구조 최적화를 위한 특징형상 재설계 알고리즘 (A Feature-based Reconstruction Algorithm for Structural Optimization)

  • This paper examines feature-based reconstruction algorithm using feature-based modeling and based on topology optimization technology, which aims to achieve a minimal volume weight and to satisfy user-defined constraints such as stress, deformation related conditions. The finite element model after topology optimization allows us to remove some region of a solid model for predefined volume requirement. The stress or deformation distribution resulted from finite element analysis enables us to add some material to the solid model for a robust structure. For this purpose, we propose a feature-based redesign algorithm which inserts negative features to the solid model for material removal and positive features for material addition, and we introduce a bisection method which searches an optimal structure by iteratively applying the feature-based redesign algorithm. Several examples are considered to illustrate the proposed algorithms and to demonstrate the effectiveness of the present approach.

  • The iron loss in electric machines takes large part of machine losses and the reduction of iron loss brings the increase of the efficiency. In the rotating machines, however it is very difficult to calculate result because the measuring processes are very complex and laborious. As is well known, the relation between the flux density B and the magnetic field intensity H relation is not linear. For the iron loss, B and H must be measured and usually B becomes the reference wave(sine wave) and the following H is measured using H-coil. To make the B as sine wave, B is controlled by some devices. The error is controlled to become zero by the proposed algorithm which uses the bisection algorithm. The experiments are compared with the simulation results, and they show acceptable agreements.

  • Finite failure NHPP models presented in the literature exhibit either constant, monotonic increasing or monotonic decreasing failure occurrence rates per fault. Accurate predictions of software release times, and estimation of the reliability and availability of a software product require quantification of a critical element of the software testing process : test coverage. This model called enhanced non-homogeneous poission process(ENHPP). In this paper, exponential coverage and S-coverage model was reviewed, proposes the exponentiated exponential coverage reliability model, which maked out efficiency substituted for gamma and Weibull model(2 parameter shape illustrated by Gupta and Kundu(2001). In this analysis of software failure data, algorithm to estimate the parameters used to maximum likelihood estimator and bisection method, model selection based on SSE statistics for the sake of efficient model, was employed.

  • 3차원 자유곡면의 교차문제는 기하학적인 방법과 수치적인 방법으로 해결할 수 있으며, 지금까지는 일반적으로 선체형상의 단면을 얻기 위해서 기하학적인 방법인 곡면분할 기법을 사용하여 왔다. 본 논문에서는 할선법, 선형보간법 및 반분법 등 간단한 수치해석 방법들을 사용하여서, Bi-Cubic B-Spline Surface로 표현된 선체형상과 임의의 평면에 의해 교차된 선체 단면형상을 갖는 방법을 수행하여 비교 검토하고자 한다. 곡면간의 교체문제는 임의의 단면형상 파악, 선도작성 및 offset Table 구성에 직접 응용되어진다.

변단면 기둥의 자유진동 및 최소임계하중 해석 (Free Vibrations and First Critical Loads of Tapered Columns)

  • The main purpose of this paper is to present both the natural frequencies and the first critical loads of tapered columns. The ordinary differential equation governing the free vibration for tapered columns under compressive axial force is derived. Three kinds of cross sectional shape are considered in the governing equation. The Runge-Kutta method and determinant search method are used to perform the integration of the differential equation and to determine the natural frequencies, respectively. Additionally, the bisection method is used to determine the critical loads. In numerical examples, the effects of compressive axial force on the natural frequencies of tapered columns are investigated varying the end conditions. The first critical loads of tapered columns are determined on the basis of dynamic concepts. The first critical loads of tapered columns are determined on the basis of dynamic concept.   • 본 논문에서는 일간 시간대별 에너지저장장치 (Energy Storage System, ESS) 최적 충 방전량 스케줄링을 이용하여 계통연계형 마이크로그리드 내에 설치되는 ESS의 용량을 산정한다. 대상 마이크로그리드의 과거 부하데이터를 이용하여 절감하고자 하는 양을 정하고, 이를 이용하여 전력변환장치(Power Conditioning System, PCS)의 정격출력량을 산정한다. ESS용량의 기준점을 정하여 이분법 적용구간을 설정하고, 반복연산을 통해 최적 ESS용량을 찾는 과정을 제시한다.

DEA에서 교차효율성의 공격적 정형화 (An Aggressive Formulation of Cross-efficiency in DEA)

  • We propose a new aggressive formulation of cross-efficiency in Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA). In the traditional aggressive formulation, the efficiency score of a test DMU is maximized as the first goal while an average of efficiency scores of peer DMUs is minimized as the second goal. The proposed model replaces the second goal with the minimization of the best efficiency score of peer DMUs. We showed the model is a quasi-convex optimization problem, and for a solution method we developed a bisection method whose computational complexity is polynomial-time. We tested the model on 200 randomly generated DEA problems, and compared it with the traditional model in terms of various criteria. The experimental results confirmed the effectiveness and usefulness of the proposed model.

  • For the analysis of machined surface topography and machine-tool chatter, the cutting system is considered to be a single degree of freedom system. This paper presents a modeling method of equivalent vibratory system for precision cutting in end-milling using an impact test, an Autoregressive Moving Average (ARMA) mode] and a bisection method It has been shown that the proposed modeling method provides a good identification of the cutting system. The advantages of the proposed method in comparison to the existing method are that it is very easy and accurate.

  • Numerical methods are developed to obtain the buckling loads and to analyze the postbuckling behavior of the tapered steel piles. The nondimensional differential equations governing the elastica of the buckled piles are derived by the third order theory and solved numerically. The Runge-Kutta method is used to solve the differential equations, and the bisection method is used to obtain the buckling loads and the reaction moments of the clamped ends. Both the linear and stepped taper of the steel piles are considered as the variable crosssection in the differential equations. As the numerical results, the equilibrium paths, the buckling loads vs. section ratio curves and the typical elastica and the bending moment diagrams of the buckled piles are presented in figures. Experimental studies that complement the theoretical results are presented. It is expected that the numerical methods developed in this study for calculating the buckling loads and analyzing the postbuckling behavior of the steel piles are used in the structural and foundation engineering.

  • A three dimensional adaptive finite element analysis algorithm is developed. In the method, the edge elements are used for field analysis, and the local error. In each element is estimated from the fact that the magnetic field should satisfy. The continuity condition at the interface of the two adjacent elements. Based on the estimated error, the elements which are considered to have big error are divided into several elements using the bisection method. The effectiveness of the developed algorithm is proved through numerical examples.
