가족친화지원사업의 시행현황과 개선방안 (The Analysis of the Current Conditions of and Suggestions for Family Friendly Support Services)

  • This study aims to suggest the alternative policies and practices which policy makers can introduce and enlarge for work-family balance of employees. For purpose, this study analyzed the regulation of work time and parental leave benefits of employees. And the results of major projects in family friendly support services were examined. Based on these assessment, this study suggested various flexible work arrangements, papa's quota system in parental leaves, various family leaves for family care, establishment of FFSC in every metropolitan area, diversification of consulting project, and enlarging of certification project on family friendly workplace.

일-가정 균형을 위한 보육 및 학교 영역에서의 요구도와 정책: 맞벌이 가정을 중심으로 (The Study on the Need and Related Policy for Work-Family Balance in the Area of Educare and School: Focused on the Dual Worker Families)

  • The purposes of this study were to analyze the needs for the balance of work-family and to provide the related policies for dual worker family. We focused on the life area of educare and school. Data were collected from 197 working mothers who have 1 or more children under age 10. The findings were: 1) after-school programs, holidays on every alternate Saturday, arbitrary no school days were not appropriate to the working parents' everyday life patterns, so the paradigm and practical conditions should be adapted to the needs of working parents. 2) the most working parents depended on the kindergarden, but the parents' satisfaction with the quality of service, time duration, the human resource of educare teacher was not sufficient, so these issues should be discussed more profoundly.

  • Objective: The purpose of this study is to verify the structural relationships among work-family balance, resilience, job satisfaction, parenting self-efficacy and happiness of double income couples with 3~5 years child(ren). Method: This study distributed structured self-reported questionnaires and used the data of 229 couples with 3~5 years child(ren) for an analysis. A confirmatory factor analysis was conducted for checking the measurement unity and a structural equation model was performed to reveal the structural relationship using AMOS software. Results: In a structural relationships among work-family balance, resilience, job satisfaction, parenting self-efficacy and happiness, a total of 13 paths appeared significant. The influence of the husband on the wife was more significant than that of the wife on the husband, and resilience was found to have a strong influence on the happiness of wife and husband. The work-family balance was different for wife and husband. Conclusion: These results suggest that it is necessary to develop various programs and approaches for the development of resilience to promote their happiness. As a policy direction in the future, with a goal of a shift to the paradigm, 'raising children together,' an institutional support should be prepared for the concretization of the formation and practice of the value of co-parenting children.

직장 남성의 우울감에 영향을 미치는 요인: 직장 내 대인관계 스트레스와 가족관계 스트레스를 중심으로 (The Influencing Factors on Working Men's Depression: Focusing on Relationship Stress at Work and Family Relationship Stress)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of relationship stress at work and family relationship stress on working men's depression in order to improve their mental health. Data were collected via questionnaire from 313 white-collar workers living in Seoul, Daejeon and Gwangju. There were significant differences in depression depending on age, spouse, age of child, family size and years of labor. There were positive correlations among depression, relationship stress at work and family relationship stress. The family relationship stress was the most influential factor on depression, followed by relationship stress at work. Family relationship stress had a mediating effect on depression and relationship stress at work. These results showed that employers should manage depression of workers in a family friendly way to reduce the stress in relationship at work and home such as work and family balance policy.

기혼직장인의 가족친화적 조직문화가 가족건강성에 미치는 영향: 일과 삶의 균형의 매개효과를 중심으로 (Effects of Married Employees' Family-Friendly Culture on Family Strength: A Focus on the Mediating Effect of Work-Life Balance)

