지식 상호보완성과 신뢰가 IT 아웃소싱 효과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (The Effects of Knowledge Complementarities and Trust on IT Outsourcing Effectiveness)

  • Increasingly the information technology (IT) outsourcing phenomenon has been a subject of much academic research. Scholars have argued that knowledge complementarities playa crucial role in forming successful IT outsourcing relationships. However, notwithstanding the fast growth of IT outsourcing, prior studies on IT outsourcing have not included knowledge complementarities in their research design as a determining factor for IT outsourcing effectiveness. Further, the understanding of knowledge complementarities itself remains ambiguous. In this study, the concept of knowledge complementarities is explored in the IT outsourcing context at the firm level. Specifically, it addresses the following questions: what is knowledge complementarities? How does it affect IT outsourcing effectiveness? Is the relationship between knowledge complementarities and IT outsourcing effectiveness influenced by organizational trust between the client and the vendor? Grounded in the relevant theories to knowledge management and IT outsourcing, we develop a research model in which both the main effects of knowledge complementarities and organizational trust and the moderating effect of organizational trust on the relationships between knowledge complementarities and IT outsourcing effectiveness are tested. Within this research model, we develop a second order construct of knowledge complementarities, consisting of complementary business knowledge and complementary IT knowledge as the first order constructs. We have used data from a field study of 103 firms in Korea to test the proposed model. Controlling the effects of conflict resolution efforts, our empirical analysis found significant main effects of knowledge complementarities and organizational trust on IT outsourcing effectiveness. The results suggest that knowledge complementarities between the client and vendor positively contribute to IT outsourcing effectiveness. Specifically, the client needs to have enough IT knowledge to assess the quality of IT outsourcing services provided by the vendor. Meanwhile, the vendor should understand the client's business well enough to provide IT services, Contrary to our expectations, the moderating effect of trust on the relationship between knowledge complementarities and IT outsourcing effectiveness was not supported in this study. The results also show that organizational trust between client and vendor significantly influences IT outsourcing effectiveness. As for contributions of this study, we have not only clarified the concept of knowledge complementarities, but also developed an instrument to measure the concept and empirically validated it. Further, we have tested the idea that knowledge complementarities and trust directly influence IT outsourcing effectiveness and trust moderates the relationship between knowledge complementarities and IT outsourcing effectiveness. Out results prescribe the knowledge complementarities of client and vendor as a useful path to IT outsourcing effectiveness. These findings have important theoretical and practical implications, which are discussed in the paper.

The Effects of Use of Instant Messenger on Purchase Intention: The Context of Chinese C2C E-Commerce

  • In recent years, C2C e-commerce has become more and more popular in China. Chinese C2C buyers use an instant messaging more commonly during transactions compared to other countries, which seems to be an interesting phenomenon. Based on the Chinese market, this study aims to examine the role of instant messenger in the C2C e-commerce context and to find how it impacts buyers' purchase intentions. In addition to use of instant messenger, we brought in two antecedents of purchase intention-trust for vendor and customer satisfaction-to establish a theoretical research model. Through an online questionnaire survey, we tested and analyzed the research model and its related hypotheses. Structural equation modeling was used to analyze the data, and the results indicated that use of instant messenger did not directly influence purchase intention but had positive effects both on trust for vendor and customer satisfaction, which in turn influenced purchase intention. In conclusion, we discussed the research findings and suggested some implications for researchers and practitioners.

부동산 이중매매와 그 예방 (Real Estate Double Contract and It's Prevention)

  • 우리나라의 부동산거래는 매매당사자가 거래조건에 합의한 후 계약서를 작성한다 매수인은 매도인에게 계약금을 지급하고 잔금지급일과의 사이에 중도금을 지불 한 후 잔금지급과 등기이전서류를 동시에 교부하여 등기를 하는 방식으로 거래가 이루어지고 있다. 그러나 부동산거래는 계약일로부터 등기이전을 마칠 때까지의 사기, 횡령, 배임에 의한 이중매매 등 여러 가지 사고가 잠재되어 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고 매수인은 등기이전을 완료하기 전까지 정보의 비대칭으로 인하여 매도인에게 일방적으로 당하게 되어 있다. 이러한 책임 공백상태를 ESCROW제도를 이용하면 매도인의 배임에 의한 이중매매를 효과적으로 방지할 수 있을 것이다.

