신호체계와 신호수 교육 개선을 통한 양중 작업 중 타워 크레인 사고 저감 대책 (Measures to Reduce Tower Crane Accidents During Operation by Improving Signal System and Education for Signalmen)

  • As the tower crane accident emerged as a social issue in 2017, various government measures were prepared. Most of the measures are focused on erecting, climbing, and dismantling phases. Analyzes of 84 serious accidents related to tower cranes from 2000 to 2018 and 104 near misses accidents from 2016 to 2018 revealed that 50% of the serious accidents occurred during the operating phase. The main occupation influencing operating phase accidents was signalman(81.6% of serious accidents), whose communication and competency were governing causes. This result was the same in 294 questionnaires to signalmen. Signal systems and education policies for tower crane signalman in Korea and foreign countries were analyzed, and standardization of wireless signal system and improvement of education system were propose.

  • 국내 건설 현장 타워크레인의 사용량 증가에 따른 재해 감소를 위한 연구가 진행되고 있지만 무인타워크레인에 대한 연구는 미비한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 타워크레인 유형별 사고 요인의 중요도 순위를 AHP 분석을 통해 도출하여 제시하고자 한다. 분석 결과 무인타워크레인에서 인양 작업이 가장 높은 중요도를 보였다. 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 중요도가 높은 요인을 우선적으로 관리하여 타워크레인 사고 저감을 위한 조치가 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

  • As recent construction projects are bigger and higher, the importance of lifting is increasing. In construction sites tower cranes are an essential lifting equipment covering were than 50% of all construction activities. But due to neglect of safety supervision, tower crane-related accidents are frequently taking place. Since most of construction activities is done in heights, the accidents are more likely to be catastrophic. According to an analysis of the causes of tower crane-related accidents, 49% of all accidents claimed for certain periods($1999{\sim}2003$) occurred in the process of telescoping work. Therefore, this research is conducted with the object of analyzing telescoping work of tower cranes and presenting solutions against safety risk. It is expected that the results of this study can be used as useful basic data or material when preparing for effective safety management for tower cranes.

  • 현재 건축물의 높이가 높아지고 우리나라 가구 형태가 개인 주택에서 아파트로 변화함에 따라 타워크레인의 사용 횟수는 계속해서 증가하고 있다. 그러나 이처럼 증가하는 타워크레인 사용 횟수에 반해 우리나라 타워크레인 관련 정책은 매우 미비한 실정이다. 특히 타워크레인과 관련된 사고의 원인 중 가장 큰 비중을 차지하는 타워크레인 연식에 대한 기준은 그 설정 근거가 부족하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이와 같은 문제점에 주목하여 타워크레인의 보다 신뢰성 있는 타워크레인의 연식을 설정하는 연구를 진행한다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 기존 연구에서 사용했던 사례와 영국 타워크레인 기준을 바탕으로 사용 연식을 설정한다.

  • The tower cranes are widely used in very useful construction machine the sites of constructing high-structure and have a structural sensitiveness. Therefore, the accidents have often happened due to the deficiency of laborer's understanding and lack of safety of structure. Till now, as we have research and studied above, we can properly protect accidents by construction equipments particularly crane as well as most disasters which occur frequently in construction site. The goal of this study is the safety inspection model of the tower crane a construction site, which preventible the collapse accident of tower crane which is constructed by using the correcting frame. In order to accomplish the goal of this study, the field survey, the reference investigation and the structure analysis were performed for the collapse accident of tower crane using the correcting data. This study will be proposed a build-up solutions about operating and release of safety constructions and researched about software safety estimation. Also, preventing safety problems of Tower Crane Construction site as applying safety estimation program and laws and regulations. As a result, The real time control of tower crane inspection system is implemented by to illustrate the application of the adopted optimal design model.

