  • This study aims to analyze research trends related to the exhaustion of hotel employees and social workers and present the tasks and directions of future exhaustion research for hotel employees and social workers. To this end, 423 candidates for registration and registration of the Korea Research Foundation from 2012 to 2022 and master's and doctoral dissertations (178 papers) were analyzed according to the research period, research topics, research subjects, and research methods. As a result, from 29 papers in 2012, 49 studies were published in 2013, and 53 studies in 2020, indicating that they are gradually rising. Second, job burnout was the highest among hotel employees and social workers, followed by interpersonal relationships, practice, career, techno, safety accidents, and job burnout. Third, hotel employees and social workers were the highest among the subjects related to the exhaustion of hotel employees and social workers, followed by hotel employees and social workers. Fourth, quantitative research was conducted the most as a method for the exhaustion of hotel employees and social workers, and qualitative research was conducted a lot. According to these research results the study suggests that it is necessary to rediscover the meaning of research on burnout of hotel employees and social workers, which directly affects hotel employees and social workers, and to find ways for hotel employees and social workers to feel less burnout.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the current status and research trends of the efficiency assessment of scientific research and development in Chinese universities over the last 10 years through social network analysis(SNA). The data used in the analysis were extracted from 589 papers from CNKI academic archives in China and analyzed among them 190 papers directly related to the evaluation of scientific research and development efficiency. The analysis showed that the present state of science and technology research efficiency assessment in Chinese universities, identifying research trends, major factors on scientific research and development and major factors promoting exchanges of scientific research. This study can provide positive meaning to facilitate the development of scientific research and development in universities, enhance scientific research management and promote knowledge exchange. This study has limitations in comprehensively analyzing scientific research trends in the actual Chinese research environment. Subsequent studies need to compare trends in China and other countries.

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to explore research trends in childhood executive function in Korean academic journal articles. This study showed which population groups were studied, which factors of executive function were measured, and which domains were studied in the selected articels. Methods: A systematic review of empirical studies of childhood executive function published in Korean academic journals from 2006 to 2016 was conducted. Through searching the KERIS database, 60 empirical studies were selected for review. Results: The results of the analyses showed that the population group the most studied was normal young children and that factors of executive function most studied were inhibition, cognitive flexibility, and working memory. Conclusion: Based on this systematic review of empirical studies of childhood executive function, several suggestions for future research are addressed.

  • This study aimed to identify the trends of related research as a basic study for the development of creative convergent formative education program of natural structure concept. This study sought to identify research trends present in previous studies. The nature structure of the preliminary research was limited to the three concepts: (i) fractal ; (ii) kinetic and (iii) biomimicry. In this study, the trends of domestic research in the last 10 years related to the concept of natural structure were analyzed using academic research information service. It was found that, to date, little research has been conducted on the three concepts across education fields. In relation to the fractal concept, previous research has focused on mathematics. This preliminary study sought to review the abovementioned three concepts or the development of a modeling education program. It should be significant, if an education program adopted unlimited modeling principles to understand the innate features of the nature structure. However, very few education programs have adopted the three concepts of the nature structure. Future studies would seek to review international research trends based on the three concepts of the nature structure and combine the results on international research trends with the results on domestic research trends found in this study.

  • Educational technology (ET) and learning sciences (LS) are two related disciplines that have shared interests in studying technologies for advancing human learning. This study conducted a content analysis of articles published in authoritative academic journals, Educational Technology Research and Development (ETR&D) and Journal of the Learning Sciences (JLS) from 2003 to 2012. By selecting and examining 93 issues with 429 articles during this decade with three analytical frameworks, the purpose of this study is to determine research trends precisely and create a scientific communication and theoretical connections for these two disciplines. The illustrated results indicate the dialogue between these two communities has begun yet accompanied by some certain limitations, whereas, they still need be more cooperative and communicational to move towards further integration, so as to contribute to promoting progressive education, learning theory and practice.

  • Tactile sensors, which are commonly referred to as pressure and strain sensors, have been extensively investigated to meet the demands for attachable and wearable electronics for monitoring the health status or activity of human users. For this purpose, the introduction of two-dimensional (2D) materials such as graphene and transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) with high mechanical strength at the atomic scale is very suitable for tactile sensors applicable for use in human-friendly devices. In this paper, we examine a descriptive summary of a tactile sensor and review state-of- the-art research trends of 2D material-based tactile sensors in terms of the material and architecture. Finally, we propose a roadmap for future studies into advanced tactile sensors based on our ongoing research.

  • It is challenging work to predict weather and climate conditions of the future in advance. Since ENIAC was developed, weather and climate research areas have been taking advantage of the improvements in computer hardware. High performance computers allows researchers to build high quality models that allow them to make good predictions of what might happen in the future. Statistics on the high performance computers are one of the major interest to not only manufacturers but also the users such as weather and climate researchers. For this reason, the Top500 Supercomputer Sites Report has been being released twice a year since 1993 to provide a reliable basis for tracking and detecting trends in high performance computing. Using the Top500 Report, a short review on the supercomputer trends in weather and climate research areas is provided in this article.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the research trends in articles on parenting stress published in Korean academic journals. Between 1996 and 2010, 116 articles on parenting stress were published in 16 reliable journals in Korea. This study analyzed research frequency, contents and methodology. Results show that the number of studies has increased during the years. Most studies used methods categorized as quantitative data and cross-sectional surveys. The most frequently used measurement scale was Abidin's Parenting Stress Index. Many were analyze by using regression. The main content of these studies were the factor related to parenting stresses and the relationship between the factors and parenting stress.
