A Development of Consumer General Education Program for University Students through Assessment of Need and Actual Condition (대학 소비자교육 교양강좌의 실태조사와 요구도 조사를 통한 교과모형개발)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide a meaningful thought to professionals and administrators of Korea working for Consumer General Education development at their Universities. Also, tips for organizing and meaning Consumer General Education Curriculum effectively are provided. Finally, the study suggests essential elements to improve qualities of Consumer General Education in Korea Universities. This study's method are content analysis through web site and survey. The subjects of this survey were 257 students. The data were collected by questionnaire developed by researcher and analyzed by frequencies, correlation Analysis, One Way Anova, Duncan Test, Factor Analysis, Multiple Regression Analysis. The major findings were as follows: University students's satisfaction level about General Education was low and the needs level about Consumer General Education was high. And the education service quality showed factors to be administrative service element, professor service element, classroom environment element, communication element. And Multiple Regression Analysis on each of the education service quality factors had been significant effects for find out the differences in the degree of satisfaction.

An Empirical Analysis of the Impact of the Institution-based Trust Factors on the Survival of E-commerce Companies in Korea (제도기반 신뢰요소가 한국 전자상거래 기업의 생존에 미치는 영향에 관한 실증 분석 연구)

  • E-commerce in Korea has grown steadily in recent years. E-commerce has provided firms with an effective method to approach potential customers by overcoming geographical and physical barriers. However, despite the rapid growth, many e-commerce businesses closed their businesses and were not able to survive. This study aims to empirically examine the factors that determine the survival of e-commerce businesses in Korea. In particular, this study focuses on the factors related to the notion of institution-based trust that includes delivery, privacy, and security management. This research used the data set about 31,295 e-commerce businesses that have been registered in Seoul. We found that the e-commerce business that does not require extra personal information beyond the standard terms and conditions or provides a feedback mechanism by having an online board to submit a complaint has a higher chance of survival. In addition, the e-commerce business that has a secured web server, shows the specific information about the date of delivery, or provides escrow services is likely to survive longer than others. The research has extended the extant literature on the importance of trust in e-commerce by empirically examining the effects of the institution-based trust factors on the actual survival of e-commerce businesses.

  • Algorithm visualization is useful for program testing, debugging and evaluating, as well as visual aids in education. When teaching algorithms and data structures, showing exact behaviors by graphics or animation is more suitable than just explaining them. Current systems for algorithm animation are limited to a couple of specific applications and need a special environment. In the proposed system, programmer writes source program in C and animator embeds visualization scripts in the appropriate location of the program. Then user can get an animation code in form of SVG and see a graphical representation on the web browser. Generated SVG animation code is platform independent and can also interact with other XML applications or HTML.

  • Electrocardiograph(ECC), one of the major vital signals, is widely used in the hospitals to check a heart disease patient. In tole-medicine information system, If the ECC signal could be acquired at the patient's home and sent to the physician via telecommunication line, the number of visit to the hospital and medical expenses can be reduced dramatically. The tole-medicine information system proposed by this paper is designed to acquire patient's ECC signal by portable ECC terminal at his or her home and to send it to the hospital server via internet. For the mobility of physicians, the patient's real-time data ran be viewed at any internet connected computer as well as server connected terminal.

  • In this study, embodied supervisory system that apply motion detection technique to small web camera and detects watch picture. Motion detection technique that use pixel value of car image that use in existing need memory to store background image. Also, there is sensitive shortcoming at increase of execution time by data process of pixel unit and noise. Suggested technique that compare extracting motion information by block unit to do to have complexion that solve this shortcoming and is strong at noise. Because motion information by block compares block characteristic value of image without need frame memory, store characteristic cost by block of image. Also, can get effect that reduce influence about noise and is less sensitive to flicker etc.. of camera more than motion detection that use pixel value in process that find characteristic value by block unit.

