For activating home network, the security service is positively necessary and especially the access control supports secure home network services and differentiated services. But, the existing security technology for home network seldom consider access control or has a architecture to be dependent on specific middleware. Therefore, in this paper we propose a scheme to support integrated access control in home network to use XACML, access control standard of next generation, to have compatability and extensibility and we design and implement XACML access control system based on this. we also had m access control experiment about various policy to connect developed XACML access control system with the UPnP proxy based on OSGi in order to verify compatability with existing home network system.

In the Internet era, enterprises want to use personal information of their own or other enterprises' subscribers, and even provide it to other enterprises for their profit. In this paper, a privacy authorization system for personal information based on privacy policies of users and enterprises is designed and implemented. Privacy policies of users and enterprises are described in XACML. Also, components of policy in XACML 2.0 such as Purpose, Obligation are suitable for expressing privacy policy. A prototype of privacy authorization system is implemented by modifying and extending the SUNXACML 1.2, a Sun's implementation of XACML 1.0 and some features of XACML 2.0, and GUI tools for composing and verifying are also developed.

In traditional approach, enterprise-wide consistent security policy enforcement for applications is very difficult task. Therefore, industry is now moving towards new unified enterprise application security concept that consist of centralized authentication and authorization mechanism. The eXtensible Access Control Markup Language (XACML); an XML-based standard defined by OASIS, is most suitable choice which can support centralized, role based, context aware access control mechanism. It is designed to provide universal standard for writing authorization policies and access control request/response language for managing access to the resources. This paper includes a brief overview on XACML and discusses its benefits, limitations and a data flow process. We propose a new generic access control architecture that supports enterprise wide centralized application level access control mechanism using XACML. The other benefits which can be achieved through this architecture are, reduce adnministration cost and complexity, support of heterogeneous computing platforms, centralized monitoring system, automatic fail over, scalability and availability, open standard based solution and secure communication.

웹 서비스의 등장으로 XML이 기반 기술로서 자리 매김하고 있는 현재, XML을 이용하여 여러 표준기술을 제정하려는 움직임이 많아지고 있다. XACML은 접근제어 리스트 (access control list)를 통해 보안이 요구되는 자원에 대해 미세한 접근 제어 서비스를 제공 할 수 있는 XML 기반의 언어이다. XACML은 SAML PDP(Policy Decision Point)의 일부로서 역할을 수행 할 수 있으며 각 정의에 따라 각각의 사용자 별 XML 문서 접근 정책을 수립하고 적용 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 XML기반의 Access Control 표준인 XACML에 대하여 분석하고 적용 방법에 대하여 연구하였다.

In the field of access control, policy conflicts must be solved and various related solutions are being researched and developed. In order to resolve the policy conflict problem, it is necessary to first identify the cause of the conflict, and as a minimum condition, it is necessary to detect the contextual elements of the policy that have influenced the policy evaluation decision. Although the XACML policy language specification provides a way to define this, the policy creator currently has limitations in not clearly describing the causes of conflicts in every contextual elements. In addition, in order to identify the causes of the policy conflict, it is necessary to acquire additional information such as other policy combination algorithms, in addition to these contextual factors. In this paper, we propose an effective method to identify contextual factors, as well as to locate additional information that cause policy conflicts.

In the Internet, an identity service must to obtain permission from a user to allow them to share data with requesting service. For that, the privacy policy, which reflects legal regulations and preferences made by the user, is needed. Also, the management interface that aids the user to make the privacy policy and the PDP system that makes admission control and policy decisions in response to a request from an entity wanting to access the personal information are needed. In this paper, the privacy controller system model handled under the internet Identity management system environment is proposed. The system has the easy interface of policy generation and the efficient policy decision process. The system applies and modifies to the XACML of OASIS group. We propose that the privacy policy is divided into the three policies, which are the user policy, the domain policy and the basic offering policy. To resolve the collision between the policies, we also propose the collision resolution policy.

웹서비스에 대한 높은 관심과 함께 그 실현이 점차 가시화되고 XML로 이루어진 지원 기술들의 전폭적인 지지로 잠재력은 더욱 확대되고 있다. 웹서비스는 기존 웹 기반의 디스플레이에 그쳤던 단순정보 교환을 애플리케이션 차원에서 데이터를 통신할 수 있어 개발 가능성이 무한한 프레임워크로 각광받고 있다. 그러나 현재 자원 관리에서의 효율성 문제가 드러나게 되었고 인증분야와의 접목에서도 한계를 드러내고 있다. XACML은 리소스에 대한 미세한 접근제어를 할 수 있는 XML기반의 언어이다. 접근하려는 리소스는 XML을 사용하여 표현되는 어떠한 객체도 될 수 있으며 XPath나 LDAP과 같은 프로토콜과 함께 바인딩하여 사용될 수도 있다. 보다 효율적인 접근 제어를 위하여 XACML 적용 모델을 연구하였다.

ebXML 프레임워크는 전 세계적으로 폭넓은 지지를 받으며 전자 상거래 표준 프레임워크로 그 영역을 넓혀가고 있는 시점이다. 이에 따라 ebXML의 보안적인 요소가 중요시되는 가운데 인증분야에서도 위험성을 내포하고 있어 각 시스템마다 존재하는 많은 인증 정보관리 문제와 리소스에 대한 접근제어 문제가 부각되고 있다. OASIS에서는 인증관리 문제를 해결하기 위해 SAML이라는 표준 인증 방식을 제시하였고 접근제어를 위해 XACML이라는 표준을 제정하였다. SAML은 XML기반의 표준화된 인증 방식을 취하여 안전성과 확장성뿐만 아니라 인증 간 상호운용성을 제공하는 강력한 기능을 가지고 있으며 XACML은 ebXML 스펙 2.5에서 접근제어를 XACML을 통하여 예를 제시하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 SAML과 XACML을 ebXML 인증 및 접근제어 모델을 연구하고자 한다.
