생산직 기혼여성의 생활시간 분석 (Time Use of Married Female Production Workers)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the real life of married women employed in a manufacturing industry by analysis patterns of their time use. Data for 172 married working women were gathered from the use of face-to-face interview method. The results were shown as follows; 1) Married female production workers spend 8 hours 44 minutes a weekday, and 10 hours 39 minutes a Sunday on physiological activities, and on socio-cultural activities 1 hour 50 minutes(weekday), 5 hours 30 minutes (sunday). 10 hours 22 minutes, 2 hours 23 minutes were consumed for the employed time compared to 3 hours 4 minutes, 5 hours 28 minutes for household labor. 2) Married working women's employed labor time is excessively too long while for leisure and house work time is too short, which means the patterns of their time use are very unbalanced type.

컨테이너 터미널의 적정 안벽능력 분석에 적용되는 계수들에 대한 분석 (An analysis about the coefficient used to estimate the quay capacity at the container terminal)

  • This study aims to analyse the coefficient used to estimate the quay capacity per year at the container terminal. The capacity of the container terminal is composed of the capacity at the quay side and the other working conditions at the back of the quay side. But when we refer the capacity of the container terminal, generally we used capacity as that of the container terminal. To estimate the quay capacity independently of the working conditions at the back of quay side, we calculate the quay capacity as th product of working hours per year, productivity of container crane and relate other coefficients, such that berth utilization, crane utilization and efficiency. So that coefficients are properly defined to reflect the other working conditions. If we calculate the quay capacity by the product of working hours modified by the berth utilization and crane productivity modified by the crane utilization and efficiency, the meaning of that coefficients must be strictly defined. So there could be no confusion to apply that coefficients to calculate the quay capacity. In this study, we exclusively define the meaning of the berth utilization, crane utilization and efficiency according to the internal-meaning of thats in the function to calculate the quay capacity. And compare each coefficients by decomposing the working hours at the terminal.

폐경전 성인직장여성의 혈청 25-Hydroxyvitamin D상태 및 관련인자에 관한 연구 (Serum 25-Hydroxyvitamin D Status and Associated Factors in Premenopausal Working Women)

  • This study was performed to estimate serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D level and to evaluate the relationship between serum 2S-hydroxyvitamin D level and associated factors. The subjects were 61 premenopausal working women aged 30 - 49 y in Busan. The serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D level was measured by radioimmunoassay. Data for physiological characteristics, lifestyle factors, physical activity and nutrient intake were assessed by questionnaire including information about outdoor activity time, daily activity diary and 24 hr recall method. The mean vitamin D intake was 3.12 ug, which corresponded to $62.5\%$ of the Korean RDA. The mean level of serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D was 31.0 ng/mL. Low 25-hydroxyvitamin D (<25 nmol/L) was not found in the subjects. The serum 2S-hydroxyvitamin D level showed positive significant correlations with exercise hours, daily energy expenditure, hours of outdoor activity per weekdays (p < 0.001, P < 0.05, P < 0.05). Exercise hours were found to be the most important determinant of serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D level. Therefore nutritional education for increasing hours of physical activity including indoor and outdoor exercise, is needed for premenopausal working women to increase vitamin D status.

주 40시간 근무제의 도입이 근로시간, 임금 및 고용에 미치는 영향 (The Impacts of the 40 Hour Work Week Standard on Actual Working Hours, Wages and Employment)

  • 본 연구는 2004년부터 점진적으로 실시된 주40시간 근무제, 이른바 '주5일 근무제'의 도입이 근로시간, 임금 및 고용에 미친 효과를 "고용형태별근로실태조사" 원자료를 이용하여 추정하였다. 법정 근로시간 단축이 연도별 산업별 및 사업체 규모별로 단계적으로 적용되었던 점에 착안하여 삼중차감 모형을 사용하였다. 희귀분석 결과, 주 40시간 근무제의 도입으로 실제 근로 시간은 약 43분 단축되었고, 시간당 임금은 약 6.6% 상승한 것으로 나타났으나 신규 고용은 약 2.3%포인트 하락시킨 것으로 나타났다.

커피 브레이크는 성과에 도움이 되는가?: 업무 외적인 활동 관점 (Are Coffee Breaks Good for Performance?: A Perspective on Non-Work-Related Activities)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 직장에서의 업무 외적인 활동에 대하여 조사하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 업무시간 중 업무 외적인 커피 브레이크 및 스마트폰 사용, 그리고 소비한 시간을 보충하기 위한 수당지급 없는 야근이 성과에 미치는 간단한 이론모형을 개발하고 분석하였다. 분석결과, 첫째 업무시간 중 업무외 목적의 오프라인 커피 브레이크는 성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 업무시간 중 업무외 목적의 스마트폰 사용은 성과에 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나, 직장 동료와의 의사소통에서는 성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 셋째, 업무시간 중 업무 외적으로 소비한 시간 보충을 위해 하는 수당지급 없는 야근은 성과에 부정적인 영향을 미쳤다.

맞벌이부부의 가사노동시간과 생활만족도에 관한 연구 (A Study of Dual-Earner Couple′s Household Work Time and Life Satisfaction)

  • This study aims at studying dual-earner couple's household work time and life satisfaction in modern times. To reach this goal, dual-earner couple's variable of society and population, income for working hours, attitude of sex's role and working hours time were classified as individual variable of study model. In the end of 2000, positive analysis was completed through dual-earner couples' frequencies, percentage, means, paired-samples T Test, one-way ANOVA, duncan test, multiple regression and path analysis to 112 Korean couples in 'Research material for comparative analysis of family's time use in Korea and in the United States' performed by Lee, Ki-young, along with 3 person in the end of 2000. The time of household work performance at home at this stage is about 30 hours. 90% of 30 hours was given by housewife who was working for another job. In the aspect of dual-earner couple's life satisfaction, the life satisfaction is a little over the level of average. In variables couple's life satisfaction, wife's life satisfaction was additionally influenced by variable of wife's profession, age difference of couple, wife's household work time husband's household work time and wife's sex-role attitudes in oder. Husband's life satisfaction was perfectly influenced by his level of education, his household work time and wife's sex-role attitudes.

