6시그마 기법을 적용한 인천항 항만하역 재해예방 대책에 관한 연구 (A Study on Analysis and DMAIC Preventive Operations for Cargo Handling Accidents In Inchon Port)

  • Many countries of the world is driving forward development of large-scale hub port. They are now pushing ahead with setting up of effective marketing strategies to survive in keen competitions of the 21st century port industry. The port is of ever increasing importance for the bridge connecting sea and road transportation in handling international cargoes. The port, differently from general working places, is a closed area required for security, customs, and quarantine procedures. The loading and unloading is being done differently by ports, cargoes, and ships. To do loading and unloading, a lot of equipment and different types of labor are required, which flow is complicated and safe management is essential. As above mentioned the port is very unique and very deteriorated working place in its working environment. The purpose of this study is to propose ways to reduce and prevent from port accidents. As first step to do this, we have collected 923 accidents happened at Incheon Port during the period of 1994 to 2003. We have thoroughly analyzed characteristics, harmfulness, and risk of the loading/unloading they have done, as well as the accident frequency and relationship between the accidents. As second step to further analyze, We have employed DMAIC technology, an advanced process of 6 sigma presently in spotlight as the best program for management innovation. This analysis results in recognition of important accident characteristics, causes and effects analysis, critical causes of accident, and suggestions to decrease accidents.

토석류 재해발생 시 레질리언스 강화를 위한 연구 (The Study for Enhancing Resilience to Debris Flow at the Vulnerable Areas)

  • 지구 온난화로 인한 기후변화는 슈퍼 태풍의 발생빈도를 높이고 산지에서 토석류와 같은 다양한 형태의 토사재해를 야기한다. 본 연구는 태풍 등급에 따른 토석류 발생량 및 강우특성의 가중치에 따른 토석류 거동을 평가한 것이다. 토석류 해석은 시간 변화에 대한 유한차분법을 적용하였다. 태풍의 범주가 클수록 토석류 유량의 peak 값이 크고 도달시간도 빠르게 나타났다. 강수특성 가중치가 큰 경우 fluctuation 진폭이 크고 밴드폭이 넓게 나타났다. 경사면의 각도가 큰 경우 2~2.5배 이상 상승하였고, 토석류 유량의 fluctuation의 변동성이 확대되었다. 토석류의 유속은 모두가 급속도(Very rapid)에 해당하는 클래스에 속하였고, 토석류의 침식 또는 퇴적 속도의 분포는 초기부터 침식의 크기가 커졌으며 대규모의 침식이 발생하고 하류로 유하하는 것을 나타냈다. 이상에서 본 연구의 결과는 토석류 재해의 예측 및 구조물적 대책, 재해 취약지역에서 레질리언스 강화를 위한 대책을 세우는 데 중요한 정보를 제공할 것이다.

선박 연돌 형상이 배기가스 흐름에 미치는 영향과 연돌 설계 (CFD interpretation of gas flow around Ship's Funnel and Optimum Design Criterion)

  • Exhaust gases of a vessel from a main engine, a diesel generator and an incinerator contain very harmful substances like soot, $SO_2$ and NOx. Careful design of funnel shape is required to prevent those harmful exhaust gases from influencing on accommodation and a fan room. Meanwhile, the exhaust gases are also hot enough to damage electronic devices like radar. Therefore the funnel design should be considered so that electronic devices are not directly exposed to the exhaust gas in the strong stern wind. This study may propose guidelines of optimum design criterion for the anti-thermal damage design of the electronic devices and anti-recirculating design of harmful exhaust gas near the accommodation. From CFD analyses, we can understand that the major factors affecting the exhaust gas dispersion are the large scale mixing by separation vortices and the sluggish flow in the recirculation region. We hope that the funnel flow analysis around ship's funnel is used for practical optimum funnel design to minimize the exhaust gas dispersion by adjusting the funnel shape, the position of the exhaust pipe, the shape of bulwark, the exhaust direction of air ventilated an engine room and the angle of the exhaust pipe.

