Typicality Evaluation of Attribution Structure Reflected in Design Representation (디자인 표상에 반영된 속성 구조의 전형성 평가)

  • A design representation is reflected in the typicality of branch representation as a syntagm in combination with design factors. And the design factors form up paradigm as an attributive category which is reflected object and value of branch representations, and they are consisted of selection and combination in representative process. Selection and combination of the design attributive category also reflect the representation consciousness of operating in representative process, and they imply a cognizance about object and value of the representation. Therefore, branch representation appears an attributive structure which is required of a given field by means of the representative object and value. This is made up of the divided differentiation according to a combined mode. This study is to investigate the fact verification between typicality of attributive structure and each divided differentiation to measure consideration degree of attributive category which is consisted in the design representation. The attributive structure of representation which is affected the industrial design, the visual communication design, and the environmental design fields identifies to take the typical differentiation by means of evaluations and results of this study.

Study on the Attributive Channel Theory by the Pharmacodynamic Research of I-131 labelled Curcumin (I-131 표지 Curcumin의 약동력학적 분석을 통한 귀경(歸經)연구)

  • Objectives : This study was to verify the Attributive Channel theory of herbal medicine. Methods : [13lI]iodocurcumin was synthesized, separated, and refined from curcumin, the major component of Curcuma species, followed by observing the biodistribution in an organism. Especially, from the fact that curcumin has shown to possess potent anti-carcinogenic properties, the biodistribution in the carcinogenesis organism was analyzed. Result : Iodocurcumin 23mg was obtained through column chromatography after a reaction with 50mg of Curcumin and ICl. The nominal yield of [13lI]iodocurcumin synthesis was 35% when checked with radioactive layer of chromatography. [13lI]iodocurcumin was most largely distributed in the stomach of a BALB/c mouse and a C57BL/6 mouse transplanted with Lewis lung carcinoma cell. Conclusion : The fact that [13lI]iodocurcumin was most largely distributed in the stomach was related with the Attributive Channel theory. And there was no significant finding related to tumor cells.

Study on the Attributive Channel Theory of Herbal Medicine by the Pharmacodynamic Research of 1-131 Labelled Hesperetin (Hesperetin의 I-131 표지 및 생체(生體) 분포(分布) 분석(分析)을 통한 귀경(歸經) 연구)

  • Objectives : This study was to verify the Attributive Channel theory of herbal medicine. Methods : [$^{131}I$]iodohesperetin was synthesized, separated, and refined from hesperetin, the major component of Citrus species, followed by observing the biodistribution in an organism of C57 BL/6 mice with and without Lewis Lung Carcinoma. Results : Iodohesperetin 27.5 mg was obtained through column cliromatography after a reaction with 50 mg of Hesperitin and 8 mg of Nal. The radiochemical yield of [$^{131}I$]iodohesperetin synthesis was 25 % when checked with Radio TLC chromatography. [131I]iodohesperetin was most largely distributed in the stomach, lung and liver of C57BL/6 mouse. The highest %ID/g in stomach was 40 min, in lung and liver was 20 min after injection. The % ID/g of tumor tissue was comparable with that of blood. Conclusions : The fact that [$^{131}I$]iodocurcumin was most largely distributed in the stomach, lung and liver was related with the Attributive Channel theory. And there was no significant finding related to tumor cells.

Analytic Comparisons of Shipbuilding Competitiveness between China and Korea

  • Purpose - This research empirically proves that global shipbuilding industry leadership has moved to China from Korea. Design/Methodology - Competitiveness is measured by AHP for the weights of comprehensive competitiveness, which is the output mixture of three attributive factors: shipbuilding technology, shipbuilding contract price, and export credit. Findings - China is far ahead of Korea for standard vessels such as bulkers and containerships with competitiveness weights of 0.762 and 0.612, respectively, against 0.238 and 0.388 of Korea. Korea is maintaining its competitiveness only in LNG carriers (174k CBM) with a competitiveness weight 0.621. China and Korea have similar competitiveness for chemical carriers, complex vessels with a small hull size. The sources of Chinese competitiveness are shipbuilding contract price and export credit. With the majority share of standard vessel types in the world fleet, China will hold a bigger market share than Korea in the global shipbuilding industry in the forthcoming years. Implications - The swing factors of market power are shipbuilding technology and contract price. If China fails to further develop shipbuilding technology for shipowners worried about the reliability of the Chinese-built vessels, shipowners may swing back to Korea. The rising Chinese labor cost will expedite this swing in the forthcoming competition. Originality/value - To the best of the author's knowledge, this is the first paper that quantitatively examines the competitiveness of shipbuilding between China and Korea by comparing attributive factors for competitiveness.

  • Selecting a suitable place is to determine the attributive conditions and qualified areas for the aim as factors and is to be fulfilled systematically for selecting the area which satisfies all these. This research tries to achieve a rational suitability analysis of residential development using the GIS modeling method and the hierarchical analysis process. A spatial and attributive analysis has been systematized for selecting a suitable place for the study and GIS analysis model has been used for the effective conclusion drawing for different levels. As a next step, a quantitative and qualitative evaluation index was created through complex consideration of the criteria and decision factors of the location selection, and weights were added depending on the relative importance of these factors. In particular, 3D terrain model simulation method has been used in order to reflect the aesthetic factors of the scenery which is an element of the subjective evaluation factors and considered qualitative and subjective evaluation factors which were not considered for the existing AHP technique. After the research, a location that satisfies complex requirements was found rapidly and accurately through the GIS model and hierarchical analysis.

