사용자 단말 태깅 기반 승하선 관리시스템의 설계 및 구현 (The Design and Implementation of Embark / Disembark Management System Based on User Terminal Tagging)

  • In this paper, we describe about the user terminal tagging-based embarkation/disembarkation management system and embarkation/disembarkation management method using this system. The system authenticates the validity of the user and on whether to board on the ship by tagging the user's terminal which the boarding reservation was made by using the management terminal provided in the ship. The system identifies on whether the user disembark in the ship by tagging the user's terminal. In the event of ship accident, it is easy to figure out the user and manage the non-contact boarding and disembarking. Therefore, we design the embarkation/disembarkation management system based on user's terminal tagging on the terminal provided in the ship and embarkation/disembarkation management method using this system. User terminal tagging can solve the problem of manpower required for the management of embarkation and disembarkation, the problem of requiring time to confirm the match between the reservation and the passenger, and the problem of increase of the possibility on the spread of infectious diseases due to face-to-face contact.

비교과통합관리시스템이 사용자 만족에 미치는 영향 분석 (A study on the effect of the extracurricular activity management system on user satisfaction)

  • This study analyzed the effect of the extracurricular activity management system on user satisfaction. For this purpose, the effects of content, navigation, screen frame, design, interaction, and error handling factors on user satisfaction were analyzed. A survey was conducted on 321 students of K University located in Chungcheongbuk-do, and the research results based on the survey contents are as follows. First, content, navigation, screen frame, interactivity, and error handling, which are major elements of the extracurricular activity management system, showed statistically significant results. Second, interactivity and error handling were found to have the greatest influence on the factors affecting user satisfaction of the extracurricular activity management system. In this study, it was found that the interaction of the whole system including contents is important for continuous improvement of the extracurricular activity management system, and that it has a positive effect on user satisfaction when prompt error handling is possible.

  • A company needs low cost and high efficient S/W tools to improve the white color productivity in daily operation, These needs may be satisfied by end-user knowledge management system to be suggested in this paper. We suggest that the end-user knowledge management is not made by specialized developer but directly made by end-users of some related managers using company-wide DB and department DB. We expect that this end-user knowledge management system will increase the efficiency of end-user daily operation and minimize the total life cycle cost of end-user computing system in industry. The suggested end-user knowledge management system has been tested in some companies through the training course.

  • The purpose of this study is to confirm whether user attitude and expectation make a significant difference on the system performance according to management level of IS. The management level is defined as a evaluation of IS and project management. Field research was employed to empirically investigate the relationship among the variables. The finding of the study can be summarized as follows. The positive attitude has a favorable effect on the system performance. But high expectation shows low performance under the strict evaluation.

  • This paper describes the differences of the information system's success factors to improve the end-user's performance according to the job characteristics. A modified model of DeLone and McLean's IS success model is proposed with the two added variables of the top management concern and the IS department support. The model is validated using data collected from a field study of 3872 users on 3 Korean companies. ANOVA, correlation analysis, and stepwise regression are used to test research hypotheses. The results of the study indicate the following implications. First the top management concern and the IS department support have the significant relation with the system usage and the user satisfaction. Second, the system quality has an influence on the user satisfaction more than on the system usage. And the information quality has an influence on the system usage more than on the user satisfaction. Third, the system usage has more relations to the user's performance in the logistics function and R&D function. The user satisfaction has more relations to the user's performance in the sales and the A/S function. Therefore information system strategy to increase the user's performance must be differentiated according to job characteristics.

Implementation of a Network Provisioning System with User-driven and Trusty Protection Management

  • Proper management on user-driven virtual circuits (VCs) is essential for seamless operation of virtual networks. The Network Provisioning System (NPS) is useful software for creating user-driven VCs automatically and must take fault management into account for physical layer impairments on user-driven VCs. This paper addresses a user-driven and trusty protection management in an NPS with an open standard Network Service Interface (NSI), as a contribution to show how to implement the user-driven and trusty protection management required for user-driven VCs. In particular, it provides a RESTful web service Interface for Configuration and Event management (RICE) that enable management of a distinguished data and control plane VC status between Network Service Agents (NSAs) in the event of a node or link fault and repair in a domain. This capability represents a contribution to show how network and protection events in a domain can be monitored between NSAs (NPSs with the NSI) in multiple domains. The implemented NPS controls and manages both the primary and backup VC with disjoint path in a user-driven manner. A demonstration to verify RICE API's capability is addressed for the trusty protection in the dynamic VC network.

