유방암 환자의 의료인 관련 불친절 경험 (Unkindness Experience of Health Care Provider in Patients with Breast Cancer)

  • Purpose: This phenomenological study aimed to identify breast cancer patients' experience of unkindness of healthcare providers. Methods: Ten participants who were diagnosed with breast cancer were recruited to participate in the study and asked to share their experience related to healthcare providers. Data were analyzed using the phenomenological method of Colaizzi. In-depth interviews were conducted from November, 2014 to March, 2015. Results: Seven consistent categories and fourteen theme clusters emerged from collected data. The seven themes were 'being treated thoughtlessly', 'not giving special services for breast cancer patients', 'cold and authoritative manner', 'incomplete explanation', 'not accepting an appeal', 'being sorry for having short consultation hours', and 'unskilled and careless treatment'. Conclusions: It is needed to develop health care services in the view of beneficiaries. This may reduce the patients' experience of unkindness of the healthcare providers and improve the satisfaction of health care service.

공공도서관 이용자들의 사서인식도에 관한 연구 (A study about the public library users, cognition degree for librarians)

  • The writer obtained a Conclusion through this thesis as follows: First : There a n.0, ppeared that users, Cognition degree for librarian's Social status is very high. As it were, response for questioning about librarian's scholarly attainments and business type is almost accurate that we anticipate the expectation value for the librarian is very high. Second : The satisfaction degree of information services acquired by the users through public library was very skeptic. Due to the poorness of information media that we wish, and deterioration of data, it losed its qualification as a creation organization for the true information, but lots of people emphasized their opinion it only role as a "study room". Third : A questioning about librarian"s assiduity in the public library, there are lots of users Complain. Main factor of that dissatisfaction is Unkindness, and business like(duplicated) assiduity. Not only this but main desire to the public library in pusan down town by the users is also a n.0, ppeared as Kind Service. Fourth : General Controversial points in public libraries in pusan area indicated by the users who responded to the subjective questions are poor data, lack of kind service attitude and poor facilities.oor facilities.

일부지역 치위생과 학생들의 생명의료 윤리의식에 대한 조사연구 (A Survey of Dental Hygiene Students' perception toward the Biomedical Ethics Problem)

  • This paper describes biomedical ethics problem perception in dental hygiene students. Questionnaire surveys were conducted for 285 in dental hygiene students from September 3th to 21th of 2007. For statistical analyses of collected data, the descriptive analyses and chi-square were adopted. This collected data showed that bribery as the most common ethical problem. Other frequently mentioned problems are unkindness of patient and treatment equality. They agreed to artificial abortion in 79.1%, human cloning was statistically significant by grade. Biomedical ethics problem except euthanasia and human cloning were statistically significant by resident area. Also, brain death was statistically significant by religion.

말기 암 환자 가족이 경험하는 어려움에 관한 내용분석 (Content Analysis of Difficulties in Families with Terminal Cancer Patients)

  • Purpose: The objective of this study was to understand the caring experience of families with terminal cancer patients. Method: This was designed to be an inductive and descriptive study. Forty-seven families with terminal cancer patients were interviewed in depth and collected data were examined through content analysis. Result: The main categories of difficulties found in this study were 'suffering of patient', 'emotional suffering of family', 'bereavement of patient', 'difficulties in coping', 'problems in treatment', 'incurable situation', 'family problems', 'relationship with other people', 'economic problems', 'spiritual problems', 'problems in the future', 'informing patients of their condition', 'preparing death', 'emotional unstability', 'meaninglessness', 'unkindness of medical teams', 'poor environment for treatment', 'difficulties in hospital environment' and 'economic burden'. Conclusion: The main point found from this result was that families taking care of terminal cancer patients are suffering emotionally from watching the patients' pains and had difficulties in coping with the patients' situation and treatment. In addition, they had negative experiences in medical teams' attitude and hospital environment. This result can be used as an important guide for nurses to assess families' needs in the terminal care setting.

