Design of Operating room Patients Location System for u-Hospital (u-Hospital 환경에서의 수술실 환자 위치추적 시스템 설계)

  • RFID is estimated to have great potential for hospitals to reduce various costs, reconsider patients' safety, and provide high quality medical service. As the ubiquitous technology allows the medical market to expand, medical centers all around the country are fiercely competing against one another. In order to increase the hospital's competitive edge by reducing IT expenses and concentrating on medical practice, the need to establish a u-Hospital using advanced IT technology is rapidly rising. This paper implements an RFID based u-Hospital system by using ubiquitous computing technology to design a location tracking device for all surgical patients, which can secure the patients' safety and increase the quality of medical service through interlocking hospital information systems.

  • The U.S. has recently developed Free and Open Indo-Pacific strategy and Distributed Lethality strategy based on a common perception that they are responding to China's threats. In the future, it is anticipated the following. Strengthen cooperation of the U.S.-India-Vietnam navy, Maximizing the combined combat power between the U.S. and regional navies, Improving its ability to restore damage control, Economic cooperation between the Pacific and Indian countries. The meanings given to the Korean navy are as follows. First, South Korea should pursue cooperation with the Indian Navy, which will grow into a regional balance on China's growth. The growth of the Indian navy is expected to increase cooperation with other Pacific countries. The government should seek ways to promote cooperation with india navy in various fields. Secondly, it is a joint drill between the U.S. Navy and the Korean Navy. Recently, the Korea-U.S. joint drill has not been conducted and many changes are expected to be made regarding the implementation of the joint drill in the future. Therefore, it is necessary to respond to possible changes in the naval relationship between Korea navy and the U.S. navy Also, due to distributed lethality strategy, preparations for operations and training with U.S.navy will be necessary. Lastly, it should contribute to cooperation among regional countries in preparation for maritime territorial disputes. The growth of the Chinese navy and the territorial disputes in the East and South China sea has raised the possibility of accidental military clashes at sea. Therefore, the government should make efforts to create multilateral security cooperation systems that can continue to promote the prevention of armed conflict.

The Design and Manufactured of U-Slot Broadband Antenna using L-Shaped 800MHz Band (800MHz 대역용 L형 급전구조를 이용한 U-Slot 광대역 안테나 설계 및 제작)

  • In this paper, we have designed 800[MHz] broad band antenna that is improves a narrow bandwidth problem of microstrip antenna and it will be able to integrate GSM, TRS band including the CDMA band. It had L-shaped feeding structure and added the U-slot it used a duplex resonance effect. Also for the improvement of profit the stack it did with the perpendicular. It seems to be good quality that design and manufactured antenna frequency bandwidth(VSWR 2:1) is 789~1086[MHz] with 297[MHz](33%). Also the E-plan and H-plan all profit 9.4[dBi] above, 3[dB] beam width was visible the quality which above $61^{\circ}$ is improved.

General Pharmacological Properties of Recombinant Human Parathyroid Hormone (재조합 부갑상선 흘몬의 일반약리작용)

  • General pharmacological properties of recombinant human parathyroid hormone (hPTH) were examined. The administration of hPTH (7, 35 and 175 lU/kg sc) in mice had no effects in general behavior and central nervous system, and no influences on normal body temperature, writhing syndromes induced by 0.7% acetic acid solution and chemoshock produced by strychnine and pentetrazol solution. hPTH (9 and 44 lU/kg, sc) given to anesthetized rabbits showed no effect on blood pressure of carotid artery and respiration, and it did not influence the responses produced by injection of acetylcholine or epinephrine. It showed no direct effect at 4.4$\times$10$_{-2}$IU/ml in isolated stomach fundus and uterus of rats and ileum of guinea-pig, and it also showed no inhibition of contraction produced by acetylcholine, oxytocin, serotonin and histamine in the above-mentioned preparations. It did not influence intestinal propulsion at the doses of 7,35 and 175 lU/kg sc in mice. This drug exhibited no effect on urinary excretion at the doses of 7 and 35 lU/kg sc in rats. However, at a dose of 175 lU/kg sc, it showed a decreased urination along with decreased excretion of potassium, sodium and chloride ion. These results indicate that hPTH does not exert any of serious pharmacological effects except the inhibition of urination at a highest dose used.

  • For smart defense innovation, the key is to apply state-of-the-art technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution to national defense. In order to apply state-of-the-art technology to the defense sector, we need to apply and develop technologies to analyze and respond to uncertain future operational environments. To this end, our military is investing a lot of time and effort. To understand future operational environment analysis and to apply and develop our military, we explored the perspectives of operational environment analysis in major countries and studied specific cases of U.S. troops with systematic analysis functions. The U.S. Army has established a cooperative system to analyze future operational environment under the leadership of the Education Command and operates the organization organically. It also utilizes the collective intelligence of expert groups in various fields by utilizing the MSC, and it is time for the Korean military to take the lead in keeping with the era of transformation. To that end, the organization of the U.S. Education Command should be benchmarked and the Korean Future Operation Environment Analysis Organization should be established and operated. Through this study, we have developed an understanding of the future operational environment analysis system of the U.S. Army and presented a plan to apply the ROK MND.

