전류-컨베이어(CCII)를 사용한 새로운 계측 증폭기 설계 (Design of a Novel Instrumentation Amplifier using Current-conveyor(CCII))

  • 저가, 광대역, 그리고 넓은 이득 제어 범위를 갖는 전자 계측 시스템을 실현하기 위한 정극성 전류 컨베이어(positive polarity current-conveyor : CCII+)를 사용한 새로운 계측 증폭기(instrumentation amplifier : IA)를 설계하였다. 이 IA는 두 개의 CCII+, 세 개의 저항 그리고 한 개의 연산 증폭기(operational amplifier : op-amp)로 구성된다. 동작 원리는 두 입력 전압의 차가 전압 및 전류 폴로워(follower) 사용되는 두 개의 CCII+에 의해 각각 동일한 전류로 변환되고 이 전류는 op-amp의 (+)단자의 저항기와 귀환 저항기를 통과시켜 출력 전압을 구하는 것이다. IA의 동작 원리를 확인하기 위해 AB급 CCII+를 설계하였고 상용 op-amp LF356을 사용하여 IA를 구현하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과 CCII+를 사용한 전압 폴로워는 ${\pm}$4V의 선형범위에서 0.21mV의 오프셋 전압을 갖고 있었다. IA는 1개의 저항기의 저항값 변화로 -20dB~+60dB의 이득을 갖고 있으며, 60dB에 대한 -3dB 주파수는 400kHz이였다. 제안한 IA의 외부의 저항기의 정합이 필요 없고 다른 저항기로 오프셋을 조절할 수 있는 장점을 갖고 있다. 소비전력은 ${\pm}$5V 공급전압에서 130mW이였다.

Characteristics and Model for Growth of Rhizopus oryzae on the Simulated Gas-solid Interface

  • In order to investigate the effect on morphology of Rhizopus oryzae and production of lactic acid, various interface materials were used. Morphology of fungal showed sheet and flock when resin was added. The production of lactic acid was increased dramatically when interface materials were added. Furthermore, the effect of resin was more significant than that of others. It was assumed that interface materials could absorb substrate and microorganism together, so microorganism was not inhibited by substrate. The effect of static electric field on the interface culture was studied. When the exerting potential was 6.78 voltage, the biomass y was obviously higher than that of zero voltage. A simulated gas-solid interface system was developed to study the growth and two phases model for the growth of Rhizopus oryzae was build up that depended on the symmetric branching theory. An important parameter F was researched. The results indicated that the value of F had obvious difference at exponential and deceleration period, respectively.

역기전력 추정법을 이용한 브러시리스 직류 전동기의 홀센서 상전류 전환시점 보상 방법 (Position Correction Method for Misaligned Hall-Effect Sensor of BLDC Motor using BACK-EMF Estimation)

  • This paper proposes a new position compensation method for misaligned Hall-effect sensors of BLDCM(Brushless DC Motor). If the Hall-effect sensors are installed at wrong position, the exact rotor position cannot be obtained. Therefore, when the BLDCM is controlled with this wrong position, the torque ripple can be increased and the average torque also decreases. The back-EMF of BLDCM can be obtained by using the voltage equation and by multiplying the back-EMF constant and rotor speed. At a constant speed, the estimated back-EMF by using the multiplication of the back-EMF constant and rotor speed is constant, but the estimated back-EMF from the voltage equation decreases at the commutation point because the line-to-line back-EMF of two conducting phases is start to decrease at this point. Therefore, by using the difference between these two estimated back-EMFs, the commutation point of the phase current can be determined and position compensation can be carried out. The proposed position correction method doesn't require additional hardware circuit and can be easily implemented. The validity of the proposed position compensation method is verified through several experiments.

  • A battery is the device that transforms the chemical energy into the direct-current electrical energy without a mechanical process. Unit cells are connected in series to obtain the required voltage while being connected in parallel to organize capacity for load current. Because the voltage drop down in one set of battery is faster than in two one it may result in the low efficiency of power converter with the voltage drop and cause the system shutdown. However when the system being shutdown. However when the system being driven in parallel a circular-current can be generated,. It is shown that as a result the new batteries are heated by over-charge and over-discharge and the over charge current increases rust of the positive grid and consequently shortens the lifetime of the new batteries. The difference between the new batteries and old ones is the amount of internal resistance. In this paper we can detect the unbalance current using the microprocessor and achieve the balance current by adjusting resistance of each set, The internal resistance of each set becomes constant and the current of charge and discharge comes to be balanced by inserting the external resistance into the system and calculating the change of internal resistance.

수소연료전지자동차용 절연저항 측정시스템 개발에 관한 연구 (Study on Development of the Isolation Resistance Measurement System for Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicle)

  • Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicle(HFCV) is system that uses electrical energy of fuel cell stack to main power source, which is different system with other vehicles that use high-voltage, large-current. Isolation performance of this system which is connected with electrical fire and electrical shock is important point. Isolation resistance of electric installation is divided according to working voltage, it follows criterion more than $100{\Omega}$/VDC (or $500{\Omega}$/VAC) about system operation voltage in a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle. Although measurement of isolation resistance in a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle is two methods, it uses mainly measurement by megger. However, the present isolation resistance measurement system that is optimized to use in electrical facilities is unsuitable for isolation performance estimation of a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle because of limit of maximum short current and difference of measurement resolution. Therefore, this research developed the isolation resistance measurement system so that may be suitable in isolation performance estimation of a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle, verified isolation performance about known resistance by performance verification of laboratory level about developed system, and executed performance verification through comparing results of developed system by performance verification of vehicle level with ones of existing megger. Developed system is judged to aid estimation and upgrade of isolation performance in a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle hereafter.

