Purpose: This study aims to develop and empirically analyze a research model in order to comprehend the relationship among the service quality of market-wholesaler system, re-transaction intention, and recommendation intention of forwarder. Further, we suggest new six factors reflecting the service quality of market-wholesaler system and highlight market expansion of forwarder as a mechanism in the relationship. Research design, data and methodology: The authors developed the new scales measuring the service quality of market-wholesaler system (i.e. trade price, price fluctuation, payment receipt, settlement period, trade information, and customer service) and conducted a cross-sectional survey for 439 forwarders in a wholesale market. And then we performed a series of path analyses to test hypotheses. The hypotheses are as follows. [H1] The service quality of market-wholesaler system will positively affect forwarders' market expansion, [H2] Forwarders' market expansion will positively affect their re-transaction intention, [H3] Forwarders' market expansion will positively affect their recommendation intention, [H4] Forwarders' re-transaction intention will positively affect their recommendation intention. Results: The results showed that all the six factors for the service quality of market-wholesaler system were positively related to market expansion of forwarders. There was a differential effectiveness in the six factors of the service quality. More specifically, the positive effect of customer service factor was the strongest on market expansion of forwarders. And the respective effects of trade price, price fluctuation, settlement period, trade information factors were followed in order. The positive effect of payment receipt factor was the weakest on market expansion of forwarders. Also, market expansion of forwarders was positively related to their re-transaction intention and recommendation intention. Furthermore, market expansion of forwarders was indirectly related to recommendation intention through re-transaction intention as well. Conclusions: The research findings provide important theoretical and practical implications. This study is the first to attempt to test the perception of forwarders for the service quality of market-wholesaler system by developing and using the new scales. Also, there has been a sharp controversy about the effectiveness of market-wholesaler system. The findings support that market-wholesaler system would be activated by empirically verifying the effectiveness of the service quality on the various outcomes.
The purpose of the study are summarized as follows : First, it has researched the possibility of the Distribution Information application in Sea Food Wholesale Market. Second, the effects which the Wholesale Market Company and the Intermediary Wholesaler Corporations can obtain in Sea Food Wholesale Market by building up a Distribution Information are classified into the effects of task, cost, and competition. It has analyzed the influence of these effects in direct and indirect Trust between the Wholesale Market Company and the Intermediary Wholesaler. Third, it has recognized the upcoming problems in Sea Food Wholesale Market by building up a Distribution Information, and it has suggested a plan to make the Distribution Information application successful in Sea Food Wholesale Market. This study has used a questionnaire to verify 5 hypotheses. Research model, factor analysis, correlation relationship analysis. The result of this study are summarized as follows : Building up the Distribution Information influences positively on the effectiveness of task, cost and competitiveness regardless of it being the Wholesale Market Company or the Intermediary Wholesaler corporation. However, the results of this analysis are to verify differences according to the degree of construction of the Distribution Information and the degree of the perception of the problems between the Wholesale Market Company and the Intermediary Wholesaler corporations have shown that there were distinct differences in the degree of computerization and of efforts to build a Distribution Information. Also there were distinct differences according to the degree of perceiving problems relating to building up the Distribution Information and the stages of the Distribution Information between the Wholesale Market Company and the Intermediary Wholesaler corporations. This study suggest three important steps that will help to establish a successful Distribution Information. First, the Wholesale Market Company and the Intermediary Wholesaler corporations should make efforts to increase mutual profits in partnership, and make direct Trust by sharing mutual information. Second, the lack of understanding of the Distribution Information between departments within the company requires educating employees about the Distribution Information. It is necessary to expand the communication networks of the Distribution Information between the Wholesale Market Company and the Intermediary Wholesaler. Third, mutual exchange of Information should be possible to offer systematic exchange of Information between the Wholesale Market Company and the Intermediary Wholesaler corporations.
