  • A solid-state reaction of $MoO_3$ with as-synthesized H-SAPO-34 generated paramagnetic Mo(V) species. The dehydration resulted in weak Mo(V) species, and subsequent activation resulted in the formation of Mo(V) species such as $Mo(V)_{5c}$ and $Mo(V)_{6c}$ that are characterized by ESR. The data of ESR and ESEM show the oxomolybdenum species, to be $(MoO_2)^+$ or $(MoO)^{3+}$. The $(MoO_2)^+$ species seems to be more probable. Since H-SAPO-34 has a low framework negative charge, $(MoO)^{3+}$ with a high positive charge can not be easily stabilized. A solution reaction between the solution of silico-molybdic acid and calcined H-SAPO-34 resulted in only $(MoO_2)^+$ species. A rhombic ESR signal is observed on adsorption of $D_2O$, $CD_3OH$, $CH_3Ch_2OD$ and $ND_3$. The Location and coordination structure of Mo(V) species has been determined by three-pulse electron spin-echo modulation data and their simulations. After the adsorption of methanol, ethylene, ammonia, and water for MoH-SAPO-34, three molecules, one molecule, one and one molecule, respectively, are directly coordinated to $(MoO_2)^+)$.

  • Viruses are the most common cause of lower respiratory tract infections (LRTIs) in infants and young children and are a major public health problem in this age group. Viruses were identified in 54.9-70.4% of hospitalized infants and children with LRTIs in Korea. The viral pathogens identified included respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) A and RSV B, influenza (Inf) A, Inf B, parainfluenza (PIV)1, PIV2, human bocavirus (hBoV), human rhinovirus (hRV), adenovirus (ADV), human metapneumovirus (hMPV), human coronavirus (hCoV)-OC 43, hCoV-229E, hCoV-NL63, hCoV-HKU1, and human enterovirus (hEV). Coinfections with ${\geq}$2 viruses were observed in 11.5-22.8% of children. The occurrence of LRTIs was the highest in the first year of life. The specific viruses are frequently associated with specific clinical syndromes of LRTIs. LRTIs caused by RSV were predominant among younger infants. hRV accounted for a larger proportion of LRTIs in young infants than ADV and hBoV. hMPV was frequently detected in children >24 months old. The number of hMPV infections peaked between February and May, whereas hRV was detected throughout the year. Thus far, hCoV is a less common respiratory pathogen in cases of ALRI and URI in Korean children.

  • For the Briot-Bouquet differential equations of the form given in [1] $${{\mu}(z)+\frac {z{\mu}'(z)}{z\frac {f'(z)}{f(z)}\[\alpha{\mu}(z)+\beta]}=g(z)$$ we can reduce them to $${{\mu}(z)+F(z)\frac {v'(z)}{v(z)}=h(z)$$ where $$v(z)=\alpha{\mu}(z)+\beta,\;h(z)={\alpha}g(z)+\beta\;and\;F(z)=f(z)/f'(z)$$. In this paper we are going to give conditions in order that if u and v satisfy, respectively, the equations (1) $${{\mu}(z)+F(z)\frac {v'(z)}{v(z)}=h(z)$$, $${{\mu}(z)+G(z)\frac {v'(z)}{v(z)}=g(z)$$ with certain conditions on the functions F and G applying the concept of strong subordination $g\;\prec\;\prec\;h$ given in [2] by the author, implies that $v\;\prec\;{\mu},\;where\;\prec$ indicates subordination.

  • A thermophilic soil isolate Bacillus sp. Y-127 was selected for the production of thermostable amylase. The strain was used for the enzyme production and the thermostable amylase was characterized. The optimum cultural conditions for the enzyme production were 6$0^{\circ}C$ at pH 7.0 for 32 hours using a mineral medium containing 2% soluble starch and 0.2% yeast extract. The extra-cellular enzyme was purified about 123-folds with about 6% recovery. The purified enzyme was stable at pH between 4.0 and 7.0, and temperature up to 6$0^{\circ}C$.

