The fungus, Emericellopsis minima W2, capable of degrading poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) (PHB) was isolated from a waste water sample. Production of the PHB depolymerase from E. minima W2 (PhaZ/ sub Emi/) was significantly repressed in the presence of glucose. PhaZ/ sub Emi/ was purified by column chromatography on Octyl-Sepharose CL-4B and Sephadex G-100. The molecular mass of the PhaZ/ sub Emi/), which consisted of a single polypeptide chain, was estimated to be 48.0 kDa by SDS-PAGE and its pI vague was 4.4. The maximum activity of the PhaZ/ sub Emi/ was observed at pH 9.0 and 55$\^{C}$. It was significantly inactivated by 1mM dithiothreitol, 2mM diisopropyl fluorphosphate, 0.1mM Tween 80, and 0.1 mM Triton X-l00, but insensitive to phenylmethylsulfonyl fluoride and N-ethylmaleimide. The PhaZ/ sub Emi/ efficiently hydrolyzed PHB and its copolyester with 30 mol% 3-hydroxyvalerate, but did not act on poly(3-hydroxyoctanoate). It also hydrolyzed p-nitrophenylacetate and p-nitrophenylbutyrate but hardly affected the longer-chain forms. The main hydrolysis product of PHB was identified as a dimer of 3-hydroxybutyrate.

Put ($$^*$$) $$G[x,y]={\sum}\limits^{p+q=n}_{p,q=0}[-n]_{p+q}c_{p,q}x^py^q$$, where $[{\lambda}]_m$ is the Pocbhammer symbol and the $c_{p,q}$ are arbitrary constants. Making use of the specialized forms of some of his earlier results (see [8] and [9] the author derives here bilateral generating functions of the type ($$^{**}$$) $${\sum}\limits^{\infty}_{n=0}{\frac{[\lambda]_n}{n!}}_2F_1[\array{{\rho}-n,\;{\alpha};\\{\lambda}+{\rho};}x]\;G[y,z]t^n$$ where ${\alpha}$, ${\rho}$ and ${\lambda}$ are arbitrary complex numbers. In particular, it is shown that when G[y, z] is a double hypergeometric polynomial, the right-band member of ($^{**}$) belongs to a class of general triple hypergeometric functions introduced by the author [7]. An interesting special case of ($^{**}$) when ${\rho}=-m,\;m$ being a nonnegative integer, yields a class of bilateral generating functions for the Jacobi polynomials $\{P_n{^{{\alpha},{\beta}}}(x)\}$ in the form ($$^{***}$$) $${\sum\limits^{\infty}_{n=0}}\(\array{m+n\\n}\)P{^{({\alpha}-n,{\beta}-n)}_{m+n}(x)\;G[y,z]{\frac{t^n}{n!}}$$, which provides a unification of several known results. Further extensions of ($^{**}$) and ($^{***}$) with G[y, z] replaced by an analogous multiple sum $H\[y_1,{\cdots},y_m\]$ are also discussed.

Let $\mathscr{B}^{{\eta},{\mu}}_{p,n}\;({\alpha});\;({\eta},{\mu}{\in}{\mathbb{R}},\;n,\;p{\in}{\mathbb{N}})$ denote all functions f class in the unit disk ${\mathbb{U}}$ as $f(z)=z^p+\sum_{k=n+p}^{\infty}a_kz^k$ which satisfy: $$\|\[{\frac{f^{\prime}(z)}{pz^{p-1}}}\]^{\eta}\;\[\frac{z^p}{f(z)}\]^{\mu}-1\| <1-{\frac{\alpha}{p}};\;(z{\in}{\mathbb{U}},\;0{\leq}{\alpha}<p)$$. And $\mathscr{M}^{{\eta},{\mu}}_{p,n}\;({\alpha})$ indicates all meromorphic functions h in the punctured unit disk $\mathbb{U}^*$ as $h(z)=z^{-p}+\sum_{k=n-p}^{\infty}b_kz^k$ which satisfy: $$\|\[{\frac{h^{\prime}(z)}{-pz^{-p-1}}}\]^{\eta}\;\[\frac{1}{z^ph(z)}\]^{\mu}-1\|<1-{\frac{\alpha}{p}};\;(z{\in}{\mathbb{U}},\;0{\leq}{\alpha}<p)$$. In this paper several sufficient conditions for some classes of functions are investigated. The authors apply Jack's Lemma, to obtain this conditions. Furthermore, sufficient conditions for strongly starlike and convex p-valent functions of order ${\gamma}$ and type ${\beta}$, are also considered.

Let ${\mu}$ be a finite positive Borel measure on the unit ball $B{\subset}{\mathbb{C}}^n$ and ${\nu}$ be the Euclidean volume measure such that ${\nu}(B)=1$. For the unit sphere $S=\{z:{\mid}z{\mid}=1\}$, ${\sigma}$ is the rotation-invariant measure on S such that ${\sigma}(S) =1$. Let ${\mathcal{P}}[f]$ be the Poisson-$Szeg{\ddot{o}}$ integral of f and $\tilde{\mu}$ be the Berezin transform of ${\mu}$. In this paper, we show that if there is a constant M > 0 such that ${\int_B}{\mid}{\mathcal{P}}[f](z){\mid}^pd{\mu}(z){\leq}M{\int_B}{\mid}{\mathcal{P}}[f](z){\mid}^pd{\nu}(z)$ for all $f{\in}L^p(\sigma)$, then ${\parallel}{\tilde{\mu}}{\parallel}_{\infty}{\equiv}{\sup}_{z{\in}B}{\mid}{\tilde{\mu}}(z){\mid}<{\infty}$, and we show that if ${\parallel}{\tilde{\mu}{\parallel}_{\infty}<{\infty}$, then ${\int_B}{\mid}{\mathcal{P}}[f](z){\mid}^pd{\mu}(z){\leq}C{\mid}{\mid}{\tilde{\mu}}{\mid}{\mid}_{\infty}{\int_S}{\mid}f(\zeta){\mid}^pd{\sigma}(\zeta)$ for some constant C.