The purpose of study is to examine how tour wholesaler's relationship characteristics to tour retailer affect trust, commitment, and repurchase intention in the distribution channel of travel industry. There are several detailed purposes of this study. First, this study is to grasp the factors of tour wholesaler's relationship characteristics to tour retailer. Secondly, this study is to examine how tour wholesaler's relationship characteristics to tour retailer affect trust and commitment. Thirdly, this study is to examine how trust on tour wholesaler, which is divided into two levels, firm and salesperson in charge, affects each other and commitment. Fourthly, this study is to examine how trust on tour wholesaler finn and salesperson in charge and commitment affect repurchase intention. Fifthly, this study is to suggest more efficient basis for marketing strategies to C.E.O or officer in charge of decision making of tour wholesaler, and help them to make right decisions. Managerial implications can be drawn from this study. One is that it is recognized that tour wholesaler's relationship characteristics to tour retailer consist of those to tour wholesaler finn such as reputation, physical characteristics, communication and those to salesperson in charge such as expertise, likability, similarity, frequent contact affect trust and commitment positively. Therefore, C.E.O and officer in charge of decision making of tour wholesaler should set up marketing strategies to get positive results at both levels, a finn and a salesperson. The other is that it is important that a tour wholesaler should manage their tour retailer with relationship oriented methods such as building trust, and make every endeavor to retain long term relationship with tour retailer.
In the existing literature, most of the purchasing models were developed only for retailers problem ignoring the constraint of storage capacity of retailers shop/showroom. In this paper, we have developed a deterministic model of wholesaler-retailers' problem of single product. The storage capacity of wholesaler's warehouse/showroom and retailers' showroom/shop are assumed to be finite. The items are transported from wholesaler's warehouse to retailers' Own Warehouse (OW) in a lot. The customer's demand is assumed to be displayed inventory level dependent. Demands are met from OW and that spaces of OW will immediately be filled by shifting the same amount from the Rented Warehouse (RW) till the RW is empty. The time duration between selling from OW and filling up its space by new ones from RW is negligible. According to relative size of the retailers' existing (own) warehouse capacity and the demand factors, different scenarios are identified. Our objectives are to optimize the cost functions of wholesaler and two retailers separately. To solve this problem, a real coded Genetic Algorithm (GA) with roulette wheel selection/reproduction, whole arithmetic crossover and non-uniform mutation is developed. Finally a numerical example is presented to illustrate the results for different scenarios. To compare the results of GA, Generalised Reduced Gradient Method has been used for the problem. Also, a sensitivity analysis has been performed to study the variations of the optimal average cost with respect to the different parameters.
Purposes of this research were to examine characteristics of contractors and the relationship between contractors and wholesalers of apparel products. Influence of such variables on wholesalers' satisfaction was also assessed. Location, reputation and service were factors of contractor characteristics. Dependence, cooperation and power were three factors that were considered for contractor-wholesaler relationship variable. Survey data from 109 wholesalers located in Dongdaemun Fashion Town in Korea was used for analysis. Empirical results confirmed the importance of service factor of contractor characteristics. Service and location of the contractor had positive influence on cooperation. Location had negative influence on power. Reputation had positive direct influence on wholesaler satisfaction. Cooperation between contractors and wholesalers had significant influence on wholesaler satisfaction.
Changes in marketing environment have made it feasible for functions and roles of marketing subjects who participated in marketing routes to be changed. However, there has not been a study to prove it or to deal with newly required functions. Hereupon, this study has specifically investigated and analyzed marketing functions and performance on marketing associates for seafood in Busan in order to identify how marketing functions influenced on marketing performance. Marketing function might differently influence on the performance depending on the difference of business type. Results of verifying the hypothesis are as follows. As for variables that influenced on wholesaler groups, marketing, product development+investment, information-sharing, and trade functions turned out to be influential. Among wholesaler groups, marketing, sorting, collection, market frontier+product development, integral distribution, information-sharing, and finance functions turned out to be influential. In addition to these basic results, another difference industries, restrictive range of activities, the differences in handling goods, such as by correspondence of the results to changes in the distribution environment, from the results of the present study it is possible to guess.

