This paper proposes an effective fire detection approach that includes the following multiple heterogeneous algorithms: moving region detection using grey level histograms, color segmentation using fuzzy c-means clustering (FCM), feature extraction using a grey level co-occurrence matrix (GLCM), and fire classification using support vector machine (SVM). The proposed approach determines the optimal threshold values based on grey level histograms in order to detect moving regions, and then performs color segmentation in the CIE LAB color space by applying the FCM. These steps help to specify candidate regions of fire. We then extract features of fire using the GLCM and these features are used as inputs of SVM to classify fire or non-fire. We evaluate the proposed approach by comparing it with two state-of-the-art fire detection algorithms in terms of the fire detection rate (or percentages of true positive, PTP) and the false fire detection rate (or percentages of true negative, PTN). Experimental results indicated that the proposed approach outperformed conventional fire detection algorithms by yielding 97.94% for PTP and 4.63% for PTN, respectively.

In an proposed Context-Aware SOA(Service Oriented Architecture) based OSGi(Open Service Gateway initiative) platform, Service provider manages relative kinds of services in an integrative basis from various sensors, puts each service in a SOAP (Simple Object access Protocol) message, and register thorn to the UDDI(Universal Description Discovery and Integration) server of service registry, service requester retrivel the specified kinds of services and call them to service provider. Recently most context-aware technologies for ubiquitous home network are mainly putting emphasis on RFID/USN and location-based technology. Because of this, service-oriented architecture researches have not been made enough. Under the environment of an OSGi service platform, various context-aware services are dynamically mapping from various sensors, new services are being offered for the asking of users, and existing services are changing. Accordingly, the data sharing between services provided, management of service life cycle, and the facilitation of service distribution are needed. Taking into considering all these factors, this study has suggested an Context-Aware SOA based eclipse SOA Tools Platform using OSGi platform that can transaction throughtput of more than 546 TPS of distributional Little's Law from ATAM(Architecture Tradeoff Analysis Method) while remaining stable other condition.
The rainfall-runoff relationship is very difficult to predict because it is complicate factor affected by many temporal and spatial parameters of the basin. In recent, models which is based on artificial intelligent such as neural network, genetic algorithm fuzzy etc., are frequently used to predict discharge while stochastic or deterministic or empirical models are used in the past. However, the discharge data which are generally used for prediction as training and validation set are often estimated from rating curve which has potential error in its estimation that makes a problem in reliability. Therefore, in this study, water stage is predicted from antecedent rainfall and water stage data for short term using three models of neural network which trained by error back propagation algorithm and optimized by genetic algorithm and training error back propagation after it is optimized by genetic algorithm respectively. As the result, the model optimized by Genetic Algorithm gives the best forecasting ability which is not much decreased as the forecasting time increase. Moreover, the models using stage data only as the input data give better results than the models using precipitation data with stage data.
In this paper, an automated segmentation algorithm is proposed for MR brain images using T1-weighted, T2-weighted, and PD images complementarily. The proposed segmentation algorithm is composed of 3 step. In the first step, cerebrum images are extracted by putting a cerebrum mask upon the three input images. In the second step, outstanding clusters that represent inner tissues of the cerebrum are chosen among 3-dimensional(3D) clusters. 3D clusters are determined by intersecting densely distributed parts of 2D histogram in the 3D space formed with three optimal scale images. Optimal scale image is made up of applying scale space filtering to each 2D histogram and searching graph structure. Optimal scale image best describes the shape of densely distributed parts of pixels in 2D histogram and searching graph structure. In the final step, cerebrum images are segmented using FCM algorithm with its initial centroid value as the outstanding clusters centroid value. The proposed cluster's centroid accurately. And also can get better segmentation results from the proposed segmentation algorithm with multi spectral analysis than the method of single spectral analysis.
This study aims (1) to identify whether real terms of imprisonment for sexual offenders against children are different between the first trial and appeal trial in 16 cases and (2) to assess which sentencing factors such as history of sexual crime of perpetrator, forgiveness of children, regretfulness of perpetrator, power of perpetrator, and relationship of perpetrator and victim influence sentencing period of imprisonment in the first and appeal trials, respectively. This study used cases which were prosecuted for sexual crimes against children since the protection act on the children and juveniles from sexual abuse was enacted in 2000. The target cases of the study include 8 first trials and 8 appeal cases which were appealed to the Supreme Court between 2000 and 2015. Result condition is the real term of imprisonment. Cause conditions include sentencing factors such as history of sexual crime, regretfulness, and power of perpetrator, forgiveness of child, and relationship between offender and victim. We employed Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA) for data analysis. We found that there are sentences in the first trial with lower terms than appeal trial regarding child sexual crimes. In addition, we found that (1) power of perpetrator and forgiveness of victim significantly influenced sentencing periods of imprisonment at levels of courts; (2) cause condition considered as comparatively more important in the first trial was regretfulness of perpetrator(but not in the appeal trial); and (3) relationship of perpetrator and child was not important in sentencing for sexual crime at both levels of trials.

