Lifelong education is a periodic keyword. For a lifelong learner friendly education, university should provide the adult learners with the efficient academic administrative service. A university should support them in learning a series of graded lifelong study and come up with the convenience of continuous learning, maintaining the educational operation as a lifelong education university. A local government induces the regional economy reinvigoration from setting the lifelong learning conditions of the city. In this paper, I suggest a policy management scheme for opening training courses of 3D printing and CAD professionals training module as a non-degree reeducation programs for the lifelong learners that reflects the industrial milieu of the local community.
The present study explores how the stress of online learners is related to Korean cultural norms and social expectation and presents the criteria online education should aim at when designing instructional approaches. A sample of 176 students from a Korean online university participated in a study investigating the patterns in the academic and personal stressors they face. This study also examines stressor types in relation to sample characteristics, analyzed with a categorization method developed by extant researchers on the stress faced by U.S. college students. Unlike the findings of previous studies on college student stress, this study's results reveal that nontraditional Korean online students were faced with (1) taking on the multiple roles at work and home prescribed by cultural and social norms, and (2) challenges in regulating study habits and the learning environment as adult learners. The relevant implications for the design of online learning are discussed.

The purpose of this study is to find out the development direction of adult learners' blended learning class as a study on the class satisfaction of adult college students according to the blended learning class participation type. To this end, a survey was conducted targeting adult learners at two schools that are carrying out the LiFE project (lifelong education system support project). The analyzed research results are as follows. First, in the case of adult learners, the proportion of participating in liberal arts + major classes as a blended learning subject was 77.8%, and home was the highest with 69.8% as a place to participate in online classes. Second, satisfaction with the blended learning teacher/instructor teaching method was generally satisfied with 95.2% of average or higher. Third, 96.8% of the students answered 'yes' or higher regarding the level of satisfaction with the blended learning method. The above research results show that blended learning is one of the important teaching and learning methods in providing adult-tailored education to adult learners who combine work and study. It can be seen that the blended learning teaching method is an effective teaching method that enables interactive communication between the instructor and the learner rather than the one-way teaching-oriented content delivery class of the traditional classroom.
The purpose of the present study is to verify the structural relationship among motivation to participate, organizational support, satisfaction and learning outcome in lifelong education. The survey was conducted on the learners who enrolled in "A" lifelong education center in the first semester of 2011 and structural equation modeling analysis were used. A total of 151 respondents were analyzed for this study. The major findings of this research are as follow: First, motivation to participate factor has an influence on the satisfaction and learning outcomes. Second, organizational support factor has an influence on the satisfaction, but not on the learning outcomes. Third, learners' satisfaction have direct effects on the learning outcomes. Furthermore, learners' satisfaction mediated causal relationship between motivation to participate and learning outcomes. This study proposed implications and managing strategies that enhance satisfaction of female adult learners in lifelong education environment and learning outcomes.
The purpose of this study is to seek practical implementation of adult learner-targeted college. For this, it first of all pointed out expanding opportunities of adult learners to learn and limitation of current lifelong education system at higher education level as well as lifelong learning centered university project. Then it selected and examined 3 university cases abroad, such as Harvard university, the university of Chicago in US and Warwick university in UK in terms of their curriculum and operating method for adult learners. In addition to the literature and case studies, this study did interviews on 5 professors with major of lifelong education and 5 managerial experts of university to suggest practical operating approach of adult learner-targeted college, which is as following. University's philosophy should be geared to meet public responsibility, specialization and persistency of the system and proper measurement be followed such as various range of admission track, prior education courses, recognition of prior learning experience, major, teaching method, curriculum and extra adult learner tailored service including financial support. Based on the study result, practical implications were suggested.

