  • Background and objective: The purpose of this study was to comprehensively analyze the user behavior in order to cope appropriately with the increasing demand for mountain usage of those in their 20s and 30s and to allocate resources efficiently. Methods: To analyze the behavior of mountain hiking users, an exploratory data analysis (EDA) was conducted on the data which had been collected in the app Tranggle. The main target are users in their 20s and 30s who visited the mountains in the metropolitan area in 2019-2020. Among them, we have selected data on the top 13 mountains based on the frequency of visits. After data pre-processing, mountain usage patterns were analyzed through statistical analysis and visualization. Results: Compared to 2019, the number of users in 2020 increased 1.36 times. The utilization rate of the well-established hiking trails has also increased. The usage of mountain on weekends (Saturday > Sunday) was still the highest, and the difference in the usage between the days of the week decreased. Outside of work hours, early morning usage has increased and night-time usage has decreased. There was no significant change in usages depending on activity type, level (experience point) and exercise properties. Conclusion: Since the COVID-19 outbreak, the usage of mountains has been changing towards low user density and short-distance trip. in the post-COVID-19 era, the function and role of forests in daily life are expected to increase. To cope with this, further research needs to be carried out with consideration of the wider demographic and social characteristics.

  • Smart card data is representative mobility data and can be used for policy development by analyzing public transportation usage behavior. This paper deals with the problem of classifying metro stations using metro usage patterns as one of these studies. Since the previous papers dealing with clustering of metro stations only considered traffic among usage behaviors, this paper proposes clustering considering traffic time as one of the complementary methods. Passengers at each station were classified into passengers arriving at work time, arriving at quitting time, leaving at work time, and leaving at quitting time, and then the estimated shape parameter was defined as the characteristic value of the station by modeling each transit time to Weibull distribution. And the characteristic vectors were clustered using the K-means clustering technique. As a result of the experiment, it was observed that station clustering considering pass time is not only similar to the clustering results of previous studies, but also enables more granular clustering.

  • Currently, the domestic electricity rates for houses are charged by applying a progressive level according to monthly electricity usage. Electricity rates rise sharply wWhen the amount of electricity used is large, electricity rates rise sharply. The standardized electricity rate progressive system has limitations in that it lacks consideration of the consumers' power usage patterns and limits consumers' their options. Accordingly, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Electric Power Corporation have been demonstrating the basis of a rate system for housing, which is a method of charging electricity according to the amount of electricity used by season and time. In this paper, 10 electricity usage patterns were derived through from AMI data analysis for 5 five years of 362 apartment complexes located in metropolitan cities. The patterns were, and then applied to the existing domestic electricity rate and time-by-time rates applied to demonstrations, and by time-by-time rates in the US and Australia. The effect of the optional rate by pattern was compared and analyzed. As a result, it was confirmed that benefits occurred in five5 patterns compared to existing rate plans, and the electricity rates increased in 5 five patterns, and t. This phenomenon shows the same phenomenon withis the same as the overseas rates, including domestic rates being demonstrated.

  • The purpose of this study was to find out the current status of smart phone usage, differences of developmental characteristics and time diaries between high- and low- usage groups. The study also tried predicting variables among children's personal and family environment factors in order to classify four year old children in the fifth year Panel Study on Korean Children into the two groups. Data was collected from 435 smart phone users and 157 of them who had started to use a phone before age 3.Frequency analysis, t-test and logistic regression were performed. The results showed that most 4 year old children started to use a phone in their fourth year and used it frequently. The low level groups of girls and all participants showed lower levels of behavior problems, and the low level group of all participants had a longer sleep times than the high level group had. Children's activity and social temperament were identified as predicting variables for classifying children into the two groups. The results suggested the necessity of measures preventing children from excessive smart phone usage in their early years and to consider children's temperament first.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify characteristics of space usage patterns by types of elderly households(single or couple). For the study, 74 elders who were older than 65 were selected and their living behaviors at their home during a day (24 hours) were analyzed. Respondents were classified into 6 types based on a combination of their household type, income level and health status. The results showed that the elderly residents tended to live a well-regulated life, however, each type had unique time and space use pattern. For example, the more the elder residents were healthy, the more they used many rooms. Frail elderly residents spent most of the day in their bedroom. Also, if they had a spouse, each one tended to use a separate private room for his or her daily life whether they shared a bedroom or not.

  • This study is to examine how middle and high school students vary in terms of good and bad usage of online games and how these factors have varying effects on their use of the internet as a whole. My focus is to study their behavioral patterns individually while playing internet-based online games. The results are as follows: First, 260 out of 390 subjects used the internet. Male students who are high school students with siblings, or preschool time game users were revealed to play online games more often rather than female students who are middle school students with no siblings, or non-preschool time game users. Secondly, the analysis of differences of good and bad usage of online games revealed that there is a significant correlation between gender and beginning age. Lastly, a thorough analysis of the average difference in terms of following the online game shutdown found that there is no significant correlation among the sub-groups. However, an analysis of the difference of the problematic game usage has shown that there is a significant difference in the heavy user group. This findings means that the students who don't follow the online game shutdown spend more time than those who do.

  • The Japanese language, as a typical agglutinating language, permits large noun phrases (NP) containing ten or more morphemes. In this paper, we argue that the nature of the NP in Japanese is changing. Our data are drawn from the Balanced Corpus of Contemporary Written Japanese. We conduct a series of apparent-time studies of ongoing changes in complex NPs. We first examine the length of compound nouns, followed by the usage of bound suffixes. We then examine ongoing changes in complex NPs that contain genitive case markers. Finally, we examine noun incorporation. All of our studies show a trend towards shorter, less complex NPs. Furthermore, our results suggest that the usage rate of phrases that modify the noun inside the NP (compound nouns, bound nouns, NPs containing genitive case, noun incorporation) appears to be decreasing over time. On the other hand, the usage rate of modifying material outside of the NP (positional phrases, relative clauses) appears to be increasing over time. We conclude by suggesting that our results reflect a diachronic change of decreasing synthetic morphology and increasing analytic morphology. We end by pointing out the implications of this work on our understanding syntheticity and analyticity.
