Non-therapeutic purposes in orthodontics and correction of tooth and jaw surgery for the recognition of some students on research (비 치료목적으로 시술되고 있는 치아교정과 양악수술에 대한 일부 대학생들의 인식도에 관한 연구)

  • Objectives : In this study, the treatment method for some college students, due to the misuse of non-therapeutic molding technique non-therapeutic procedure is applied in orthodontics or jaw surgery and therapeutic purposes, such as to properly recognize and to investigate whether. Methods : In this study used, 4 questions, the questionnaire general characteristics (such as gender, major, whether the treatment experience and purpose) Orthodontic and knowledge about the jaw surgery (Corrective jaw surgery hope and reason, or jaw surgery benefits, side effects, etc.) 6 items, calibration and recognition jaw surgery on seven items 17 items was constructed. Results : Of the perception of the majors of the respondents according to the presence or absence of a non-therapeutic procedure for calibration or jaw surgery the correct way, and the purpose appeared to know roughly majors and all students majoring statistically significant (p<.001).   • The purpose of the study is to explore and understand the product development through the theory of evolution. For the purpose of the study, an evolution mechanism was set up in which the products were applied with. The results showed three distinguishable types of product evolution 'the evolution of functions','the evolution of forms'and 'the evolution of symbols what the products represent'. In order to answer the research questions, , , , the research was carried out in three ways: firstly, some ideas of product evolution were looked closely through existing researches; secondly, the study explored the idea of evolution mechanism being a natural process like an organic system; finally by applying various products with the evolution mechanism, different patterns of product evolution were classified. The results of the study can be summarised as follows: ${\bullet}$ The evolution mechanism in this study can be defined as an 'organic system'that consists of the causes of evolution'(based on the needs and the willingness to have pleasure), 'the point of evolving'(based on a degree of imperfection) and 'the motive of evolution'(based on the readiness to make profit). ${\bullet}$ The evolution mechanism seems to suggest three different patterns in product evolution,'the evolution of functions', 'the evolution of forms' and 'the evolution of symbols'

A Study on the Consciousness of Exhibition Administrator of National Museums (국공립 박물관 전시 행정담당자의 의식 연구)

  • An exhibition administrator, one who works in the exhibition space of museums and exhibition halls, has carried on various tasks in order to improve the exhibition standard and viewer's satisfaction. Although exhibition administrators have a variety of direct perceptions regarding an exhibition in the actual on-site space, a study on their consciousness was absent. Thus, this study was to comprehend the awareness of how the consciousness of exhibition administrators, who directly understand the various matters regarding the exhibition on-site, was structured and to investigate the difference between the consciousness of exhibition viewers and designers. For the study, Q-Methodology, which can scientifically manage the consciousness such as awareness and the acquired attitudes through individual experiences from a specific group, was applied. The classification of 33 Q-methodology research questions was carried out with 18 exhibition administrators, who are working at either national or public museums and exhibition halls in Korea, and the Principal Component Analysis (PCA) using the QUANL PC program was performed. The results of the analysis provided the following 4 types: 'viewer attraction and exhibition method oriented', 'exhibition standard oriented', 'public relations oriented' and 'the public and government's interest oriented'. Each type showed significant characteristics. Additionally, n showed that 'exhibition standard oriented' was the common type after comparing the type of consciousness among the 3 groups of people, such as an exhibition administrator, an exhibition designer, and a viewer. It indicated that the types of 'public relations oriented' and 'the public and government's interest oriented' from the consciousness category for the exhibition administrator were the most independent type, not being found in any of the other groups. And the Significant correlation between the exhibition viewers and designers was identified after examining the Pearson's correlation among the 3 groups.

