  • This study investigaties magnetic circuit design of the Line-Start Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (LSPM) for advanced reluctance torque in steady state. Back-emf and d-/q-axial inductance is analyzed by using 2 dimensional Finite Element Method (FEM). These results are reflected characteristic analysis of LSPM.

  • The rotor thermal analysis consists of determining the heat load to the rotor, sizing the cryogenic system, and ensuring that the HTS rotor will operate at the design goal of 30 K. The heat load to the rotor is due to heat conduction through the torque tubes, current leads, instrumentation. and radiation from the thermal shield and the end caps. Coil operating temperature is determined from the coil losses and the heat transport to the coolant. An FEM thermal conductivity model is developed to allow calculation of heat transport in HTS field coil according to the heat exchanger shape and coolant feeding method. The losses determine the size of the cryocooler.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the purchase behavior and the level of satisfaction for Japanese tourists buying cultural-fashion product in Korea. Subjects were selected through convenient sampling technique in Seoul. A self-administered questionnaire was developed in Japanese by translation and back-translation method. Finally, 288 questionnaire out of 400 were used for data analysis. For the purpose of achieving high value-added fashion products, the 4P marketing strategies targeting Japanese tourists were discussed based on the results.

  • Off-line programming systems are widely spread in assembly lines of minute electronic products to huge offshore structures. Any OLP system has to be calibrated before the on-line robot tasks are performed because there are inherent differences between the CAD model on OLP and the real robot workspace. This paper uses simple geometric expressions to propose a calibration method applicable to an OLP for SCARA robots. A positioning task on the two-dimensional horizontal surface was used in the error analysis of a SCARA robot and the anaysis shows that the inaccuracy results from the two error sources non-zero offset angles of two rotational joints at the zero return and differences in link lengths. Pen marks on a sheet of plotting paper are used to determine the accurate data on the joint centers and link dimensions. The calculated offset angles and link lengths are fed back to the OLP for the calibration of the CAD model of the robot and task environments.

  • A non linear QSAR model was constructed on a series of 57 xanthone and curcuminoide derivatives as ${\alpha}$-glucosidase inhibitors by back-propagation neural network method. The neural network architecture was optimized to obtain a three-layer neural network, composed of five descriptors, nine hidden neurons and one output neuron. A good predictive determination coefficient was obtained (${R^2}_{Pset}$ = 86.7%), the statistical results being better than those obtained with the same data set using a multiple regression analysis (MLR). As in the MLR model, the descriptor MATS7v weighted by Van der Waals volume was found as the most important independent variable on the ${\alpha}$-glucosidase inhibitory.

  • In this paper, a synchronous permanent magnet planar motor (SPMPM) with new permanent magnet array is proposed and the magnetic field distribution is obtained analytically by using magnetic scalar potential. Compared to those of Asakawa, Chitayat and experimental data, the superiority and feasibility of the novel magnet array are verified. The characteristics of the synchronous permanent magnet planar motor with this novel magnet array such as inductance, back-EMF, and force are calculated by analytical method.

  • The rotational loss is one of the most important problems for the practical use of the high power Flywheel Energy Storage System (FESS). This rotational loss is divided as the mechanical loss by windage and bearing and iron loss by hysteresis loop and eddy current in the part of the magnetic field. So, In this paper, a double-sided PMSM/G without the iron loss is designed by analytical method of the magnetic field and estimation of the back-EMF constant represented as the design parameter. This design model consists of the double-sided PM rotor with Halbach magnetized any and coreless 3-phase winding stator. The results show that the double-sided PMSM/G without iron loss can be applicable to the high power FESS.

  • The purpose of this study was to compare fur clothing preferences of Korean and Russian women, and then to provide a beneficial data to Koran fur manufacturers who is working in Korea and advancing into Russia. 346 subjects were gather in Seoul and Moscow through convenience sampling method, and frequency, percentage, mean, x²-test, t-test were conducted for data analysis. The results were as follows: 1. Korean and Russian women's fur clothing buying motives, information sources, important factors on purchasing, purchasing, influences ere generally examined. 2. Russian women's fur clothing possession rate as well as fur clothing purchasing intention in the future were higher than Korean women's. 3. Fur clothing item, material, color, style, length which Korean and Russian women prefer were compared. 4. In case of shilhouette, Russia women showed high preference on swinger shilhouette, relatively Korean women preferred H-line. 5. In case of collar design, Russian women showed high preference on stand collar, relatively Korean women preferred notch collar or shawl collar. 6. In case of sleeve design, Russian women showed high preference on turn back cuffs sleeve, relatively Korean women preferred push-up sleeve.

  • In this paper, it Is presented a new scheme of adaptive-neuro control system to implement real-time control of robot manipulator. Unlike the well-established theory for the adaptive control of linear systems, there exists relatively little general theory for the adaptive control of nonlinear systems. Adaptive control technique is essential for providing a stable and robust performance for application of robot control. The proposed neuro control algorithm is one of learning a model based error back-propagation scheme using Lyapunov stability analysis method. Through simulation, the proposed adaptive-negro control scheme is proved to be a efficient control technique for real-time control of robot system using DSPs.
