  • The purpose of this study is to analyze space size in the apartment unit plan towards optimal space configuration in order to offer the helpful information to housing designers. For this, we analyzed 432 samples using the Excel 2003 program. The major results of this study are as follows. 1) as the unit size gets bigger, the proportion of the usable area is increased. 2) as the unit size gets bigger, the number of spaces is increased and spaces are divided although they have the same function. 3) living room has the highest proportion in each unit, master room and kitchen are followed. 4) the proportion of living room, kitchen and entrance hall is not fluctuated while that of bedroom and bathroom is decreased. 5) there is a big gap between maximum size and minimum size of kitchen, entrance hall, bathroom and dressing room.

  • We compare a coding space which has an ultra metric with the unit interval which has an associated generalized dyadic expansion. The two spaces are not homeomorphic but dimensionally equivalent in the sense that the Hausdorff and packing dimensions of the corresponding distribution sets in the two spaces coincide.

  • In this paper, we investigate some basic results on the slice regular Besov spaces of hyperholomorphic functions on the unit ball 𝔹. We also characterize the boundedness, compactness and find the essential norm estimates for composition operators between these spaces.

  • We characterize the boundedness and compactness of differences of weighted composition operators acting from weighted Bergman spaces Apω to Lebesgue spaces Lq(dµ) for all 0 < p, q < ∞, where ω is a radial weight on the unit disk admitting a two-sided doubling condition.

  • Lately construction companies are differentiating the outdoor spaces of apartment complexes to satisfy the needs of residents by providing underground parking area and variety of outdoor community spaces. Building walking networks through residential unit area, the major passage area and the entrance area of the complexes is very important factor to increase the use of the outdoor environment in the complexes. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the characteristics and the elements for the planning of exterior pedestrian spaces carefully through the analysis of current large-scale apartment complexes. In this study, the utilization of space, the connectivity to other spaces and the application of Universal design were evaluated through site visits in 5 large-scale apartment complexes. As a result, the utilization of space is well applied in the most of complexes especially in residential unit area. The connectivity to other spaces has low application compared to the others. Universal design is also well applied except sub criteria for the blind in most of complexes. This study will be able to help in providing better exterior pedestrian environment for residents in apartment complexes.

  • With the rapid change of rural communities and increasing desire for social welfare, the demand for the quality of public spaces and facilities is increasing. However, inefficient location of rural public space and facility has caused problems such as economic inefficiency, inconvenient accessibility, environmental pollution, unsustainable energy use, and disturbance of visual landscape. This study aims to evaluate suitability of public spaces and facilities in three types of rural village: rural downtown village, rural clustered village, and individual village. As a way to measure the suitability of public spaces and facilities, we assessed indicators of suitability in terms of accessibility, usability, biophysical environment, and sustainable management. To evaluate the accessibility, we applied indicators such as distance from residential areas, public transit, market and public facilities. For the evaluation of biophysical environment, we applied indicators such as slope, elevation, aspect, and occurrence of natural disasters. We analyzed digital maps representing the indicators listed above using GIS. We also conducted a survey and face-to-face interviews to evaluate usability and sustainability of management which are not possible to understand through maps. As a result, we identified that suitability of public spaces and facilities in downtown villages is higher than clustered and individual villages. In particular, suitability of infrastructure facilities, social welfare facilities, and income generation facilities in downtown village are higher than those in clustered and individual villages. The suitability of tourism facilities is generally lower than other types of public facility across the three types of villages. Tourism facilities in clustered village have been identified especially unsuitable compared to other types of villages. We expect the outcome of the research is helpful to improve allocation of public spaces and facilities in rural villages.

  • This paper deals with Littlewood-Paley type estimates of the Besov spaces {{{{ { B}`_{p,q } ^{$\alpha$ } }}}} on the d-dimensional unit cube for 0< p,q<$\infty$ by two certain classes. These classes are including biorthogonal wavelet systems or dual multiscale systems but not necessarily obtained as the dilates or translates of certain fixed functions. The main assumptions are local supports of both classes, sufficient smoothness for one class, and sufficiently many vanishing moments for the other class. With these estimates, we characterize the Besov spaces by coefficient norms of decompositions with respect to biorthogonal wavelet systems on the cube.

  • Let H(B) denote the space of all holomorphic functions on the unit ball B of $\mathbb{C}^n$. Let $\varphi$ = (${\varphi}_1,{\ldots}{\varphi}_n$) be a holomorphic self-map of B and $g{\in}2$(B) with g(0) = 0. In this paper we study the boundedness and compactness of the generalized composition operator $C_{\varphi}^gf(z)=\int_{0}^{1}{\mathfrak{R}}f(\varphi(tz))g(tz){\frac{dt}{t}}$ from generalized weighted Bergman spaces into Bloch type spaces.
