  • The purpose of this study is to investigate and analysis importance for evaluation indicators in youth centers. The sample of it is 138 youth centers. Method of this analysis of importance for its indicators is AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process). Evaluation domains in youth center are process evaluation, product evaluation, input evaluation and specialized program in order of importance. Also, it is important to evaluate in needs assessment, recruitment of youth instructor, participation of youth in decision making, connective project with schools, sanitation level of youth center, satisfaction research, efforts of improvement of youth center staff in evaluation indicators. The result of this study is that importance for evaluation indicators suggests developmental directivity in youth center management.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop and evaluate the efficacy of a Family Relationship Enhancement Program for runaway youth. The theoretical framework of this program was based on Solution-Focused, Satir's Experiential, and Cognitive-Behavioral models. Need assessment analysis of youth shelter workers, focus group interviews with runaway youths, and advisory council meetings were used as a complementary resource for this study. Thirty-one runaway youths from 6 youth shelters in Seoul and Kyunggi participated in 4 two-hour sessions of this Family Relationship Enhancement Program. All participants were subjected to pre-test and post-test analysis in order to assess the efficacy of the program. The results of this study showed that the Family Relationship Enhancement Program had significantly increased the participants' self-esteem, communication capability, and understanding of family values.

  • Youth Culture Center is a space only for adolescents, where they can experience a wide range of educational and cultural activities. Through the case study of existing several youth culture centers, we find problems and show that a new-planned space is the most suitable for adolescents' traits and youth culture center's program operation. Consequently, a new Interior plan will provide adolescents with the place 'by youth' and 'for youth' Adolescents' traits must be accepted and their culture also must be respected. Constructing youth culture center's space properly and arranging it functionally enables 'to overcome the limit to a small space. Youth culture center is to be designed to symbolize adolescents' cultural feelings. On the basis of the conclusion, a specific interior design plan is given as follows.

  • In Korea, only a small study based on the bibliotherapy program for responsibility promotion of at risk or alienated youth has been performed. The purpose of this proposed study is to further examine the challenges and effects of a group bibliotherapy program on alienated youth to determine the degree of success in terms of "responsibility" and/or positive results. The current research program included a relatively small sample size of 11 young people (2 boys, 9 girls) in the Suwon Youth Center from November to December, 2015. The alienated youth program consisted of 8 sessions in the correct activity center with or having levels of insight, application, and verification measured using the Lee Sang Ro et al. (1989), Developmental Responsibility Examination (Scale of Responsibility). As a result, this study will confirm that the program to raise the level of alienated youth responsibility produces positive effects. These results will provide additional theoretical rationale and implications capable for applying "responsibility" education for alienated youth to the overall field encompassing youth education. Based on this, it will be necessary to extend various identified methods in depth to achieve this overall goal.

  • SNe light curves have been used to understand the expansion history of the universe, and a lot of efforts have gone into understanding the overall shape of the radioactively powered light curve. However, we still have little direct observational evidence for the theorized SN progenitor systems. Recent studies suggest that the light curve of a supernova shortly after its explosion (< 1 day) contains valuable information about its progenitor system and can be used to set a limit on the progenitor size, R*. In order to catch the early light curve of SNe explosion and understand SNe progenitors, we are performing a ~8hr interval monitoring survey of nearby galaxies (d < 50 Mpc) with 1-m class telescopes around the world. Through this survey, we expect to catch the very early precursor emission as faint as R=21 mag (~0.1 Rsun for the progenitor). In this poster, we outline this project, and provide updates on IMSNG projects during 2017/2018 seasons.

  • The purpose of this research is to suggest some measures to improve policy issues by analyzing policy related to a child care service program in the community. Gilbert and Terrell's social policy analysis framework is used to analyze an after-school care service program for elementary school children. Furthermore, the Elementary Care Class(including the After-school Program), Youth After-school Academy, and Community Child Center, referred to as public care services, are employed to analyze community care service programs for children. The Elementary Care Class, Youth After-school Academy and Community Child Center are very similar in terms of the contents and application of the care service program for children, and mainly serve children in low-income groups. In addition, although user overlapping is an inevitable problem because the operating time of the Elementary Care Class and After-school Program coincides with that of the Youth After-school Academy and Community Child Center, it is structurally very hard to adjust the content of service, operating time, and so on because of differences in the delivery system for each program. Therefore, it is necessary to generate a unified delivery system to manage after-school care service programs for children and create a new special control tower to solve these problems. Furthermore, it is needed to extend the services to children from general double-income family, which is a blind spot of the care service.

  • This study intended to establish a direction for the revitalization of youth culture centers by examining the current status of youth centers operated in Daejeon and how they have been used. Four youth centers in Daejeon were visited and a survey was conducted targeting 180 people using the centers. Frequency, Mean, and ${\chi}^2$ analysis were performed by using SPSS statistics package, and major research outcomes are as follows; There were 6 youth culture centers in Daejeon and showed a lower construction rate of 7.4% on the basis of 81 up, myun and dong. Most youth centers were small, around $300-500m^2$ in total floor area, and accommodated 100-200 people, and the space comprised multipurpose hall, cafeteria, open space, club space, multimedia space, information service room, and guide booth. There were no sports spaces among the target facilities. So, it has created the need for physical activity space to promote health & development. Most users visited centers with their friends and simply to use the facilities, and the satisfaction with the facilities was relatively high at 4.32. The role of the local community and financial support of the government is required to activate the youth culture. Also, for the role of youth culture center, it was suggested that the youth culture center should develop program which corresponds with the level of the youth and boast the interest of the youth.

  • The theses is an analytical comparison research between 'Skills Link' and 'Do Dream' : the former is an effective program to establish a variety of intervention strategies and the institutional foundation for employment support of disadvantaged youth, performed by ESDC in the level of the nation, and the latter is the program which is carried out by K-Dream Center of MGEF in South Korea. As for the research method, comparison and analysis have been fulfilled, focusing on the employment support program. The research includes program background, goal, participation subject, selection standard, program contents, support period, support cost, and program effect. It suggests that we should design the systematic program for the youth in the transition to independency and perform constant support. It is necessary to select beneficiary on the consideration of the characteristics and situation of the disadvantaged youth. In addition, it is required to secure consistency of the program and enlarge the support period. For the sake of successful performance of the independent living program, it is a necessity to motivate the youth and introduce the ways to encourage the business sector to take part in.
