This thesis aims to identify the design guidelines for environmental plans for the facilities for the aged people with a focus on the users' needs and the concept of aging in place. For this purpose major environmental design factors were researched by analyzing spaces and interviewing the managers and supervisor of W nursing home in Jeju Island that was opened in 1980s. Surveyed factors were divided into five categories, and by applying the design guideline theory of age friendly environment and nursing home facilities to them, five municipal composition factors of Kevin Lynch, universal design, environmental behavior model of John Zeisel principles were found. On the other hand, the environmental changes and development process of W nursing home is a showcase that reveals the importance of narrowing the gap in the opinions of the space users, the experts of architecture and administration which is emphasized in the principles of Inquiry by Design of John Zeisel. This research is expected to be used effectively for the researchers who study the space designs for the age-friendly environment.

Social media which support to share information and communicate between online users have recently won great popularity. Of the various social services blogs have played an active role as a community in sharing delivering and exchanging information among individual users who have share similar opinions hobbies and preferences. Based on this cultural phenomenon some companies often take advantage of blogs as a marketing tool to strengthen their public relations or deliver particular information to their costumer. This study is designed to classify fashion-related blogs and define the characteristics of each type expecting significant influences on future studies on this topic. We selected 50 fashion-related blogs as subjects including 25 Korean blogs and the same number of international blogs, defined their characteristics and classified them into four different types. As the result we found that there are apparent differences between the four types of blogs: "Individual taste" blogs which noticeably reflect bloggers' own preference "Trend leader" blogs in which the bloggers intend to be trend leaders beyond expressing their preference "Fashion media" blogs which plays a significant role as a magazine by providing various information concerning fashion for costumers and "Sales promotion" blogs which are used as promotional materials to attract customers by providing product reviews or advertisements.

Although Internet retailing is becoming a viable channel for apparel retailing, consumers are still reluctant to use Internet for apparel purchasing because at their concerns at Internet security and the difficulties at virtual shopping in unfamiliar shopping environment. The purpose at this study is to examine the nature at perceived risk associated with Internet apparel shopping and risk-reduction strategies used by Internet apparel shoppers. The data were collected via an online survey by a online research company. A total at 4,254 Internet users participated in this survey. Among these Internet users, 1,146 respondents had previous shopping experience in Internet shopping. Within this group, 195 were Internet apparel information seekers, and 589 were Internet apparel purchasers. Descriptive statistics, analysis of variance, and t-test were used to analyze the data. The perceived risks and risk-reduction strategies used by Internet apparel no-interest shoppers, Internet apparel information seekers (browsers), moderate Internet apparel purchasers, heavy Internet apparel purchasers were examined and compared. The results indicated that these tour groups were significantly different in apparel related risk, performance risk, and privacy risk. Internet purchasers tend to perceive more apparel-related, performance, and privacy risks than others. The results also indicated that these tour groups were significantly different in their opinions of risk-reduction strategies.

국립디지털도서관(NDL)의 정보서비스 정책이 개발되기 위해서는 문헌연구 및 해외 디지털도서관 정보서비스 사례 분석, 관련 분야 전문가를 통한 포커스 그룹 인터뷰, 도서관 이용자 및 사서를 대상으로 하는 설문조사 등 다각적인 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구는 국립디지털도서관 정보서비스 정책 개발 방법 중의 하나로서 NDL 건립과 운영에 관한 도서관 이용자 및 사서들의 인식과 기대사항을 다양한 측면에서 조사하였다.

