  • We are easily supposed to think that outdoor EE can help make Eco-Sense, furthermore 'Eco' means nature and natural resource itself. Relatively we are likely to think indoor EE is something theoretical or knowledge-oriented. It comes from our strong beliefs going into nature would be best choice for feeling Eco-mind. But every place in our daily life could be space for finding Eco-feeling(mind), as far as the relation to life in there. No life without ecological relation, so firstly we need to be rethink Eco-feeling could be enough trained in daily life, our EE trends that have distinguished between indoor and outdoor should be rearranged, going there is just for when we unavoidably need to go for outdoor experience. So I focus on two special causes bringing out these biases, 1st Environmental management-thinking, which has been passed over this trend under the name of training environmentally responsible citizen through Awareness, Knowledge, Skill and Attitudes. 2nd important cause is cultural metaphors, which means our thinking is fixed into some patterns, losing cultural thinking diversity, although eco-culture in our daily life has been figured our daily life out as ecological phenomenon hermeneutically. To illustrate this problematic trends, this paper will introduce theories of Bateson G. and Bowers C.A. mainly, who insist fixed pattern-thinking bound for environmental management could be obstacles to make students see and have Ecological intelligence in their mind throughout daily life. This paper will focus on how to feel Eco-mind in our daily life through cultural experience. Representative way for this is to research on rice paddy eco-system and rice culture.

  • In this paper, we propose a design process of 'personalized' classification with soft computing techniques. Based on human's thinking way, a construction methodology for personalized classifier is mentioned. Here, two fuzzy similarity measures and ensemble of classifiers are effectively used. As one of the possible applications, facial expression recognition problem is discussed. The numerical result shows that the proposed method is very useful for on-line learning, reusability of previous knowledge and so on.

  • Several seismic design standards for fill dams adopted in Japan USA and Korea are reviewed in this study. The review on those standards is tried to provide a thinking way for a new seismic design standard which is urgently requested by the government I. e. the Ministry of Construction & Transportation and the Ministry of Science & Techniology. This study suggest that as a new seismic design standard of fill dam including concrete face rockfill dam(CFRD) the modified earthquake intensity method based on dynamic analysis be adopted in Korea while the dynamic analysis method should be used in evaluatiing the performance of fill dams precisely.

  • Secondary mineral deposits of gypsum, mirabilite, thenardite, and cristpbolite have long been known and, in fact, are quite common in the lava deposits tubes of southwest idaho. Until recently, calcium carbonate were only found in a few tubes in very small amounts and were though to be quite rare. The recent ‘rediscovery’ of Henlen's Hidden Hide -A way lava tube has significantly changed this thinking. The deposits in the lava tube are not only quite extensive but extremely varied in structure. As this is a very recent discovery, only basic preliminary work will be presented in this paper. It is hoped this will stimulate interest for further and more intensive study of the lava tubes of southwestern idaho.

  • The cinema of the digital age remediates digital media not only its technology but also its storytelling, image and even its way of thinking. This paper examines the spatial storytelling of cinema in digital age. In order to analyze the remediation aspects, this research applies and reconstructs the concepts of 'spatial stories' of Michel de Ceteau.

  • We study mathematization of natural thinking and some materials developed in geometric construction of regular n-polygons. This mathematization provides a nice model for illustrating interesting approaches to trigonometric functions and trigonometric ratios as well as their inter-connections. Thereby, results of this paper will provide the procedure of the development for these concepts in natural way, which will be helpful for understanding background knowledges.

  • Data mining can be either directed or undirected. One way of thinking about it is that we use undirected data mining to recognize relationship in the data and directed data mining to explain those relationships once they have been found. Several data mining techniques have received considerable research attention. In this paper, we propose an algorithm for discovering association rules as directed data mining and applying them to classification. In the first phase, we find frequent closed itemsets and association rules. After this phase, we construct the decision trees using discovered association rules. The algorithm can be applicable to customer relationship management.

  • The 2015 revised science curriculum and NGSS (Next Generation Science Standard) suggest computational thinking as an inquiry skill or competency. Particularly, concern in computational thinking has increased since the Ministry of Education has required software education since 2014. However, there is still insufficient discussion on how to integrate computational thinking in science education. Therefore, this study aims to prepare a way to integrate computational thinking elements into scientific inquiry by analyzing the related literature. In order to achieve this goal, we summarized various definitions of the elements of computational thinking and analyzed general problem solving process and scientific inquiry process to develop and suggest the model. We also considered integrated problem solving cases from the computer science field and summarized the elements of the Computational Thinking-Scientific Inquiry (CT-SI) model. We asked scientists to explain their research process based on the elements. Based on these explanations from the scientists, we developed 'Problem-finding' CT-SI model and 'Problem solving' CT-SI model. These two models were reviewed by scientists. 'Problem-finding' model is relevant for selecting information and analyzing problems in the theoretical research. 'Problem solving' is suitable for engineering problem solving process using a general research process and engineering design. In addition, two teachers evaluated whether these models could be used in the secondary school curriculum. The models we developed in this study linked with the scientific inquiry and this will help enhance the practices of 'collecting, analyzing and interpreting data,' 'use of mathematical thinking and computer' suggested in the 2015 revised curriculum.