Mokpo port marked the $131^{st}$ anniversary of its opening in 2018. while the Mokpo has taken the new port development initiatives, it is limited by inefficient port functioning due to the lack of maritime port policy and government investment. Hence, port logistics has not been activated. Additionally, studies on Mokpo port have not been conducted, and knowledge available on the port is declarative in nature. On the other hand, research on port competitiveness focuses on how to analyze the factors that determine port competitiveness. Therefore, this study was intended to expand the existing research on Mokpo port and conduct an analysis of non-competitiveness factors and suggested improvements by considering the operational aspect of Mokpo port. In this regard the importance of non-competitiveness factors was assessed through an analytic hierarchy process(AHP) analysis and the influence of the non-competitiveness factors was analyzed through an fuzzy structural modeling(FSM) analysis. The result of the AHP analysis show ed the important non-competitiveness factors included the deactivation of industrial complexes around Mokpo port, the number of liner route, the cost of the pilot and tug. Accor ding to the FSM analysis, the top level included the non-competitive factors at Mokpo port; the intermediate level included the number of liner routes, cost of pilot and tug, enrance and clearance fee, costs of inland transportation, fee for port facilities, and loading and unloading costs; and the bottom level comprised the most non-competitive factors including the deactivation of industrial complexes around Mokpo port, hinterland connectivity, access to international port, incentives, and cost of transportation and storage. Based on the results of analysis, improvements were suggested for non-competitive factors of Mokpo.
This study examines the association between family policies and family gap using data for 14 OECD countries. As family policies have different assumptions about women's roles and include variant sub-policies, this study identify two distinct family policies: 'employment support policy' to support women as employed workers and 'caregiving support policy' to support women as caregivers. Meanwhile, women's wage cannot be determined by the effect of 'only' family policy. Therefore, analysis model includes variant macro structure supposed to affect women's labor status and wage, like labor market structure, wage structure(compression), women's social status and economic status, and examines interaction effects between family policies and these labor market and social structures using Fuzzy-Set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (FSQCA). The FSQCA result shows that relatively low family gap is associated with the conjunctual causation of developed 'employment support policy' and compressed wage structure.
Recently there are many development and support policies for start-up companies because of successful venture companies related to ICT services. However, as these policies have focused on the support for the initial stage of start-up, many start-up companies have difficulties to continuously grow up. The main reason for these difficulties is that they recognize start-up tasks as independent activities. However, many experts or related articles say that start-up tasks are composed of related processes from the initial stage to the stable stage of start-up firms. In this study, we models the start-up processes based on the survey collected by the start-up companies, and analyze the start-up process of ICT service companies with process mining techniques. Through process mining analysis, we can draw a sequential flow of tasks for start-ups and the characteristics of them. The analysis of start-up businessman, idea derivation, creating business model, business diversification processes are resulted as important processes, but marketing activity and managing investment funds are not. This result means that marketing activity and managing investment funds are activities that need ongoing attention. Moreover, we can find temporal and complementary tasks which could not be captured by independent individual-level activity analysis. Our process analysis results are expected to be used in simulation-based web-intelligent system to support start-up business, and more cumulated start-up business cases will be helpful to give more detailed individual-level personalization service. And our proposed process model and analyzing results can be used to solve many difficulties for start-up companies.
As the complexity of a 3D game is increased by various factors of the game scenario, it has a problem for controlling the interrelation of the game objects. Therefore, a game system has a necessity of the coordination of the responses of the game objects. Also, it is necessary to control the behaviors of animations of the game objects in terms of the game scenario. To produce realistic game simulations, a system has to include a structure for designing the interactions among the game objects. This paper presents a method that designs the dynamic control mechanism for the interaction of the game objects in the game scenario. For the method, we suggest a game agent system as a framework that is based on intelligent agents who can make decisions using specific rules. Game agent systems are used in order to manage environment data, to simulate the game objects, to control interactions among game objects, and to support visual authoring interface that ran define a various interrelations of the game objects. These techniques can process the autonomy level of the game objects and the associated collision avoidance method, etc. Also, it is possible to make the coherent decision-making ability of the game objects about a change of the scene. In this paper, the rule-based behavior control was designed to guide the simulation of the game objects. The rules are pre-defined by the user using visual interface for designing their interaction. The Agent State Decision Network, which is composed of the visual elements, is able to pass the information and infers the current state of the game objects. All of such methods can monitor and check a variation of motion state between game objects in real time. Finally, we present a validation of the control method together with a simple case-study example. In this paper, we design and implement the supervised classification systems for high resolution satellite images. The systems support various interfaces and statistical data of training samples so that we can select the most effective training data. In addition, the efficient extension of new classification algorithms and satellite image formats are applied easily through the modularized systems. The classifiers are considered the characteristics of spectral bands from the selected training data. They provide various supervised classification algorithms which include Parallelepiped, Minimum distance, Mahalanobis distance, Maximum likelihood and Fuzzy theory. We used IKONOS images for the input and verified the systems for the classification of high resolution satellite images.
