도로용 발전장치 개발을 위한 에너지 발생기구 해석 (A Numerical Study of Energy Mechanism for Development of Road Generator System)

  • This paper presents a new road generative system that employs a pad of preventive overspeed or tollgate. The system consists of pad, shaft, torsional damper, oneway-clutch, gear system, and electricity generator components. When the car driven through the road generation system, it occurred to surplus energy in the DC power. In order to maximize the power of electricity energy harvester, the simulation software is developed. It is used to determine parametric dimension for optimal design with the theoretically calculated results from the simulation software. The transient responses at the conditions of low and high vehicle speed are compared with the calculated results as torque, impact force, power, out energy etc. Consequently, before design a road generation system, the analysis of simulation results shows that the proposed concept and system has efficiency and confidence.

대기오염이 고속도로 톨게이트 근무자의 건강에 미치는 영향 (A Study on the Health Effect of Air Pollution among the Express-way Tollgate Workers in Seoul)

  • 대기오염이 인체에 미치는 영향을 연구하기 위하여 오염의 농도가 지극히 심할 것으로 예측되는 고속도로 서울톨게이트에 근무하는 근로자 37명과 사무직 15명을 대상으로 혈액 및 요중 납함량과 요중 코프로포르피린을 정량하고 임파구 중 자매염색분체 교환빈도를 계산하여 인적특성에 따라 비교 검토하였다. 한편 대기오염의 정도를 파악하고자 1986년 4월부터 약 3개월에 걸쳐 아황산가스, 이산화질소, 일산화탄소, 부유분진, 납, 벤조파이렌 등 인체에 유해한 오염물질들을 톨게이트 근무자가 근무하는 위치의 공기 중에서 정량하였다. 이들 성적을 비교 검토한 바 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 톨게이트 내의 공기 중 이산화질소, 일산화탄소, 부유분진, 벤조파이렌, 납량 등이 서울시내 일반 대기보다 월등히 높았다. 2. 톨게이트 근로자의 혈중 납량, 요중 납 및 포프로포르린량, 그리고 임파구 내의 자매염색분체 교환빈도의 평균치가 사무직근로자보다 유의하고 높았다.

  • It is rapidly increasing number using Hi-pass system passing through tollgate on the high way. However disabled people and man of merit have been excepted existing advantage of discount when they are using Hi-Pass. It is difficult to make a check an advantage when they are in a vehicle for using Hi-pass system technology in present. For solving this problem, we have fabricated virtual Hi-pass system combined fingerprint identification system (FIS) by AVR and fingerprint identification USB. We checked the chance of efficiency and utility in this system for getting a solution of conservative problem. And, it will be also used for entrance ticketing and transferring of cave tourism and so on.

A Study on Development of the EM Wave Absorber for ETC System

  • In this paper, the EM wave absorber was designed and fabricated for countermeasure against EMI from a ceiling of a tollgate in ETC system. We fabricated several samples in different composition ratios of MnZn-ferrite, Carbon, and CPE(Chlorinated Polyethylene). Absorption abilities were simulated in accordance with different thicknesses of the prepared absorbers and changed complex relative permittivity and permeability according to composition ratio. The optimized mixing ratio of MnZn-ferrite, Carbon, and CPE was found as 40:15:45 wt.% by experiments and simulation. Then the EM wave absorber was fabricated and tested using the simulated data. As a result, the developed EM wave absorber has the thickness of 3.3 mm and absorption ability was more than 20 dB in the case of normal incidence and more than 11 dB for the incident angle from 15 to 45 degrees at 5.8 GHz. Therefore, it was confirmed that the newly developed absorber can be used for ETC system.

지능형교통시스템에서의 시뮬레이션 모델 개발연구 - 고속도로 요금소 및 유고관리 적용사례를 중심으로 - (Case study on the Applications of Simulation on ITS - Focused on Management of Tollgate and Incident in Freeway -)

  • 지능형교통시스템(Intelligent Transportation System: ITS)의 기술발전에 따라 고속도로 상에도 각종 검지 센서가 설치되고 교통정보가 다양한 형태로 제공되고 있으며, 전자요금징수시스템(Electronic Toll Collection System: ETCS) 또한 시범운영단계를 마치고 모든 고속도로를 대상으로 확대적용을 준비 중에 있다. 본 논문에서는 ITS 관련시스템 중 고속도로를 대상으로 적용되는 전자요금징수시스템과 유고관리 시스템을 대상으로 수행되었던 시뮬레이션 사례를 소개하고, ITS 분야에서의 시뮬레이션 적용 필요성에 대해서 논의하고자 한다. 전자요금징수시스템을 대상으로 한 시뮬레이션의 경우 현재 시범운영중인 영업소를 대상으로 향후 다양한 요금지불수단 도입에 따른 효과적인 영업소 운영방안을 도출하는 것을 목적으로 개발되었으며, 운전자들의 영업소 차로선택모형 등에 대한 사전연구를 통하여 모델링에 반영하였다. 또한, 고속도로 유고관리시스템의 경우 사고 직후 사고영향에 대한 실시간 시뮬레이션을 수행하여 지체지속시간 및 지체영향구간을 예측하여, 향후 교통정보제공에 활용하는 것을 목적으로 개발되었다. 개발된 시뮬레이션 모델을 통하여 각종운영방안에 대한 평가를 수행하였으며, 실제 유고상황에서의 검지자료와의 비교를 통하여 성능평가를 수행하였다.

