The Influence of Consumer's Shopping Value, Brand Awareness and Types of Promotion on Purchase of Bundled Cosmetics (소비자의 쇼핑가치, 브랜드인지도 그리고 다발가격 화장품의 판촉유형이 화장품 구매에 미치는 영향)

  • The purposes of this research were to investigate the influences of shopping value, brand awareness, and the types of sales promotion on the purchase of bundled cosmetics. In experiment, 1) shopping value 2) brand awareness 3) types of sales promotion were manipulated as independent variables, and consumer preference and purchasing intention of bundle of cosmetics were measured as dependent variables. This research was an experimental design which was $2{\times}2{\times}2$ mixed factorial design. For the data analysis, factor analysis, cluster analysis, three-way ANOVA were used by utilizing SAS program. The main results of the study were summarized as follows: First, the results indicated that the consumer of hedonic shopping value have a positive effect on preferring price-cut sales, especially if brand awareness is high. Second, the consumer of utilitarian shopping value preferred price-cut sales to special offer, irrespective of brand awareness. This result indicates that consumers who gets more involved in and enjoys shopping are likely to have more brand awareness than others. This. seems to be the important characteristics of shopping. Consumer who have utilitarian shopping value concerned in price. The result showed the 3-way interaction effects on the consumer preference of bundle of cosmetics.

Infection control awareness and practice for clothing management in 119 emergency medical technicians (구급대원의 의복관리를 위한 감염관리 인지도와 수행도)

  • Purpose: A descriptive study design was used to investigate infection management awareness and infection management performance for clothing management in 119 emergency medical technicians (EMTs). Method: 188 paramedics and basic EMTs completed questionnaires between March 1 and April 30, 2013 in Jeollabuk-do. Results: Participants' average score for infection control awareness was 2.69 and that for performance was 1.58, with the differences being statistically significant (t = 931.455, p = .003). Participants' general characteristics resulted in differences in infection management performance. Women (1.63) have scored higher than men (1.28), and the difference was statistically significant (t = 11.174, p = .001). Participants who had clinical experience (1.63) had higher scores than participants who did have clinical experience before (1.53) and, again, the difference was significant (t = 7.167, p = .009). Conclusion: Education program for infection management is need to be developed for more effective infection management.

Brand Preference and Performance of Domestic and Imported Fashion Accessary Brands (국내 및 해외 유명 잡화 브랜드의 선호도와 성과에 대한 연구)

  • The purposes of this study were to identify brand equity factors influencing brand preference and to investigate the effects of preference and other factors on brand performance of domestic and imported fashion accessary(handbag, shoes, purse, etc.) brands. A total of 300 women aged between 20 and 49 years were surveyed during the month of September, 2006, on 2 domestic brands and 2 imported brands that were well-known to consumers. The data were analyzed with factorial analysis, multiple regression analysis, ANOVA, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, etc., using the SPSS 10.0. The result of research showed: 1) Four factors of brand equity were identified: quality, awareness, image, and trust. 2) Quality, awareness, price acceptability, distribution proximity, and brand performance of the domestic brands were higher than those of the imported brands. But brand preference of the imported brands was higher than that of the domestic brands. 3) Brand preference of the domestic brands was affected by quality, awareness, image, and trust. And brand performance of the domestic brands was affected by appropriateness, brand preference, and distribution proximity. 4) Brand preference of the imported brands was affected by image, quality, awareness, and trust. And brand performance of the imported brands was affected by price acceptability, appropriateness, and distribution proximity.

The Clothing Consumption Behavior of Fast Fashion Purchaser according to Environmental Consciousness (환경의식에 따른 패스트패션 구매자의 의복소비행동에 관한 연구)

  • This study investigates clothing consumption behavior of fast fashion purchasers according to environmental consciousness. Questionnaire examined 245 males and females in Busan who experienced fast fashion product purchases. Data were analyzed using factor analysis, t-test. ANOVA, Duncan Test and ${\chi}^{2}-test$. The results are as follows. First, the result showed significant differences in environmental consciousness education according to demographic characteristics. Second, the results showed significant differences in the hedonic pursuit of purchase motivation for fast fashion products according to environmental consciousness. The low environmental awareness group pursued hedonic purchases towards the purchase motivation of fast fashion products. The results showed significant differences in fast fashion disposal behavior according to environmental consciousness; however, not for the disposal motivation of fast fashion. In the disposal behavior of fast fashion, the high environmental awareness group indicated social friendly disposal and the middle environmental awareness group indicated economical disposal. The result showed significant gender differences towards clothing consumption behavior of fast fashion according to demographic characteristics. Males and females showed significant differences in all purchase motivation factor for fast fashion products. They also showed significant differences in economical disposal towards fast fashion disposal behavior.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of negative appeal ads taking social problems as their themes. Two social problem ad themes concerning abortion and drug addiction were selected as stimulus. Questionnaires consisted of questions about affective response cognitive evaluation consumer's characteristics(sex, clothing involvement social problem involvement) and the ad and brand attitudes They were distributed to 200 high school students in Seoul. Results were : 1 The affective response consisted of 4 dimensions(negative inactivating activating positive) and the cognitive evaluation had 3 dimensions(utility·persuasive power creativity awareness) 2. Creativity and awareness dimensions and the ad attitude had positive influence on the brand attitude for the abortion theme ad,. Creativity dimension and consumer's clothing involvement had positive influence on the brand attitude for the drug addiction theme ad . Especially the affective response had no significant influence on the brand attitude. This result suggests that in case of negative appeal ads the affective response does not necessarily degrade the brand attitude while positive cognitive evaluation on creativity and awareness of the could influence the brand attitude favorably through raising attention to the brand resulting in high effectiveness of the ad.

