  • In this paper, we propose an equivalent Wiener-Hopf equation. The proposed algorithm can obtain the weight vector of a TDL(tapped-delay-line) filter and the error simultaneously if the inputs are orthogonal to each other. The equivalent Wiener-Hopf equation was analyzed theoretically based on the MMSE(minimum mean square error) method. The results present that the proposed algorithm is equivalent to original Wiener-Hopf equation. In conclusion, our method can find the coefficient of the TDL (tapped-delay-line) filter where a lattice filter is used, and also when the process of Gram-Schmidt orthogonalization is used. Furthermore, a new cost function is suggested which may facilitate research in the adaptive signal processing area.

The equivalent Wiener-Hopf equation was analyzed theoretically based on the MMSE(minimum mean square error) method. The results present that the proposed algorithm is equivalent to original Wiener-Hopf equation. The new algorithm was applied into the identification of an unknown system for evaluating the performance of the proposed method. We compared the Wiener-Hopf solution with the equivalent Wiener-Hopf solution. The simulation results were similar to those obtained in the theoretical analysis. In conclusion, our method can find the coefficient of the TDL (tapped-delay-line) filter where a lattice filter is used, and also when the process of Gram-Schmidt orthogonalization is used. • This paper presents the methods which obtain the solution of Wiener-Hopf equation by LMS algorithm and get the coefficient of TDL filter in lattice filter directly. For this result, we apply an orthogonal input signal generated by lattice filter into an equivalent Wiener-Hopf equation and shows the scheme that can obtain the solution by using the MMSE algorithm. Conventionally, the method like aforementioned scheme can get an error and regression coefficient recursively. However, in this paper, we can obtain an error and the coefficients of TDL filter recursively. And, we make an theoretical analysis on the convergence characteristics of the proposed algorithm. Then we can see that the result is similar to conventional analysis. Also, by computer simulation, we can make sure that the proposed algorithm has an excellent performance.

  • This paper presents a method for designing an autopilot of the BTT missile using 2DOF Wiener-Hopf control technique to improve tracking performance. Linear controllers are designed based on the linearized models which are obtained from the nonlinear missile dynamic equations at various operating points. The gain scheduling technique is used to implement the final autopilot. A simulation on the flight of missiles is carried out through the use of 6DOF equation program including exact nonlinear equations of the missile and the variations of aerodynamic variables in order to check applicability of the suggested method in real situation.

  • In this study, we analyze the problem of wedge cracks, which are geometrically unsymmetrical in transversely piezoelectric materials. A single concentrated antiplane mechanical load and inplane electrical load are applied at the point of the wedge surface, while one concentrated antiplane load is applied at the crack surface. The crack surfaces are considered as permeable thin slits, where both the normal component of electric displacement and the electric potential are assumed to be continuous across these slits. Using Mellin transform method, the problem is formulated and the Wiener-Hopf equation is derived. By solving the equation, the solution is obtained in a closed form. The intensity factors of the stress and the electric displacement are obtained for any crack length as well as inclined and wedge angles. Based on the results, the intensity factors are independent of the applied electric loads. The electric displacement intensity factor is always dependent on that of stress intensity factor, while the electric field intensity factor is zero. In addition, the energy release rate is computed. These solutions can be used as fundamental solutions which can be superposed to arbitrary electromechanical loadings.

  • A numerous designs of PI controllers have been suggested to solve out trade-off between tracing and regulating problems. We constructed the PI controller system with two-degree-of-freedom that is more analytic and a better approach to a practical one. In the conventional H$_{2}$ design of optimal PI controllers, the cost function includes only the plant output terms due to the divergent problems. Since the platn input temr is not considered in PI controller design, occasionally, the plant input thends to be either very large or saturated. To solve the prior mentioned problems, we employed a mixed $H_2/H_{\infty}$ method that combines the H$_{2}$ design method to decide optimal parameters of PI controller and the $H_2/H_{\infty}$ design method to minimize the maximum amplitude of plant input. The calculation time of the H$_{infty}$ norm was considerably reduced by the simple scalar function obtained by the wiener-hopf factorization of non-scalar functions.

  • This paper deals with a fundamental and classical scattering problem by a finite strip. For the analysis of scattered acoustic field, a “single” integral equation is derived. Firstly, the complexity by considering the effect of the mean flow is alleviated by the introduction of Prandtl-Glauert coordinate and the new dependent variable. Secondly, the difficulty of solving the resultant strongly-coupled integral equations which always appear in this kind of 3-part mixed boundary value problem is solved by observing some good properties of the functions in complex domain and manipulating the equations and variables for the use of those properties. The solution can be obtained asymptotically in terms of gamma function and Whittaker function. One aim of this study is the improvement of methodology for the research using integral equations. The other is the basic understanding of scattering by a finite strip related to the linear cascade model of rotating fan blades.

  • In this study, we deal with a multivariable system which its input and output are coupled. This study presents a method for designing a controller which allows a coupled system to be transformed to a decoupled system in a standard model adopting 2DOF controller. And Wiener-Hopf($H_2$) approach is used so that the designed controller can minimize given cost function.
