The purpose of this study is to investigate characteristics of hydromorpological structures that affect landscape preference and visual characteristics on the sections of the designated streams where have dynamic ecological characteristics. We evaluated the ecological status of the streams utilizing LAWA to assess hydromorpological structures of streams. We also investigated preference and visual characteristics of stream landscapes through Semantic Differential Scale(SD scale). The differences of visual images according to the characteristics of hydromorpological structures in the sites were analyzed by descriptive statistics, One-way ANOVA, and t-test. As a result, this study showed that sections represented as "good" ecological status are shown to be harmonious, beautiful, natural, and clean comparing to sections represented as "poor" ecological status. The hydromorpological structures that have significant impacts on the visual characteristics are considered as riparian vegetation, cross-sectional shape, and the artificial structures. Results of this study can help guide the stream restoration of the damaged stream to improving ecological function and positive landscape.

The magic square is one of the number arrangements and the sums of each row, column, and diagonal are all equal. The meaning of "方" is "Square". If we don't consider the condition of 'square' then is it possible any number arrangement? There are many special number arrangements such as "magic five number circle(緊五圖)", "magic six number circle(聚六圖)", "magic eight number circle(聚八圖)", "magic nine number circle(攢九圖)", "magic eight camp circle(八陣圖)", "magic nine camp circle(連環圖)" in the ancient Chinese mathematics books such as "楊輝算法", "算法統宗". Also, there is a very special and beautiful number arrangement Jisuguimoondo(地數龜文圖) in the mathematics book "Goosuryak(九數略)" written by Choi suk jung(崔錫鼎) in the Joseon Dynasty. In this study, we introduce a various number arrangements and their properties.

The purpose of this study is to present basic data that can express beautiful silhouette by studying visual effect that depend on waist position of basic pants and the change of round belt width and analyzing the study of visual effect of the pattern design as well as the effect of design component. The stimuli are 21 samples: 7 variations of the location of the waistline and 3 variations of the width of the belt. The data has been obtained from 35 fashion design majors. The data has analyzed by frequency, factor analysis, anova, scheffe's test and the MCA method. The visual effects by the location of waistline and the width of belt are composed of 3 factors : horizontal direction factor, vertical direction factor and flexuosity factor. In these factors, horizontal factor is estimated by most important factor. Visual effect is positive when belt width widens as the location of waist line goes down to position of low belt. And in case the location of waist line is in the position of natural waist belt and low rise belt, belt of 3.2cm width is effective visually. The interaction effects between the location of the waistline and the width of the belt have significant differences in all factors. Factor that appears in visual effect of basic pants can be evaluated differently according to pattern of pants and characteristic of body shape. So we may receive better visual assessment if we consider the location of waist belt and width of belt in side of visual effect and image, when we produce pants giving variety to crotch depth.

This study aims to establish the schematic plan for renewing canopied landscape of Garosoo-gil of Chongju and to review to conserving the resources of streetscape of the Garosoo-gil. The study reinterpreted the Garosoo-gil of tree canopied road, representing meanings and functions of the road with main traffics as well as the image of Chongju city achieved buffer zone for open spaces to city green network. The study relied on the present composition, the status of road trees and streetscapes; additionally, the present streets cape was performed with examinations of those factors, the composition of roadscape, the change of structure according to visitor's movement and road construction condition, which was composed with focused places on concerning the loss and demolition of trees by Garosoo-gil. According to the result, the streetscape could be prospected to decreasing the number of trees and changing the sceneries of streetscape. As a result, the dominant canopied streetscape was found three areas. The analysis could help to find a way to establish the schematic plan for making the streets cape be symbolized and take place identified and better festival events with greens. The study could not only suggest the place of the streetscape to be divided into conservation area and protection area, for tree canopy but also establish alternatives for making the Garosoo-gil be a beautiful street park and enduring for a better landscape of main entrance road.

This thesis is to argue what is the meaning of the expression of cherry blossoms appearing in "Genjimonogatari(源氏物語)" in relation with the structure of Monogatari after checking each example. First we reviewed some examples of the works before "Genjimonogatari", and clarified that cherry blossoms were used as metaphorical expressions of a beautiful woman in waka(和歌), and that at the same time cherry blossoms functioned as the symbol of futility, anxiety together with beauty. Especially in "Kokinshu(古今集)" we identified that there increased the examples where the combination of the expression as falling cherry blossoms, and fog and cherry blossoms was done. In "Genjimonogatari" we examined the examples of cherry blossoms of Chapter 1, Chapter 2, and clarified that Murasakinoue(紫の上) was a woman with an ideal character in looks and inner personality through the diverse viewpoints of characters. In Monogatari of Kashiwagi(柏木) of Chapter 2, the scene where he peeped Onnasannomiya(女三宮) was composed by the combination of cherry blossoms and fog, and we pointed out that we could feel the anxiety, ominousness of the love of the couple through this scene. And the composition of these scenes was also repeated in Monogatari of Chapter 3, and we discussed through these examples that the figurative expressions of cherry blossoms were used about the object of the love not to be realized. Next, we checked that Yugiri(夕霧) who had observed Kashiwagi's love toward Onnasannomiya gave a figurative expression of Kashiwagi's wife Ochibanomiya(落葉の宮) as cherry blossoms. Although Genji(源氏) realized Onnasannomiya's immaturity, Kashiwagi compared her to "cherry blossoms", and Yoogiri compared the woman whom Kashiwagi recognized as "Ochiba(落葉)" to "cherry blossoms", through which we have read the twisted human relation and ironical structure of Chaper 2. Finally, we checked the examples of cherry blossoms in Ooigimi(大君), Nakanokimi(中君), Ukihune(浮舟) who were Ujijujo's heroines. Ooigimi and Nakanokimi were expressed as cherry blossoms by Kaoru(?) and Nioumiya(?宮) and were disclosed as their ideal women. In contrast, Ukihune had something to do with two men with no such figurative expression, so it was pointed out that the absence of such metaphorical expression clarified that the meaning of her existence was nothing but the meaning as a mesiudo(召人).

