For the purpose of this study, a questionnaire survey uses a scale being developed through the educational environmental factors on self-determination, academic motivation, and academic achievement. The survey was conducted among 202 students in middle and high school in Seoul. First, autonomy of variables of educational environment based on self-determination theory has influenced on internal and external academic motivation, confidence makes internal and reasonable motivation high, and relationship makes demotivation low. Second, Reward and Punishment Mark System which has recently been replaced traditional punishment doesn't have influenced on academic motivation of students. Third, internal motivation has positively influenced on willingness to take classes and academic achievement analyzing the effect of academic motivation sub-factors on academic achievement. Therefore, this study suggests that autonomy, confidence, and relationship in self-determination theory make academic motivation and willingness to take classes high.

  • Today, universities in Korea give a great effort to complement basic college scholastic ability of freshman. Maybe it could be unnecessary effort from university. However, we cannot just leave students who have poor academic performance about 10 to 30% in a university. Universities have to prepare to solve this problem. Thus government and universities investigate a lot of efforts but there is no guarantee. As a result, e-learning could be the best solution to complement poor academic performance of freshman and it also could be the best way to reduce financial burden of university. So, many universities introduce e-learning system and they also support professors to make e-learning content. We need to promote content usage and to improve overall operations. In this paper, we discuss poor academic performance problems under the current middle and high school education systems and review approaches to solve these problems. From this analysis, we propose the design of an effective e-learning system and a method of operation to complement students who achieve poor academic performance.

  • Central nervous system tumors are identified as tumors of the brain and spinal cord. The associated morbidity and mortality of cerebrospinal tumors are disproportionately high compared to other malignancies. While minimally invasive techniques have initiated a revolution in neurosurgery, artificial intelligence (AI) is expediting it. Our study aims to analyze AI's role in the neurosurgical management of cerebrospinal tumors. We conducted a scoping review using the Arksey and O'Malley framework. Upon screening, data extraction and analysis were focused on exploring all potential implications of AI, classification of these implications in the management of cerebrospinal tumors. AI has enhanced the precision of diagnosis of these tumors, enables surgeons to excise the tumor margins completely, thereby reducing the risk of recurrence, and helps to make a more accurate prediction of the patient's prognosis than the conventional methods. AI also offers real-time training to neurosurgeons using virtual and 3D simulation, thereby increasing their confidence and skills during procedures. In addition, robotics is integrated into neurosurgery and identified to increase patient outcomes by making surgery less invasive. AI, including machine learning, is rigorously considered for its applications in the neurosurgical management of cerebrospinal tumors. This field requires further research focused on areas clinically essential in improving the outcome that is also economically feasible for clinical use. The authors suggest that data analysts and neurosurgeons collaborate to explore the full potential of AI.

  • This study aims to suggest a new evaluating system for academic books in the field of humanities and social sciences in Korea. The data comprised the evaluating systems for researchers' academic achievements at 27 Korean and overseas universities, and questionnaire from researchers. The findings showed that academic books were rated higher twice than articles in Korean universities with various criteria. Universities in the US had no standardized systems, but publishers evaluated academic books. The UK and France had authorized organizations, REF and HCERHE, to evaluate researchers' products, whereas, in Japan, departments evaluated them without fixed systems. About 84% of Korean researchers preferred external evaluation on academic books. It is proposed to establish associations' evaluation, 'more than 200 pages and ISBN', and qualitative approach. 200-600 points can be given on books in the correlation of universities, associations, and Korea Research Foundation.

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to identify the level of job stress and to determine factors influencing job stress among nurses currently under Academic Credit Bank (ACB) system. Methods: The participants were 153 nurses who has taken courses of ACB system. Data were collected through self-report questionnaires and then analyzed with t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple linear regression with SPSS/WIN 18.0. Results: The score of job stress showed significant differences according to age, marital status, total period of clinical career, and nursing unit. Job stress had significant negative correlation to professional self-concept and organizational commitment. The factors influencing job stress were marital status, professional self-concept, and organizational commitment. Conclusion: The results suggest that various factors should be considered in development and implementation of programs to reduce the job stress of nurses currently under ACB system.

To reflect this trend, KODISA has set its sights on paper publication rate and citation index with pushing forward globalism. First, this study will arrange the process of globalism and the current state of paper submission, and propose the direction of improvement in academic journals through understanding the characteristics of each major field. Research design, data, and methodology - KODISA has preceeded in examining and publishing research papers related to distribution field through indirectly or stimulating academic advancement. KODISA covers the whole fields in social science as well as in business administration and economics that associated with distribution field not limiting only within the range of distribution field. That is, the new subject that contributes to the progress in distribution field with original research can be a priority criteria in KODISA journal publication. Results - The major fields in papers published in KODISA can be categorized broadly as distribution field with economic and business administration point of view. Therefore, the distribution field with economic point of view includes the issues such as regulations, system, industry, market environment, distribution system, trade, and macroeconomics, etc. The business administration point of view in distribution includes distribution strategy, distribution organization, and distribution channel from the perspectives of the firm, etc. Conclusions - The aim of KODISA in 2020 is to be a global academic journal as SCI level of each journal in KODISA, JDS(Registration journal), IJIDB(Registration candidate), EAJBM(Registration candidate), JAFEB(Cabell's Registration journal). The KODISA journals have already settled as the largest academic society and journals of Korea in 2016 currently from humanities and social sciences area by the most gross in publication circulation, volumes, and types. Hereafter, KODISA will focus on the improvement for the objective indicators such as Impact Factor and Centrality index as qualitative growth as well as quantitative expansion. By doing so, KODISA will be a forum for developmental academic debate with attracting the world's greatest scholars' papers. Furthermore, they will be recognized journals and grow as the first-rate academic journals inside and outside of Korea.
