The paper proposed a basic architecture of an agent system to support exchange and sharing of design informations by means of ACL(Agent Communication Language) which can represent design informations and knowledges. Based on the architecture of the agent system a ship initial design agent system was implemented in order to show the effectiveness of the agent-based system. The basic architecture of the agent consists of an ACL handlerand CORBA(Common Object Request Broker Architecture) objects for the exchange of ACL messages in the heterogeneous and distributed environment. The ACL handler can process expressions of knowledge and manage communication messages among the agents. The paper mainly focuses on the implementation of the ACL handler. The ACL handler consist of a KQML(Knowledge Query and Manipulation Language) handler that manages KQML messages, a conversation module, and a content handler that handles message contents. The conversation modulo implements conversation policies and checks all messages if they are allowable and meaningful messages based on the conversation policies. The implemented agent-based system was applied to the ship initial design to show the handling procedure of the agent system.

A Novel way to support typical Thermal Shut Down(TSD) circuit is proposed. In power ICs, on-time or on-duration is the key factor to anticipate an abrupt increase of internal temperature. Such an abrupt raise of the temperature can cause TSD circuit cannot protect on proper time due to the temperature detection delay come from the physical distance or the imperfect coupling between heat sources and detector. The proposed circuit checks the duty ratio touched their maximum or not in every cycle. Once duty ratio touches the maximum duty, new circuit generates the warning signal to the TSD circuit and lowers pre-determined temperature for shut down to compensate the detection delay. The novel circuit will be analyzed to the transistor level and checked the validity by simulation.

A software system that has functions of setting and coordination checking of protective relays in power transmission system has been developed. The developed system utilizes database system to store the setting values of protective relays, power system parameters, checks the relay operation and evaluates coordination of relays in real Power system or test system. The fault data to simulates a fault to evaluate the coordination of relays is generated by PSS/E and EMTP. A universal logic generator module is added to adopt the variation of each relay＇s trip logic. The proposed system has been verified through many tests in the case study, and proved to be very powerful in inspecting the setting values and coordination of relays.

An experiment was carried out using pots to investigate the effects of Chinese milk vetch on the seedling establishment and growth in rice. Four irrigations with five-day intervals and three different levels of vetch straw were investigated. Significantly higher panicle numbers were obtained in vetch-treated pots. Vetch levels were non-treatment as checks, vetch with top removed, root plus shoot 7.5 ton/ha, and root plus shoot 3.0 ton/ha. The time for complete degradation of vetch straws was reduced from 10 days to 5 days as submerged time was delayed, and was affected by the amount of mulched vetch straws. As the mulched vetch amount increased, the time for a complete degradation was extended from 4 days to 12 days. Grain yield and its components were significantly affected by irrigation time and mulched vetch amount. Effectively controlled, lowered reduction damage from the degrading vetch straw, irrigation date and vetch amount were the most important factors for the improving of seedling establishment in direct-sown rice.

The paper deals with interactive multiple criteria decision making procedure when decision maker (DM) specifies her or his preference in incomplete ways. Usually DM is willing or able to provide only incomplete information, because of time pressure and lack of knowledge or data. Under incomplete information on utility and attribute weight, the pairwise dominance checks result in strict or weak dominance values. Considering only strict dominance values sometimes fails to Prioritize alternatives because of fuzziness of preference information. Further there exists some information loss useful if used, otherwise. In this paper, we consider the outranking concept which implies the willingness of DM's taking some risk under the least favorable situation because she has enough reasons to admit the results. By comparing the magnitude of net preference degree of alternatives which is defined by difference between outrankings and outranked degree of each alternative, we can prioritize alternatives.

We report on our Galactic plane searches for magnetars in the archival Chandra X-ray Observatory (CXO) data. We summarize the properties of known magnetars and use them to establish a procedure for magnetar searches. The procedure includes four steps: source finding, spectral characterization, optical counterpart checks, and period searches. We searched 1,282 archival CXO observations, found 32,838 X-ray sources, and selected 25 intriguing candidates using the developed procedure. Although we do not firmly identify a magnetar among them, we significantly reduced the number of targets in future magnetar searches to be done with better X-ray telescopes.

최근 국내의 온라인 게임산업이 발전과 더불어 게임의 부작용에 대한 우려가 나타나고 있다. 이와 같이 일부 게임을 일반화하여 부정적으로 평가 되는 것을 방지하기 위해서 게임 콘텐츠를 다양화 하고자 히는 노력이 필요하다. 이에 본 논문에서는 그 대안으로 일반적인 기능성 게임에 대해서 살펴보고 나아가서는 기능성 게임의 필수 요소 에 대해 정리 제안 하였다.

본 연구에서는 EURO5형 엔진의 오버플루밸브 및 성능평가 시스템을 구현한다. 친환경 조건에 맞도록 정밀기능을 갖도록 개발하고, 정밀측정이 가능하도록 사용이 용이한 성능평가 시스템이 필요하다. 특히 정밀제어에 따른 성능평가는 연비가 향상되고, 환경규제를 만족한다. 이에 정밀측정 성능검사기(10cc 미만에서 3.0 Bar, 150 cc 이상에서 3.3 Bar, 250 cc이상에서 4.0 Bar)를 사용한다.

The objective of this study is to improve safe execution of the management plan in Construction Technology Promotion Act. This research addresses the issue how to prevent the collapse of facilities under construction and after completion, improve the examination system, and execute Improvement of Safety Management Plan. To achieve this goal, research providing insights into understanding the ways in which creating and presenting safety checks and deploying safety training measures effectively is imperative.

본 논문에서는 UFSN 센서를 이용하여 지하시설물관리시스템에서 유량, 유속, 압력, 진동 등 상수관로의 정보를 실시간으로 모니터링 하는 방안에 대한 연구를 하였다. UFSN 센싱 데이터 제너레이터, 게이트웨이와 미들웨어를 개발하였고, UFSN 센싱 데이터 포맷을 정의하여 센싱 데이터 전송을 검증하였다. 기존 지하시설물관리 시스템에 센싱데이터를 저장하여 GIS 도면 기반의 실시간 상수관로 모니터링을 수행하였다.
