우리나라 물류 산업 인력에 관한 소고 (A study on human resources of the logistics industry in Korea)

  • Korean logistics industry have been focused on transportation business. However, with the expansion of the electronic commerce and on-line shopping, delivery service is now dramatically growing. Despite the expansion of logistics market, the domestic logistics industry have significant structural problems such as low productivity comparing with the advanced countries, relatively high cost and shortage of human resources and lack of professionalism of people in the industry. Logistics companies reallocate employees, use subcontractors, expand consignment and training the employees to overcome the labor shortages but it has some limits. In recognition of the importance of labor in the logistics industry, financial support and investment have increased. Logistics companies tend to hire consultants, set up logistics department or R&D center in order to establish highly productive logistics process and system so it is viewed that there will be considerable demands of human resources in the logistics industry. This study indicates implications and development direction of human resources in the logistics industry by looking into prospect and characteristic of the industry, employment status, training programs and qualification requirements.

Routing optimization algorithm for logistics virtual monitoring based on VNF dynamic deployment

  • In the development of logistics system, the breakthrough of important technologies such as technology platform for logistics information management and control is the key content of the study. Based on Javascript and JQuery, the logistics system realizes real-time monitoring, collection of historical status data, statistical analysis and display, intelligent recommendation and other functions. In order to strengthen the cooperation of warehouse storage, enhance the utilization rate of resources, and achieve the purpose of real-time and visual supervision of transportation equipment and cargo tracking, this paper studies the VNF dynamic deployment and SFC routing problem in the network load change scenario based on the logistics system. The BIP model is used to model the VNF dynamic deployment and routing problem. The optimization objective is to minimize the total cost overhead generated by each SFCR. Furthermore, the application of the SFC mapping algorithm in the routing topology solving problem is proposed. Based on the concept of relative cost and the idea of topology transformation, the SFC-map algorithm can efficiently complete the dynamic deployment of VNF and the routing calculation of SFC by using multi-layer graph. In the simulation platform based on the logistics system, the proposed algorithm is compared with VNF-DRA algorithm and Provision Traffic algorithm in the network receiving rate, throughput, path end-to-end delay, deployment number, running time and utilization rate. According to the test results, it is verified that the test results of the optimization algorithm in this paper are obviously improved compared with the comparison method, and it has higher practical application and promotion value.

Perceptual Study on Higher Level Digitilization Among Managers in the Logistics Industry

  • Purpose: The study attempts to explore the operational performance of the existing Malaysian logistics companies and the extent of their adoption of digitalization. The role of digitalization in enhancing the performance of companies in the logistics industry in Malaysia, for value creation, is the topic of study. Research design, data and methodology: A qualitative research method with a semi-structured interview approach was applied and judgmental sampling was used as the sampling technique to collect data. The research has chosen nine companies in the logistics industry in Peninsular Malaysia, with the interviews aimed at eleven members of top and middle-level management. Data analysis was performed using logical system techniques to examine and evaluate data, reorganizing feedback, comparing it with literature, and transforming it into structured, valuable information after interviews. Results: The study revealed mixed opinions on digitalization in logistics, despite its potential benefits such as improved operational efficiency, real-time information, and customer service. However, high costs may hinder financial performance and require revisions due to stakeholder involvement. Conclusions: The Malaysian logistics industry's adoption of digitalization is gaining traction, with most companies satisfied with their status. However, challenges like cost and inefficiency persist, prompting calls for government support to improve efficiency and reduce costs while ensuring sustainable transportation.

유라시아 교통물류 네트워크 기반 구축을 위한 한국적 시각에서의 정보공유 플랫폼 도입방안 (An Information Sharing Platform for Eurasia Transportation Logistics Network from Korean perspective)

  • 최근 미국의 보호무역 기조에 따라 대미수출이 위축되어 유라시아 신흥시장의 개척 필요성이 한층 커졌고, 대형 국적선사인 한진해운의 파산으로 인해 아시아-유럽 해운항로를 대체할 수 있는 운송로 확보의 필요성이 대두되었다. 더욱이 전자상거래의 확산으로 인해 국제교역 및 물류환경이 급변하고 있어 국제 물류활동에 IT기술을 적용하는 환경에 대비해야 하는 시점이다. 따라서 본 연구는 유라시아 각 국의 물류정보 수준비교를 통해 한국의 시각에서 유라시아 물류정보 공유플랫폼 정보화전략을 수립하는 차원에서 수행되었다. 본 연구는 유라시아 국가 간 물류활동 지원을 위한 표준화 방향, 단절 없는 통관 물류서비스 제공, 무역업체의 비즈니스 확대를 위한 정보제공, 국가 간 물류기업 간 협력확대를 위한 정보연계 기반구축 등을 목표로 한다. 본 연구를 통해 국가 간 정보공유를 통한 물류활동이 활발히 이루어지기를 기대한다.

