  • We derive the asymptotic relative efficiencies in two special cases of Chaudhuri's estimators for the multivariate one sample problem. And we compare those two when observations are independent and identically distributed from a family of spherically symmetric distributions including normal distributions.

  • In this paper we derived the asymptotic relative efficiency, ARE(ms, rs), of our new score function with respect to the McKean and Sievers scores for the asymmetric error distributions which often occur in practice. We thoroughly explored the asymptotic relative efficiency, ARE(ms, rs), of our score function that provides much improvement over the McKean and Sievers scores for all values of r and s under asymmetric distributions.

  • In this paper we study two vector-valued process capability indices $C_{p}$=($C_{px}$, $C_{py}$ ) and C/aub pm/=( $C_{pmx}$, $C_{pmy}$) considering process capability indices $C_{p}$ and $C_{pm}$ . First, two asymptotic distributions of plug-in estimators $C_{p}$=($C_{px}$, $C_{py}$ ) and $C_{pm}$ =) $C_{pmx}$, $C_{pmy}$) are derived.. With the asymptotic distributions, we propose asymptotic confidence regions for our indices. Next, obtaining the asymptotic distributions of two bootstrap estimators $C_{p}$=($C_{px}$, $C_{py}$ )and $C_{pm}$ =( $C_{pmx}$, $C_{pmy}$) with our bootstrap algorithm, we will provide the consistency of our bootstrap for statistical inference. Also, with the consistency of our bootstrap, we propose bootstrap asymptotic confidence regions for our indices. (no abstract, see full-text)see full-text)e full-text)

  • The main objective of this study is to present a new approach to obtain moment inequalities for the new better than renewal used (NBRU) class of life distributions. In order to achieve our main objective, the moment inequalities for NBRU class of life distribution using the new approach has been derived and then a new test for testing exponentiality against NBRU class based on these inequalities has been constructed. Then we calculate the Pitman asymptotic efficiency for the proposed test using some alternative distributions and comparing it with the other tests. Moreover, we make a comparison between Pittman asymptotic efficiencies (PAE's) and PAE's of some other tests. A simulation study is conducted to calculate the upper critical values and the power estimate of the proposed test for some common alternatives. Finally, we apply the suggested test to some real data.

  • This article is concerned with a class of threshold-asymmetric GARCH models both for stationary case and for non-stationary case. We investigate large sample properties of estimators from QML(quasi-maximum likelihood) and QL(quasilikelihood) methods. Asymptotic distributions are derived and it is interesting to note for non-stationary case that both QML and QL give asymptotic normal distributions.

  • In this paper, testing exponentiality against new better than used in convex average and denote by (NBUCA), or its dual (NWUCA) is investigated through the U-test. The percentiles of these tests are tabulated for samples sizes n = 5(1)40. The power estimates of the test are simulated for some commonly used distributions in reliability. Pitman's asymptotic efficiency of the test is calculated and compared. Data of 40 patients suffering from blood cancer disease (Leukemia) is considered as a practical application of the proposed test in the medical sciences.

  • In this paper we introduced a new score generating function for the rank dispersion function in a multiple linear model. Based on the new score function, we derived the asymptotic relative efficiency, ARE(11, rs), of our score function with respect to the Wilcoxon scores for the generalized F distributions which show very flexible distributions with a variety of shape and tail behaviors. We thoroughly explored the selection of r and s of our new score function that provides improvement over the Wilcoxon scores.

  • In this paper, we investigate the asymptotic distributions of maximum queue length for M/G/1 and GI/M/1 systems which are positive recurrent. It is well knwon that for any positive recurrent queueing systems, the distributions of their maxima linearly normalized do not have non-degenerate limits. We show, however, that by concerning an array of queueing processes limiting behaviors of these maximum queue lengths can be established under certain conditions.

  • A non-parametric procedure is presented for testing exponentially against used better than aged in convex ordering class (UBAC) of life distributions based on u-test. Convergence of the proposed statistic to the normal distribution is proved. Selected critical values are tabulated for sample sizes 5(5)40. The Pitman asymptotic relative efficiency of my proposed test to tests of other classes is studied. An example of 40 patients suffering from blood cancer disease demonstrates practical application of the proposed test.