  • In this thesis a shipping broker agent system, which can be executed by a CORBA-based environment using the distributed object technique, CORBA is designed and implemented Nowadays, while the EC system is extensive on the web, legacy host systems have limitations and its capacity-upgrade os required. In order to solve these problems the method that distributes programs into several computer systems can reduce their loads, set low system capacity and minimize network bottleneck. In this thesis using Agent Communication Language(ACL), we propose an agent based prototype and implement an intelligent agent prototype for ships search using CORBA, which can exchange and shiare data between different systems.

EvoSNP-DB: A database of genetic diversity in East Asian populations

  • Genome-wide association studies (GWAS) have become popular as an approach for the identification of large numbers of phenotype-associated variants. However, differences in genetic architecture and environmental factors mean that the effect of variants can vary across populations. Understanding population genetic diversity is valuable for the investigation of possible population specific and independent effects of variants. EvoSNP-DB aims to provide information regarding genetic diversity among East Asian populations, including Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. Non-redundant SNPs (1.6 million) were genotyped in 54 Korean trios (162 samples) and were compared with 4 million SNPs from HapMap phase II populations. EvoSNP-DB provides two user interfaces for data query and visualization, and integrates scores of genetic diversity (Fst and VarLD) at the level of SNPs, genes, and chromosome regions. EvoSNP-DB is a web-based application that allows users to navigate and visualize measurements of population genetic differences in an interactive manner, and is available online at [http://biomi.cdc.go.kr/EvoSNP/].

  • 외부 데이터베이스를 사용해서 서비스하는 스마트폰 어플리케이션은 네이티브 앱과 모바일 웹을 병행하여 서비스 한다. 일반적인 어플리케이션 환경에서는 외부 데이터베이스에 리소스 및 연산 결과 등의 모든 정보를 담아 두고 접근하여 활용하는 방식을 사용하였다. 반면에 스마트폰 어플리케이션 환경에서 네이티브 앱을 활용하면 디바이스 내부에 외부 데이터베이스의 정보 및 리소스를 저장하여 활용한다. 이 경우 네이티브 앱에서 연산을 수행하고 변경되는 데이터가 발생하면 외부 데이터베이스에 접근하여 업데이트를 수행한다. 그 이유는 병행 접근이 가능한 서비스의 경우 차후에 현재 접근한 네이티브 앱이 아닌 모바일 웹으로 접근하였을 때를 대비해서 최근의 데이터를 항상 유지해야 하기 때문이다. 많은 사용자를 보유한 서비스의 경우 빈번히 발생하는 데이터 업데이트 문제로 많은 자원 소모가 발생된다. 본 논문에서는 앞서 언급한 문제를 해결하고 네이티브 앱과 모바일 웹간의 데이터 연동을 위하여 외부 데이터베이스의 접근을 최소화 하는 기법을 제안한다. 실시간으로 사용자들끼리 정보를 주고받아 상호작용하는 서비스의 빈도가 상당히 낮거나 없는 스마트폰 어플리케이션 환경에서는 서버 접근을 최소화 하는 것이 좋은 방법이다. 제안의 핵심은 네이티브 앱과 모바일 웹의 기본적인 접속 정보만 외부 데이터베이스에 업데이트하여 차후 접속하는 타입이 현재와 다른 경우에만 최근에 변경된 데이터를 외부 데이터베이스에 업데이트하여 서버의 부하를 최소화 하는 것이다. 이 기술을 활용하면 서비스 업체의 경우 서버 유지비용을 낮출 수 있으며 사용자는 빈번히 일어나는 서버와의 통신에 소요되는 비용 및 끊김 현상으로 인한 불편함을 최소화할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

  • In this paper, we have presented the implementation plan for the Server interface and how to implement the Client GUI interface of a form you can use Android considerations and ERP Interface methods available in mobile devices, with iOS. It provides in the form of Web services using TCP / IP, how to handle the data, communication of Client and Server in mobile devices, coordination of ERP that can be used in mobile devices by presenting how to send in XML format it presented a new method which can be performed more efficiently.
