The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between demographic characteristics, self - esteem, and attachment instability (attachment anxiety, attachment avoidance) in the college students' SNS addiction tendency. To investigate the influencing factors on SNS addiction tendency of college students, we surveyed 330 college students at universities in the metropolitan area through offline and online questionnaires, and analyzed 271 valid ones. Frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, variance analysis, Pearson correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were performed. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, 87.4% of college students used SNS, and the most used SNS was 'Facebook (82.3%)'. The most frequent use of SNS per day was 'over 1 hour ~ less than 2 hours (24.7%)'. Second, women had a significantly higher SNS addiction tendency than men. Third, self-esteem and SNS addiction tendency showed significant negative correlation. Fourth, attachment anxiety and attachment avoidance were positively correlated with SNS addiction tendency. Fifth, the self-esteem of college students affects negatively on the SNS addiction tendency and only the attachment anxiety among attachment instability affects the addiction tendency. Finally, we discussed the risk of SNS addiction according to the characteristics of university students.

We carried out correlation analysis to see the relationship between perceived parental attachment, self-differentiation and the adjustment to college life. Also, we carried out stepwise multiple regression to predict the most influential variable in college life. Results of this study were as follows. First, perceived parental attachment, and self-differentiation have a meaningful positive relationship with college life. Second, attachment anxiety, attachment avoidance, family projection, and cognitive and emotional functioning have more effects on the adjustment to college. Especially attachment avoidance affects college life more than others. These results show the importance of a wide variety of policy research to develope peer support program and counseling for a better school life on schools, classes, counseling centers.
The current study was conducted to examine the mediating effect of mentalization and emotion dysregulation in the relationship between adult attachment and depression. For that purpose, 216 adults nationwide were surveyed to measure adult attachment, mentalization, emotion dysregulation, depression. Data were analyzed using SPSS 23.0 and PROCESS Macro. The results of the study are as follows. First, all the variables had significant correlations. Second, the mediating effect of mentalization in the relationship between adult attachment and depression was not significant, but the mediating effect of emotion dysregulation was significant. Third, the dual mediating effect of mentalization and emotion dysregulation was significant. The dual mediating effects in attachment anxiety and attachment avoidance are significant. Finally, the implications and limitations of the study were discussed.
The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between mother's self-reported adult attachment, anxiety, depression, and parenting stress and the rearing of preschoolers. Based on a sample of 96 young mothers, this study demonstrated the association between a mother's self-report of attachment avoidance and attachment anxiety, anxiety, depression, and parenting stress. And also, the result showed that the greatest portion of attachment classification answered by mothers was secure attachment, and the portion of preoccupied and dismissing attachment was the same. It is also shown that mother's anxiety was different depending on adult attachment classifications.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine the parallel dual mediating effects of positive and negative affects in the relationship between adult attachment and self-compassion of teachers in the early childhood education and care centers. Methods: Two hundred and six teachers participated in the survey who were recruited from kindergarten and child care centers in Seoul and five provinces in South Korea. The data were analyzed by means of frequency, percentages, Cronbach's reliability coefficient and Pearson's correlation using SPSS 25.0 and model 4 provided in The PROCESS macro for SPSS 3.4 version. Results: First, the teachers' degrees of anxiety and avoidance in their adult attachment were below the median scores. Those of positive and negative affects, and their self-compassion were close to the median scores. Second, there were parallel dual mediation effects of positive and negative affects between anxious attachment and self-compassion of teachers. Meanwhile, only positive affect had a mediating effect in the path of teachers' avoidant attachment and self-compassion. Conclusion/Implications: This study confirmed that it is important to raise positive affect by lowering each level of anxiety and avoidance in their attachment for teachers in order to improve their self-compassion. It implied the need to provide support for attachment stability enhancement and to pay attention to improve their self-compassion.
This study aims to study the impact of pet attachment on subjective well-being, focusing on individuals who live with pets. In addition, it is to recognize that their basic psychological requirement mediates between pet attachment and subjective well-being. For this purpose, a survey was performed on 358 adults living with pets nationwide. The final data of 319 people were evaluated after excluding invalid information. Dependent on the theoretical approach of the attachment theory, the human-pet relationship was examined by dividing it into two orthogonal dimensions pet attachment prevention and pet attachment anxiety(Zilcha-Mano et al., 2011). The mediating effects were investigated as an in-depth mechanism that mediates between pet attachment and subjective well-being, the mediating effects were examined, in terms of the three basic psychological needs of Self-Determination Theory, which are autonomy, competence, and relatedness. As an outcome, first, pet attachment prevention and pet attachment anxiety both revealed a negative correlation with subjective well-being. Second, basic psychological needs, which are autonomy, competence, and relatedness, are mediated between pet attachment and subjective well-being. Autonomy, competence, and relatedness fully mediated the relationship between pet attachment avoidance and subjective well-being. Meanwhile, in the case of pet attachment anxiety, only autonomy among basic psychological needs is fully mediated between pet attachment anxiety and subjective well-being in the case of pet attachment avoidance. This means that pet attachment prevention or pet attachment anxiety correlates with subjective well-being by satisfying basic psychological needs instead of directly affecting personal well-being. Regarding the pet effect, it is meaningful to find an in-depth mechanism that the human-pet relationship has for an adaptive and positive impact on humans.
The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effect of ego-resilience and countertransference management ability in the relationship between counselor's adult attachment and development levels of counselors. For this purpose, 389 counselors who conducted more than 5 times of verbal counseling per case were surveyed for 3 weeks using the online questionnaire function. Data were analyzed using SPSS 21 and AMOS 21, reliability analysis was conducted, and constructed structural equation model(SEM) and to verify validity, fitness, and mediating effects. The results of the analysis are as follows: First, counselor's attachment anxiety and attachment avoidance had indirect effects on the ability to manage countertransference through the medium of ego-resilience(p<.001). Second, counselor's attachment avoidance had an indirect effect on counselor's developmental level through countertransference management ability(p<.05). Third, it was confirmed that counselor's attachment anxiety and attachment avoidance had an effect on counselor's development level through double mediation of ego-resilience and countertransference management ability(p<.001). The significance and limitations of these results and suggestions for follow-up studies were discussed.
Sixty-three children aged 5 and 6 years and their mothers and teachers participated in this study examining the association between attachment and social competence. The quality of attachment was assessed using Separation Anxiety Test developed by Slough and Greenberg. Mothers and teachers completed questionnaires regarding family background and social competence(Iowa Social Competence Scale:Preschool), Consistent with attachment theory and previous research, there were significant relationships between children's attachment quality and their social competence. Attachment scores were positively associated with Social Competence and Leadership scores and negatively with Apprehension and Hypersensitivity scores. In contrast, Avoidance scores were negatively correlated with Social Competence and Leadership scores and positively with Hypersensitivity scores.

Results : First, higher scores on the harm-avoidance scale and lower scores on the self-directedness scale were associated with higher depression scores. Second, higher scores on the harm-avoidance and reward-dependence scale were associated with higher anxiety scores. Lastly, higher scores on the cooperativeness scale were associated with higher maternal-fetal attachment scores. Conclusion : Temperament and character in high-risk pregnant women were associated with the degree of depression, anxiety, maternal-fetal attachment. Based on these findings, it is suggested that examining temperament and character in advance and screening for vulnerability in pregnant women can help to prevent emotional problems for high-risk pregnant women.
