  • 본 논문에서는 820.11n 규격에 적합한 Fractional-N 주파수 합성기를 설계하였다. 본 논문에서 설계한 주파수 합성기의 특징은 PFD(Phase Frequency Detector) 뒷단에 잔여 펄스를 제거하는 Pulse Remover를 연결하여 이중 궤환 Charge Pump의 안정도를 향상시켰으며, Charge Pump에서 동시에 발생하는 Up/Down 전류로 인한 Spike성 전류를 없앰으로서 스퓨리어스를 최소화 시켰다. Pulse Removed PFD를 사용함으로서 발생하는 PFD Deadzon문제는 2N+2분주와 2N-2분주기를 3차의 ${\Delta}{\Sigma}$ Modulator가 선택해줌으로 해결하였다. 삼성 0.18u 공정을 이용하여 설계 하였으며 각 블락은 Cadence spectre 를 이용하여 검증하였다.

  • This paper presents methods to achieve and control accurate output voltage. PSR removed secondary output voltage sensing circuit, therefore standby power loss can be decreased. When sensing the auxiliary winding voltage, sensing must be done at accurate branch which has $V_O$ information. For this reason this paper presents the PSR sensing technique using sawtooth wave and peak detector. Circuit verification carried out with Spectre in Cadence corporation and Manga/Hynix $0.35{\mu}m$ 700V process.

  • 본 연구에서는 12bit 1MSps 연속 근사화 아날로그-디지털 변환기(Analog to Digital Converter : ADC)를 설계하였다. 설계된 아날로그-디지털 변환기는 0.18um 1Metal 6Poly CMOS 공정을 이용하였고, Cadence tool을 이용하여 시뮬레이션 및 레이아웃 하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과 1.8V의 공급전압에서 전력 소모는 6mW였고, 입력 신호의 주파수가 100kHz 일 때, SNDR은 69.53dB, 유효 비트수는 11.26bit의 결과를 보였다.

  • The purpose of this study was to describe the gait pattern and parameters of the healthy elderly over 65years of age by the GATERite system. The subjects were sorted into two groups, depending on their sex: male and female. And female subjects were sorted into three groups, depending on their age. From time parameters and space parameters of gait cycle, between groups, the following results were made. The time parameters such as cadence, velocity, step time, single support and double support were the less the male than the female. And the higher age, the lower value except 80 age group, while no statistically significant. The space parameters(step length and stride length) were the longer the male than the female, and the higher age, the lower value while no statistically signigicant. The functional ambulation profile was high correlation with time and space parameters statistically significant.

  • Purpose : The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of plastic ankle foot orthosis on adult post-stroke hemiplegic patients walking ability and balance. Method : The searched for the case controlled clinical trials about the effects of plastic ankle foot orthosis(pAFO) for walking ability and balance using quantitative gait analysis in adult post-stroke patients. Ten trials were selected from Riss4U databases published until June 2016 in Korea. The selected trials contained a control group with pre-test and post-test design, measured walking ability and balance as a dependent variable. Result : The selected ten trials involved a total of 180 patients. The walking speed, cadence, the portion of double limb supporting, stride length on affected side were improved by plastic ankle foot orthosis. Conclusion : The plastic ankle foot orthosis has some evidence to improve the walking ability and balance in post-stroke hemiplegic patients.

고속 저전력 곱셈기에 적합한 ENMODL CLA 설계 (Design of ENMODL CLA for Low Power High Speed Multiplier)

  • 본 논문에서는 고속 저전력 곱셈기에 적합한 CPA(Carry Propagation Adder)부분의 ENMODL (Enhanced NORA MODL) 설계방식을 제안한다. ENMODL 설계방식은 반복성이 많은 CLA(Carry-Look-ahead Adder) 가산기와 같은 회로에서 많은 면적을 줄일 수 있고 동작 속도를 빠르게 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 저전력 고속 곱셈기에 적합한 CPA 부분을 ENMODL CLA 가산기로 설계했고 현대 0.6$\mu\textrm{m}$ 2-poly 3-metal 공정파라미터를 이용하여 HSPICE로 시뮬레이션 하여 회로의 성능을 확인하였다. 또한, CADENCE tool을 이용하여 16비트 곱셈기에 적합한 ENMODL CLA를 레이아웃 하여 칩 제작 중에 있다.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the characteristics oi gait patterns and to find the effects of the gait function on the P.N.F. pelvic pattern. The subjects of this study were 40 hemiplegic patients who either hospitalized in or out patients at department physical therapy, Tae-Bong hospital and Masan college health education center. The study on these patient were done from July 20.1999 through May 10,2000. Method of gait pattern assessment used ink foot print record. The results were as follows: 1. There were significiant difference in cadence and stride length(p<0.05). 2. There were significiant difference in gait velocity (p<0.05).

새로운 Ternary CAM을 이용한 고속 허프만 디코더 설계 (A high speed huffman decoder using new ternary CAM)

  • In this paper, the huffman decoder which is a part of the decoder in JPEG standard format is designed by using a new Ternary CAM. First, the 256 word * 16 bit-size new bit-word all parallel Ternary CAM system is designed and verified using SPICE and CADENCE Verilog-XL, and then the verified novel Ternary CAM is applied to the new huffman decoder architecture of JPEG. So the performnce of the designed CAM cell and it's block is verified. The new Ternary CAM has various applications because it has search data mask and storing data mask function, which enable bit-wise search and don't care state storing. When the CAM is used for huffman look-up table in huffman decoder, the CAM is partitioned according to the decoding symbol frequency. The scheme of partitioning CAM for huffman table overcomes the drawbacks of all-parallel CAM with much power and load. So operation speed and power consumption are improved.

Immediate Effect of Kinesiology Taping on Gait Function in Stroke Patients with Foot Drop

  • Background: Recently, the kinesiology taping (KT) method was reported to be effective in improving walking ability in foot drop patients after stroke, but the clinical basis is still unclear. Objectives: The KT method was compared with ankle-foot orthotics (AFO) to investigate gait ability in foot drop patients after stroke. Design: Crossover study design. Methods: In this study, 11 stroke patients with foot drop participated. Walking ability of all subjects for both conditions (KT and AFO) was measured using the GAITRite system. The order of application of the two conditions was determined randomly by drawing lots. Wilcoxon signed-rank test was used to compare walking ability between the two conditions. The level of statistical significance was set at P<.05. Results: There were no significant differences between the KT and AFO methods in terms of velocity, cadence, step length, and stride length (P>.05, all). Conclusion: This study recommends KT as an alternative to the AFO, since KT provides evidence of preventing of foot drops and improving gait ability in stroke patient.

  • High resolution, multi-wavelength images from the Dutch Open Telescope were used to study the detailed mechanisms that might be involved in the multiple layer solar atmosphere observed in high cadence multi-wavelength observations. With the exceptional data observed for active region NOAA 10789 on 2005 July 13th, we study the changing pattern of the fibril using multi-wavelength tomography of the $H{\alpha}$ line center and blue wing, Ca II H, and the G Band. It is believed that a long fibril that is rooted in the umbra, with longer apparent periodicity, may be due to morphological changes. To determine this, we conduct phase difference and coherency analysis between points along the fibril to understand how the wave propagates.