  • 본 연구는 기혼직장인의 가족친화적 조직문화가 가족건강성과 어떤 관계가 있는지 탐색하고, 그 관계에서 일과 삶의 균형의 매개효과를 분석하고자 하였다. 조사대상자는 20-60대 기혼직장인 213명 이었다. 통계분석은 SPSS 18.0을 사용하여 기술통계, 차이검증, 회귀분석과 매개효과는 Baron & Kenny(1986)의 분석방법을 사용하였다. 분석방법에 따른 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 기혼직장인의 일반적특성과 가족건강성과의 차이를 분석하였다. 일반적 특성 중 연령대가 60대, 40~50대, 20~30대 순으로, 교육수준이 고졸이하보다 대졸과 대학원졸 이상인 경우, 조력자가 없는 경우보다 있는 경우, 가구소득이 400만원 이하보다 601만원 이상인 경우, 직급이 실무자보다 중간관리 이상인 경우 가족건강성이 더 높았다. 둘째, 가족건강성에 영향을 미치는 요인을 알아보기 위해 위계적회귀분석을 실시한 결과 연령이 낮을수록, 가족친화적 조직문화와 일과 삶의 균형 수준이 높을수록 기혼직장인들의 가족건강성 수준이 높았다. 셋째, Baron & Kenny(1986)의 매개효과 분석결과 가족친화적 조직문화와 가족건강성과의 관계에서 일과 삶의 균형은 부분매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 기혼직장인의 가족건강성 향상을 위한 대안으로 가족친화적 조직문화와 일과 삶의 균형이 중요한 요인임을 검증하였다.

가족돌봄휴직·휴가제도가 여성관리자의 일·가정 양립에 미치는 영향 (Impact of Family Care Leave and Vacation Systems on Work-Family Balance of Female Managers)

  • 본 연구는 2019년 개정 및 신설된 가족돌봄휴직·휴가제도가 여성관리자의 일·가정 양립에 미치는 영향을 분석함으로써 제도의 효과를 살펴보고자 한다. 이를 위해 2020년 여성관리자패널 자료 중 제도 사용경험이 있는 유배우 여성관리자 1,040명을 분석대상으로 삼아 성향점수매칭과 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 성향점수매칭 결과, 가족돌봄휴직 사용자 집단의 가족돌봄시간은 미사용자 집단보다 유의하게 적었고, 사용자 집단의 일·가정 갈등 수준과 가정·일 갈등 수준도 미사용자 집단보다 유의하게 높았다. 가족돌봄휴가의 경우 사용자 집단의 조직형태가 국가/지방자치단체인 경우가 미사용자 집단보다 유의하게 높았다. 다중회귀분석 결과, 가족돌봄휴직 사용 경험이 가정·일 갈등에 미치는 정적 영향이 유의미하였다. 본 연구결과는 현행 가족돌봄휴직·휴가제도가 일·가정 관계에 긍정적인 영향을 미치기에는 부족하다는 것을 시사하며, 지속적인 정책효과 검증을 통해 정책을 수정·보완해 나가야 함을 뜻한다.

Time Use Analysis of Married Paid Workers by Employment Types

  • Purpose - This study aims to analyze time use of employees to see how they make a balance between work and family. We tried to analyze time use and time pressure of married paid workers in order to understand their work and family balance. Methodology - Time use was compared by employment types and time pressure groups. We analyzed the factors influencing time pressure, dividing two employment types. The data were selected from the 2009 Korean Time Use Survey. Results - Those who feel time pressure among full-timers spent more time on work and housework and less time on personal care and leisure than those who do not feel time pressure. Logit analysis on time pressure showed that full-timers feel more time pressure than part-timers do. Gender, age, education, income, day-off type, and the presence of preschool children were significant variables on time pressure. Conclusion - These results imply that time use and time pressure for married paid workers are affected by employment types. Flexibility of labor needs to enhance work and family balance for females who have preschool children.