사용자 요구조도 만족 스마트 조명 관리시스템 (A Smart Lighting Management System with Satisfaction of User's Lighting Requirements)

  • In this paper, we proposed a smart lighting management system controls the lighting efficiently to reduce energy consumption while satisfying user's lighting requirements. The proposed system considers the available daylight intensity and indoor light source to satisfy the lighting requirements of each user according to the work environment. In addition, for user convenience, we have developed different user interfaces for lighting control including local interface, and remote interface through internet or Bluetooth for personal computer as well as smart phones. The proposed system satisfies the lighting requirements of each user according to the corresponding work environment. The proposed smart lighting management system utilizes the lighting energy efficiently, and can be considered a significant contribution towards future green buildings.

위탁급식 전문업체 전사적자원관리(ERP) 품질이 업무 성과에 미치는 영향과 업무 성과 변수 간 인과관계 분석 (Effect of the ERP Quality on the Performance and Causal-Effect Analysis between Outcome Variables in the Contract Foodservice Management Company)

  • The purposes of this study were 1) to analyze the effect of the ERP quality (system quality, information quality, service quality) on the performance (end user satisfaction, user's performance, system utilization) of business, 2) to conduct the causal-effect analysis between outcome variables (user's satisfaction, user's performance, system utilization) of ERP in the contract foodservice management company. The questionnaires were distributed to 260 end users (dietitians, foodservice management managers) in charge of managing the institutional foodservice such as the office (government agencies, factories), schools (universities, middle and high school) and hospitals which were managed by contract foodservice management company 'C' in Seoul and Kyunggi. The surveys were performed from July 26, 2004 to July 30. 2004. Two hundred and fifty (250) questionnaires were responded (response rate: 96.2%). The statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS Win (11.5). And the descriptive analysis, factor analysis, reliability test, pearson correlation, simple and multiple regression analysis were performed. The results showed that among the 3 factors (system quality, information quality, service quality), the system quality and information quality were proved to have an effect on the user's satisfaction and user's performance significantly (p < .05). The influence of ERP quality (system quality, information quality, service quality) on system utilization were testified to be statistically significant (p < .05). The user's performance were affected significantly by system utilization (p < 0.001) and end user's satisfaction (p < 0.001). As a conclusion, to improve user satisfaction, which is the ultimate performance variable of an ERP system, high quality of an ERP system is the pre-requisite. And the user satisfaction and performance of business would be higher with the better quality ERP system. When constructing ERP system for the contract foodservice management company, we should improve system utilization and user satisfaction altogether so that user's performance could be ultimately enhanced and we should make efforts to enhance the quality level of ERP.   • In this paper, we develop system to backup automatically personal data by real time based on ECA model. This system backups data that is changed in user PC using CDP technology based on ECA model. Proposed ECA model defines file's change such as file creation, update, remove etc. in user PC to event for synchronization between server and user PC. If event is detected about file, proposed system examines condition that is defined and backup the file to server. Backup data that is stored to server can recovery on point of time that user wants. The proposed system can be applied to data management system for business, personal data management system, high-capacity contents management system etc.

User Requirement Analysis on Risk Management of Architectural Heritage in Virtual Reality

  • We propose a method to analyze user requirements to design a virtual reality-based risk management system. This paper presents surveys, interviews, prototype evaluation methods, and implementation process. Architectural heritage is easily exposed to natural and artificial dangers caused by various material combinations and structural features. So, risk management of cultural heritage plays a key role in preserving and managing cultural heritage. However, risk management has been carried out through empirical methods using distributed data. This study analyzes user requirements for designing functions and interfaces of VR-based risk management system and evaluates prototypes to overcome the above problems. As a result, most heritage managers wanted a system function to support risk analysis and response. They also found that they prefer 2D information such as existing drawings and photos rather than 3D information. The results of the user requirements analysis derived from this study will be used to create risk management applications.
