Artistic expression in fashion film of Prada (Prada 패션 필름에 나타난 예술적 표현)

  • The purpose of this study was to review and establish the two concepts of art film and artistic expression in Prada fashion films, through a literature review of domestic and international case studies, as a form of luxury branded content, Prada fashion films are considered to artistic film genre. For the study, aesthetic expression in art films as discussed in the previous research was divided into four types. The study method was to review fashion / art films from the founding of YouTube, specially, works that used digital images from Thunder Perfect Mind, which was introduced in Prada in 2005, to Nylon Farm in 2018, stylistic features were searched by film. In addition, for this study, fashion film was analyzed based on the typology of art films. The following conclusions regarding artistic expression were drawn from this study : First, the Prada fashion films represent a transition to advanced art through a conceptual approach. Second, the causal relationships personality psychology can be cited through the disturbed and fragmented narrative lines. Third, the films help people identity Prada's aesthetics by humanizing the luxury brand. Fourth, the films are a feature of serialization.

Artistic Meaning of the Game Experience : Focus on Player's Perspective (플레이어 경험을 통한 게임의 예술성 의미 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify how game players experience games artistically. We organized indicator categories related to artistic experiences in games through play report produced in participatory player workshop. Based on this indicator, we embodied the artistic meaning of game experience by performing semantic network analysis. As a result, we verified that games can offer opportunities for players to reflect on themselves and their lives.

  • The purpose of this study is to create knit ruffles that represent the aesthetic and artistic values of painted works of art that rhythmically express flower petals and add an artistic impression on the knit ruffle designs. This study is based on the artistic life of Georgia O'Keeffe and changes in her artistic background, and the world of paintings. The relevant data was gathered from domestic and foreign references, academic journals, and the internet. The characteristics of Georgia O'Keeffe paintings were examined. Her paintings typically include a series of various motifs, symmetry, balance, and harmony of detailed realistic expressions and abstract elements, repetition, and the principles of contrast and emphasis in shaping. The decoration techniques used on fabrics were applied using the knitting machine which controls the tension to develop a variety of textures, apart from the previous standardized knit textures, through various knitting techniques. A gradation effect was then applied by piece-dyeing the knitted materials in various colors to express asimilarity to the original colors in O'Keeffe's works with delicate color expressions. After the piece-dyeing, the decorative knitted materials were trimmed on a model to re-create the natural curves of flower petals. This study aims to converge works of art with fashion designs to develop various creative knitted fashion and to impart an artistic sense in the fashion design industry.

The Development of Motivation Scale in the Visual Artistic Giftedness of the Elementary School Children (학동기 미술영재성 동기요인 검사도구 개발)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop the instruments which can measure motivation as a component of Visual Artistic Giftedness with in elementary school period. This study prescribed the variable factors of measurement after abstract and classify the characteristics of Visual Artistic Giftedness through literature studies. And it produced instruments those are finally composed of 27 items through the preliminary test. They were evaluated in terms of content validity, construct validity, and reliability by implementing them to 679 elementary school children from the first to sixth grades. Statistical analyses were carried out to verify the validities and reliability. Content validity was found to be satisfactory by experts' evaluation on the test items. Construct validity was also found to be satisfactory through factor analyses which showed the four factors which the identification instruments were intended to measure such as, interest/ attitude/ taste, endurance/ concentration, curiosity/ imagination! sensitiveness, aesthetic. Concurrent validity was also found to be satisfactory with high coeffients of Barron- Welsh which were calculated as .76 in motivation. In conclusion, the instruments about motivation of Visual Artistic Giftedness during elementary school period developed by this study are highly reliable on its reliability and validity.