도시물류 개선 대안 평가를 위한 개념적 모형 정립 (Conceptual Models for Evaluation of Urban Logistics Improvement)

  • 본 연구는 도시물류 문제를 미시적 및 거시적 관점으로 정의하고, 국내외 문헌의 현황 및 한계점을 밝히고, 향후 연구방향을 제시하며, 정책 대안을 평가하는 모형을 개념적으로 제시하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 문헌의 한계점을 바탕으로 하여 추후 연구 방향으로서는 도시내 물류활동 주체인 화주, 제품공급업자 등을 고려하는 미시적 관점의 연구가 강화되어야 한다는 점과 다양한 정책 대안들을 보다 효과적으로 평가할 수 있는 개념적 평가 모형 정립의 필요성 그리고 물류활동 주체와 도시 교통 문제를 함께 평가할 수 있는 통합 모형의 구축을 제의하였다. 도시물류 개선 대안을 평가하기 위한 모형을 개념적으로 제시하는 데 있어서 거시적 관점과 미시적 관점의 상관관계를 정리하고, 미시적 관점에서 관련 주체별 평가 요소를 도출하고 이를 바탕으로 평가 모형을 구체화하였다. 특히, 최근 시도된 시뮬레이션 기법을 이용한 화물차량경로 예측 방법을 제시하고, 모형을 통하여 도시물류 개선을 위한 정책 대안이 각 물류활동의 주체에게 미치는 영향을 미시적 및 거시적 관점에서 평가할 수 있음을 밝혔다. 또한 향후 본 연구에서 제시된 모형들을 보다 구체화하는 노력이 필요할 뿐 아니라 재고관리 시스템을 통한 수요예측 기법 등의 기초 연구가 계속되어야 함을 강조하였다.

효율성 분석을 통한 무개차 운용 방안에 관한 연구 (Management Planning of Gondola Cars through Efficiency Analysis)

  • 최근 철도수송 물동량은 점진적으로 줄어드는 추세이며, 특히 무개차의 수송량이 크게 줄어드는 경향을 보이고 있다. 무개차는 덮개가 없는 화차로서 용도에 따라서 일반 무개차, 호퍼차, 자갈차로 분류할 수 있으며, 이 중에서 일반 무개차를 가장 많이 보유하고 있다. 일반 무개차는 2001년 전체 화차수송횟수의 약 23.3%를 차지했지만 2010년에는 14.5%로 그 역할이 많이 축소되었다. 최근에는 일반 무개차를 컨테이너 수송 용도로도 활용하고 있으며, 벌크화물을 컨테이너차로 수송할 수 있는 다양한 용기가 개발되고 있어 장기적으로 일반 무개차의 수요는 줄어들 것으로 판단된다. 그러나 일반 무개차는 여전히 철도수송에서 벌크시멘트차, 컨테이너차 다음으로 중요한 역할을 수행하고 있으며, 장기적인 관점에서의 수요 감소에 대비한 운용 방안의 수립이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 일반 무개차의 효율성을 분석하고 향후 일반 무개차의 운용 방안 수립을 위한 방향을 제시하였다.