한국 근로자의 요통 유병률과 근로환경의 연관성에 관한 연구 (A study on the relations between Low Back Pain and Working Conditions among Korean Employees)

  • Objectives: This study examines the occurrence of disease resulting from low back pain and factors of working environment meaningfully influencing the occurrence of lumbago as well as analyzes '2nd Korean Working Condition Survey (KWCS)' conducted in 2010 so as to establish the prevention and improvement measures. Methods: The analysis method is that it is to compare the prevalence rate of low back pain according to working environment via odds ratio and to implement the test about the factors having the difference in working environment between low back pain group and normal group through weighted t-test. Results: As a result, it indicates that there is a meaningful difference for prevalence rate of low back pain according to age, status in employment and education level which are socio-demographical factors. The analysis in working hours shows that the period of work is a factor raising the prevalence rate of low back pain rather than weekly working hours. The analysis in the work risk factor indicates that the increase in prevalence rate of low back pain takes place to either workers with repetitive movement and continuously standing posture or those with heavy stress and emotional labour. Conclusions: Workers with low back pain have suffered from accident, depression, anxiety disorder and sleep. The factors in which the prevalence rate of low back pain decrease are to provide information on health and safety and working speed, and enough rest.

아버지의 자녀양육참여와 자녀양육시간 (Fathers' Parenting Participation and Time)

  • The actual time fathers spend in childcare has not increased much in spite of recent attention paid to nurturing their children and changes in the fathers' role. In this study, parenting time is measured by time spent in childcare, shared housework, and shared leisure. In this way, this study seeks to analyze trends in fathers' time spent with children and the factors that influence fathers' participation in parenting. The data source for this study was the 2009 Korean Time Use Survey. The main results of this research are as follows: First, when measuring childcare time as a primary activity, fathers' time spent in parenting averaged 17 minutes on weekdays and 32 minutes on Sundays. This extended to 44 minutes on weekdays and 166 minutes on Sundays when including the secondary childcare time and the shared time with their children while doing housework or leisure. Second, fathers' probability of participating in childcare was higher for fathers who had shorter working hours, younger children, higher spouse average monthly income, and a college or higher education level. The variable that influenced fathers' participation in shared housework on weekdays was working hours. On Sundays, the variables were working hours, age of the youngest child, and the type of occupation. Fathers' participation in shared leisure was influenced by father's working hours, number of children, age of the youngest child, and type of occupation on weekdays. On Sundays, it was influenced by working hours and the age of the youngest child.

직장인의 근로시간 단축에 따른 생활변화와 여가만족도에 관한 연구 (A Study on Life Change and Leisure Satisfaction by Reduction of Working Hours of Office Workers)

  • 본 연구는 직장인의 근로시간 단축에 따른 생활변화와 여가만족도에 관한 연구로서 분석 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 직장인의 근로시간 단축에 따른 생활변화는 남자는 근로시간 단축에 따른 생활변화가 없는(42.4%) 것으로 나타났으나 여자는 개인만족 증대(54.7%)가 높은 것으로 나타났으며 월소득은 200~300만원이 96.1%로 개인만족이 증대하였고 지역은 중소도시, 읍면지역에서 개인만족이 증대되었다. 둘째, 근로시간 단축에 따른 여가만족도는 월소득 300~400만원(43.6%)과 600만원 이상(39.1%)에서는 여가만족도가 다소 높았으나 성별, 연령, 학력, 가족원수, 결혼여부, 종사자 지위별, 지역에는 여가만족도에 변화가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 여가의 활성화는 개인적인 삶에서 매우 중요한 과제로 대두되고 있으나 여가만족이 생활변화에 있어 긍정적으로 전이되고 있어 여가 사회화에 시사점을 제공하였다는 점에서 본 연구의 의의가 있다.

A Study on Hazard Assessment of Employees in New Buildings

  • In order to evaluate the physical and psychological health effects of air pollutants from new building materials, 100 employees who worked in new buildings were given a general health questionnaire, and the prevalence of their subjective complaints was measured. The collected data were classified according to age, gender, smoking status, profession, working time, sleep time, life style, and length of employment. The results obtained were summarized as follows: The THI lie scale scores were significantly higher among the older respondents. Compared to males, females showed a significantly higher level in the depression itemas well asa tendency toward high ratios of physical and psychological complaints. The smoking group showed higher scores regarding health complaints related to most physical and psychological items. Smokers showed significantly increased respiratory organ complaints compared to nonsmokers. Those with a profession showed significantly higher level of nervousness. The group of those working 7 to 10 hours group showed higher rates of complaints in the multiple subjective symptoms and mouth/anus items than the group working less than 2 hours. Those living an irregular life showed a tendency toward higher rates of complaints for most physical and psychological subjective factors. Those who were satisfied with their environments showed significantly lower scores in the mouth/anus, impulsiveness, mental irritability, depression, and nervousness items. In summary, this study shows that the health complaint scores regarding physical and psychological symptoms tended to be higher among the unsatisfied group, the irregular life group, the group who worked long hours, the elderly, smokers, and females. These results can be used to improve the psychosomatic health status and working environments of employees working in new buildings.