LARGE SCALE FINITE ELEMENT THERMAL ANALYSIS OF THE BOLTS OF A FRENCH PWR CORE INTERNAL BAFFLE STRUCTURE

  • The internal core baffle structure of a French Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR) consists of a collection of baffles and formers that are attached to the barrel. The connections are done thanks to a large number of bolts (about 1500). After inspection, some of the bolts have been found cracked. This has been attributed to the Irradiation Assisted Stress Corrosion Cracking (IASCC). The $Electricit\acute{e}$ De France (EDF) has set up a research program to gain better knowledge of the temperature distribution, which may affect the bolts and the whole structure. The temperature distribution in the structure was calculated thanks to the thermal code SYRTHES that used a finite element approach. The heat transfer between the by-pass flow inside the cavities of the core baffle and the structure was accounted for thanks to a strong thermal coupling between the thermal code SYRTHES and the CFD code named Code_Saturne. The results for the CP0 plant design show that both the high temperature and strong temperature gradients could potentially induce mechanical stresses. The CPY design, where each bolt is individually cooled, had led to a reduction of temperatures inside the structures. A new parallel version of SYRTHES, for calculations on very large meshes and based on MPI, has been developed. A demonstration test on the complete structure that has led to about 1.1 billion linear tetraedra has been calculated on 2048 processors of the EDF Blue Gene computer.

  • Near-wake flow field of a circular cylinder is studied by means of a cinematic PIV system with high sampling rate and large internal memory block. Experiments are conducted in a closed-cycle water tunnel system and a cross-correlation algorithm in conjunction with FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) analysis and an offset correlation technique is used for vector processing. With the help of very high sampling frequency compared to the shedding frequency, it is possible to obtain phase-averaged information of the three-dimensional wake, even though the shedding is not forced but natural. Phase-locked vortical structures observed simultaneously from the spanwise and cross-stream planes are displayed in the wake-transition regime where fine-scale secondary vortices have a spanwise wavelength or around one diameter. Spatial relations and temporal evolutions of the primary Karman vortex and the secondary vortex are also discussed schematically.

토석류 규모 산정과 영향인자와의 상관성 분석 (Estimation of Magnitude of Debris Flow and Correlation Analysis Between Influencing Factors)

  • 본 연구에서는 2006년부터 2013년 까지 강원도 영서 인근 지역의 토석류 피해지역 43개소에 대한 현장조사 결과를 바탕으로 토석류 규모를 산정하고 영향인자가 토석류 규모에 미치는 상관성 분석을 실시하였다. 토석류의 규모는 발생지역별로 큰 차이를 보이나 계곡형이 사면형보다 약 6.5배 큰 것으로 조사되었으며 계곡형 발생부의 토석류 규모는 전체의 약 5% 정도의 규모인 것을 확인하였다. 침식률은 계곡형에서 전체 토석류 발생량이 $10,000m^3$ 보다 큰 대규모인 경우 $19m^3/m$, $10,000m^3$ 보다 작은 경우 $8m^3/m$의 값을 갖고, 사면형은 $5m^3/m$로 산정되었다. 토석류 규모의 영향인자에 대한 상관성 분석결과, 토석류 유하부의 길이와 폭은 상관성이 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 평균경사와 침식 깊이는 상관성이 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 침식깊이는 규모와 상관성 없이 0.5~2.6m의 범위로 Ikeya(1981)가 제안한 값과 유사하였다. 연속강우량, 최대시간강우량 등 토석류 유발강우와 토석류 규모는 상관성이 낮은 것으로 분석되었다.

고속 스위칭에 의한 송전선로 과부하 해소 연구 (A Study on the Transmission Overload Relief by Fast Switching)

  • Because of computational burden and complex topology of substation, a transmission overload relief using circuit-breaker switching was very complex and difficult. However, a on-line algorithm for reducing the overloads in transmission lines has made progress due to the advance of IT technology. This paper describes the methodology for alleviating the overloads in transmission lines by circuit-breaker switching. First, the severe contingency lists and substations were selected from the results of contingency analysis. Then the switch combinations are determined using circuit-breakers of the selected substation. The topology changes are limited to equipment outage, bus split, island split, bus merge and island merge. Finally, the fast screening and full analysis methods are used to analyze the overload in transmission lines. To verify the performance of the proposed methodology, we performed a comprehensive test for both test system and large-scale power systems. The results of these tests showed that the proposed methodology can accurately alleviate the overloads in transmission lines from online data and can be applied to on-line applications.