The Environmental-Friendly Clothing Consumption Behavior of Middle and High School Students in Seoul (서울지역 중.고등학생의 환경친화적 의복 소비행동)

  • The goal of this research is to determine the variables which influence adolescents' environmental-friendly clothing consumption behaviors. A questionnaire was prepared to survey 768 students in 8 different middle and high schools throughout Seoul. The results of the studies are as follows; First, the experiences in environmental activities were higher than the average. Second, the level of environmental-friendly values was found to be higher than the average. Among the values, environmental-preservation scored the highest, whereas selfishness scored the lowest. Third, adolescents have the strongest desire to express their individuality by means of clothing, which includes comfortableness, price, fashion, and brand. Fourth, the environmental-friendly clothing consumption awareness was average. In this field's subcategory, disposal awareness was above the average. But when buying clothes, the awareness of environmental problems was lower than the common level. Fifth, adolescents were lower in environmental-friendly clothing consumption behavior than the common level. In the subcategory, using behavior and disposal behavior were on the average, but buying behavior was executed in an anti-eco-friendly manner. Sixth, adolescents' price pursuit and clothing disposal consciousness were important factors of environmental-friendly clothing consumption behavior.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the factor structure of sociocultural attitude toward Appearance, pursuit of clothing benefits, ambivalent consumption of fashion product and the effects of sociocultural attitude toward appearance and pursuit of clothing benefits on ambivalent consumption of fashion product. Questionnaires were administered to 425 women living in Deagu Metropolitan City and Kyungbook province. The data collected were analyzed by using frequency, factor analysis, multiple regression, ANOVA, and Duncan-test. The findings are as follows. Sociocultural attitude toward appearance was composed of two factors such as internalization, and awareness. Pursuit of clothing benefits was composed of four factors such as individuality oriented, social oriented, fashion leadership oriented, and body oriented. Ambivalent consumption of fashion product was composed of three factors such as style/price ambivalence, place of purchase ambivalence, and brand ambivalence. The effects of sociocultural attitude toward Appearance and pursuit of clothing benefits on each of ambivalent consumption of fashion product variables like style/price ambivalence, place of purchase ambivalence, and brand ambivalence were explained by the factors such as internalization, and awareness, and individuality oriented, social oriented, fashion leadership oriented, and body oriented.

  • This study was aimed to demonstrate how the analysis of the impact on confidence in the safety-conscious organizations target the clothing distribution center employees and organizational commitment. Safety awareness of employees of the clothing distribution center safety rules, safety education, road safety interests, divided into risk handling and trusted organization with the emotional trust and cognitive trust, organizational commitment was divided into affective, cognitive and normative commitment. Data collection was surveyed 185 people clothing distribution center workers, tested the hypothesis through regression analysis. The results are safety conscious exerts a positive effect on organizational trust, organizational trust was found to have a positive impact on organizational commitment.

Effects of Cosmopolitanism and Nationalism on Apparel Product Shopping (세계주의와 자국중심주의가 의류제품의 쇼핑에 미치는 영향)

  • Globalization of market has put considerable research activities in cosmopolitism and nationalism. In addition, consumer's perception of product's country of origin is widely regarded as an important influence on their shopping behavior. The objective of this paper is to investigate the joint effect of cosmopolitanism and nationalism on shopping orientation and awareness of the country of origin of fashion products among Korean young consumers. Data from 471 young Korean consumers were analyzed. According to the cosmopolitanism/nationalism measure, respondents were segmented into three groups: global, local and glocal group. Results indicated that global and glocal consumers value symbolic and non-conforming aspects of fashion product shopping and were more interested in country of origin of products than local consumers. Global consumers showed higher level of foreign product preference than local and glocal consumers. Some managerial implication for marketing practitioners was suggested.

The Effects of Brand Knowledge on Evaluations of Brand-name and Corporate-name Extension on the Levels of Brand and Corporate Awareness in Fashion Market (패션상표와 기업명 인지수준에 따라 모상표지식이 상표 및 기업명 확장제품 평가에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of brand-related and corporate-realted knowledge on brand-name extension and corporate-name extension, respectively in fashion market. Here, it is designed into three types of brand and corporate awareness; 1) Higher brand awareness and corporate awareness, 2) higher brand awareness and lower corporate awareness, and 3) lower brand awareness and higher corporate awareness. For this study, questionnaires were administered to 700 single women in twenties. The questionnaires were designed to measure evaluations of brand-name extension and corporate-name extension and brand-related and corporate-related knowledge in terms of familiarity, use experience, self-assessed knowledge, evaluation of attributes and attitude. Employing a sample of 621 women, data were analyzed by Multi-Regression analysis. Major findings of this study are summarized as follows; 1) In level of higher brand and corporate awareness, the evaluations of brand-name extension were influenced by corporate-related knowledge such as brand use experience, evaluation of brand attributes and brand attitude. Also, the evaluations of corporate-name extension were influenced by both brand-related knowledge such as brand attitude and corporate-related knowledge such as use experience of product awareness and lower corporate awareness, brand-related knowledge such as evaluation of brand attributes and brand attitude was identified as the important factor in the evaluations of brand-name extension. 3) In level of lower brand awareness and higher corporate awareness, corporate-related knowledge such as attitude toward corporate was identified as the important factor in the evaluations of corporate-name extension.
