누적행렬을 이용한 ( k, n) 시각암호의 새로운 구성 (New Construction for Visual Cryptography Using the Cumulative Matrix)

  • 복잡한 암호학적 연산 없이 인간의 시각만으로 비밀정보를 직접 복원할 수 있는 시각암호는 영상형태의 비밀 정보를 n개의 랜덤한 영상(슬라이드)으로 분산시킬 때, 화소가 확장되면서 영상의 크기가 커지고 휘도가 떨어지는 문제점이 있다. 따라서 화장 화소의 수를 줄이고 휘도를 개선시키는 연구가 요구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 n개의 슬라이드 중 k개를 겹치면 비밀정보를 복원할 수 있는 (k, n) 시각암호론 위하여 누적행렬에 따라 기저행렬을 생성하는 새로운 구성법을 제안한다. k가 홀수일 때 그 구성이 완전하며, k가 짝수일 때는 복수의 휘도를 허용함으로서 특별한 쌍의 최대 휘도를 높일 수 있는 방식이다. 제안 방식은 기존방식 중에서 최량의 휘도를 달성하는 Droste방식에 비하여 간단한 구성이면서 평균 휘도가 개선됨을 보인다. 또한, 일반 접근구조를 위한 기저행렬의 구성이 가능함을 보인다.

Novel Intent based Dimension Reduction and Visual Features Semi-Supervised Learning for Automatic Visual Media Retrieval

  • Sharing of online videos via internet is an emerging and important concept in different types of applications like surveillance and video mobile search in different web related applications. So there is need to manage personalized web video retrieval system necessary to explore relevant videos and it helps to peoples who are searching for efficient video relates to specific big data content. To evaluate this process, attributes/features with reduction of dimensionality are computed from videos to explore discriminative aspects of scene in video based on shape, histogram, and texture, annotation of object, co-ordination, color and contour data. Dimensionality reduction is mainly depends on extraction of feature and selection of feature in multi labeled data retrieval from multimedia related data. Many of the researchers are implemented different techniques/approaches to reduce dimensionality based on visual features of video data. But all the techniques have disadvantages and advantages in reduction of dimensionality with advanced features in video retrieval. In this research, we present a Novel Intent based Dimension Reduction Semi-Supervised Learning Approach (NIDRSLA) that examine the reduction of dimensionality with explore exact and fast video retrieval based on different visual features. For dimensionality reduction, NIDRSLA learns the matrix of projection by increasing the dependence between enlarged data and projected space features. Proposed approach also addressed the aforementioned issue (i.e. Segmentation of video with frame selection using low level features and high level features) with efficient object annotation for video representation. Experiments performed on synthetic data set, it demonstrate the efficiency of proposed approach with traditional state-of-the-art video retrieval methodologies.

  • Individuals with visual impairments face numerous challenges in their daily lives, with navigating streets and public spaces being particularly daunting. The inability to identify safe crossing locations and assess the feasibility of crossing significantly restricts their mobility and independence. Globally, an estimated 285 million people suffer from visual impairment, with 39 million categorized as blind and 246 million as visually impaired, according to the World Health Organization. In Saudi Arabia alone, there are approximately 159 thousand blind individuals, as per unofficial statistics. The profound impact of visual impairments on daily activities underscores the urgent need for solutions to improve mobility and enhance safety. This study aims to address this pressing issue by leveraging computer vision and deep learning techniques to enhance object detection capabilities. Two models were trained to detect objects: one focused on street crossing obstacles, and the other aimed to search for objects. The first model was trained on a dataset comprising 5283 images of road obstacles and traffic signals, annotated to create a labeled dataset. Subsequently, it was trained using the YOLOv8 and YOLOv5 models, with YOLOv5 achieving a satisfactory accuracy of 84%. The second model was trained on the COCO dataset using YOLOv5, yielding an impressive accuracy of 94%. By improving object detection capabilities through advanced technology, this research seeks to empower individuals with visual impairments, enhancing their mobility, independence, and overall quality of life.

  • In the post-information era, most of technologies have a visual part, or at least some functions related to visualization. It is also one of the popular means of presenting materials in education area. However, despite its popularity, the impact of visualization on the effectiveness of learning still remains controversial. Even more controversial is its usefulness in developing creativity, which is one of the most important skills for today's employee. The authors considered the use of visualization as a tool for the development of children's creativity on the example of learning video games, in particular, ClassCraft to distinguish features that, from the point of view of psychology, may lead to developing creativity even being not useful for educational purposes. It is concluded that video games useful for learning may have features, that are inappropriate in formal educational context, but important to develop creative thinking.