  • 개인정보의 유통 현황을 분석하고 파악하는 일은 개인정보가 집중되는 개인정보처리자에 대한 관리와 대응 차원에서 매우 중요한 이슈이다. 본 논문은 개인정보처리자가 인터넷 홈페이지 등을 통해 공개해야 하는 개인정보처리방침 데이터와 네트워크 이론을 결합하여 개인정보의 유통 구조를 분석하는 방법을 제시한 최초의 연구이다. 연구 결과 개인정보 유통 네트워크는 방향성과 가중성을 가지는 대규모 네트워크이며, 역동성, 군집성, 중심성, 복잡성, 창발성 등의 네트워크 특성을 가진다. 또한 개인정보가 집중되는 개인정보처리자를 식별 가능한 것으로 분석 되었다. 이를 통해 개인정보 유통 현황 및 개인정보가 집중되는 개인정보처리자를 보다 과학적인 방법으로 관리 할 수 있으며, 개인정보보호 규제 정책의 성과를 모니터링 및 제고할 수 있다.

Analysis of Ship Groundings on Soft Sea Beds

  • The consequences associated with ships running aground depend very much on the soil characteristics of the sea bed and the geometrical shape of the ship bow. The penetration into the sea bed depends on these factors and the penetration is an important factor for the ship motion because it influences the ship heave and pitch motions as well as the friction between the ship and the soil. In this paper a rational calculation model is presented for the sea bed soil reaction forces on the ship bottom. The model is based on the assumption that the penetration of the ship bow generates a flow of pore water through the grain skeleton of the soil. The flow is governed by Darcy\`s law and it is driven by the pressure of the pore water at the bow. In addition to this pore water pressure, the bow is subjected to the effective stresses in the grain skeleton at the bow surface. These stresses are determined by the theory of frictional soils in rupture. Frictional stresses on the bow surface are assumed to be related to the normal pressure by a simple Coulomb relation. The total soil reaction as a function of velocity and penetration is found by integration of normal pressure and frictional stresses over the surface of the bow. The analysis procedure is implemented in a computer program for time domain rigid body analysis of ships running aground and it is verified in the paper through a comparison of calculated stopping lengths, effective coefficients of friction, and sea bed penetrations with corresponding experimental results obtained by model tests as well as large, scale tests.

  • 저자는 기존의 연구에서 대용량-비선형성을 가지는 유체의 최적화를 수행하기 위해 몇 가지 강력한 방법들을 제시한 바 있다. 즉, 최적화 과정에서 수렴성을 높이기 위해 step by step기법을 사용하였고, 또한 수렴속도를 높이기 위하여 최적화이터레이션 과정에서 얻어지는 민감도정보를 이용하여 시스템 평형방정식의 해석을 위한 좋은 초기치를 제공하는 방법과, 평형방정식을 구속조건으로 사용하는 동시기법(simultaneous technique)에서 착안하여 해석과 최적화 수렴 판정치를 조작하는 방법을 제시한 바 있다. 그러나 그들 기법은 기본적으로 유사뉴턴법에 기본을 두고 있다. 현재까지 최적화에서 SQP기법을 사용할 때는 정확한 헤시안 매트릭스의 유도가 매우 까다롭고 힘들기 때문에 유사뉴턴법을 사용하고 있는 실정이다. 그러나 3차원 문제와 같이 더욱 큰 용량의 문제를 위해서는 진정한 의미에서의 뉴턴법, 트루 뉴턴법(true Newton method)을 사용할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 트루 뉴턴법을 사용하기 위해 헤시안 매트릭스의 정확치를 얻는 과정을 유도하고 이를 기본으로 트루 뉴턴법을 이용한 최적화 루틴을 만들었다. 그리고 이를 3차원 문제에 적용하여 그 효과를 검증하였다.
