A Study on the Contact Power by Coating Material of Spray in AT Feeding Method (AT급전방식에서 코팅재에 의한 접촉전력에 대한 연구)

  • Main characteristic in railroad is the guided movement of the wheel by the track through a metal-to-metal contact, conferring to the rail vehicle a single degree of freedom. There are defects such as head check, shelling, corrugation, squats etc in surface of the rail by interface between the wheel and rail. These defects bring about reducing the life-cycle of rails and track components and increasing noises. In case of bad conditions, it is possible to happen to full-scale accident such as derailment. Recently, the track capacity has been increased for increasing speed and operation efficiency. So, maintenance and indirect cost have been increased. Currently, a coating method of rail construction is proposed by using the ceramics in Korea. Rails are used as the earth in electrical railroad systems. Currently traction return current is flowed through wheels of trains. In case of rails coated, problems are caused in the contact power between wheel and coating material of spray. In this paper, electric model is presented in the AT feeding method. In case of rails coated, electric model is presented. Also, standard resistance of the ceramic is demonstrated by contact power between wheel and coating material of spray.

  • Recently, Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(PMSM) drives are widely used for industrial applications due to its high efficiency and high power factor control strategy. PMSM generally have two classifications such as the SPMSM(Surface Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors) and IPMSM(Inter Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors). IPMSA has economical merits over SPMSM in higher speed range, mechanical robustness, and higher power rate by the geometric difference. The maximum torque operation in IPMSM is realized by the current angle control which is to utilize additional reluctance torque due to a rotor saliency. In traction, spindle and compressor drives, constant power operation with higher speed range are desirable. This is simply achieved in the DC motor drives by the reduction of the field current as the speed is increased. However, in the PMSM, direct control of the magnet flux is not available. The airgap flux can be weakened by the appropriate current angle control to demagnetize. In this paper, the control method of optimal current vector in IPMSM is described in order to obtain the maximum torque or maximum output with the speed and load variations. The applied algorithm is realized by the proto system with torque and speed control Experimental results show this approach is satisfied for the high performance servo applications.   • There is an increasing demand for efficient high power/weight auxiliary power supplies for use on high speed traction application. Many new conversion techniques have been proposed to reduce the voltage and current stress of switching components, and the switching losses in the traditional pulse width modulation (PWM) converter. Especially, the phase shift full bridge zero voltage switching PWM techniques are thought must desirable for many applications because this topology permits all switching devices to operate under zero voltage switching(ZVS) by using circuit parasitic components such as leakage inductance of high frequency transformer and power device junction capacitance. The proposed topology is found to have higher efficiency than conventional soft-switching converter. Also it is easily applicable to phase shift full bridge converter by applying an energy recovery snubber consisted of fast recovery diodes and capacitors.

  • The HEV (Hybrid Electrical Vehicle) becomes commercialized recently because of high fuel efficiency and low air pollution. The highest output power system except the traction motor is an air conditioner compressor in HEV system. The full or hybrid electric compressor is applied for HEV. The general HEC (Hybrid Electric Compressor) requires the half power motor and drive system of the full electric compressor because the rated output power of motor drive system is designed to charge the minimum cooling capacity at the time of idle stop. Therefore, this hybrid electric is more economical and practical solution. In this paper, we studied about the motor drive system of hybrid electric compressor for HEV. The applied voltage specification is 42 V, an IPMSM (Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) is designed and applied as the compressor drive motor.

  • In this paper describes the research and development of a pipe robot for pipe rehabilitation construction of old water pipes. After the water supply pipe construction, the pipe is leaking, damaged, and aging due to corrosion. Eventually, resistance to the flow of water in lower supply efficiency and contaminated water such as rusty water, finally in various consumer complaints. In order to solve this problem, rehabilitation construction robot technology is required to secure the construction quality of pipe rehabilitation construction and restore the function of the initial construction period. The developed pipe rehabilitation construction robot required a hydraulic actuator for high traction and was equipped with a small hydraulic supply device. In addition, we have developed a hydraulic cylinder and a link system that supports the pipe inner diameter to develop a single pipe robot corresponding to 500 to 800mm pipe diameter. The analysis and experimental verification of the driving performance and unit function of the developed pipe reconstruction robot are explained, and the result of the integrated performance test of the pipe reconstruction robot at the water supply pipe network site is explained.

  • The 8200-unit electric locomotive, which is a high-efficiency multipurpose electric locomotive, is a German model, namely BR152 series ES64F, and it is manufactured to suit the operating conditions in Korea. Since 2003, 83 locomotives have been introduced in Korea, and they have been operating in the general railway sector for both passenger and freight transport. Although more than 15 years have passed since their first introduction, owing to the characteristics of vehicles introduced overseas, responding promptly to failures has been difficult owing to problems related to factors such as transfer of technology and procurement of parts for maintenance. Furthermore, there have been difficulties in operating the locomotives on the basis of the manufacturer-recommended time-between-overhaul (TBO) cycle. Therefore, a new TBO should be determined. To support the development of a reliability-based maintenance system, this study conducted a reliability and TBO analysis by using failure data obtained from KOVIS, and future management measures are presented.