  • Using the acetate velvet and viscose velvet whose pile lengths were sheared as 1.45, 1.55, 1 65, 1.75, 1.85, 1.90mm under the condition equating the weaving process of ground fabric, the conclusions were as follows through the results of the sensory assessments estimated by women students in our university and the physical properties, H. V and T. H. V obtained by KES-F system. 1. In the sensory assessments estimated by the method of paired comparison and ranking of samples, the longer pile length was, the more the hand values of smoothness, softness, thickness, heaviness increased on the whole. 2. The H V. and T. H. V. measured by KES-F system were as follows; Kohi increased to pile length 1.85mm and then decreased a little at 1.90mm. hummer increased as pile length was longer. Fukurami increased to pile length 1.75mm and then decreased gradually as pile length was longer. Total hand value increased gradually from 1. 45mm to 1.85mm, had the top value at 1.85mm, and then decreased a little at 1.90mm. 3. • Let a and b be positive integers, and let V (G), (G), and 2(G) be the vertex set of a graph G, the minimum degree of G, and the minimum degree sum of two non-adjacent vertices in V (G), respectively. An even [a, b]-factor of a graph G is a spanning subgraph H such that for every vertex v ∈ V (G), dH(v) is even and a ≤ dH(v) ≤ b, where dH(v) is the degree of v in H. Matsuda conjectured that if G is an n-vertex 2-edge-connected graph such that $n{\geq}2a+b+{\frac{a^2-3a}{b}}-2$, (G) ≥ a, and ${\sigma}_2(G){\geq}{\frac{2an}{a+b}}$, then G has an even [a, b]-factor. In this paper, we provide counterexamples, which are highly connected. Furthermore, we give sharp sufficient conditions for a graph to have an even [a, b]-factor. For even an, we conjecture a lower bound for the largest eigenvalue in an n-vertex graph to have an [a, b]-factor.

  • The reduction of Mo-thiocyanate (V) complex on dropping mercury electrode has been studied at ionic strength 0.6 with pH less than 2.3. D-C polarogram obtained from acidic solutions are reversible, diffusion controlled current. The electrode reaction of Mo-thiocyanate(V) may be represented as follows. $MoO(SCN)_3\;+\;2H^+\;+\;2e\;{\to}\;Mo(SCN)_2{^+}\;+\;H_2O\;+\;SCN^-$From this reaction, the half wave potential assumed to be $E_{1/2}\;=\;E_0'\;-\;0.059\;pH\;-\;0.03\;log{\;frac{[Mo(SCN)_2{^+}][SCN^-]}{[MoO(SCN)_3]}}$Considering the dissociation of this complex, however, it was estimated that the electrode reaction may be written by. $MoO^{+3}\;+\;3SCN^-\;+\;2H^+\;+\;2e\;{\to}\;Mo(SCN)_2{^+}\;+\;SCN^-\;+\;H_2O$.

  • Manual lifting techniques are commonly defined in terms of the postures adopted at the start of the lift. Quantitative definition is problematic, however, because the absolute joint angles adopted to lift an object are influenced by task parameters, such as the initial height of the load. The main objective of this study is to investigate the grip strength of the both hands at the initial lifting points. The survey is conducted by measuring the compression force, anthropometric data and grip strength at the lifting postures for the subjects(n=50) who is assigned to their job as usual. The experiment is peformed at the four lifting postures which involving the combination of two horizontal factors(H1 : 35 cm, H2 : 55 cm) and two vertical factors(V1 : 20~80 cm, V2 : 47~102 cm). The analysis result of lifting posture indicated that each H1-V1, H2-V1 combinations are about 60$^{\circ}$ and each H1-V2, H2-V2 combinations are about $30^{\circ}$. There are significant differences on grip strength between $60^{\circ}$ and $30^{\circ}$ stooped posture. The results of this study can be provided a method defining lifting postures at the minimum grip strength. Also, it is eliminated a hazard of the injuries which are cumulative trauma disorders(CTDs) and back pain, increased a productivity and improved a welfare of workers.
