The purpose of this study was to examine what was the child's character education recognized by mothers of multicultural families and what was the actual conditions and needs of the child's character education at home through the in-depth interviews, and to suggest the efficient direction of the child's character education for mothers of multicultural families. The research participants were 6 mothers with children in multicultural families who lived in E city of Gangwon-do. The results of this study were as follows. First, as for the child's character education recognized by mothers of multicultural families, it was said to doing character education at home such as becoming a good person, becoming a child to listen to the parent's words and to reconcile with family, and becoming a child who was in harmony with friends. Second, as for the actual conditions of child's character education, they often used a control language such as "Do not, no", when children did not behave properly. In particular, there were some cases of using threatening words such as "taking you to the police station". Third, they hoped that various interests and support would be provided, such as not listening to "You are ill-behaved because you are in a multicultural family," receiving husband's educational support, receiving grandparents' support, and interests from the educational institution, etc.
What is the meaning of menopause experienced by urban Korean women? Nurses need an under standing of menopause as it is experienced by women themselves. Nursing needs to build knowledge of womens' health experiences. This phenomenological study examined what menopause means to modern Korean woman to build a structure of knowledge useful for practice to enhance the quality of life of women throughout this experience. Traditional definition of menopause according to physiological changes, as illness and more recently as psychosociocultural phenomena were examined along with the folk lore information generally available in the society A review of the research and scientific literature was done from the perspectives of four models including the medical model of menopause as disease, the psychosocial model as positive and negative behavioral responses to menopause, a feminist model of menopause as a time of rebirth and a nursing model of the changing patterns of meaning, rythms and transformation women experience through menopause. Van Kaam's method was used to analyse data audio-recorded during interviews by the investigator with 65 women, 40 to 60 years of agey whose confidentility was assured. Interpretation of the data was enhanced luther by consultation with professional colleugues and with informants. Four rhythmical patterns of process emerged : from suffering to comfort, from oppression to freedom from being a good wife and wise mother to becoming a woman and from a hard life to an abundant life. The detailed common elements making up each of the four patterns and definitions of each pattern were presented. Each pattern was discussed critically from the point of view of medical, psychosociocultural, womens' and nursing models. The structural definition of the synthesis of the four process patterns was stated as : in spite of suffering the middle-aged urban Korean woman find she is able to help herself to feel comfortable and to realize release as she moves from oppression to liberation and freedom from being a good wife and wise mother she experiences rebirth as a woman : she begins to live a profitable and valuable life : her life becomes one of transformed abundant living. The definition transcends the medical and phychosociocultural model to embody a nursing model. The analysis was critiqued by using Parse' Human Becomming theory of nursing because the emerging themes were process patterns. Parse' theory provides and explanation of the experience of menopause consistant with the data which enhances nursing understanding of womens' experience of menopause. Parse' practice methodology provide guidance for promoting womens' quality of life throughout the experience of menopause. Feminist analysis contributes valuable critique to nursing research, richly expanding the perspective from traditional approaches to promote understanding of the meaning of womens' health experiences.
Objectives : KangHaiChengZhiLun (亢害承制論; If Excess Brings Harm, Lifing Qi (承氣) Restrains) was originally a theory that explained how the realms of nature remain in harmony and equilibrium. It later became an important theory for clinical trials of Traditional Chinese Medicine, explaining the physiological and pathological mechanism. Methods : The researcher considered all the annotations and the original text of SuWen(素問), LiuWeiZhiDaLun(六微旨大論) and theories of medical practitioners who applied KangHaiChengZhiLun(亢害承制論) to their clinical trials. Results & Conclusions : Wangbing (王氷) went with a theory that phenomena of Lifting Qi (承氣) take place in the realms of nature when Qi (氣) flourishes. In XinJiaoZheng(新校正), he wrote about two theories: one was that Six Kinds of Natural Factors (六氣) first work as the main Qi (本氣) but later bring about Lifting Qi. (終見下承之氣說); the other was that excessive Stagnation Qi (鬱氣) can be exploded and invite another accompanying Qi, Lifting Qi. (甚者兼其下承之氣說) Liuwansu (劉完素) had a theory that if Six Kinds of Natural Factors go disproportionately excessive, it becomes accompanied by imaginary Qi (假象) that conquers self. (反兼勝己之化說) $Wangl{\ddot{u}}$(王履) maintained that Lifting Qi usually works as a means to prevent Six Kinds of Natural Factors (六氣) from becoming rampant; but when Six Kinds of Natural Factors become overly excessive, Lifting Qi restrains them in order to maintain equilibrium. (防之與克勝說) Yutuan explained that since Excessive Qi (亢氣) does damage to the mother of Lifting Qi, Lifting Qi restrains Excessive Qi to protect Original Qi (元氣), its mother. (護救承者之元氣說) Gongtingxian was in favor of two theories: one argued that causes and symptoms of a disease differ from each other. (體用不同說); the other said that diseases are naturally cured if the patient finds out the time when Lifting Qi gains strength. (得承之時自愈說) Mashi (馬蒔) had a theory that Lifting Qi is generated when Six Kinds of Natural Factors are prosperous and reveals itself when its season comes. (極則生承氣 至本位著說) Zhangjiebin (張介賓) asserted that when Six Kinds of Natural Factors are thriving, Lifting Qi, as a restraining force, is generated to disperse the thriving natural factors and leads to a new one. (前之退而後之進說) Zhangqi (張琦)'s argument was that if Lifting Qi restrains the main Qi, a son of the main Qi is generated and every four season goes in harmony. (承氣制則生化說) Hemengyao (何夢瑤) had an argument that a son of the restrained Qi succeeds to its father and later achieves equilibrium by restraining Excessive Qi. (被克承父 制之平衡說).