TRACKING LIFT-PATHS OF A ROBOTIC TOWERCRANE WITH ENCODER SENSORS

  • This paper presents a robotic tower-crane system using encoder and gyroscope sensors as path tracking devices. Tower crane work is often associated with falling accidents and industrial disasters. Such problems often incur a loss of time and money for the contractor. For this reason, many studies have been done on an automatic tower crane. As a part of 5-year 23-million-dollar research project in Korea, we are developing a robotic tower crane which aims to improve the safety level and productivity. We selected a luffing tower crane, which is commonly used in urban construction projects today, as a platform for the robotic tower crane system. This system comprises two modules: the automated path planning module and the path tracking module. The automated path planning system uses the 3D Cartesian coordinates. When the robotic tower crane lifts construction material, the algorithm creates a line, which represents a lifting path, in virtual space. This algorithm seeks and generates the best route to lift construction material while avoiding known obstacles from real construction site. The path tracking system detects the location of a lifted material in terms of the 3D coordinate values using various types of sensors including adopts encoder and gyroscope sensors. We are testing various sensors as a candidate for the path tracking device. This specific study focuses on how to employ encoder and gyroscope sensors in the robotic crane These sensors measure a movement and rotary motion of the robotic tower crane. Finally, the movement of the robotic tower crane is displayed in a virtual space that synthesizes the data from two modules: the automatically planned path and the tracked paths. We are currently field-testing the feasibility of the proposed system using an actual tower crane. In the next step, the robotic tower crane will be applied to actual construction sites with a following analysis of the crane's productivity in order to ascertain its economic efficiency.

FMEA 기법을 활용한 크레인 관련 중대 재해의 정량적 분석에 관한 연구 (A Quantitative Analysis of Fatal Accidents Related to Cranes Using the FMEA Method)

  • As buildings become higher, larger, and more complex, safety issues for construction workers working at such environments become more important. We analyzed 83 critical accident cases reported to the KOSHA(Korea Occupational Safety & Health Agency) for construction cranes by types of cranes and by patterns of accidents and causes. There are more number of accidents related to mobile cranes than that related to tower cranes, but the numbers of dead were similar in both cases. The most dominant cause of crane accidents was "fall of materials". We also analyzed the cases of crane accidents using the FMEA(Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) in order to set up a priority for safety management and also to prioritize research and development items relating tower cranes. In the process, we tried to eliminate subjective indexes such as an expert group survey and use objective and quantitative indexes. As a result, it was found that critical crane accidents occurs most during the "lifting and translating" activity.

건설현장의 재해사례 분석을 통한 타워크레인 안전성 확보 방안 연구 (Study to Secure the Safety of Tower Cranes through Disaster Case Analysis at Construction Sites)

  • 타워크레인은 기초 단면과 비교하여 상대적으로 불안정한 상부구조를 가지고 있어 사고위험성이 매우 크다. 현재 타워크레인 안전사고 저감을 위한 노력이 활발히 이루어지는 시점에 타워크레인의 안전성 확보를 위한 예방대책 수립이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 타워크레인 안전성 확보를 위한 재해사례 분석 연구이다. 본 연구를 위해 2012년 7월부터 2020년 7월까지 한국산업안전보건공단에 접수된 타워 크레인 재해사례 260건을 대상으로 분석하였다. 그 결과, 작업 공종 중에서는 인양작업이 45.3%로 가장 높게 나타났으며, 재해 형태 중에서는 추락에 의한 사고가 35.8%로 가장 많이 발생하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 사고 발생원인은 작업방법 불량이 38.8%로 가장 높은 것으로 확인되었다. 향후 본 연구의 결과는 타워크레인 사고예방을 위한 정책수립에 기초자료로 활용될 것이다.

  • 무인타워크레인의 운전자격 취득이 쉬워지고 불법개조가 늘어나며 소규모 건설현장에서도 무인타워크레인이 점차 활용되고 있다. 그러나 운전경험이 부족한 타워크레인 운전자의 문제가 커지면서 안전사고도 늘고 작업자도 사고위험에 노출되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 무인타워크레인 사고를 분석하여 사고 원인을 도출하였다. 그 후, 사고 원인의 중요도를 도출하기 위해 AHP 기법을 사용하여 분석하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 무인타워크레인을 사용하는 사업자와 건설 노동자들이 작업 규칙을 따르지 않는다는 것이다.