진단방사선과 검사실의 환경개선이 환자에게 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effect of the Environmental Improvement in the Diagnostic Radiography Room on Patients)

  • Background : This study was attempted to provide us with basic data on how to environmental improvement with patients for examination, and to offer them better treatment. This study was performed to compare the patients, perception between before and after improvement in the diagnostic radiography room. Methods : The data was collected by interviewing 75 patients who underwent the radiography under the diagnostic radiology at Seoul National University Hospital in Korea. The interview ran from August 9 to October 18, 1999. Data were analyzed by percentage and paired t-test. SD(Semantic Differential) method was composed of adjective 13 words. Results : Patients were attending the elementary schools in the Seoul residents. There was no significant difference in kindness unkindness dimension and were significant differences in other dimensions. The mean score of response level to present room was 3.67 and that of improvement room was 2.16. Conclusions : The results of this study suggest a radiography room plan which is considering emotional aspect of children.

외식산업에서의 프랜차이즈 시스템 가맹점에 대한 소비자 의식 조사 (A Survey on the Consciousness of Consumers for Franchise System Restaurants in Food Service Industry)

  • In this paper, we surveyed the actual utilization condition of chain stores of franchise systems and the customers' consciousness on chain shops and non-chain restaurants. The survey was conducted on 459 people either living or working in Pusan area and aged more than 4th grade in elementary school without sex distinction. The data analyses were made by way of frequency, percentage, Spearman rank correlation and Chi-square using dBastat 1.0 package of PC. The results of the survey are as follows. The survey indicates that respondents have the most experience of visiting chicken, hamburger, and pizza chain shops. Although the survey on the degree of preference between chain shops and non-chain restaurants indicates that men prefer non-chain restaurants and women prefer chain shops, the results are not so significant to conclude that there is a preference regardless of sex (N. S.): By ages, students and young group prefer chain shops and the aged group prefer non-chain restaurants (p< 0.05). The survey indicates that chain shops are proffered because of sanitary, quality, taste of foods and are not proffered because of simple menu and expensiveness. The survey indicates that non-chain restaurants are preferred because of distinctive taste of each restaurant and comfotableness, and are not proffered because of unsanitary and unkindness.

국소마취 수술환자의 불편감에 관한 연구 - 도구개발을 중심으로 - (A Study of Perceived Discomfort of The Patients Under Local Anesthesia - Centering Around the Development of Measures -)

  • Background : This study was attempted to provide a basic information necessary for the development of measures evaluating perceived discomfort of the patients under local anesthesia and the developments of nursing intervention and nursing standard. Method : The study subjects were a convenience sample of 100 surgical patients under local anesthesia. The researcher visited the patients directly and explained the purpose of the study to them. Then they were asked to fill out questionnaires which were developed and structured by the researcher, under their prior permission. Out patient's data were collected at recovery room after operation. Results : Factor analysis on measures evaluating the patients under local anesthesia showed that the measures consisted of eight factors including "explanation", "humane treatment", "motion limitation", "pain", "no togetherness", "waiting", "the environment of operating room", and "unkindness". When analyzing each of the factors regarding their degree of contribution to perceived discomfort, it was found that "waiting" was highest in terms of the degree. According to general chara-cteristics of the sampled patients, the factor of "explanation" contributed to perceived discomfort more in male patients than female ones. Regarding parts of medical examination, the patients of otorhinolaryngology felt perceived discomfort most because of the factor of "pain". Conclusion : To relieve perceived discomfort the patients under local anesthesia require providing individually systematized nursing services which can reduce perceived discomfort according to each of the factors. In doing so, an unlimited attention and much effort should be given to realize CQI reaching the dimension of increase in comfort as well as decrease perceived discomfort.

병실 분위기 조성에 영향을 주는 요인 (The Influencing Factors forming the Atmosphere of Ward)

  • Working as nurses, authors found that some patients were not content with their hospital life. Some patients wanted to move to another ward, and others complained about their ward atmosphere. In spite of patients' discomfort, nurses didn't know what made some patients complain about their ward. So, authors tried to find factors that influence atmosphere of hospital wards of the neurosurgery patients. To know the atmosphere of wards, authors selected five neurosurgery ward of a university hospital in Seoul. Observation took a month. An author observed using molar approach, in the morning, in the day time, and in evening time. Authors used concealment /no intervention technique. An author checked condition of people in the wards, and observed their verbal and nonverbal communication behavior their activities and environmental characteristics, and interpreted their meaning through ethnographic research methodology by Spradly. Authors found there was an important factors that influence the atmosphere of ward. It was a human and his attitude. At least one person who was willing to help others made ward atmosphere better. Helping others physically whenever needed, sup-porting the depressed emotionally, offering foods, or talking to others friendly brought good atmosphere. On the contrary, if everyone was indiffernt to others, the atmosphere became cold. Self-centered or selfish behaviors such as occupying too much area, using the toilet too long, covering other's suction bottle without permission and seeing others delicate or urinate were hurtful. In addition to the attitude of patients and their families, unkindness of medical teams including nurses and doctors and tasteless meal caused bad ward atmosphere. Based on this research finding, authors suggest the followings. A For the better atmosphere of ward 1. Nurses should try to make the ward atmosphere better by introducing new patient to older ones. 2. Every ward should have dividing curtains to keep patient's privacy. 3. All hospital personnel should be kind enough to make patients feel that they are repected. 4. Hospital should serve high quality meals to patients. 5. Patients had better stay with those in the similar condition. B. For the future studies 1. Repeated researches are necessary to check reliability of this results. 2. Researches for patients in different area such as ICU, or hemodialysis unit are necessary.