온라인 정보가 소셜커머스 구매에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Online Information on a Consumer's Purchase at Social Commerce Websites)

  • 본 연구에서는 온라인 정보가 소셜커머스 구매자의 구매결정에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 일반적으로 소셜커머스 소비자들이 구매과정에서 이용하는 정보는 사용자 생성 콘텐츠와 판매자 생성 콘텐츠로 나뉜다. 이들 정보유형별로 소비자 구매 의도에 미치는 영향력에 차이가 있을 것으로 예상되며, 이 문제의 해결안은 소셜커머스 사이트 운영자가 어떤 정보 제공원에 보다 관리 초점을 두어야 하는지에 대한 방향을 알려줄 수 있다. 분석을 위하여 온라인 공간에 대한 불확실성의 대책으로 이용되는 신뢰를 매개 변수로 활용하였다. 신뢰 유형은 판매자 측면과 정보 측면으로 나누어서 개체 신뢰와 콘텐츠 신뢰로 세분하였다. 분석결과에 의하면, 판매자 생성 콘텐츠(일반 거래 정보와 안전 거래 정보)는 모두 개체 신뢰에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 하지만 사용자 생성 콘텐츠는 명성만이 개체 신뢰에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 그리고 소셜커머스 소비자의 구매 의도는 개체 신뢰로부터만 유의한 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 단기적으로는 소셜커머스 사이트 운영자가 통제가능한 정보 유형인 판매자 생성 콘텐츠(일반 거래 정보와 안전 거래 정보)를 중심으로 소비자의 구매 의도를 높일 수 있는 방안을 모색할 필요가 있다. 장기적으로는 소셜커머스 사이트 운영자의 통제가 어렵고, 형성에 시간이 많이 소요되는 사용자 생성 콘텐츠인 명성을 중심으로 소비자의 구매 의도를 높일 수 있는 방안의 모색이 필요하다.

전자상거래 고객가치 요인의 한·중 비교 (A Comparison on the Factors Influencing Customer Values in Electronic Commerce between Korea and China)

  • Means-Ends Network model was used to identify factors of means objective(means supplied by vendor) and fundamental objectives(purchasing motivations) for purchasing decision-making structure and dimensions of customer values on purchasers of internet shopping mall in Korea and China. In Means-Ends Network 6 factors(shopping travel, shipping assurance, vendor trust, online payment, product choice, and recommender systems) were found as a means objectives and 3 factors(shopping convenience, internet environment, customer support) as a fundamental objectives of shopping. However the results of hypotheses test for Means-Ends Network show some important differences between two countries. Something important to notice here is that Chinese customers shopping in China recognize shipping assurance factor and vendor trust factor as important factors satisfying all fundamental objectives unlike as in the case of our country. As these two factors are attribution factors responsible to the sellers, it is identified that customers do not trust the sellers and sellers have not met the expectations of customers. Therefore, these results show that the seller efforts assuring the reliability of the seller themselves, such as conducting its own compensation scheme are more important rather than the establishment of the guarantee institution to guarantee reliability and delivery assurance of sellers and implementation of legal and institutional apparatus such as the settlement of e-commerce licence system. Though this study presents such an important marketing implications, it can be pointed out that the limits are this research was done on the general Internet shopping malls without considering the Internet shopping mall types of diversity, the survey was designed around the student samples for convenience of the investigation because it was an international survey and the collected data has been limited to the western coast cities, such as China's Beijing, Shanghai, and Dalian.