For a given p-valent analytic function g with positive coefficients in the open unit disk $\Delta$, we study a class of functions $f(z) = z^p - \sum\limits{_{n=m}}{^\infty} a_nz^n(a_n{\geq}0)$ satisfying $$\frac 1 {p}{\Re}\;(\frac {z(f*g)'(z)} {(f*g)(z)})\;>\;\alpha\;(0{\leq}\;\alpha\;<\;1;z{\in}{\Delta})$$ Coefficient inequalities, distortion and covering theorems, as well as closure theorems are determined. The results obtained extend several known results as special cases.

In this investigation, the accumulation mineralization and annual cycle of organic P has been studied in grassland ecosysterns of a Z japonica grassland and a M sinensis grassland on Mt. Kwanak. The basic models of the accumulation and mineralization for ash components of a grass-litter have been presented as the equations (1), (2), and (3). The equations (7)~(10) for organic P are derived from these basic concepts. There was a highty significant relationship between organic matter and organic P. The estimates between organic matter and organic P correlated very high significance. The parameter factors k or k' of mineralization of organic P for the Z. japonica and M sinensis asslands were k=0.412 or k'=0.292 and k=0.224 or k'=0.183, respectively. The time required for a cycle to be completed from organic P to inorganic P of 50, 95 and 99 % are 3.9, 16.7 and 27.8 years in the Z. japonica grassland and 4.1, 17.7 and 29.4 years in the M sinensis grassland. The annual P cycle formulae for mineralization were based on the equations (5), (11) and (12). Annual yields of mineralization for organic P in the steady state grasslands of Z. japonica and M sinensis were 0.407 and 0.504g /$m^2$, respectively.

Objectives: The hepatotoxicity induced by Acetaminophen (AAP) mostly mediated by effect on oxidative stress parameters. The Zataria multiflora (Z.M) is an herbal medicine with well-known antioxidant effect. The aim of this study is investigation of preventive effects of Z.M and Carvacrol (CAR) on AAP-induced hepatotoxicity in rats. Methods: Rats were randomly divided into four groups including: 1) Control, 2) Acetaminophen (AAP), 3) and 4) CAR. The saline, Z.M (200 mg/kg) and CAR (20 mg/kg) were administrated orally for 6 days, after that AAP (600 mg/kg) was administrated in the $7^{th}$ day. Blood sampling was performed on the first and last days. Also, the liver tissue was removed for evaluation of Malondyaldehide (MDA), Thiol content, Superoxide dismutase (SOD) and Catalase (CAT). Total Protein (tPro), Glutamic Oxaloacetic Transaminase (GOT), Glutamic Pyruvic Transaminase (GPT) and Alkaline Phosphatase (ALP) in liver tissue were evaluated. The changes (${\Delta}$) of enzymes activities were presented. Results: The ${\Delta}GOT$, ${\Delta}GPT$ and ${\Delta}ALP$ in CAR group significantly decreased compared to AAP group (P < 0.01 to P < 0.001) and ${\Delta}GPT$ in Z.M group was significantly reduced in comparison with AAP group (P < 0.05). Also, MDA, Thiol, SOD and CAT levels in treated groups were attenuated compared to AAP group (P < 0.05 to P < 0.001). Conclusion: Z.M and CAR have a powerful hepatoprotective effect. CAR is more effective than Z.M. Based on the results. Z.M and CAR could be potent supplementary agents against hepatotoxicity of AAP in patients.

Zymomonas mobilis의 알코올 탈수소 효소 유전자가 클로닝된 대장균 형질전환체의 세포 추출물로부터 알코올 탈수소 효소를 분리정제하였다. 형질전환된 Escherichia coli(pADS93)가 생산하는 Z.mobilis 유전자 유래의 알코올 탈수소 효소는 분자량이 40,000인 동일한 4개의 subunits로 구성된 tetramer임이 밝혀졌으며 이것은 Z.mobilis의 세포 추출물로부터 분리한 알코올 탈수소 효소와 동일하였다. 이 효소의 정반응(ethanol 산화)은 pH의 영향을 많이 받으며 pH는 10.0이었고 역반응(acetaldehyde 환원)에서는 최적의 pH가 7.5-8.5 이었지만 pH에 따라 크게 영향을 받지는 않았다.

We obtain Lipschitz type characterization and double integral characterization for Fock-type spaces with the norm $${\parallel}f{\parallel}^p_{F^p_{m,{\alpha},t}}\;=\;{\displaystyle\smashmargin{2}{\int\nolimits_{{\mathbb{C}}^n}}\;{\left|{f(z){e^{-{\alpha}}{\mid}z{\mid}^m}}\right|^p}\;{\frac{dV(z)}{(1+{\mid}z{\mid})^t}}$$, where ${\alpha}>0$, $t{\in}{\mathbb{R}}$, and $m{\in}\mathbb{N}$. The results of this paper are the extensions of the classical weighted Fock space $F^p_{2,{\alpha},t}$.
