A collaboration supporting system, which enables multi-user collaboration and communication in Internet environment, is being a new indispensable tool to compete and collaborate with business peers. A collaboration supporting system in distributed environment requires scalable and open system architecture to rapidly deploy a new technology and trends. In this paper, we propose such a collaboration supporting system where communication API is using XMI(Extended Markup Language)-based SOAP(Simple Object Access Protocol)protocols, which is independent on programming language and platform. In our system, sever components are developed with EJB(Enterprise Java Beans). System analysis, design, and development are based on UML(Unified Modeling Language).

In this paper, we propose a new approach for the implicit rating algorithm of finding user's intense and preference to the contents on the web. Although the explicit method dig out the user preference of specific contents based on the user's intervention, we propose the implicit method obtaining the user preference according to the user's behavioral patterns on the web implicitly and automatically without the user's intervention. The implementation results show that the proposed approach is highly valuable for supporting recommender systems in conjunction with the users lifestyle.

A web-based Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) supporting system is connected with a Product Data Management (PDM) system for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) suffering from the lack of building hardware, software and related experts. An analysis of current business models and worksite requirements provides an improved process model and data to be shared between the PDM system and the CAE supporting system. Since all engineering tasks such as geometric modeling, mesh generation, static stress and modal analysis, and fatigue durability analysis are automated in the CAE supporting system, the user in charge of the CAE have only to configure the concerned values of design variables and result data through the web page. The existing Change Management module of the PDM system is modified for seamless data exchange, i.e. sending the Engineering Change Order (ECO) data to the CAE supporting system and receiving the CAE result data bark. The hi-directional data transfers between the PDM system and the CAE supporting system is made possible by adaptors bused on the Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP). The current approach will be very helpful for SMEs that only have the PDM system and have no adequate infrastructure for CAE.

As user's demands for high-speed data traffic are recently increased, ABR services are considered as one of important service requirements in ATM networks. Unfortunately, a number of existing ATM switching systems have structural drawbacks as to support ABR services because these switching systems have been developed to support realtime(rt) services such as CBR and rt-VBR services. To support ABR services in the existing ATM switching systems, new traffic control mechanisms for ABR services are required. This paper proposes a method for supporting ABR services in ATM swithcing systems without back-pressure mechanisms and evaluates the performance of the proposed method using simulation.

With the contunuing trends towards an information based society, telecommunications services are becoming an integral part of social activities. So, emphasis on ISDN is growing rapidly and placed on supporting integrated services delivery of different levels to the end user. The end user’s perception of an integraged services delivery(in particular, ISDN services) should reflect three interrelated capabilities, ISDN access capabilities and ISDN network capabilities. For turning the ISDN concept of above capabilities into reality, we have implemented the experimental system on user-network interfaces, which are three kinds of implementations in user access arrangements, namely basic access, intermediate rate multiplexed access and primary rate multiplexed access. Through these implementations, NTE(Network Terminating Equipment) is used for single basic access [2B+D], IMUX (Intermediate rate Multiplexer) for 4 basic accesses [4X(2B+D)] and PMUX(Primary rate Multiplexer) for [10/12 X (2B+D)]. This paper describes the outlines of system features on user access equipments, system architectures of testbed and experiment result of each access arrangements.

본 논문에서는 OLE 자동화를 이용한 GIS의 사용자 인터페이스를 개발하는 방법을 제시하였다. 사용자 인터페이스의 개발에 있어서는 윈도우즈 프로그래밍 기술과 컴포넌트 소프트웨어 제작 기술의 적용이 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 컴포넌트 소프트웨어 제작 기술인 OLE 자동화와 비주얼 베이직 언어를 이용하여 사용자 인터페이스를 개발하는 방법을 제시하고, 사례 연구로서 주제도 중첩, 속성 테이블 조회, 그래프 분석, 분포도 분석 등의 기능을 수행할 수 있는 사용자 인터페이스를 개발하였다.

Information systems development entails planning, analysis, design and construction phases. The analysis phase identifying user requirements is the most important of these phases. Since unidentified defects in the early phase causes increased work and costs as development proceeds, the quality of analysis results affects the quality of the resultant system. Major tasks in the analysis phase are data modeling and process modeling. Research on building a knowledge-based system for data modeling have been conducted much, however, not sufficiently for process modeling. As a system environment with high user interaction increases, research on process modeling methods and knowledge- based systems considering such environment are required. In this research, a process modeling framework for information systems with high user interaction is suggested and a knowledge-based system for supporting the suggested framework is implemented. A proposed model consists of the following tasks: event analysis, process analysis, and event/process interaction analysis. Event analysis identifies business events and their responses. Process analysis break down the processes of an enterprise into progressively increasing details. Decomposition begins at the function level and ends when the elementary process level is reached. Event/process interaction analysis verifies the results of process analysis and event analysis. A knowledge-based system for supporting a proposed process modeling framework is implemented in a web-based environment.

현대사회는 인터넷과 IT융합기술의 발달로 정보의 양이 급속도로 늘어나고 있으며, 이로 인하여 많은 데이터 속에 원하는 정보를 용이하게 획득하거나 검색하는 기술도 발전되고 있다. 의료 관련 시스템통합 또한 다양하게 구축 되어 정보의 누적량이 비약적으로 증가하고 있으나 구축된 자료를 활용한 간호활동의 정보제공 및 지원 내용은 미흡한 실정으로 특히 통증의 중재에 관한 판단은 간호사 개인의 경험적 판단에 의존하게 되는 것이 현실로서 대체적으로 주관적 판단이 내려지게 된다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 의료관련 데이터를 활용, 추출하고 협력적 필터링을 이용한 통증 간호중재 지원 방법론을 제안한다. 제안하고자 하는 협력적 필터링은 유사한 선호도를 기반으로 관련도가 높은 아이템을 추출하는 방법으로 사용자 기반의 협력적 필터링을 이용한 선호도 예측 방법은 피어슨 상관 계수에 의해 사용자 유사도를 구하고, 사용자의 선호도를 기반으로 이웃 선정방법을 사용한다.

본 연구는 관광통계 프로세스 설계 지원 도구 개발을 통하여 업무 프로세스를 설계하고, 시스템을 구축함으로써, 관광통계를 체계적이고, 통합적으로 관리할 수 있도록 하고 관광개발계획 의사결정 지원도구로 활용하는데 목적이 있다. 이러한 목표하에 정보공급자, 정보생산자, 정보활용자의 3가지 요소로 이루어진 관광통계 프로세스 설계 지원 도구를 개발하였다. 이러한 프로세스 설계 지원 도구는 기존의 개발계획지표가 관광 관련 정책결정 및 개발계획수립에 효율적의 활용될 수 있도록 업무프로세스를 개선하고 시스템 구조를 합리화시킬 수 있다. 프로세스 설계 지원 도구를 활용하여,49개의 업무 프로세스를 설계하였고, 외부 기관과 연계되는 합리적인 데이터베이스를 설계하여, 관광통계정보시스템을 구축하였다. 그 결과 관광개발계획 수립시, 보다 합리적인 의사결정을 지원할 수 있게 되었다.