신뢰형성이 인터넷쇼핑몰의 이용에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Trust on the Usage of Internet Shopping Mall)

  • A lack of trust in the technical and institutional environments surrounding the web can hinder e-commerce adoption, because Internet social cues are minimal and trust is difficult th establish. Web vendors must act purposefully to overcome consumer perceptions of uncertainty and risk by building trust-both in their own web sites and in the broader Internet environments. Trust makes consumers comfortable by sharing personal information making purchases, and acting on web vendor advice-behaviors essential to wide-spread adoption of e-commerce. Understanding the nature and antecedents of trust is, therefore, a major issue for both Internet researchers and practitioners. Prior research on e-commerce trust has used diverse, incomplete, and inconsistent definitions of trust therefore, making it difficult to compare results across studies. This study tried to and the empirical relationships among the trust-related factors on the usage of Internet shooing mall. The model includes five high-level constructs-disposition to trust institution-based trust trusting beliefs, trusting intention and environmental factors. The results showed that the disposition to trust and the environmental factors had a significant effect on the web site trust however, their effect was not consistent Moreover, the model suggested in this study need to be extended including with the more sociological factors and results in this study required to be verified with those extended model.

온라인 마켓플레이스의 신뢰 형성과 다차원적 제도적 메커니즘의 역할 (The Role of Multi-dimensional Institutional Mechanisms in Building Trust on Online Marketplaces)

  • Purpose This study was conducted to identify the multidimensional role of institutional mechanisms in the linear relationship of satisfaction, trust and repurchase intention, which are used as an important concept in the research of e-commerce. To this end, a research model was proposed by combining concepts which are the concept of perceived effectiveness of institutional mechanisms for overall e-commerce environment(e.g., PEEIM) and the concep of perceived effectiveness of institutional structures(e.g., PEIS) of a specific marketplace based on the social cognitive theory. Design/methodology/approach This study was conducted by dividing the data into two groups to identify institutional mechanisms and trust-building relationships according to the institutional contexts inherent in e-commerce. The institutional contexts were set up for the top two online companies and the bottom two online companies according to the results of the open market brand assessment from 2018 to 2019 in South Korea. Findings The result of this study found that PEIS had a direct impact on trust in both high and low groups respectively whereas PEEIM presented different paradoxical results in high and low groups. In the relationship between the satisfaction and the trust in the vendor of the high group, PEEIM showed negative moderating effects but in the relationship between the trust and the repurchase intention of the low group PEEIM showed positive moderating effects.

  • 본 연구는 기존의 브랜드 확장 연구를 기반으로 하여 소비자들이 인터넷 브랜드 확장을 평가할 때 영향을 미치는 요인들에 관하여 연구하였다. 특히, 본 연구에서는 온라인 특성을 감안하여 인터넷 벤더에 대한 신뢰라는 변수를 새롭게 도입하였고, 이러한 신뢰가 인터넷 브랜드 확장 평가에 미치는 영향을 알아보았다. 사례 분석 결과 인터넷 브랜드는 확장 제품의 유사성의 영향보다는 소비자 경험에 의해 축적된 인터넷 벤더에 대한 신뢰가 인터넷 브랜드 확장 평가에 긍정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다.

  • The unit of competition is not a single firm any more but group of firms. They make a supply chain and compete with other chains. In this study we investigate success factors of supply chains from the supplying firms perspective. We consider various success factors such as commitmet trust communication confilct re-solving techniques vendor selection process and incentive systems. A set of hypotheses is tested based on the data collected from the electronics and automobile part manufacturers. Samples are divided by the length of the relationship between the vendor and assembler. joint problem solving under the long-term relationship plays an important role for the success of the supply chain. The findings offer insight into how to better manage the sup-ply chains.

  • The objective of this research is to identify the process of knowledge transfer and to examine the effect of IT human capability on knowledge transfer in information systems outsourcing. Through a field survey, it is found that clients' IT human capability significantly affects on cooperative learning with vendors and knowledge transfer from vendors to clients. The survey also shows that clients' trust with vendors indirectly enhances the knowledge transfer by increasing the cooperative learning. This study provides a solution of knowledge transfer problem in information systems outsourcing. Also it brings out issues that can be accrued in the outsourcing situation, such as clients' dependency on vendors and knowledge asymmetries developed in favor of the vendors. These issues should be topics for future research on information systems outsourcing.
