In this paper, we introduce the new concept of 𝜓_s-rational type contractive mapping in the sense of 𝑏-metric spaces. Also, we obtain some fixed point results for these contractive mappings in complete b-metric spaces. Our main results generalize, extend and improve the corresponding results on the topics given in the literature. Finally, we also give some examples to illustrate our main results.

In recent times control functions have been used in several problems of metric fixed point theory. Also weak inequalities have been considered in a number of works on fixed points in metric spaces. Here we have incorporated a control function in certain weak inequalities. We have established two fixed point theorems for mapping satisfying such inequalities. Our results are supported by examples.

To put the binocular 3-D images system into practical use, it is required to investigate the relationship between the system and men and to make ergonomic evaluation of the system. In this study, we perform a comparative analysis of the changes in the accommodation and pupil functions before and afer observing binocular 3-D images a sthe visual distance varies. From the experiment, we obtained the following results: (1) The discordance in the distance informatioons on the accommodation and pupil functions when obwerving 3-D images is compensated by the miosis and altering the focal depth. (2) From the consideration of the effect of the visual distance condition on the visual functions, it is thoughth that the visual functions are stabilized at the dark focus in the sense that the changes in the tension and relazation afer observing the 3-D images are minimized.

Early-life environmental factors can have persistent effects on physiological functions by altering developmental procedures in various organisms. Recent experimental and epidemiological studies now further support the idea that developmental programming is also present in mammals, including humans, influencing long-term health. Although the mechanism of programming is still largely under investigation, the role of endocrine glucocorticoids in developmental programming is gaining interest. Studies found that perinatal glucocorticoids have a persistent effect on multiple functions of the body, including metabolic, behavioral, and immune functions, in adulthood. Several mechanisms have been proposed to play a role in long-term programming. In this review, recent findings on this topic are summarized and the potential biological rationale behind this phenomenon is discussed.

In this paper, we establish coupled fixed point theorems for mixed monotone mappings satisfying nonlinear contraction involving a pair of altering distance functions in ordered G-metric spaces. Via presented theorems we extend and generalize the results of Harjani et al. [J. Harjani, B. L$\acute{o}$pez and K. Sadarangani, Fixed point theorems for mixed monotone operators and applications to integral equations, Nonlinear Anal. 74 (2011) 1749-1760] and Choudhury and Maity [B.S. Choudhury and P. The purpose of this paper is to introduce a class of contractive pairs of mappings satisfying a Zamfirescu-type inequality, but controlled with altering distance functions and with parameters satisfying the so-called Geraghty condition in the framework of b-metric spaces. For this class of mappings we prove the existence of points of coincidence, the convergence and stability of the Jungck, Jungck-Mann and Jungck-Ishikawa iterative processes and the existence and uniqueness of its common fixed points.

Cosmetics have mild activity on the human body, and intended to be used for cleaning, beautifying the human body, and also keeping healthy skin or hair, promoting attractiveness or altering the appearance. Functional cosmetics, in other words cosmeceuticals, are restricted for following functions: 1) Whiten the skin tone by preventing deposition of melanin pigmentation or lightening of the color of melanin of skin, 2) alleviate or improve wrinkles of the skin, and 3) protect the skin from the ultra violet rays from the sun. According to the functions of the functional cosmetics, skin whitening products, anti-wrinkle products, and suntan & sunscreen products are manufactured. In order to manufacture and import the functional cosmetics in Korea, the approval process in KFDA is necessary. The review process in KFDA is performed based on The Korea Food and Drug Administration Notification 2007-44, "The Regulation of Reviewing the Functional Cosmetics" (June 29, 2007). Only after the approval of KFDA, functional cosmetics are allowed to advertise to the consumers for their functionality.

All cells are equipped with intricate signaling networks to meet the energy demands and respond to the nutrient availability in the body. AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) is among the most potent regulators of cellular energy balance. Under ATP -deprived conditions, AMPK phosphorylates substrates and affects various biological processes, such as lipid/glucose metabolism and protein synthesis. These actions further affect the cell growth, death, and functions, altering the cellular outcomes in energy-restricted environments. AMPK plays vital roles in maintaining good health. AMPK dysfunction is observed in various chronic diseases, making it a promising target for preventing and alleviating such diseases. Herein, we highlight the different AMPK functions, especially in allergy, aging, and cancer, to facilitate the development of new therapeutic approaches in the future.
