  • This paper presents a design strategy for the control of the Z-source inverter (ZSI). For the Z-network capacitor voltage control, the average current model is derived to describe the dynamics of the voltage control and the controller outputs the average current command for the capacitor. Z-network inductor current reference is derived from the average current model of the Z-network capacitor. The inner current control loop outputs the average voltage command for the Z-network inductor and the shoot-through duty ratio of the ZSI is calculated from the output using the average voltage model of the Z-network inductor. The gain values of the current and voltage controllers are directly obtained by the Z-network parameters and desired bandwidth of each controller without a gain tuning process.

  • As there are few documents about how to design and implement a sensor network with Z-Stack, developers can get information from developer's community on Internet. That takes longer time to develop the network. This paper presents how to design and implement a range measuring sensor network with Z-Stack's Generic application and ultrasonic sensors based on CC2530, and then show experimental results through the implemented network. This work will make less time for a developer to implement a sensor network with Z-Stack.

  • This paper proposes the algorithm for the output AC voltage control of Z-source inverter by the detection of the input DC voltage and Z-network capacitor voltage. The actual modulation index of the proposed method is detected by the capacitor voltage in Z-network and input DC voltage of three-phase Z-source inverter. Control modulation index for the output voltage control is calculated by the detected actual modulation index and reference modulation index. And, calculated control modulation index is applied to the modified space vector modulation (SVM) for control the output voltage of Z-source inverter. To verify the validity of the proposed method, PSIM simulation was achieved and a DSP controlled 1[kW] three-phase Z-source inverter was producted. The simulation and experiment were performed under the condition that the load was changed in case of the constant input DC voltage and the input DC voltage was changed in case of the load was constant. As a result, we could know that the output phase voltage of Z-source inverter followed to the reference voltage 70[VRMS] despite the load or the input DC voltage were suddenly changed.

  • In this paper, we proposed a home network integrated dimmer switch using Z-wave Mesh Network. The dimmer switch come with wired and wireless network-based intelligent lighting switch that can be installed in a apartments with home network technologies. This switch is ease to install and operate. Furthermore, it provide power saving through efficient control of light using motion detect sensor and light intensity sensor. In order to evaluate the performance of our developed home network integrated dimmer switch, we performed a load performance test and from our result, it showed excellent performance in terms of lighting control and communication speed.

  • Switched-inductor (SL) Z-source three-level inverter is a novel high power topology. The SL based impedance network can boost the input dc voltage to a higher value than the single LC impedance network. However, as all the neutral-point-clamped (NPC) inverters, the SL Z-source three-level inverter has to balance the neutral-point (NP) potential too. The principle of the inverter is introduced and then the effects of NP potential unbalance are analyzed. A NP balancing method is proposed. Other than the methods for conventional NPC inverter without Z-source impedance network, the upper and lower shoot-through durations are corrected by the feedforward compensation factors. With the proposed method, the NP potential is balanced and the voltage boosting ability of the Z-source network is not affected obviously. Simulations are conducted to verify the proposed method.

  • recently, a new hypercube-like interconnection network, the Z-cube, was proposed. The Z-cube retains most good topological properties, however, its node degree is 3/4 of hypercube's one. Considering hardware implementations, the Z-cube is a good alternative to the hypercube. In this paper, we obtained the diameter, fault diameter and the average distance between two nodes to evaluate the communication performance of the Z-cube. The recursive structure, the shortest path between two nodes I Z-cube and recurrence relation on the average distance were deduced, and node disjoint path was introduced. Although it is generally expected that the communication performance in an interconnection network with reduced node degree falls as much as that, this paper shows that the Z-cube's diameter is the same as the hypercube's one and the average distance between two nodes in Z-cube is about 1.125 times the average distance between two nodes in the hypercube and the fault diameter of Z-cube ranges approximately from 1.4times to 1.7times the fault diameter of the hypercube.

  • In this paper, we propose a new Z-source inverter structure to reduce switching elements and PWM pulse control method. Z-network is connected between the inverter backplane and ground, rather than between the DC voltage and the inverter in an improved Z-source inverter. And the improved Z-source inverter has the advantages of limiting the capacitor inrush current and reducing the capacitor voltage stress. We have proposed a topology of a new type of switch-reduced improved Z-source inverter that reduces the number of switches from six to four in an improved Z-source inverter and developed a PWM control method suitable for the proposed topology. The characteristics and the performance of the proposed method were verified by using PSIM simulation.

  • This study analyzed the social media accounts and performed a Big Data analysis of Z-generation fashion using Textom Text Mining Techniques program and Ucinet Big Data analysis program. The research results are as follows: First, as a result of keyword analysis on 67.646 Z-generation fashion social media posts over the last 5 years, 220,211 keywords were extracted. Among them, 67 major keywords were selected based on the frequency of co-occurrence being greater than more than 250 times. As the top keywords appearing over 1000 times, were the most influential as the number of nodes connected to 'Z generation' (29595 times) are overwhelmingly, and was followed by 'millennials'(18536 times), 'fashion'(17836 times), and 'generation'(13055 times), 'brand'(8325 times) and 'trend'(7310 times) Second, as a result of the analysis of Network Degree Centrality between the key keywords for the Z-generation, the number of nodes connected to the "Z-generation" (29595 times) is overwhelmingly large. Next, many 'millennial'(18536 times), 'fashion'(17836 times), 'generation'(13055 times), 'brand'(8325 times), 'trend'(7310 times), etc. appear. These texts are considered to be important factors in exploring the reaction of social media to the Z-generation. Third, through the analysis of CONCOR, text with the structural equivalence between major keywords for Gen Z fashion was rearranged and clustered. In addition, four clusters were derived by grouping through network semantic network visualization. Group 1 is 54 texts, 'Diverse Characteristics of Z-Generation Fashion Consumers', Group 2 is 7 Texts, 'Z-Generation's teenagers Fashion Powers', Group 3 is 8 Texts, 'Z-Generation's Celebrity Fashions' Interest and Fashion', Group 4 named 'Gucci', the most popular luxury fashion of the Z-generation as one text.

  • This paper proposes a quasi Z-source converter(QZSC) with a diode-capacitor output filter to improve the output DC voltage boost ability. The proposed converter has the same quasi Z-source network topology compared with the conventional converter. But the proposed method is adopted a diode-capacitor filter as its output filter, since the conventional method is used an inductor-capacitor as its output filter. Under the condition of the same input-output DC voltage, the proposed method has more lower shoot-through duty ratio than the conventional method. Also, because the proposed converter has same voltage boost factor under lower shoot-through duty ratio compared with the conventional converter, the proposed converter can be operated with the lower capacitor voltage of Z-source network and the lower input current. To confirm the validity of the proposed method, PSIM simulation and a DSP based experiment were performed to acquire the output DC voltage 120[V] under the input DC voltage 80[V]. And the capacitor voltage and inductor current in Z-source network, the output voltage of each converter were compared and discussed.

  • Two logic transformations, De Morgan and re-substitution, are sufficient to convert a unate gate network (UGN) to a more general balanced inversion parity (BIP) network. Circuit classes of interest are discussed in detail. We prove that De Morgan and re-substitution transformations are test-set preserving for path delay faults. Using the results of this paper, we can easily show that a high-level test set for a function z that detects all path delay faults in any UGN realizing z also detects all path delay faults in any BIP realization of z.