The Analysis of Korean Formative-Artistic Characteristics in the HanBok Fashion (한복 패션에 나타난 한국적 디자인의 조형적 특징 분석)

  • The purpose of this research was to analyze the Korean Formative-Artistic Characteristics which were expressed by Hanbok designers. In this research, Hanbok style is a combination of two main things: formative-artistic factors of the Korean past, which naturally focuses on the peculiarity of the tradition and the modern aspects of clothing. Hanbok fashion is defined as all products created by Hanbok designers that incorporate traditional design factors, but do not follow it exactly. There are four formative-artistic characteristics of Korean designs in the Hanbok fashion. The first is the practical usage of the form and the second is the application of texture, color and patterns of materials which are synonymous with traditional Korean costumes; the third, by utilizing specific features, such as a the string of Jeogori(jacket), the round line of Jeogori sleeve, quilting, slit of Dofo (coat), the line of goreum and git (collar), the beauty of the Hanbok can be expressed in various ways; finally, the decorations added to the clothing, like embroidery, dying, patchwork, and beaten silver have been used to express Korean beauty in a modern sense. At the conclusion of the research, the study suggests the following recommendations to upgrade the Hanbok designs and the Hanbok industry. The first recommendation is that continuous design research be done for the development and popularity of the brand image; secondly, collaboration with specialists from other areas of fashion would be beneficial; thirdly, it would be a positive development if Hanbok designers studied Western clothing; and fourthly, Hanbok materials should continue to evolve and be developed.

Effects of Hotel Customer's Artistic Experience on Customer Satisfaction and Customer Loyalty (호텔고객의 예술적체험이 고객만족도와 고객충성도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine how hotel customer's artistic experience affect the customer's satisfaction and customer's loyalty to the hotel brand. A total of 237 effective questionnaires for empirical analyses data were obtained from the hotel customers who had the experiences of appreciating on purpose or accidently the artworks displayed inside hotel. Trough the literature review it was suggested that four factors of artistic experience encompassed educational experience, escapist experience, emotional experience, esthetic experience. To test the proposed hypotheses, exploratory factor analyses and hierarchical regression analyses were conducted. The results showed that all four factors influenced customer's satisfaction and loyalty significantly. And artistic experience was confirmed to be mediated by customer's satisfaction on customer's loyalty. Based on the results, the meaningful implications and limitations were discussed.

A Study on Aesthetic Characteristics of Retro-Romantic Fashion (레트로로맨틱 패션의 미적 특성 고찰)

  • The purpose of this study is to grasp the aesthetic characteristics of the retro romantic fashion. As a result of study, three artistic characteristics of the retro romantic fashion were presented. First, retro romantic fashion has an exaggerated formativeness. Retro romantic fashion has overcome the confinement of the present to imitate the splendor and decorative style of the past which results in exaggeration. Exaggerated costume tends to be spaciously bigger and emphasizes one particular part which offers implicated significance for the space between the body and the costume. A new visual fashion is created through this space. Second, retro romantic fashion encompasses gorgeous decorativeness. From an artistic point of view, decorations are part of impulsively formulated art. Artistic effects of such decorations are uniformly confirmed in various artistic states. Therefore, through gorgeous decorations, retro romantic fashion rejects artificiality and lack of sensitivity for new effects of aesthetics through expression of stronger artistic and spiritual desires. Third, retro romantic fashion expresses pluralistic retro. The current society has left the formalities of the modernism for a pluralistic society where openness, diversity, and uniqueness are respected. Such components of the pluralistic society are repetitively used in fashion. Time reflective retro romantic fashion is being recreated by borrowing images rather than replaying the historical contents, with the style, silhouette, and specific items that swayed in the past, being combined with modern materials, techniques, and designs. Literature review were conducted for this study. Literature review on retro romanticism encompassed resources on aesthetics, literature and art, including national and international fashion related literatures.

