Purpose - This study analyzed the correlation between economic liberalization and foreign direct investment. The purpose of this study is to seek ways to attract foreign direct investment from developing countries. Design/methodology/approach - This study analysed with observations of 19 from 2000 to 2018 using a fixed effect model, a random effect model, and a two-way fixed effect model. Findings - First, it was found that economic liberalization had a positive effect on attracting foreign direct investment in the early stages of economic liberalization. Second, it was found that economic liberalization in the deepening stage of economic liberalization had a negative effect on attracting foreign direct investment. In general, it was found that the higher the level of economic liberalization in developing countries is not accompanied by innovative changes in the industrial structure, the higher the level of economic liberalization is likely to decrease the inducement of foreign direct investment due to negative factors such as an increase in labor costs. Overall, this study approved that Economic liberalization have a non-linear (inverted U-shape) relationship with the inflow of foreign direct investment. Research implications or Originality - First, this study attempted to expand the variables for the determinants of FDI by analyzing economic factors which is a determinent of FDI. Second, economic liberalization generally has a positive effect on foreign direct investment, but it proved that it does not have only positive effects as a factor of attracting foreign direct investment in developing countries. The advantage of low wages in ASEAN countries acts as a factor for foreign direct investment, but as the degree of economic liberalization increases, the environment such as government size, guarantee of property rights, international trade freedom, fiscal soundness, and regulations change positively. On the other hand, it can be suggested that if the industrial level is less, it may lead to a loss of comparative advantage and a decrease in investment.
Purpose - This paper empirically explores the RCA of electrical equipment trade between China and Korea from the perspective of gross trade and value-added trade. The goal of this paper is to scan the electrical equipment's RCA, the decomposition of gross exports, and the impacts of an exerted shock. Design/methodology - We applied the domestic value-added method in measuring the RCA, which could be more accurate than traditional RCA since it excludes foreign value-added. Based on the research purpose, this paper follows the framework of Koopman, Wang, and Wei (2014)-as extended by Wang, Wei, and Zhu (2018). It extracts the data from the 2019 Multi-regional Input-Output (MRIO) databases compiled by the Asian Development Bank in January 2021. Findings - After rigorous examination, the main findings are as follows: First, the electrical equipment sector maintains a consistent comparative advantage in either assessing method. Second, China exports more gross goods of electrical equipment to the world than South Korea does, but there is a trade deficit with Korea. Third, South Korea and P.R. China are the most significant bilateral partners of foreign value-added sourcing. Finally, it is surprising that there is a shock on electrical equipment; the partner's service, as well as manufacturing sectors, would be affected. Originality/value - This paper explores the revealed comparative advantage between Korea and China from traditional gross export and value-added perspectives. Second, we apply the information from the 2019 MRIO database compiled by the Asian Development Bank in January 2021, reflecting the current situation. Third, this paper analyzes the electrical equipment and the impacts on other parties' sectors. Finally, we carry out the subjects that deserve to be investigated in the future.
Due to natural disasters such as heavy rain that occurred in the metropolitan area in August 2022, human casualties and property damage are increasing. Accordingly, the government is making efforts to respond to natural disasters, but due to the absence of related standards and standardized standards, problems such as increased construction costs and deterioration in construction quality for disaster prevention facility maintenance projects are occurring. Accordingly, a rough construction cost estimation module was developed and applied to 25 new pumping stations in Korea. As a result of the analysis, the accuracy of the rough construction cost derived through the module recorded 70% of the detailed design cost, which is 4% higher than the previously used rough construction cost accuracy of 66% by the Ministry of Environment. Accordingly, it is expected that the efficiency of the disaster prevention project can be increased if the developed module is used to calculate the rough construction cost for storm and flood disaster prevention in the future.

Uncertainty in the employment market from the COVID-19 created incomplete employment. As a result, job seekers were required to have overqualifications than job requirements. In previous studies, overqualified workers by incomplete employment were not satisfied with their jobs. A representative result is the intention to change jobs. However, within COVID-19, the perceived overqualification of workers will appear differently. This is because in a rapidly increased employment competition environment due to COVID-19, it will appear as loyalty to maintain a stable job. As a result of this study, work experience was the greatest benefit and high risk for office workers. In addition, both the benefits and risks of overqualification affected loyalty. Unlike the negative impact as in previous studies, workers tried to remain stable at work in an unstable employment environment caused by COVID-19.
As music streaming services (MSS) involve various interactions with users during the music consumption process, it is important to understand the user experience and manage the service accordingly. This study developed a user experience model for MSS by theoretically linking the quality characteristics considered important by music service users with the structure of user experience. PLS analysis was then performed using survey data to test the model. As a result, functionality (search, browsing, and personalized recommendation), UI usability, content quality (currentness, sufficiency, relevance), and monetary cost were found to be key experience factors that determine the experience consequence, i.e., user satisfaction. In addition, in a supplementary analysis comparing domestic and global services, differences in user experience were found between the two groups in terms of functionality and content quality. The user experience model of MSS proposed in this study serves as a new foundation for theory-based research in this field and provides meaningful implications for the competitive landscape among music streaming service platforms and for their competitive strategies.