A Study on the Excavated 『Liu Shi Bing Fang』 from the Lao Guan Shan Cemetery - focussed on Qi, Blood, and Attributive Channel Theory of Herbal Medicine - (노관산 한대 분묘 출토 의서 『육십병방(六十病方)』에 관한 고찰 - 기(氣), 혈(血), 본초 귀경(歸經)을 중심으로 -)

  • Objectives : To determine the level of medicine in the Earlier Han period through 『Liushi Bing Fang』. Methods : Original texts were collected from previously published studies on 『Liushi Bing Fang』 and books to reconstruct the text of 『Liushi Bing Fang』. Results & Conclusions : 151 tablets out of the entire 213, a total of 4,084 characters out of the entire 9,000 were collected. This amounts to about 45% of the entire 『Liushi Bing Fang』. Based on this finding, we could summarize the following. First, the concept of Qi is used in the context of illness, indicating the usage of Qi as a medical concept to be much earlier than previously known, as it appears in a herbal treatment text. Second, on Blood, similarly to 『Wushier Bing Fang』 and 『Wuwei Handai Yijian』, it refers to the physical blood as well as name of disease. Moreover, the concept of stagnated blood is mentioned as 'neiyu(內瘀)' in 『Liushi Bing Fang』, meaning that the doctors of the time held this concept and also had the medicinal knowledge to treat this condition. Third, within 『Liushi Bing Fang』, there are contents on the body parts each medicinal mainly treats. This indicates to the understanding that not only were they at the level to connect each medicinals to its mainly applicable disease, but they were able to connect the herbal medicinals to the inner constructions of the body. Based on these findings, the first text to provide the base to the attributive channel theory of herbal medicinals, where each medicinal's properties and effects are connected to the Zangfu and body parts, needs to be newly acknowledged as 『Liushi Bing Fang』 instead of 『Shennongbencaojing』 as previously known.

Estimating the Economic Value of Function for Public Benefits on Practice of Organic Farming - Using Choice Experiments (유기농업의 공익기능에 대한 경제적 가치 평가 -실험선택법을 적용하여-)

  • The objective of this paper is to apply choice experiment methods to estimate non-market value of organic farming and its policy implication. A preliminary survey shows that the attributes of organic farming are reduce environmental pollution, bio-diversity improvements, cultural diversity improvements and maintain local community, reduce green-house gas emissions, energy saving, landscape improvements and tax for organic farming improvement policy. Questionnaire was eight different choice sets presented to each respondent. Implicit values of the attributive levels of organic farming have been calculated into tax money costs per house. This paper compared the six feasible scenarios in terms of willingness to pay per year. This study is expected to contribute to government's organic farming policies and quantitative information related to practice of organic farming.

A Study of Classifying Single-medicine Prescriptions Mentioned in Pediatric Chapter in Dong-eui-bo-gam (동의보감(東醫寶鑑) 소아문(小兒門)에 기재된 단방(單方)에 대한 고찰)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to find a way to apply current oriental pediatrics treatment guidelines based on a pediatric herb chapter in Dong-eui-bo-gam. Methods: We classified herbs based on the four properties, five flavors, attributive channel, a dosage form of the medicine, diagnosis, toxicity and character. Results & Conclusions: The result of this study is that there were lots of things that we have to learn - characteristics of common herbs in pediatrics and pediatric diseases and pathology. From this study, we also learn about changes of pediatric physiology and pathology. More related studies can be helpful for updating the current oriental pediatric guidelines.

  • Objectives The purpose of this study is to find a way to apply current oriental pediatrics treatment guidelines based on a pediatric chapter in DongEuiBoGam. Methods I learned pediatrics prescription formula, indications of drugs, dosage regimen from DongEuiBoGam, and I classified herbs that can be used for pediatrics prescriptions based on their types, effects, tempers, flavors, toxicities, and attributive channels. Results & Conclusions I learned similarities among pediatrics prescription regimens and the herbs commonly used in pediatrics. Also, I found out physiological and pathological characteristics in pediatrics. I expect that this study would be helpful for current oriental pediatric treatments.

Development of AHP-MAUT Hybrid Model to Enhance Effectiveness of Decision Support System (의사결정지원시스템 AHP의 편의성 개선을 위한 하이브리드 모형의 개발)

  • The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) converts people's judgment criteria into objective numerical values using pairwise comparisons. However, the need for an excessive number of pairwise comparisons poses a problem. To mitigate this issue, most existing studies have utilized the process separation approach. The method of process separation devised in this study is a "separation and integration approach," where 1) the standard AHP process is used for evaluating judgment criteria, and 2) the Multi-Attributive Utility Technique (MAUT) is applied for comparing alternatives. This AHP-MAUT Hybrid model was applied to a real analysis case, specifically analyzing the transportation choices of commuters between Bundang and Gangnam Station in Gyeonggi Province. The results showed that the computational process was reduced by 42.03% when applying the Hybrid model compared to using the AHP model alone. Furthermore, the choice results of residents using the Hybrid model were compared with those using the standard AHP. The consistency between the two models' choices was 82.1%, indicating a significant level of consistency. In conclusion, this study contributes by presenting a simpler, more convenient, yet equally effective Hybrid model as a new decision-support system alternative to AHP.