Influence of Processing Conditions on PVDF Properties

  • Study of the main properties of PVDF films produced by two processing technologies such as hot pressing from a melt or solution casting was the aim of this paper. All samples were prepared of as-received PVDF powder. First group of samples was prepared by the hot pressing. Second group of samples was prepared by the solution casting method. PVDF powder was dissolved in dimethylformamide. To characterize properties of samples, different experimental methods such as FRA (dielectric spectroscopy), IR-spectroscopy and DSC/TGA analysis were used in this work. It was found that IR-spectra of both studied groups do not change compared to that for virgin PVDF powder. It confirms that molecular structure is practically independent on the processing technology of samples. The only difference has been found that new band centered at $1723\;cm^{-1}$ appears for samples prepared by the hot pressing method. This absorption band is related with formation of C=C bonds in samples prepared by the hot pressing method in contrast both to PVDF powder and samples prepared by the solution casting method.

  • In this paper, partial discharge(PD) was generated under the two types of needle -plane electrodes in the air. Using a monopole antenna to detect the radiated electromagnetic waves by stream of charge between the electrodes. the progress of partial discharge was studied. To analyze the progress of PD, statistical re-search was introduced. It was executed by personal computer and it can be possible to visualize the progress of PD. The t-test was used for lower voltage applied. The population of background noise spectrum and applied voltage spectrum showed the difference. The new method was introduced to analyze the spectrum. According tho the magnitude of applied voltage, the different statistical methods were used. The results obtained from this work will provide the useful information on partial discharge in time to come.

SiGe p-FinFET의 C-V 특성을 이용한 평균 계면 결함 밀도 추출과 Terman의 방법을 이용한 검증 (Extraction of Average Interface Trap Density using Capacitance-Voltage Characteristic at SiGe p-FinFET and Verification using Terman's Method)

  • 고주파에서 이상적인 커패시턴스-전압 곡선과 결함이 존재하여 늘어진 커패시턴스-전압 곡선을 SiGe p-FinFET 시뮬레이션을 이용하여 보였다. 두 곡선이 게이트 전압 축으로 늘어진 전압 차이를 이용하여 평균적인 계면 결함 밀도를 구할 수 있었다. 또한 같은 특성을 이용하는 Terman의 방법으로 에너지에 따른 계면 결함 밀도를 추출하고, 동일한 에너지 구간에서 평균값을 구하였다. 전압 차이로 구한 평균 계면 결함 밀도를 Terman의 방법으로 구한 평균값과 비교하여, 두 방법의 결과가 거의 비슷한 평균 계면 결함 밀도를 나타낸다는 것을 검증하였다.

Evaluation of Images Depending on an Attenuation Correction in a Brain PET/CT Scan

  • A Hoffman 3D Brain Phantom was used to evaluate two PET/CT scanners, BIO_40 and D_690, according to the radiation dose of CT (low, medium and high) at a fixed kilo-voltage-peak (kVp) with the tube current(mA) varied in 17~20 stages(Bio_40 PET/CT scanner: the tube voltage was fixed to 120 kVp, the effective tube current(mAs) was increased from 33 mAs to 190 mAs in 10 mAs increments, D_690 PET/CT scanner: the tube voltage was fixed to 140 kVp, tube current(mA) was increased from 10 mAs to 200 mAs in 10 mAs increments). After obtaining the PET image, an attenuation correction was conducted based on the attenuation map, which led to an analysis of the difference in the image. First, the ratio of white to gray matter for each scanner was examined by comparing the coefficient of variation (CV) depending on the average ratio. In addition, a blind test was carried out to evaluate the image. According to the study results, the BIO_40 and D_690 scanners showed a <1% change in CV value due to the tube current conversion. The change in the coefficients of white and gray matter showed that the Z value was negative for both scanners, indicating that the coefficient of gray matter was higher than that of white matter. Moreover, no difference was observed when the images were compared in a blind test.

보상용 브릿지를 이용한 압저항형 압력센서의 온도보상 방법 (Temperature compensation method of piezoresistive pressure sensor using compensating bridge)

  • The absolute pressure sensor using SDB wafer has been fabricated. the structure of the sensor consists of two wheatstone bridges and a diaphragm. One of the two wheatstone bridges is located on the edge of diaphragm, and the other is located on the center of diaphragm. The diaphragm cavity is sealted in vacuum (~10$^{5}$ Torr) to reduce the effect of temperature due to the vapor in the cavity on the sensitivity of pressure sensor. This is the minor method of temperature compensation method. In this experiment the main compensation method is to use the difference of the two bridge offset voltages. The drift of offset voltage with temperature is reduced by using this method so that temperature charcteristics is improved. In this method the temperature effect in the range of 22~100.deg. C was compensated over 80%.