가속차로의 길이 제어와 고속도로 접속부 혼잡저감 효과 (Longitudinal Control of Acceleration Lanes and its Impact on Congestion Alleviation)

  • 고속도로 합류부의 반복정체는 모든 이의 일상이지만 정체가 발생한 이후에 마땅히 시도할 대책이 없는 것이 작금의 현실이다. 본 연구는 접속부에 혼잡이 발생한 후 상황에 따라 가속차로 길이를 동적으로 제어하여 본선에 대한 상대적인 우월성을 억제함으로써 혼잡구간의 정체를 저감시키는 기법을 제안하고 있다. 가속차로의 동적 제어가 미치는 교통영향 분석을 위해서 car-following 이론에 토대를 둔 미시 모형인 CORSIM을 사용하였으며, 본선의 수요는 LOS D/E로 유지하는 가운데 연결로 수요를 변화시킴으로서 접속부의 혼잡을 점진적으로 연출하고 본선과 가속차로의 운영속도가 역전되는 시점에 가속차로의 유효길이를 축소하는 기능을 구현하였다. 동적 제어의 대상이 되는 가속차로 길이는 세 가지로 제한하였으며 평가척도는 통행시간과 통과교통량으로 하였다. 또 경부고속도로에 신갈 JC서의 유사 운영 결과와 비교를 통해 모의실험 결과를 뒷받침하였다.

고속도로 요금소 주변의 대기오염 현황에 관한 연구 (A study on the condition of air pollution near tollbooths on highway)

  • The outdoor and indoor air quality surrounding highway have been measured, and the study on the design of the booth shape and the air-conditioning system also has been carried out. For the first step of the work, the air quality at the Seoul tollgate on the Kyeong-bu highway was monitored over a year. The measured indoor air quality shows seasonal average concentration 85.6-92.1ppb of >;$NO_2$and the $SO_2$and CO lower than the EAQS(Environmental Air Quality Standards). The measured TSP concentration was much higher than the EAQS. In conclusion, there is necessity to improve the working environment of the tollbooths on highways, and the current air-conditions need to be modify for the purpose. In the process of modifying the air-conditioning system, particulate pollutants needs to be considered processing and the priority needs to be put on the booths for big vehicles.

A Study on the Application of RFID to Container Terminals

  • The container terminals in Korea usually adopts both the bar code and the image recognition systems at the gate complex to capture necessary information on containers passing through the gate. With the rapid advancement of Information Technology(IT) these systems, however, seem to make the user not satisfied due to the inherent limitations such as the long process time taken, low rate of recognition etc., This paper, therefore, examines the adoption of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology to container terminals, and tried to get some implication for the way to improve the productivity of the terminal. The results imply that some improvement in the gate and storage yard operation is feasible by the benefit of using the information of vehicles and containers collected in advance by RFID technology.

A Study on Innovative Design Approaches for Implementing an Intelligent ICT-Based Smart Highway

  • This research, conducted over a three-year period starting from 2020, was a collaborative project between practitioners in the field of VE design and the Korea Expressway Corporation, aimed at innovating the design VE project to construct an intelligent ICT-based smart highway and enhancing highway driving performance and customer satisfaction. The research included R&D support for payment and management systems integrated with IOT technology, the application of the developed prototype at highway sites, and analysis of user performance evaluation. Based on the Innovation Work Roadmap of the Korea Expressway Corporation, the research process involved collaboration between a public participation group and an expert group, considering the technical feasibility of data-based ICT technology through the National Idea VE Contest. The final VE design results were implemented at the Seongnam tollgate site with budget support from relevant departments, followed by a satisfaction survey. It is expected that the continuous contributions to achieving an ESG society, such as the increase in the number of customers using the tolling zone equipped with smart upgrades, along with their satisfaction rate, and the reduction in carbon emissions and total settlement time of highway users, will be sustained.

간이 폐기능측정기 (mini-Wright)와 비강세척액 (Nasal Lavage)을 이용한 대기오염물질과 호흡기 건강영향 분석 (Effects of Ambient Air Pollution on Respiratory Health of Workers at Highway Tollgate)

  • A large number of studies have indicated associations between the impairment of respiratory health and exposure to ambient air pollutants such as ozone (O$_3$) , nitrogen dioxide (NO$_2$) , sulfur dioxide(SO$_2$) , particulate matters (PM$\_$10/). To evaluate this associations, we used the pulmonary function tests (peak expiratory flow rate : PEFR) by mini-wright peak flow meter and counting neutrophils in the nasal lavage (NL) as biomarker. From 15 June to 16 July 1998, for the workers in the highway tollgates, PEFR and NL were measured three times daily and twice per week. and association between the level of air pollutants and PEFR and NL were analyzed using the multiple regression model and the poisson regression model respectively. The results indicated that the effects of all measured air pollutants (SO$_2$, NO$_2$, O$_3$, PM$\_$10/) were not significantly associated with the value of PEFR. On the other side, SO$_2$, NO$_2$, PM$\_$10/ were significantly associated with the number of neutrophils in NL. The increase in SO$_2$, NO$_2$of 10ppb and in PM$\_$10/ of 10$\mu\textrm{g}$/m$^3$was associated with 24%, 21%, 35% increases in neutrophil counts. But the ozone exposure was not associated with NL.