This study examined the multi-phrased effects and outcomes of adult female learners who participated in lifelong learning activities, as well as the proposed structural relationships among the five latent variables. Questions established to achieve the purpose of the study are as follow: What effects do the learner's characteristics, lifelong education institutions, learning flow, and learning satisfaction have on the learning come? The participants of the survey numbered 632, but 54 respondents who were unreliable or did not complete their survey were excluded. A total of 578 cases were analyzed for this research. The structural relationships among the five latent variables-learner's characteristics, lifelong education institutions, learning flow and learning satisfaction, and learning outcome of the adult female learners-AMOS 18.0 program were also used for structural analysis. The major findings of this research are as follows. First, the model fitness showed that the hypothetical model provided a reasonable fit to the data ${\chi}^2=224.267$ (df=69, p<.001), RMSEA=.062, TLI=.943, RFI=.920, CFI=.957, IFI=.957, NFI=.939. Second, the learner's characteristics ( =.218, p<.001) and lifelong education institutions ( =.301, p<.001) have a direct effect on the learning outcomes. The learning flow ( =-.149 p=.541) does not have a direct effect on the learning outcome. Learning satisfaction ( =.405 p<.001) have a direct effect on the learning outcome. To put findings above together, in respect to adult female learners' performances, the learning outcomes are influenced directly by the learner characteristics, conditions of the lifelong education institutions, and learning satisfaction, whereas satisfaction indirectly affects the learners' learning outcome.
This study aimed to examine the meaning of adult learners' experience in which they performed a convergence program for the self-confidence improvement of disabled persons with brain lesion who were daycare center users. For the goal, the study collected data through a 5-session profound interview with those disabled persons and then through this author's observation. This study analyzed all the data and, as a result, categorized three significant themes that best represented the above mentioned meaning, which are 'tension of beginning', 'joy of being in company with others' and 'I as the present being'. With those meaningful themes taken into serious consideration. Finally, this study suggested that field programs for social welfare practice in better connection with adult learners' major should be researched and developed.
As the life expectancy of human beings gets longer and our society changes into highly competitive arena, the implementation of online adult learning is growing, and therefore the learners in self-regulated scaffolding learning environments is becoming an important topic. This study is to investigate the main effects of scaffolding and self-regulation and the interaction effect on discussion participation and comprehension in online learning environments. To do this, ninety-nine adults taking online learning courses with the open university in Korea were investigated. Adult learners were divided into one of the four groups (no scaffolding, conceptual, strategic, and conceptual and strategic scaffoldings). Regarding self-regulation, learners were divided into two groups (low and high self-regulated) based on the mean score of subjective report of self-regulated learning. The results are as follows : First, 'strategic scaffolding' is more effective than 'conceptual scaffolding' in discussion participation (F=2.772, p < .05) and comprehension test (F=7.156, p < .05). Second, high self-regulated learners more actively participate than low self-regulated learners in discussion (F=6.230, p < .05), and achieve higher scores (F=4.863, p < .05). Third, there is no interaction effect between scaffolding strategies and the level of self-regulation. The theoretical and practical implications of these findings are discussed.
This paper attempts to analyze the characteristics of Korean vowel production by 12 Korean native speakers and 36 adult learners. The analyses have been performed with investigations of F1and F2 values. Results showed that there's no significant difference between /ㅔ/ and /H/ and between /ㅗ/ and /ㅜ/ in Korean native speakers' pronunciations. The distinguishing tendencies found in the analyses of foreign learners' pronunciations are fronting and lowering of /ㅗ/ by English speakers, backing and heightening of /ㅓ/ by Japanese speakers and backing and lowering of /ㅏ/ by Chinese speakers. For the limitations of this paper, it has a meaning of a preliminary study and could be developed into further research to show the order of acquisition and L1 transference.

This study was an attempt to present an appropriate way of interpreting L2 learners' linguistic behavior within Universal Grammar (UG) framework. Based on the Korean EFL adult learners' performance on the Subjacency violation sentences, the study suggested that the EFL learners are able to acquire subtle knowledge of target grammar and their linguistic behavior should be interpreted with the most recent version of UG theory, the Minimalist Program (MP) notion. The MP notion seems more plausible to accommodate incomplete L2 grammar while acknowledging UG-constrained interlanguage which the previous version, Principles and Parameters (P&P) approach, could not explain very well. The study observed no age-effects among the Korean EFL learners in their linguistic competence measured by the performance on the UG-constraint violation sentences. Having suggested that the MP notion can be a more reasonable tool to explain the EFL learners' linguistic behavior, the study introduced comprehensive hypotheses such as Constructionist Model (CM) and the Ontogeny Phylogeny Model (OPM).