PLS트럭 및 표준 파렛트 규격 복수화 적용이 군수지원에 미치는 영향 연구 (A Study of the Improvement for the Military Logistics, focusing on the PLS Truck and the Dual Pallet Standard)

  • 최근 군(軍) 물류 분야에서 3PL(3rd Party Logistics), 4PL과 같은 아웃소싱이 중요한 아젠다로 부각되고 있다. 하지만, 3PL을 성급하게 군 물류 분야에 적용시, 전시 전투력 저하, 정보 보안 취약성, 3PL 업체의 재하청(Sub-contract)에 따른 질적 저하, 규모의 경제에 미달하는 군내 소랑 조달에 따른 원가 상승 압력 등의 부작용 우려가 있다. 최근 미국, 영국과 같은 선진국에서는 이런 부작용을 보완하고자, 민간 부문과의 상호 보완적 협력 관계를 통한 민 관 경쟁 위탁(private-public competitive sourcing) 개념이 발전하고 있다. 이 개념이 우리 군(軍) 물류 분야에 적용되기 위해서는 군과 민간이 합리적으로 경쟁할 수 있는 군 수송 분야의 재정비와 효율화가 선제적으로 요구된다. 따라서 이 연구는 군 물류 표준화 5개 분야중 수송 분야에 중점을 두어 파렛트 규격 복수화 방안 (T11,T12) 시행에 따른 PLS(Palletized Load System) 트럭 적용 개선 방안 및 모형을 제시한 후, 사단급 부대 사례 분석을 통하여 계량화된 개선 효과를 분석하였다.

한.중.일의 역내 항공화물운송 자유화정책과 협력중진방안 (Intra-regional Cooperation and Air Cargo Liberalization Policy in Korea, China and Japan)

  • The 3 Northeast Asian countries of Korea, Japan and China have been stricter to each other than to other countries of out-region in air liberalization. The prominent reason of this intra-regional protective policy in air transportation seems to be the difference in competitive strength of their national flag carriers. As the 3 countries realize the importance of their mutual cooperation in the region, since China grows to be one of the leading economies in the world and the intra-regional trade and visitors increase tremendously, they are now taking the policy of intra-regional air liberalization more vigorously than before. Especially air cargo liberalization is easier than air passenger liberalization because they realize that the development of open economy is based on free flow of logistics regardless of the competitiveness of their national flag carriers. As Korea is the leading country in the region to promote air liberalization, this paper reviews the importance and growing trend of air cargo, analyzes current air liberalization policy between Korea, Japan and China and the initial effects of open sky in the routes of Shandung-Korea, and suggests the new policies of air liberalization to promote free flow of air logistics.

제철원료 관련 요인과 BCI 간의 정보전이 효과에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Spillover Effect of Information between Factors Related to Steel Materials and BCI)

  • The Baltic Capesize Index (BCI), which is used as an indicator for marine transportation of steel raw materials, is one of the key economic indexes for managing the risk of loss due to rapid market fluctuations when steel companies establish business strategies and procuring plans for raw materials. Still, the conditions of supply and demand of steel raw materials has been extremely affected by volatility shocks from drastic events like the financial crisis such as the Lehman Brothers incident and changes in the external environment such as COVID-19. And, especially since the 2008 financial crisis, endeavors to predict the market conditions of the steel raw material is becoming more and more arduous for the deepening uncertainty and increased volatility of BCI, which has been used as a leading indicator of the real economy. This study investigates the correlation between the steel raw material market and the marine transportation market by estimating the spillover effect of information between markets. The vector error correction model (VECM) was used to analyze information transfer based on the correlation between the BCI and crude steel production, capesize fleet supply, raw material price, and cargo volume.

물류수송의 환적저항에 따른 수단선택 행태 변화 - 양회 중심으로 (study on the resistance of the transshipment of transport logistics according to the mode choice - focus of cement)

  • Recently, there has been an increase in interest from the aspects of transshipment and connection between the means of transportation. Not only for passengers but also for freight transportation as the need for transportation efficiency is growing while the importance of logistic railway transportation is emerging. The domestic freight transportation is carried out by roads, railroads, ships, and port. However, as other means of transportation, except road, is impossible for Door to Door Service, multimodal transportation accompanied by road transportation is carried out. Here, even though 'transshipment' occurs, because of the lack of basic data regarding this, it is difficult to reflect it in the demand forecasting. With respect to the Korean freight O-D, it was very difficult to have equivalent comparison on the competitiveness and availability of transportation services between the point of departure and the final destination. Taking into account the study of implementation of logit model considering the time and cost of transshipment of multimodal transportation and the transshipment resistance value upon selecting means of freight transportation on multimodal transportation was comparatively insufficient. This study consisted of questionnaire targeting shippers, and based on this, transshipment resistance value was calculated by deriving utility function. By doing so, I intend to examine the effect 'transshipment' has on selecting the means of transportation occurring from freight transportation.