Investigating Factors Affecting Text, Image, and Video UCC Adoption (텍스트, 이미지, 동영상 UCC 채택에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구)

  • By conceptualizing UCC users' active behavior, this study newly presents two key concepts, 'self-expression' and 'artistic activity' of UCC users. Then, this study suggests a research framework to analyze text, image, and video UCC adoption processes by integrating those concepts with already-built UCC research tradition. Using the framework, we found that individuals who has a hard time expressing themselves in reality are likely to have a favorable attitude toward UCC, and the stronger the faith about the justice of self-expression and its freedom, the more the favorable attitude toward UCC. Furthermore, we confirmed that individuals who are very interested in artistic activity, and individuals who has high self-efficacy to their artistic talent are likely to participates more in UCC production. The role of other factors such as perceived enjoyment, the perception of critical mass of UCC adoption, and subjective norm also were discussed with limitations of this study.

Analysis of the Relationships Between Sasang Typology, Holland's Vocational Typology, and Myers-Brigg's Types Among Undergraduate Students at the College of Oriental Medicine

  • Objectives : The present study investigated the integrative relationships between Sasang typology, Holland's vocational typology, and Myers-Briggs type. Methods : The sample was composed of 83 sophomores at the College of Oriental Medicine, Daegu Hanny University (56 men, 27 women; ages 19 to 39, mean age ${\pm}$S. D. = 24.38 ${\pm}$ 5.28) and was carried out with the QSCC II, Holland inventory, and MBTI. SPSS 12.0 was employed for statistical analyses. Results : The Sasang types of the subjects were as followed: 21 Soyangin (10 men, 11 women) (25.3%), 20 Taeumin (18 men, 2 women) (24.1%), and 42 Soeumin (28 men, 14 women) (50.6%). There were no significant differences in the mean scores of Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, or Conventional scale between the 3 Sasang types, but in the mean scores of Realistic, Investigative, and Artistic scale between the 4 MBTI combinations (Sensing-Thinking, Sensing-Feeling, Intuition-Thinking, and Intuition-Feeling type): F (3, 73) = 3.11, p < .05 in Realistic scale, F (2, 73) = 3.70, p < .05 in Investigative scale, and F (2, 73) = 5.60, p < .01 in Artistic scale. Conclusions : The present study discovered that the first preference for vocational aptitude of undergraduate students at the College of Oriental Medicinewas Investigative and the second preference was Artistic, which fitted Holland's vocational codes as Investigative/Artistic or Investigative/Social scale. The personality traits underlying Sasang typology play an important factor in making career decisions.

A Study on factors Affecting Academic Achievement in a Nursing School (학력에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구)

  • The present study was undertaken to find the factors affecting academic achievement in a nursing school. 172 students were selected for this study and were divided into higher & lower 12 percent. Tools & measures used for this study were the interest test, personality test, test of self-concept, test of adjustment & school achievement. The major findings obtained from this study were as follows : 1. Factors affecting school achievement except intellectuality were thus : 1) Artistic interest, literary interest, scientific interest biological & scientific interest -physical affected the academic achievement . 2) Sociability, reasonability, depression & refractiveness affected the academic achievement. 3) Self criticism, total positive self-score, & personal self - score affected the academic achievement. 4) Adjustment to school, personal economics, health & value Morality affected the academic achievement. 2. Correlation between school achievement & interest, personality, self-concept or adjustment in the higher 81 lower group were thus; 1) There was a significant relationship between academic achievement & the following: artistic interest, scientific interest-biological, scientific interest-physical, out-door interest, refractiveness, sociability, responsibility, depression, self satis faction- score, personal self -score, social self - score, self behavior score, adjustment to school, health & values morality in the higher group. 2) There were no significant factors related with academic achievement in the lower group. 3. Difference or difference in relationship between higher & lower group in the interest, personality, self-concept & adjustment were as follows, : 1) There was a significant difference between higher & lower group in artistic -interest. literary interest, scientific interest-biological , out-door interest, sociability, depression, refractiveness, self criticism, total positive self score, personal self score, adjustment to school, personal economics, health & values morality. 2) There was a significant difference in relationships between higher & lower group in artistic interest, scientific interest, scientific 3) There was a significant difference in relationships between higher 8E lower group in artistic interest, scientific interest -biological, out -door interest , sociability, responsibility, refractiveness, depression, self identity score, self satisfaction score, adjustment to school, health, personality & value morality.