아버지의 일·가정양립 유형과 일·가정양립 양상 (Fathers' work-family reconciliation type and its characteristics)

  • This study focuses on changes in a father's role from one that is work-centered to a work-family balance, analyzing the type of father's work-family reconciliation and to compare the differences among the types. An online survey was conducted with 1,037 fathers of school-aged children. The survey subjects were assigned to a ratio of 1:2:1:1 for fathers who have a child in kindergarten, elementary school, middle school and high school. The fathers' work-family reconciliation type was a variable composed of three categories: work-centered, family-centered, and work-family centered. In the research model of this study, the fathers' work-family reconciliation type was influenced by family characteristics(the age of first child, the number of children, dual earner, and spouse support) and work characteristics(weekly working hours, work flexibility, and leaving work on time). We analyzed characteristics of work-family reconciliation through housework time, child care time, leisure time, family meals, and time spend talking with their children. The results showed that father's work-family reconciliation type was significantly different according to the characteristics such as first child age and spouse support, work characteristics such as weekly working hours and leaving work on time. The time distribution differed significantly depending on the father's work-family reconciliation type. Therefore, a fathers' work-family reconciliation can be considered typified by the interaction of family and work characteristics. This study suggests policy implications for supporting fathers' work-family reconciliation.

간호사신문에 게재된 일-가정 양립 주제분석 (A Thematic Analysis of Nurses' Work-Family Balance in the Korean Nurses Association News)

  • 본 연구는 질적 주제 분석방법을 적용하여 간호사신문에서 간호사의 일-가정 양립을 위한 주제가 어떻게 다루어지고 있는지 조사하였다. 자료 수집은 2012년 9월 14일부터 2015년 2월 10일까지 간호사신문 웹 사이트를 통해 수집하였으며, 분석 대상은 2000년부터 2014년까지의 일-가정 양립 관련 기사 총 473건이었다. 연구결과 일-가정 양립 정부정책, 일-가정 양립을 위한 대한간호협회의 활동 등 2개의 주제와 10개의 하부주제가 도출되었다. 일-가정 양립 정부정책으로는 육아 휴가 정책, 자녀양육 지원정책, 근무제도 개선정책, 가족친화적 문화정책이며, 일-가정 양립을 위한 대한간호협회의 활동으로는 다양한 근무형태 도입을 위한 활동, 24시간 직장보육시설 확충을 위한 활동, 유휴간호인력 지원 활동, 건강한 출산 양육환경 조성 활동, 가족친화적인 직장 환경을 위한 활동, 대체인력을 확보하기 위한 활동으로 도출되었다. 지난 15년간 일-가정 양립을 다룬 기사의 수는 양적으로 증가하는 양상이었으며, 국가적 사건이나 사회 분위기에 따라 그 관심의 정도가 다르게 나타났고, 대한간호협회의 활동이 정부의 정책과 유기적인 관련성을 나타냈다. 간호사신문이 일-가정 양립과 관련하여 앞으로 선도해야 할 방향은 양성평등을 대변하는 젠더관점으로의 전환, 모성보호관련 이행이 취약한 실태나 문제점 등을 심층적으로 공론화하는 등 간호사의 입장을 대변해야 함을 시사한다.

아버지와 자녀의 가족식사 빈도에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Determinants of Family Mealtime Frequency for Fathers with their Children)

  • This study recognizes the changes of the father's role and the importance of family mealtimes as well as examines the individual, family and social contexts surrounding the father's family mealtime. This study analyzed the trend of the father's family mealtime frequency and factors affecting them in order to explore the current conditions of their father's work and family balance through family mealtimes. Data from 492 fathers who have school aged children were collected through an online survey. The overall trend of the frequency of father's family meals showed an average of 2.4 breakfasts and an average of 3.2 dinners per week. The frequency of the father's family meals showed statistically significant differences according to the father's age, children's school age, dual income, weekly working hours, working flexibility, leaving on-time and the priority of work and family. The analysis of hierarchical linear regressions was conducted to determine factors affecting the frequency of father's family mealtime to show that the frequency of father's family mealtime was best explained by father's working conditions and perception variables. Working conditions such as working hours, leaving work on time, working flexibility were significant variables in regards to the father's family mealtime frequency. The father's perception towards parental efficacy, wife's support, and work-family priority were significant factors in regards to the father's family mealtime frequency. This study is meaningful in that it provides basic data on policy making for the compatibility of the father's work and family.