  • The EV electric vehicle market is growing rapidly worldwide. An electric vehicle means a vehicle that uses energy charged through an electricity source as power. The precision of the press is important to mass-produce the drive motor, which is a key component of the electric vehicle. The size of the driving motor is increasing, and The size of the mold is also growing. In this study, the precision of large high-speed presses for mass production of driving motors was measured. A study was conducted on the measurement method of press and the analysis of measurement data. A drive motor is a component that transmits power by converting electrical energy into kinetic energy. EV driven motors have key material properties to improve efficiency. The material properties are the thickness of the material. As a method for improving performance, use a 0.2mm thin steel sheet. Mold is also becoming larger. As the mold grows, the size of the high-speed press for mass production of the driving motor is also increasing. Also, the precision of the press is the most important because it uses a thin iron plate material. So the importance of large press precision is being emphasized.   • The medical sector actively changes and implements innovative features in response to technical development and revolutions. Many of the most crucial elements in IoT-connected health services are safeguarding critical patient records from prospective attackers. As a result, BlockChain (BC) is gaining traction in the business sector owing to its large implementations. As a result, BC can efficiently handle everyday life activities as a distributed and decentralized technology. Compared to other industries, the medical sector is one of the most prominent areas where the BC network might be valuable. It generates a wide range of possibilities and probabilities in existing medical institutions. So, throughout this study, we address BC technology's widespread application and influence in modern medical systems, focusing on the critical requirements for such systems, such as trustworthiness, security, and safety. Furthermore, we built the shared ledger for blockchain-based healthcare providers for patient information, contractual between several other parties. The study's findings demonstrate the usefulness of BC technology in IoHT for keeping patient health data. The BDSA-IoHT eliminates 2.01 seconds of service delay and 1.9 seconds of processing time, enhancing efficiency by nearly 30%.

Impact of porosity distribution on static behavior of functionally graded plates using a simple quasi-3D HSDT

  • The bending of a porous FG plate is discussed in this study using a novel higher quasi-3D hyperbolic shear deformation theory with four unknowns. The proposed theory takes into consideration the normal and transverse shear deformation effect and ensures the parabolic distribution of the transverse stresses through the thickness direction with zero-traction at the top and the bottom surfaces of the structure. Innovative porous functionally graded materials (FGM) have through-thickness porosity as a unique attribute that gradually varies with their qualities. An analytical solution of the static response of the perfect and imperfect FG plate was derived based on the virtual work principle and solved using Navier's procedure. The validity and the efficiency of the current model is confirmed by comparing the results with those obtained by others solutions. The comparisons showed that the present model is very efficient and simple in terms of computation time and exactness. The impact of the porosity parameter, aspect ratio, and thickness ratio on the bending of porous FG plate is shown through a discussion of several numerical results.

Effects of the Soil Moisture and Hardness on the Drawing Performance of a Two-Wheel Tractor. (토양수분과 경도가 동력경운기의 견인성능에 미치는 영향)

  • This experiment was conducted in order to find out the drawing performance of a two-wheel tractor under different levels of the soil moisture and hardness, so as to obtain some basic data for improving their drawing performance. With fairly homogeneous soil, 5 levels of soil moisture contents (8, 13, 17, 20 and 23%) and 3 levels of soil hardness (0 , 2 and 4kg/$cm^2$) were selected for this experiment.The summerized results are as follows ;1. The draft force, on the hard soil (hardness ; 4kg/$cm^2$), had a distinct tendency to decrease with the increasing soil moisture. On the medium soil (hardness ; 2 kg/$cm^2$), and the soft soil (hardness ; 0kg$cm^2$), the draft force showed the highest when the moisture contents were within the range of 16-19%.But the maximum draft force, on the soft soil, was higher than that on the medium soil by 10 %. 2. The driving axle torque increased with increasing soil by 10 %. 3.The values of horizontal distance between the soil reaction point and axle shaft were within the range of 0~10cm , and it had the tendency to increase with the increasing soil moisture. Also, it s value was the largest on the hard soil and the smallest on the soft soil. 4.The tractive efficiency decreased with the increasing soil moisture. On the hard soil, the average value of tractive efficiency was higher than that on the medium soil by 19.0% and that on the soft soil was lower than that on the medium soil. 5.The traction ratio were within the range of 30 ~45%, and their changing tendency with respect to the soil moisture was similar to that in the case of the draft force. 6. The travel resistance ratio tended to increased with increasing soil moisture, and the highest value was found on the soft soil, and the lowest on the hard soil.