Parenthood, the satisfactions it provides and the demands it makes, varies as life progresses : and changes with the parent's interests, needs, and age as well as with the children's maturation. There are phases in the child's life that the parents are reluctant to have pass, whereas they tolerate others largely through knowing that they will soon be over. The changing lives of the children provide many satisfactions that offset the tribulations, uncertainties, and regrets. The parents change. He becomes secure with increasing achievement and interacts differently with the youngest child and provides a different model for him than for the oldest. This paper examined the immanent ideological bases in the transformation motif of animations, focusing on several leading animation works in which a human gets transformed into an animal, or vice versa, and also took a look at what meaning and function this transformation motif adds to their narrative. As a result of analyzing the animation texts centered on the transformation motif, transforming into an animal in is applied as a means for punishment. It shows the notion that the animals need men's care, that is, the anthropocentric point of view that the animals need to be overcome and conquered had a strong influence upon this work. However, in , a boy realizes that the animals(nature) are not the targets to conquer and learns to appreciate the principle of Mother Nature through the process of becoming a bear. By this description, this work shows deep reflection on nature and human being. Lastly, shows a desire to overpass the border to forbidden things, and describes the relationship between men and animals(nature) in a variety of perspectives. Furthermore, this study examined how the variety of attitudes toward the transformation targets is formed in each work.
Purpose: This study aimed to have an in-depth understanding of the structure and essence of the living experiences of unmarried mothers institutionalized after childbirth through phenomenological research. Methods: The data were collected through in-depth interview with 9 unmarried mothers from October 1, 2016 to February 2017 and this is qualitative research using Colazzi's phenomenological research method. Results: The living experiences of unmarried mothers institutionalized after childbirth had 15 themes in 4 theme clusters: 'childbirth and parenting,' 'living in women's refuge,' 'becoming independent as proud mother,' and 'disentangled thread.' Conclusion: After childbirth, unmarried mothers experienced psychological pressure from the need to cope with lonely and wearing reality by themselves but struggled to overcome the reality together with their child. Unmarried mothers hoped to live the life they chose proudly and happily together with their child. It is therefore necessary to give residential and environmental support to unmarried mothers in pursuit of their stable living and to change the awareness in the whole society with the aim of removing negative social attitude and discrimination, accepting differences, and living together.
Purpose: This study aimed to identify the scores of postpartum depression(PPD) on the first day, 1st week, and 6th week after the delivery and to explore their related factors before and after delivery in postpartum women. Methods: With a survey design, 293 postpartum women were recruited from a postpartum unit, Ilsin Christian hospital in Pusan via convenience sampling and were followed at 1st week and 6th week in the outpatient clinic. Results: Results showed that the scores of PPD(EPDS score) were low at postpartum 1st day, 1st week and 6th week but prevalence of PPD(EPDS ${\geq}13$)was 3.1%at 1st day, 8.2%at 1st week and 7.5%at 6th week, respectively. The pre-delivery factors were experience of depression, and the post-delivery factors were baby's sex(1st day), no caregiver for baby(1st week), and no help and concern for taking care of baby from husband and family(1st day and 6th week). The greater satisfaction with becoming a mother and her life, and greater maternal attachment were related to lower level of PPD at the three time points. Conclusion: Regular screening for postpartum depression and supportive and informative education is needed for postpartum women visiting the outpatient clinic for follow-up.
The purpose of the phenomenological study was to explore the meaning of family adjustment process experience according to married immigrant women's perception and to enrich our understanding. In order to accomplish the purpose of research, six married immigrant women participated. Data were collected through in-depth interview. In addition, the data were analyzed by a Colaizzi's phenomenological analysis. The findings showed that the meaning of family adjustment process experience in married immigrant women were identified as 37 themes and 8categories. The 8 categories consisted of "deciding to marry a foreigner", "first meeting and marriage", "starting to living as a korean", "getting along with husband", "becoming a family with in-laws", "playing one's role as a mother", "missing hometown and family", "adjusting to living in Korea". Based on the findings, we discussed the meaning of family adjustment process experience in married immigrant women. And lastly, this results made suggestions for the social welfare policies and practices for them and their families.
