Relationship of Body Consciousness to Wearing Behavior : The degree to which they considered covering up physical weakness in wearing clothing was examined, by dividing them into two groups : one was a group that thought their own shape normal, and the other was a group that didn't think of their own shape as normal. As a result, both groups appeared not to consider covering up physical weakness.

Self-image is an organized structure of perceptions of one's self and it has a direct influence on values, ideas, goals and objective. And It is generally agreed that consumers engage in buying behavior that is consistent and congruent with their self-image. With this assumptions numerous researches have prove that consumers tends to favor the brand or store image that is congruent to self-image. According to these results we can assume that self-image also can have influence on consumer's information processing, especially in advertising process. Because one of the main factor in forming the brand or store image is advertising. Thus, this study is to propose it's effect of self-image in clothing advertising process. In specifically to find out congruency between self-image and clothing ad image's influence on ad recalling, ad attitude and buying intention. And also it's difference between ideal self and actual self. This study suggested that when there is a congruency between self-image and clothing ad image, consumers have more positive attitude toward the clothing ad and have more intention to buy the products ann also can recall more frequently. Considering the characteristics of clothing goods as a symbolical goods, ideal self-image is more effective than actual self-image.

This study examines the children's wear purchasing behavior of younger generation women (the missy group) and in the new-silver generation (retired). The data collected in the study were examined with a view to establish effective marketing strategies within the children's wear market, a market where the age and characteristics of the actual purchasers of the products have become more diverse. A descriptive survey method using a self-administered questionnaire was employed. The sample consisted of 398 females between the ages of 28 and 64 residing in Seoul and the Gyeonggi-do area. Data collected were analyzed by frequency, t-test, ANOVA, factor analysis, cluster analysis, and Cronbach's alpha coefficients. Respondents were classified into 4 groups by their clothes shopping orientation: conformable/brand conscious purchasing type, planned purchasing/enjoy shopping type, store/brand loyal impulse-oriented type, and dependent/low shopping interest type. There were differences between the missy and the new- silver generations under consideration. It is clear from the study that, even though some individuals of the missy group and of new-silver group belonged to the same shopping orientation type, individuals still showed differences with regard to children's wear purchasing behavior.

In tai.; part, the problem in translating the terminologies, 'self-concept' and 'self-image', are also discussed. (2) The aspects of self-image are explored, thus physical and social-psychological aspects are determined. The research was a survey and the subjects were 895 adolescents in Taejon, Korea. The measuring instruments was serif-administrated questionnaire consisted of star-entertainer imitation behaviors and clothing behaviors. The collected data were analyzed using factor analysis, ANOVA, Duncan's multiple range test. The purpose of this study was to investigate appearance management behavior of Koreans in their 40s and 50s according to Shangri-La Syndrome'. Shangri-La Syndrome means a social phenomena which people in their 40s and 50s want to live as young as people in their 20s and 30s. The questionnaires were distributed to 500 people in their 40s and 50s living in Ulsan, Dague, and Seoul. Of 500 questionnaires, 368 of them were used in data analysis. Descriptives, frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis were performed using SPSS 12.0. The degree of Shangri-La Syndrome was evaluated by a cognitive age. As a result, first, people in their 40s and 50s showed to recognize themselves about 9.1 years younger than actual ages. Second, the attitude to appearance management behavior revealed to be generally positive and the correlation between the cognitive age and the attitude to appearance management behavior was presented to be low and negative. Third, types of appearance management behavior were classified skin care and clothing, figure management, plastic surgery, hair. The smaller cognitive ages were, in other words, the larger the degree of Shangri-La Syndrome of respondents were, the more positive their opinions to the types of appearance management behavior were. Among the types of appearance management behavior, figure management was shown to be the most effective means for appearance management but, clothing the most frequent usable one. The purpose of this study is to understand how self-esteem, shopping motivations, and shopping tendencies affect the clothing purchase behavior of the so-called "MZ generation," a cohort that includes both millenials and Generation Z and exerts significant influence in various areas. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: First, it was found that extrinsic purchase motivations (purchased made due to the influence of other people), trend-seeking shopping tendencies, and pleasure-seeking shopping tendencies had a positive and significant effect on personal needs among the sub-factors of clothing purchase behavior of the MZ generation. Second, it was found that the MZ real purchase shopping motivations, trend-seeking shopping tendencies, pleasure-seeking shopping tendencies, and convenience-seeking shopping tendencies had a positive and significant effect on actual needs among the sub-factors of clothing purchase behavior among the MZ generation. Third, it was found that social self-esteem, extrinsic purchase motivations, and convenience-seeking shopping tendencies had a positive and significant effect on clothing marketing strategies among the sub-factors of clothing purchase behavior of the MZ generation. On the other hand, personal self-esteem was found to negatively affect the marketing strategies of clothing purchase behavior. In other words, the expectation that the MZ generation would buy clothes in accordance with their individual preferences and beliefs was not supported by the findings of this study. It would appear that the beliefs and behaviors of the digitally savvy MZ generation are changed by the fashion trend-related information they readily access when purchasing clothing. From the above research results, it can be concluded that there many variables that influence the clothing purchase behavior of the MZ generation and it is thus necessary to consider this cohort a new consumer segment and establish marketing strategies accordingly.

Price is a product attribute, which is determined by the function of the producing cost and profit. It is also identified as one of the most important components of the marketing mix. For consumers, price is an always-existing cue, definite evaluation criteria, and easily accessible information in the purchasing process. Considering the concept of the clothing-price in a comprehensive perspective encompassing economic, psychological and marketing perspectives, a theoretical model was developed. The model includes souses and dimensions of price perception and related behaviors. Souses of price perception were: the actual retail price at selling point, the internal reference price and external reference price. The dimensions of price perception included sacrifice perception, economic value perception, inference, savings perception and price as information perception. Clothing price related behaviors that flowed these dimensions were: low price consciousness, value for money consciousness, price-quality inference, price-prestige inference, sale proneness and price mavenism. An empirical study was conducted to validate the theoretical model. A questionnaire was developed and data were collected from 680 adult women living in Seoul, Korea. Confirmatory factor analysis as well as exploratory factor analysis results showed that theorized price related behaviors were successful classifications.