The geomorphic properties of potholes at Naerin River, Inje-gun are analyzed to discover the geosites of DMZ geopark in Gangwon-do. The furrow-type potholes along the river flow are mainly found in the P1 and P2 sites. The P3 site can be divided in to the zones where the furrow-type potholes densely distribute and various types of potholes are scattered, while the various types of small potholes are scattered in the P4 site. After measuring the 44 potholes, the potholes with a U-shaped cross-section, similar directivity with river flow and deposited gravels with in them show large values in length, width, depth and slope. Because the P1 and P2 sites are characteristic in the scales and forms of potholes and show beautiful scapes, it can be suggested that they are suitable for the geosite developments.

This study aimed to provide consumer perception and evaluation of natural Cynanchi Atrium Fermented Original Cosmetics for Skin Whitening that can improve skin by using oriental medicinal ingredients. The product was applied three times a day for two weeks by a total of 60 users who agreed to participate in a clinical trial assessing the usability and skin sensitivity to extracts that had already completed component safety testing. This study subjects reported which images were most reminiscent of Korea. They preferred products that bore Korean images because they felt trust and recognized that the quality of the cosmetics was excellent. The responses also showed that many consumers were willing to buy a product, even though it was luxurious, elegant, and expensive. The cognitive evaluation of Original Cosmetics was high and showed that the quality was likely to be good. The usability and CMF(Color, Material, Finishing) evaluation of Original Cosmetics showed good product the product is long-lasting and tightened and moisturized skin naturally. They are think about that this product it has moisturizing effects and good application for use, so it is light and soft to use. And had a whitening effect. It was intended to assist in the development of products that meet consumers' desires and expectations for safe, healthy, and beautiful skin by developing a skin whitening Original Cosmetics prototype that can inhibit the production of melanin and tyrosinase activity safely and effectively.

To protect healthy and beautiful hair, the hair protection effect was tested by adding an aloe extract from the hair solution. The treatment groups were grouped into four categories: Group II (Famma Treatment Only), Group III (Oxidase+aloe), Group IV (Reduce+aloe), and Group V (Oxidase+aloe, Release+aloe). The test hair is collected from women's hair in their 20s, 30s and 40s who have not undergone chemical treatment such as permanent and dying for one year and use 100% aloe stock solution. In order to evaluate hair thickness, cuticles, tensile strength, elongation and formation rate, the experiment environment was 28.9 degrees and 72% humidity. All statistical tests were done at 5% significant level. Cuticle, elongation, and formation rate were significantly improved (P<.05) and cuticle was best in group V, elongation was group III. In conclusion, aloe added to perm treatment were effective in improving cuticle, elongation rate, and formation of hair.

Seal is a tool to prove an individual or group. Guk-Sae and Eo-Bo uses typeface to represent their names or titles, which change from tensile to tensile and have varied from time to time. Although the Korean alphabet currently uses Hangul, it had used Chinese characters before Hun-Min-Jeong-Um was created in 1443. All seals and royal seal before the Korean Seal of State were made in Chinese characters. This thesis analyzes the concept of typography through the royal seal, and the subject of this study is 'Sugang Emperor' which is the only eight-letter version seal of the Joseon Dynasty's various royal seal. Bo-Yeong, which is shown in Bo-Myeon has artistic value with beautiful typeface and proportions, which is worth research. It examines the features of the Korean seal, analyzes and studies the typeface shape and features from the typographic perspective of the "Sugang Emperor Bo-Yeong," or writing.

JC Raulston Arboretum of the North Carolina State University houses 113 species of Korean native landscape woody plants. Styrax japonicus 'Emerald Pagoda'[formerly 'Sohuksan'] is native to Korea, China, and Japan. 'Emerald pagoda' is a special cultivar found by DR. J.C. Raulston during the United States National Arboretum plant collection expedition of the island of Sohuksan at the Western end of the Korea in 1985. Incredible, thick, glossy, large-leafed form of this beautiful white flowering tree found in Korea in 1985. It was probably the most outstanding ornamental plant to come from the expedition after his trip to Sohuksan and Chindo in the harsh perilous islands of the coast of Korea. He brought this one back in his suitcase. Viburnum awabuki 'Chindo' is and evergreen broadleaf shrub. It is for screening and as fire resistant trees in the southern region of Korea, because of its compact, leathery leaves. 'Chindo' was discovered on the island of Chindo by the U.S. National arboretum plant exploration team including J.C. Raulston during its 1985 Korean trip. Cuttings were taken from this plant, and liners were produced over subsequent years. These liners are now being evaluated for hardiness and fruit production throughout the Southeast of USA.