A Study on the Structural Equation Model for Students' Satisfaction in the Blended Leaning Environment (블랜디드 러닝 환경에서 수업만족 영향요인의 구조적 모델 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore factors that affected the satisfaction of students' experiences in an education course, with the educational method and educational technology designed with a blended learning strategy. Blended learning is currently recognized as a good solution for the problems posed by both online and face-to-face learning, because it has features like flexibility and accessibility by using tools supporting both individualization and socialization. This study is one case that illustrates how blended learning can be applied at the university level. Subjects were 56 students who had participated in the class and responded to the survey questions. The gathered data were analyzed by using Factor Analysis and the Structural Equation Model. Based on the results of Factor Analysis, data revealed 5 factors: learning motivation, previous experience, ability to use information & technology, capability of self-regulated learning, and learning satisfaction. The results of the Structural Equation Model revealed causal relationships among the aforementioned factors as follows: (a) there was a statistically meaningful causal relationship between "learning motivation" and "capability of self-regulated learning", (b) there was a statistically meaningful casual relationship between "previous experience" and "capability of self-regulated learning", and (c) "capability of self-regulated learning" directly affected "learning satisfaction".

A Study on the Laytime and Demurrage Clauses (LD Clauses) in Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (국제물품매매계약에서 정박기간과 체선료조항(LD Clauses)에 관한 연구 - 영국관습법을 중심으로 -)

  • The fact that one of the parties to the sale contract has had to pay demurrage to the shipowner under LD clauses in the charterparty does not of itself mean that he can recover that loss from his sale counter party under the sale contract: the route to such recovery is through express clauses in the sale contract itself. LD clauses in a sale contract stand free and independent of their counterparts in the relevant charterparty. LD clauses in a sale contract should be construed and applied as clauses in sale contracts, not as adjuncts to charterparties. Their interpretation should therefore be coloured not by decisions on laytime and demurrage in charterparties, but by their relationship to the contractual duties of CIF and FOB sellers and buyers. The results discussed here have implications for the drafting of LD clauses in sale contracts. If unwelcome surprises are to be avoided, it seems to advisable to start from the principle: what exactly do traders want or need in LD clauses. They need a clause which covers them against charterparty losses where those losses are the result of dealy caused by the counterparty to the sale contract. The parties to the sale contracts are well advised to prepare LD clauses concentrating on that purpose and bearing in mind the followiing questions. First, should the loading and discharge code in the sale contract appear in traders' or trade associations' standard terms and conditions or should they be left to ad hoc negotiation in contract sheets? Second, should that code be as complete as possible, covering loading or discharge periods or rates, demurrage and despatch, or is it enough for only some of those matters to be covered explicitly, leaving other matters to be governed" as per charterparty"? Third, does the introduction or incorporation of a stipulation for the giving of a notice of readiness make the start of laytime more or less predictable as between seller and buyer? Finally should a loading and discharge code in a sale contract actully be called a "laytime and demmurrage clauses"?

  • This study aims to apply the logic model in order to evaluate outcomes of revitalization projects of rural centers as a part of the regional capacity strengthening in Yeongwol-gun. According to the study results, first of all, it was unclear to answer for questions what, how and why to lead the project, when examining logical associations among program inputs, activities, outputs and outcomes. As an alternative method, the logic model has been applied, and this in turn led to clarify the goals, inputs, contents, outputs, outcomes as well as overall outcome goals and purpose of the current projects. Second of all, the initial, intermediate and long term outcome goals of the current project were indistinctly specified, and moreover, their evaluation methods were also unclear. By applying the logic model to the current regional capacity strengthening project, it was able to figure the distinction between program outputs and outcomes, and specify initial, intermediate and long term target goals as well as their evaluation tools. It is therefore to conclude that the logic model has a possibility to apply to a project evaluation, especially in the sense that this method considers efficiency, effectiveness and accountability of each project.

