모바일용 2D Vector Graphics에 효율적인 Rasterizer 설계 (Effective design of 2d vector graphics rasterizer for mobile device)

  • 본 논문에서는 OpenVG Specification에서 제안한 파이프라인을 기능별, 혹은 연산별로 그룹화 하여 하드웨어 구현에 적합한 새로운 파이프라인을 제안하였다. 래스터라이저에서는 스캔라인 알고리즘과 엣지 플래그 알고리즘의 장점들을 포함하는 스캔라인 엣지 플래그 알고리즘을 구현하여 적용하였으며, Non-Zero 룰을 만족하기 위해 엣지의 방향에 따라 Winding 횟수를 기록하기 위한 추가 버퍼를 이용하였다. 또한, 래스터라이저는 안티 앨리어싱을 위해 슈퍼 샘플링 과정을 수행한다. 액티브 엣지 생성 시 클리핑을 동시에 수행하여 이후 과정에서의 불필요한 연산을 줄였고, 액티브 엣지들의 정렬을 수행하지 않는 방법을 사용하여 처리 속도를 향상 시켰다. 본 연구에서 설계된 OpenVG Rasterizer는 크로노스 그룹에서 제공하는 샘플 이미지들을 사용하여 검증하였다.

형광체 종류와 조성비에 따른 고연색 백색 LED의 색품질 평가 (Color Quality Evaluation of High Color Rendering White LEDs According to Phosphor Types and Composition Ratio)

  • Eight types of LED packages were manufactured according to the type and composition ratio of phosphors by using commercially available white LED phosphors. CRI (Ra), a conventional color quality evaluation method was evaluated by using manufactured white LED; the Rf, Rg, color vector graphic, and color distortion graphic were evaluated with a new method, IES TM-30-15. The results of the evaluation confirmed that the new method compensated for the disadvantages of CRI, which was found to be inadequate when the color was saturated. The added evaluation index identified the chroma variation and color change. Furthermore, the study showed that the changes of Rf and Rg are small when controlling phosphors based on CRI, questioningthe necessity of identifyingchroma variation and color change.

  • This paper presents a laser cutting of 2D image. 2D image in pixel graphic format is converted into vector graphic image by image processing. Bitmap graphics are made easily, but can not being used in application works for geometry transition. The Sobel's Edge detection method is used to find boundary points on 2D image. The points are fitted into curves with sampling and filtering. Sampling can provide efficient computation and filtering reconstuct features in image. The NC code is generated on MURBS curve of the points. Also, the offset of contour and cutting conditions are considered.

  • To propose the construction of architectural interior design and communication using graphic, web3D, it was studied the kind and character of various representation methods that can be embodied in an architectural interior design on the web, and looks into whether these ways can be adapted to an architectural interior design process. Especially, the use of the current techniques on graphic and CAD data give the most suitable effect by using the integrated data such as vector animation, an interaction of object VR(Virtual Reality), a high quality of panorama VR, and data treatment and its interaction of drawing of cad data. As a result, the single data format shows not only one image representation but also a stream of continuous operation through a change into another format. But this desired study expects that another next studies will go on interaction and integration of digital format with increase of transmission speed expected in the future, and a digital model and its practical methods.

JPEG 재압축이 컬러 이미지 품질에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A study on the effect of JPEG recompression with the color image quality)

  • Joint photographic experts group (JPEG) is a standard still-image compression technique, established by the international organization for standardization (ISO) and international telecommunication standardization sector (ITUT). The standard is intended to be utilized in the various kinds of color still imaging systems as a standard color image coding format. Because JPEG is a lossy compression, the decompressed image pixel values are not the same as the value before compression. Various distortions of JPEG compression and JPEG recompression has been reported in various papers. The Image compressed by JPEG is often recompressed by same type compression method in JPEG. In general, JPEG is a lossy compression and the quality of compressed image is predicted that is varied in according to recompression Q-factor. In this paper, four difference color samples(photo image, gradient image, gradient image, vector drawing image, text image) were compressed in according to various Q-factor, and then the compressed images were recompressed according to various Q-factor once again. As the result, this paper evaluate the variation of image quality and file size in JPEG recompression and recommed the optimum recompression factor.

  • In this paper an automated hole-finding method for overset grids is introduced which uses recursive octree-cell division. A graphic program which enables the user to do the hole-cutting with ease is also introduced. Using this program it is found that there is an optimum combination of the level of octree division and vector calculation for the efficient and fast hole finding.

  • The present study is aimed to develop a new PIV operating software through optimization of vector tracking identification including versatile pre-processings and post-processing techniques. And the result exhibits an improved version corresponding various input and output multimedia compared to previous commercial software developed by other makers. An upgraded identification method called grey-level cross correlation coefficient method by direct calculation is suggested and related user-friendly pop-up menu are also represented. Post-processings comprising turbulence statistics are also introduced with graphic output functions.

  • GPS(Global Positioning System)은 위성에서 현재 시스템이 위치한 곳의 주위 지역을 2차원으로 표현해 주는 시스템이다. 이 시스템에서의 그래픽 표현은 비트맵 표현 방식으로 다량의 메모리를 사용하는 단점이 있다. 이 논문에서는 GPS의 다량의 메모리를 사용하는 단점을 보완하기 위하여 비트맵 표현 방식을 지양하고 벡터 표현 방식을 사용하는 SVG(Scalable Vector Graphic)를 이용하며 메모리 사용량을 감소시킬 수 있는 방법을 제시하고자 한다. 또한 XML의 그래픽 표준안인 SVG에서는 2차원만을 표시하기 때문에 3차원 표현이 어려우나, ECMAScript를 사용하여 SVG의 단정인 3자원 표현의 어려움을 개선하는 방법에 대해 고찰하고자 한다.

  • 최근 임베디드 환경에서 2차인 Vector Graphics에 대한 요구는 크게 증가하고 있으며, Flash Lite, SVG등의 응용이 이미 널리 사용되고 있다. 반면 이러한 응용을 지원하기 위한 API의 표준은 전무한 실정이었다. OpenVG 1.0은 임베디드 시스템을 위한 미디어 표준 제정 기관인 Khronos Group에서 제정한 2차원 벡터 그래픽스를 위한 API (Application Programming Interface)로 2005년 8월 발표되었다. 본 논문에서는 OpenVG 표준에 대해 간략히 소개하고 (주)휴원에서 세계최초로 상용화 개발에 성공한 AlexVG Engine의 개발과정과 결과에 대하여 설명한다.