The efficiency of marketing channel of distribution between a sholesaler and a retailer with uncertain characteristics can be improved by influencing the retailer's ordering pattern. The wholesaler with large unit invetory holding cost can offer a large quantity discount tanks to the great benefit which comes from the transfer of part of his inventory to retailer. The retailer's increasing average inventory holding cost can be offset by the quantity discount and by savings of the ordering cost. Conditions under which marketing channel improvement can be possible are derived.
The Act on Distribution and Price Stabilization of Agricultural and Fisheries Product, which specifies rules and regulations on the trading system of fishery products wholesales markets, has been revised several times, mainly in order to improve the trading system. However, there is still a huge gap between the reality and law when it comes to the trading system of the fishery products wholesale market. This study aims to analyze the problems of the trading system of the fishery products wholesale market and to suggest ways to make improvement. The main problem facing the trading system of the fishery products wholesale market is sales on consignment by intermediate wholesalers, and this paper suggests two alternatives to solve the problem. First, intermediate wholesaler can be converted to market wholesalers, but it also entails other problems. The market wholesaler system has never been successfully adopted in the agricultural and fishery products wholesale market, and it is not clear which system is better between the wholesale market corporation and the market wholesaler system. Second, sales on consignment by intermediate wholesalers can be adopted with a positive view toward it. Negotiation transaction can be carried out for sales on consignment as a transaction method under the current Act on Distribution and Price Stabilization of Agricultural and Fisheries Products. However, since the act cannot provide a solution for listing, it is necessary to introduce Japan's negotiated transaction in advance system as a negotiation transaction method.

From the supplier's point of view, we examine the existence of a Pareto superior pricing schedule for one wholesaler with multiple retailers. In the case of multiple retailers, an order quantity pricing schedule should depends on the retailer's underlying characteristics. But identification of each retailer's characteristics may be impossible; rather, the wholesaler knows only the probability distribution of each retailer's characteristics. Perfect price discrimination is impossible because a separate pricing schedule cannot be tailored for each retailer. Some degree of discrimination is possible only by using a non-linear pricing schedule. From this analysis based on the non-linear pricing, we conclude that there is no Pareto superior pricing schedule for the case of multiple retailers.
Korea is a peninsular country surrounded by seas on three sides, and the fishing industry has carried out the service of suppling to the people with important anima protein. The distribution of fishery products has very complicated structures, because the production is in charge of small producers scattering along the coast all over the country, while consumpstion is made by separate homes in areas away from producing district. The relation between these two factors the structures make very complicated. The most typical and special structures of fishery distridution are distinguished in two, that is, one is landing market, the other is inland market. Landing markets have been monopolized by fishermen's cooperatives, providing with landing facilities and building sites. Fish markets played not only an important role in the landing, but distribution and price determination of catches by auction or tender. Inland markets are two types of wholesale market in consuming center, one is the terminal market for urban consumers, the other type is the local market for rural consumers. Fundamental functions of landing markets are gathering, assessment, and distribution functions. Gathering function is in charge of wholesaler in fishery cooperative. Gathering amounts are equal to gathering capacity of wholesaler and transact ability of licensed dealers as shown below model. Gathering amount=f.gathering capacity(=pre price.landing facility.account of wholesaler.distance of fishing ground.conveniency purchasing.home port)=fㆍ transact ability of licensed dealers≒f.population or port, and table 1 indicates these relationship. Assessment and distribution functions are in charge of licensed dealers in consumption side. Assessment function should bring the value in production activity through the auction between the cooperative seller and the licensed dealer as buyer. For fair trade transaction in auction, the free competition is supposed to be a prerequisite among the licensed dealers. The ideal condition for free competition is sameness in the scale of buying amount by licensed delaers, but it is almost impossible to attain its goal in actual marketing.