의료서비스 실패유형 재조명: 복구 가능과 복구 불가능 서비스 (Reexamination of Failure Type in Medical Service: Recoverable and Irrecoverable Service)

  • 지금까지 의료서비스에 대한 다양한 연구가 진행되었지만 기존 연구들은 원인변수와 결과변수와의 관계를 규명하는 데만 초점을 두고 있다. 하지만 의료서비스 문제는 다른 서비스 산업과 상대적으로 비교해볼 때 문제 발생 시 고객이 느끼는 감정은 다를 것이라 예측되며, 최근 의료관광과 더불어 의료서비스의 중요성이 부각되는 시점이다. 이에 본 연구는 의료서비스 문제에 관한 정성적 자료를 실증 분석하였으며, 단어구름기법도 이용하였다. 연구의 주요결과를 살펴보면, 의료서비스 문제는 항목별로 의료과실, 간호사 업무미숙, 무심한 진료, 과잉검사 및 진료, 치료강요 및 거부, 응급대기, 불친절, 예약문제, 프로세스문제, 불편함 등 총 10개의 요인으로 나타났다. 그 중 복구 불가능한 서비스 실패에서 가장 많이 산출된 주요 단어는 의료과실, 무심한 진료, 간호사의 업무미숙 순이며, 복구 가능한 서비스 실패에서는 불친절한 태도와 예약시스템에 관한 부정적 경험의 주요 단어가 가장 많이 도출되었다. 의료서비스 문제 후 고객행동은 대부분 강력한 항의를 하며, 아주 심각한 문제에 대해서는 공개적 항의를 하거나 법적대응을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결론에서는 연구결과 요약과 시사점, 그리고 향후 연구에 대한 제언을 하였다.

최근 일부 중국인(中國人)의 중의사(中醫師).중의학(中醫學) 관련 인식(認識).태도(態度) 및 의료행위(醫療行爲)에 관한 연구 (KAP Study on Chinese Traditinal Doctor, Hospital and Medicine in China)

  • The degree of KAP study on Chinease traditional medicine and doctor was examined with some chinease living yenbian district(延邊) from July 1st to August 30th in 1996. The result of the study for predicting health and ill patterns runs as fellows. 1. It is understand to strength and variety about role of chinease traditional medicine doctors and the curable disease. 2. Although most patients go to chinease traditional medicine clinic for the purpose of medicine herbs in package, acupuncture and industry-made pharm, they think the medical fee a little high(70.6%). 3. The 66.7% of respondents recognize chinease traditional medicine doctors as a profession and others think them only abundant works ; therefore it is rather low to ink chinease traditional doctors a profession. 4. Most respondents think that chinease traditional medicine should improved in the inside ; such as scientific reinforcement of theory, lack of univerality, improvment and enlargement of insurance, unkindness, shortage of publicity, dropped equipment, system of medical specialist, lack of integration with westem medicine, exact diagnosis and confidence of remedy, and low efficacy, etc. 5. Chinease likes more experienced-traditional doctor than beginner(78.3%) 6. The policy of korean government against 100 herbal prescription right by western pharmacy has taken the negative recognition(74.6%), 7. The degree that acknowleges of chinease traditional medicine through thease basic contents is average 47.3 mark. To be brief, although the step of the recognition and attitude of oriental medicine is less or very affirmative aspect, actully considerable positive factors is in the last chosen step. In conclusion KAP study connected chinease traditional medicine and doctor has very much postive factors.