  • As the concept of Ubiquitous Computing has become an important issue, we need to have a voice in the field of Transportation. Ubiquitous Computing means that IT network based on realization of 5 Any(Anytime, Anywhere, Anything, Anynetwork, Anydevice) is deeply penetrated into our daily life. As ITS has developed with the aid of IT and Transportation Technology together, we need to discuss u-Transportation concept with Ubiquitous Computing and Transportation Technology. According to the recent papers and studies, Transportation or Transportation Information sector is mentioned as a major application of Ubiquitous Computing. However, most of the studies are limited to the basic concept without any in-depth understanding about Transportation. This paper present the implementation of u-Transportation and the role of Transportation Technology based on recent technology trend.

Exploratory Study of Success Factors for U-Health System and Analysis of It's Weight (U-Health 서비스의 성과에 영향을 미치는 성공요인과 중요도 분석)

  • This study was to analyze the influences of various factors on the u-health service. Data was surveyed from experienced of u-Health service sectors. We measured legal support, IT-infra, user education, the user education, and the u-Health solution, are the critical success factors for the u-Health service. Also we evaluated u-Health services by survey data from the users. We did also the research to evaluate the validity and reliability of these factors. After that the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) was applied to measure the weights among these factors. Factor analysis resulted in 6 major factors (Eigenvalue > 1.0). The AHP analysis showed the list of Critical Success Factors weighted by its significance priorities. The results of this paper could be the valuable references for the policy making process of the u-Health system in Korea.

  • An experimental study on the sorption of U(VI) onto a Korean granite was performed as a function of the geochemical parameters such as contact time, pH, ionic strength, and carbonate concentration using a batch procedure. The distribution coefficient,$K_d$, was about 1-200 mL/g depending on the experimental conditions. The sorption of U(VI) onto granite particles was greatly dependent upon the contact time, pH, and carbonate concentration, but insignificantly dependent on the ionic strength. It was noticed that the sorption of U(VI) onto granite particles was highly correlated with the uranium speciation in the solution, which was dependent on the pH and carbonate concentrations. It was deduced from the kinetic sorption experiment that a two-step first-order kinetic behavior could dominate the kinetic sorption of U(VI) onto granite particles. In the alkaline range of a pH above 7, U(VI) sorption was greatly decreased and this might be due to the formation of anionic U(VI)-carbonate aqueous complexes as predicted by the speciation calculations.

  • 최근 들어 소득과 교육 수준의 향상으로 인하여 생활환경과 여가시간 그리고 건강에 대한 관심이 높아지면서 U-City와 지속 가능한 생태 도시에 대한 사람들의 관심이 증가되고 있다. 이러한 삶의 질 향상에 따라 최근 국토 해양부에서는 U-City에 더불어 지속 가능한 생태계 순환기능과 첨단 IT기술이 결합된 U-Eco City에 대한 연구가 진행되고 있다. U-Eco City는 첨단의 IT기술을 집대성한 유비쿼터스 기술과 생태계 순환기능 등의 생태 기술이 인간, 자연 그리고 공간으로 연결되는 혁신적이고 창의적인 도시환경과 무한한 도시가치를 창출하는 지속가능한 미래형 첨단 친환경 생태도시를 말한다. U-Eco City는 보다나은 생활환경을 추구하고자 하는 인간의 욕구를 충족시킬 수 있는 미래형 지속가능한 생태환경 도시로서 많은 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 특히 미국과 영국에서는 활발한 연구가 이루어지고 있다. U-Eco City는 더 나은 삶을 향한 인간의 끝임 없는 욕구 충족을 위해서 지속적인 연구가 필요하다. 하지만 아직은 U-Eco City를 도시 브랜드화 하기 위한 체계적인 연구가 미비한 상황이며, 특히 U-Eco City를 도시 브랜드화 하기위한 필수적인 단계인 인증과 관련된 부문에 연구가 많이 이루어지지 않고 있다. 따라서 현재 통용되는 인증 제도를 통한 체계적인 제도의 정립, 인증 기준의 마련뿐만 아니라 인증을 위한 세부 지침의 마련 등이 필요하다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 U-Eco City 개발 기발 요소 기술들을 기존의 인증기관을 통해 인정을 받을 수 방법들을 제시하고, 그 외의 요소기술들은 인증 기준을 제시하고, 인증기관을 인정하기 위하여 세부기준을 마련하도록 하였다, 다음은 신기술, 신제품 등, 인증을 받을 수 있는 제도적, 법적, 절차를 제시하였다. 본 연구는 인증제도를 통하여 U-Eco City를 도시 브랜드화를 하여 국내외 시장에 공급하고, 향후 개발될 U-Eco 기술인증업무를 지속적으로 수행하도록 하는데 그 목적이 있다.

Development of u-Health standard terminology and guidelines for terminology standardization (유헬스 표준용어 및 용어 표준화 가이드라인 개발)

  • For understanding of terminology related to u-Health and activating u-Health industry, it is required to develop u-Health standard terminology for communication. The purpose of this study is to develop u-Health standard terminology and provides guidelines for terminology standardization in order to develop the u-Health standard terminology. We finally developed the 187 u-Health standard terminology through the process of data acquisition, term extraction, term refinement, term selection and term management based on reports, glossary and Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) standards about u-Health. As a result, the standard terminology and guidelines of u-Health optimized to the domestic environment were suggested. They included details of definition, classification, components, the methods and principles of the process for u-Health standard terminology. Presented in this study, u-Health standard terminology and guidelines for terminology standardization would assist the cost-reducing of employing terminology and management of it, while making information transfer easy. This would make possible promoting efficient development of u-Health industry in general.