BPEJTC를 이용한 광 비쥬얼 크립토그래피 (Optical Visual Cryptography based on Binary Phase Exctraction JTC)

  • 비쥬얼 크립토그래피는 암호법에서 중요한 정보를 암호화하여 복수 회원에게 분산시킨 후 회원의 합의에 의하여 해독이 가능하게 하는 thresholding scheme을 디지털 시스템인 아닌 인간의 시각 시스템으로 해독이 가능하게 하였다. 그러나 표현의 한계로 인하여 몇 가지 문제점을 지니고 있었다. 이후 인간의 시각을 대신하여 레이져를 사용하는 광 비쥬얼 크립토그래피가 제안되어 광학 시스템에 암호법을 적용할 수 있게 되었다. 그러나 이 시스템은 기존의 비쥬얼 크립토그래피의 문제점을 완전히 극복하지 못함으로 인하여 또 다른 문제를 발생하였다. 이 것은 데이터 처리 시스템을 시각에서 광학으로 전환하는 과정에서 발생하였으므로 문제의 분석과 해결 역시 광학적으로 접근하는 것이 타당하다. 본 논문에서는 joint transform correlator를 이용하여 광 비쥬얼 크립토그래피에서 발생하는 잡음의 정도와 안정성을 주파수 관점에서 분석하였다.

  • 정보기술 및 이동통신의 발전과 디지털 기기의 기능의 발달로 인해 디지털 기기의 보급이 활발해지면서 모바일 정보 기기의 보급이 늘고 있다. 대표적인 모바일 정보 기기로는 모바일폰이 있다. 모바일폰은 다양하고 편리한 기능을 가지고 있지만, 단말기용 바이러스 확산, 통신서버의 해킹, IP Spoofing 공격 등과 같은 보안 사고가 발생하는 문제점도 있다. 이러한 문제는 사회 질서를 파괴하고 혼란을 초래하는 범죄로서 인식되고 있다. 모바일폰 관련 범죄에 대해서는 법적인 연구가 부족하고, 수사 관점에서도 복사나 이동, 삭제가 쉬운 디지털 자료의 특성 때문에 객관적인 증거임을 보장하기 위한 포렌식 증거의 무결성 입증이 필수적이다. 뿐만 아니라, Mobile IP는 이동에 대한 비밀성과 데이터에 대한 무결성을 보장할 수 있어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 디지털 포렌식 기법에 대해 소개하고, 모바일 포렌식 구조를 설계하여 실험에 적용함으로써 데이터 분석을 통해 얻은 해쉬값을 Mobile IP의 헤더 부분에 사용자 인증 옵션으로 사용하여 이동통신에서 발생할 수 있는 여러 가지 보안 문제들 가운데 Mobile IP Spoofing을 방지하기 위한 방법을 제안한다.

Visual SLAM 기반의 모바일 증강현실 시스템 구축 (Building a Mobile AR System Based on Visual SLAM)

  • The SLAM market is growing rapidly with advances in Machine Learning, Drones, Augmented Reality technologies. However, due to the absence of an open source-based SLAM library for developing AR content, most SLAM researchers are required to conduct their own research and development to customize SLAM. In this paper, we propose an opensource-based Mobile Markerless AR System by building our own pipeline based on Visual SLAM. To implement the Mobile AR System of this paper, it uses ORB-SLAM3 and Unity Engine and We experimented with running our system in a real environment and confirming it in the Unity Engine's Mobile Viewer. Through this experimentation, we can verify that the Unity Engine and the SLAM System are tightly integrated and communicate smoothly. Also, we expect to accelerate the growth of SLAM technology through this research.

  • A new evaluation method which named 'Security Viewing Angle Factor (SVAF)' was suggested for VIC (Viewing-angle Image Control) technology to quantify a visual hiding performance of LCD. Currently, Contrast Ration (CR) is the general method to evaluate VIC technology. However, CR shows a significant difference when compared with the result of human visual system. Furthermore, a perceptional evaluation method and its conditions were established.

A Model-Based Image Steganography Method Using Watson's Visual Model

  • This paper presents a model-based image steganography method based on Watson's visual model. Model-based steganography assumes a model for cover image statistics. This approach, however, has some weaknesses, including perceptual detectability. We propose to use Watson's visual model to improve perceptual undetectability of model-based steganography. The proposed method prevents visually perceptible changes during embedding. First, the maximum acceptable change in each discrete cosine transform coefficient is extracted based on Watson's visual model. Then, a model is fitted to a low-precision histogram of such coefficients and the message bits are encoded to this model. Finally, the encoded message bits are embedded in those coefficients whose maximum possible changes are visually imperceptible. Experimental results show that changes resulting from the proposed method are perceptually undetectable, whereas model-based steganography retains perceptually detectable changes. This perceptual undetectability is achieved while the perceptual quality - based on the structural similarity measure - and the security - based on two steganalysis methods - do not show any significant changes.
