  • Currently workmen take charge of the maintenance work of bridges. But the process of sealing cracks in damage bridge is dangerous, costly, and labor-intensive operation Labor turnover and training are increasing problems related to crack sealing crews, and as traffic volumes increase, crack sealing operations become increasingly disruptive to the general public. Automation crack sealing can reduce labor and road user costs, improve work quality and decrease worker exposure to bridge hazards. This research aims to develop an automated damage bridge crack sealing system and developing of algorithms for hybrid controlling.

  • The rapid increase of electric power demand and the strong requirements for interuptiom-free made most distribution works being done by interruptiom-free work techniques. These trends lead to increase of accident by electric shock. It goes to prove that more than 80% of electric accident is due to the hot line works. Therefore, the countermeasures are very urgent. This paper suggests the improvement to prevent the work accident by interruption-free work through the examination of the present situation of interruption-free work techniques as well as analysing the problems in terms of live-line works and working procedures. These improvement will contribute to reduce the work accident in live-line work and enhance the construction quality by training and managing workers effectively.

  • The School Health Act was revised in 2007 and the contents of school health education was officially organized in the school curriculum in elementary, middle and high schools, since the contents of school health education disappeared in 1963. For the successful school health education, sufficient time for health education should be provided by opening health education course as an essential subject in every grade. The large scale schools need to have more school health teachers for performing efficient health education and in all schools there needs to be a reorganization of the teacher's complex works. For quality improvements of the health education, the change of principal's attitude and budget plan for health education are essential. Additionally, various training programs for school health teachers and developing effective educational materials should be provided.

  • The purposes of this study were to analyze the farmer education programs in Korea and to develop the strategies for improving its effectiveness. Questionnaires were used to collect data from institutes of farmer education. The framework of analysis was developed with four survey areas and 328 programs were analyzed based on it. The results show that the major learning domains of farmer education were concentrated on production skills and were overlapped with other training institutes. There was no systemic structure in whole programs for farmers. Evaluations for learning achievement were not fully implemented. It was recommended that there should be a system for improving quality of farmer education.

  • Most fault prediction models have class imbalance problems because training data usually contains much more non-fault class modules than fault class ones. This imbalanced distribution makes it difficult for the models to learn the minor class module data. Data imbalance is much higher when severity-based fault prediction is used. This is because high severity fault modules is a smaller subset of the fault modules. In this paper, we propose severity-based models to solve these problems using the three sampling methods, Resample, SpreadSubSample and SMOTE. Empirical results show that Resample method has typical over-fit problems, and SpreadSubSample method cannot enhance the prediction performance of the models. Unlike two methods, SMOTE method shows good performance in terms of AUC and FNR values. Especially J48 decision tree model using SMOTE outperforms other prediction models.

  • Under the WTO system in the world, our country's apple industry must be set in quite a new aspect. For new apple industry with competition power, we should establish apple industry development strategies as follows. First, to change the present apple trees to the lowered or dwarf tree with high density planting system using M9 rootstocks. Second, to expand the size of apple orchard management and to bring up as professional apple farmers. Third, to develop the integrated apple production system considering environment and human being. Fourth, to innovate improved harvest, storage and shipment system. Finally, Rural Extension Institution should activate the farmer's training and produce the apple nursery trees of better quality.

  • A variety of enterprises have Implemented ERP system on the promises of feasible strategic benefits. The objectives of this study are (1) to classily and analyze the motives and critical success factors o the enterprises'ERP system adoptions, and (2) to measure their impacts on the business performance. The data for this research were collected from 43 cases in Korea that have operated ERP system for more than 6 months after the implementation. This study results reveals that the Information strategic planning and business strategy establishment prior to ERP adoption and the demands of field people activate as critical triggers In the larger firms Among the six critical success factors, training was statistically significant for all of four performance measures control, cost reduction, quality and service, and work efficiency. And other findings are furnished. Also the larger company group In the sales volume has shown the higher performance except work efficiency.

  • This study systemized the theories of promotion menu and surveyed the clients using hotel restaurants. This study has a goal of establishing marketing plans of development of the promotion menu by observing the choice attributes of promotion menu. The followings are the results of this study. First, the distinctiveness from the previous food appeared to be very important when selecting the promotion menu. Second, one of the big problems in the hotels is that unreasonable price. Third, most of the people get information on the promotion menu from newspapers and magazines. Fourth, a thorough training of the employees is needed and a high-quality incentive policy needs to be done.

  • The electrochemical preparation and spectroscopic characterisation of iridium-antimony (Ir-Sb) species is important owing to their potential applications as nanostructure materials. Nanostructures, i.e. nanoflower and nanodisk, of Ir-Sb were electrodeposited on conductive substrates using a practical electrochemical method based on the simultaneous underpotential deposition (UPD) of Ir and Sb from the IrCl3 and Sb2O3 at a constant potential. Electrochemical UPD mechanism of Ir-Sb was studied using cyclic voltammetry and potential-controlled electrochemical deposition techniques. Herein, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron and Raman spectroscopy were used to determine the morphological and structural properties of the electrochemically-synthesised Ir-Sb nanostructures.