  • This study applied Q methodology to consumers who have experience using food trucks to understand subjective perception of food truck customers. The purpose of this study is to characterize the perceptual structure of food truck customers, to describe characteristics of the types and to suggest some implications. The results of the type analysis are as follows. The first type (N = 10): Food truck zone accessibility preferred type, the second type (N = 8): Complex entertainment experience type, the third type (N = 9) = 3): Fast food preference type. Future research on food trucks, restaurants, and tourism will be based on a variety of literature and empirical studies, and will be revised and supplemented with more detailed Q methodological questions and analytical techniques to analyze the various opinions of respondents in a more concrete and objective manner.

Comparison of Validity of Food Group Intake by Food Frequency Questionnaire Between Pre- and Post-adjustment Estimates Derived from 2-day 24-hour Recalls in Combination with the Probability of Consumption

  • Validation of a food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) utilising a short-term measurement method is challenging when the reference method does not accurately reflect the usual food intake. In addition, food group intake that is not consumed on daily basis is more critical when episodically consumed foods are related and compared. To overcome these challenges, several statistical approaches have been developed to determine usual food intake distributions. The Multiple Source Method (MSM) can calculate the usual food intake by combining the frequency questions of an FFQ with the short-term food intake amount data. In this study, we applied the MSM to estimate the usual food group intake and evaluate the validity of an FFQ with a group of 333 Korean children (aged 3-6 y) who completed two 24-hour recalls (24HR) and one FFQ in 2010. After adjusting the data using the MSM procedure, the true rate of non-consumption for all food groups was less than 1% except for the beans group. The median Spearman correlation coefficients against FFQ of the mean of 2-d 24HRs data and the MSM-adjusted data were 0.20 (range: 0.11 to 0.40) and 0.35 (range: 0.14 to 0.60), respectively. The weighted kappa values against FFQ ranged from 0.08 to 0.25 for the mean of 2-d 24HRs data and from 0.10 to 0.41 for the MSM-adjusted data. For most food groups, the MSM-adjusted data showed relatively stronger correlations against FFQ than raw 2-d 24HRs data, from 0.03 (beverages) to 0.34 (mushrooms). The results of this study indicated that the application of the MSM, which was a better estimate of the usual intake, could be worth considering in FFQ validation studies among Korean children.

Subjectivity Study for Michelin Guide Restaurant Customers: Applying the Q Methodology (미쉐린 가이드 레스토랑 이용고객에 대한 주관성 연구: Q방법론 적용)

  • This study applied Q methodology to graduate students of food service management department in Seoul to grasp subjective perception of customers using Michelin guide restaurant. Six types of analysis result were obtained. Specifically, the first type (N = 3): Restaurant hygiene-seeking type, the second type (N = 6): Restaurant taste-seeking type, the third type N = 5): Select Restaurant Compare Prices type, 4th type (N = 3): Pursuing taste for restaurant price type, 5th type (N = 2) Restaurant full service select type, and 6th type (N = 3): Restaurant menu configuration Select. In the future, the research on the Michelin guide restaurant will be revised and supplemented with more detailed Q methodological questions and analytical techniques based on many documents and empirical studies, to analyze the various opinions of respondents more concrete and objectively.

Estimation of Household's Willingness to Pay for Ground Water Pollution Improvement (지하수오염 개선에 대한 지불의사액 추정)

  • This paper attempts to examine households' willingness to pay (WTP) for ground water pollution improvement which can be used in cost-benefit analysis on the project for developing the soil pollution control technique. We applied a contingent valuation (CV) method to obtain at least a preliminary evaluation of the WTP. The CV survey was rigorously designed to comply with the guidelines for best-practiced CV studies. We surveyed a randomly selected sample of 500 households in Seoul metropolitan area and asked respondents questions in person-to-person interviews about how they would be willing to pay for the program. Respondents overall accepted the contingent market and were willing to contribute a significant amount (1,195 to 1,552 won), on average, per household per year. The aggregate value of the project for developing the soil pollution control technique amounts to approximately 20.3 billion won per year. The household values can be the benefits that ensue from the project and compared with the costs of the program to determine whether the project is economically desirable.