Stroke, also called an attack on the brain, is a complex disease that results from the interaction of many genetic and environmental factors. StrokePortal is a comprehensive resource for information on stroke that integrates and provides essential findings regarding stroke pathology, diagnostics, and treatments, based on Oriental and Western medicine. The stroke information was collected from various sources, such as journal articles, books, websites, and news stories, and it was refined, classified, and stored into a relational database system by automatic classification and manual curation. To provide the stored information effectively to users, a specialized retrieval system, based on web interfaces, was implemented. StrokePortal provides cutting-edge information to experts; interested people, including patients and their families; and investigators to broaden their knowledge of effective treatments for patients and offer many preventive measures. It provides a specialized feature with which users can upload their information and opinions to StrokePortal, which will enrich and mature the content even further. 본 논문은 안드로이드기반 모바일 보완대체의사소통시스템(AAC)의 기능 및 사용자인터페이스(UI)에 대한 사용성 평가에 대한 것이다. 시나리오를 사용한 평가를 통해 특정 기능실행의 용이성, 기능사용의 만족도, 정보찾기의 용이성 등을 살펴보았고, 설문조사를 통해 모바일 AAC의 개발목적, 내용, 교수학습 전략, 활용가능성, 편집/설정 기능과 사용자인터페이스 등이 무발화아동의 의사소통 요구에 적합한지를 평가하였으며, 자유 피드백을 통하여 사용자의 선호도, 만족도, 요구분석 사항 등에 대한 피드백들을 조사하고 분석하였다. 또한 5인치, 7인치, 4.3인치의 모바일 기기를 사용하여 다양한 크기의 안드로이드기반 모바일 기기에 대한 사용자의 선호도를 조사하였다.

Purpose The purpose of the study is to identify the need of a mobile based library information and service delivery system in developing countries, identify the services that are possible to provide with the help of mobile phones and their applications, design a mobile based library information and service delivery system, and identify major challenges regarding mobile based library information and service delivery systems.Design/ Methodology/ Approach The research is exploratory in nature. This paper is based on a review of literature, survey information, and on the author’s own viewpoints. A comprehensive search of scientific literature has been done along with a survey for validating the necessity of designing mobile based library information and service delivery systems. Responses to closed-ended questions in particular on 7-point Likert scales were analyzed using the descriptive analysis techniques of SPSS 20.0 and responses to other closed-ended questions were analyzed using general statistics.Findings The research indicates that users of academic libraries, especially students and faculty members, have a positive notion regarding designing and implementing a mobile based library information and service delivery system. It also reveals user opinions regarding the possible problems associated with the design and implementation of a mobile based library information and service delivery system.Originality The paper explores mobile based library information and service delivery systems for better and faster service provision to its potential users.

The user participatory design process collects users' opinions efficiently through a feedback process such as various user workshops and conferences. When users who actually participated in a design process use the facility in which they were a participant, their satisfaction with the design quality of the facility they use may be enhanced; therefore, user participatory design methods in school construction are deemed to enlarge consistently the interest in a school of students, parents, teachers, and local residents. This paper selected the most appropriate user participatory design methods through an analysis of actually applied cases, and applied them to the empirical exploration process. Also, problems incurred through the empirical exploration process were solved by various user participatory design methods based on actually experienced cases and the results of workshops performed. As such, this paper deduced problems by applying user participatory design methods in practice, and solved problems by executing the empirical exploration process again. Through this, the paper proposed a variety of user participatory design methods for improving school design and raising user satisfaction.

School is where students spend a lot of time. However, it is made up spaces which have got no consideration for students. Public buildings, such as schools, were designed by experts, not by users, while the opinions of users were reflected in a small part. As a result, school has become an uncomfortable place for students. User participation design has been proposed as a way to improve it. Recently, in designing schools, user participation design called "School Space Innovation Project" has been carried out actively and many kinds of guidelines have been suggested in project. But because it is unsystematic, In fact, it is hard to apply on site. Comparing and analyzing various User Participation Processes to figure out the similarities and differences is the purpose of this research and we want to suggest the result as a data that can be used as guidelines for project related to User Participation Design.

Nowadays, many educational facilities are being renovated. However, due to the absence of a system for post renovation of educational spaces, users are less satisfied with the spaces after the renovation and there is a limit in establishing future directions for improving educational space renovation. From this point of view, this study was conducted to increase the users' satisfaction in renovation space planning of educational spaces and to establish a system for management after renovation. As a specific research method, the space preference of students was used to evaluate the space after renovation. By researching the opinions of the students who use the most educational space, not only the direction of the renovation plan of the future educational space can be given but also the user's opinion can be reflected in the spatial plan in detail. In terms of management of future educational spaces, this study can be used as a basic study for developing post evaluation indicators for renovation of educational facilities.