Purpose The purpose of this study is to examine the customer experience of generative AI among office workers aged 30 to 40, investigating usability, usefulness, and affect, and understanding concerns and expectations. Design/Methodology/Approach This research used Q methodology to assess the customer experience of generative AI. Users are engaged in a problem-solving journey, and data is collected by having participants rank 36 statements based on usability, usefulness, and affect, referred to as the three goals of User Experience. Participants use a forced distribution table with a scale from -5 to +5 to indicate the subjective importance of each statement. The results identified four groups, reflecting different perspectives and attitudes toward generative AI. Findings Participants express overall comfort with generative AI, perceive AI as more knowledgeable in unfamiliar domains, but harbor doubts about AI's understanding. Disagreements emerge on AI replacing humans, the value of unique human roles, data confidentiality, fears of AI advancement, and emotional impacts. Identified four groups: Users who treat AI as a soulless assistant and are active in business use, Uncle users who want to use new technologies properly and are not afraid of technology, users who recognize the limits of AI despite its efficiency, and users who require strong verification in the future. It has the potential to guide future guidelines, ethical codes, and regulations for the appropriate use of AI. In addition, this approach lays the groundwork for future empirical analyses of generative AI.
The purpose of this study is to propose a record service based on the characteristics and production context of presidential records. To this end, we first looked at the design direction and characteristics of the e-jiwon system and then analyzed the structure and characteristics of records produced by the e-jiwon system. There are six types of records to be analyzed: e-jiwon document card, memo, schedule, diary, instruction card, and individual business system_speech DB. Next, through analysis of the Presidential Records Portal's records service, it was pointed out that the current records service does not fully reveal the production context and characteristics of records. Accordingly, as a service strategy based on the characteristics and context of presidential records, a service centered on each record card (e-jiwon document card, etc.) and a service that focuses on structural understanding of records and linkage between records were proposed.

Through a press release dated July 17, 2018, the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission recommended that the National Fire Agency develop preventive measures against fire in the "Indoor Archery Ground" and "Room Escape Café" etc., which were originally excluded from the category of "Publicly Used Establishments." This study developed the hierarchy of domains and indicators of measurement for fire risk assessment of the new business of publicly used establishments through the Delphi Method. It analyzed the goodness of fit scores (over 3.00) and secured an average score of 4.25. Using AHP analysis, the ratio of consistency for the domains of measurement of fire risk assessment was found to be 4.0%, which was lower than CR ≤ 0.1 (10%). The consistency of subsequent measurement indicators were distributed in the range of 0.1%~3.6%, and they were identified as being commonly consistent. The indicators of measurement appeared as follows in order of importance and priority: Type of Internal Passage of Establishment and Evacuation Capacity of Exit (0.316), Control of Ignition Source (0.141), Inherent Risk (0.106), Appropriateness and Adaptiveness of Fire Detection System (0.097), Control of Inflammables/Combustibles (0.084), Guides and Facilities helping Evacuation (0.075), Fire Resistant Structure and Finishing Materials (0.060), Compartmentalization and Emergency Exit (0.049), Risk of Fire Expansion (0.046), and Appropriateness and Adaptiveness of Fire Extinguishing Facilities (0.026). The findings of this study are expected to be expansively used as data for future research on the development of fire risk assessment indicators.
Public Shared Service Centers (PSSC) consolidate functions such as human resources, information technology, financial management or accounting into one office to serve an organization. A prominent example from the United States is the Federal Information Technology Shared Services Strategy. It supports mission, administrative, and infrastructure-related IT functions through providing organizations in the Executive Branch of the Federal Government (Federal Agencies) with policy guidance on the full range and lifecycle of intra- and inter-agency information technology (IT) shared services. This study looks at the Federal Information Technology Shared Services Strategy in order to draw lessons for fostering collaborative government through the use of PSSC. It finds the following factors are critical for success when implementing IT shared services: (1) agency leadership must be solidly behind their IT shared service plan, or the needed changes will not happen at the business unit, program, or system levels; (2) there must be a move away from internally-centered, program-specific thinking, and a move toward a paradigm of consuming and providing IT shared services with multiple groups whenever possible; and (3) successfully managing "loss of control" issues is central, and optimizing business processes is essential to move from stove-piped workflows to processes that work across the agency enterprise and beyond. Therefore, the study suggests that a Korean model of PSSC implementation be introduced, and that good IT Governance is a crucial component of PSSC strategies.
The purposes of this study were 1) to analyze the effect of the ERP quality (system quality, information quality, service quality) on the performance (end user satisfaction, user's performance, system utilization) of business, 2) to conduct the causal-effect analysis between outcome variables (user's satisfaction, user's performance, system utilization) of ERP in the contract foodservice management company. The questionnaires were distributed to 260 end users (dietitians, foodservice management managers) in charge of managing the institutional foodservice such as the office (government agencies, factories), schools (universities, middle and high school) and hospitals which were managed by contract foodservice management company 'C' in Seoul and Kyunggi. The surveys were performed from July 26, 2004 to July 30. 2004. Two hundred and fifty (250) questionnaires were responded (response rate: 96.2%). The statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS Win (11.5). And the descriptive analysis, factor analysis, reliability test, pearson correlation, simple and multiple regression analysis were performed. The results showed that among the 3 factors (system quality, information quality, service quality), the system quality and information quality were proved to have an effect on the user's satisfaction and user's performance significantly (p < .05). The influence of ERP quality (system quality, information quality, service quality) on system utilization were testified to be statistically significant (p < .05). The user's performance were affected significantly by system utilization (p < 0.001) and end user's satisfaction (p < 0.001). As a conclusion, to improve user satisfaction, which is the ultimate performance variable of an ERP system, high quality of an ERP system is the pre-requisite. And the user satisfaction and performance of business would be higher with the better quality ERP system. When constructing ERP system for the contract foodservice management company, we should improve system utilization and user satisfaction altogether so that user's performance could be ultimately enhanced and we should make efforts to enhance the quality level of ERP.
