Recently, the requirement of healthier and more comfortable environment makes the zoning domain more details. However, it has limitation to satisfy the thermal comfort of an individual because of the effect of the heat generation from the OA machine and partitions in indoor room. In this paper, we certify the validity of task-ambient air-conditioning system that has been developed as a new concept of personal air-conditioning system, and specify design strategies for more efficient task-ambient air-conditioning system with a specification guided by indoor environmental characteristics analyzed through experiment data. In this experiment, we changed the temperature and the quantity of air-flow in task domain to understand characteristic behavior of the thermal environment and investigate the possibility of energy saving. The experiment result is that the environment of the task area depends on the condition of supply air, and though the airflow of the low temperature is supplied with the ambient area, the personal environment and the efficiency of energy saving are improved by controlling the temperature and the quantity of the air shot around the task domain.
This study was designed to devise work wear for plastic house worker. It was carried out (1) research on the clothing actual condition through interviewings with plastic house worker and observations, (2) thermal manikin test to measure thermal resistance of experimental clothes and (3) clothing comparing test in the laboratory and in the plastic house. In the laboratory experiment, it was choosen general type (A) and new devised types (B, C) made of microporous fabric for experimental clothes. Experimental clothes were made of 6 combinations including 3 type work wears (A, B, C) and 2 type underwears (1, 2). In the plastic house experiment, it was choosen general types of A (without rest place) and B (with rest place), and devised type C (with rest place), which was appeared good effect in the laboratory experiment. The results were as followings. 1. Work environment of the plastic house in summer and winter was very different from the outer environment. Work motion in the plastic house was burden to the plastic house workers. 2. Plastic house workers had on the general type's work wear. 3. As a result of thermal manikin test, thermal resistance was appeared B1>B2>C2>C1>A1>A2 in orders. 4. In the laboratory experiment, experimental clothes A was appeared smaller burden than B, C. Effect of mesh underwear was not appeared in this study condition. In subjective sensation, experimental clothes C was lower vote than A. Therefore experimental clothes C was superior to A in subjective wearing sensation. 5. In the plastic house experiment, the experimental conditions with rest place were appeared smaller burden than without rest place. General type B was appeared more positive physiological reactions than devised type C but significances between two types was not appeared.
This study numerically and experimentally investigated on thermal strain analysis of aluminum alloy casting mold using metal foundry. To predict the numerical result of thermal strain in Al alloy casting mold during the cooling process, it is performed the investigation of temperature distribution, stress and displacement based on the physical properties of Al alloy. In results of this study, Al alloy casting mold represented rapidly cooling graph during initial 20minutes after beginning cooling process, therefore value of stress and displacement is rapidly changed during initial 20minutes after beginning cooling process. In addition to, temperature distribution obtained by experiment confirmed corresponding pattern then compared numerical analysis with experiment. These results are distribute to make the effective and the high precision casting mold.

The purpose of this study was to establish whether there are differences in the productivity of the same silkworm(Bombyx mori L.) parthenoclones, obtained by two different methods-thermal and combined, as well as to study their genotype structure by several enzyme loci. It was established that all individuals of parthenoclones Joana, Joana(${\downarrow}{\uparrow}$), Pohi and Pohi(${\downarrow}{\uparrow}$), are homozygous by the studied esterase and phosphoglucomutase loci, which substantiated the clones' genetic stability. By comparative analysis of some biological and technological properties, it was found that parthenoclone Pohi(${\downarrow}{\uparrow}$) obtained by low-high temperature activation is characterized by higher values of these properties as compared to parthenoclone Pohi obtained by thermal parthenogenesis. Comparing the two methods of inducing ameiotic parthenogenetic development, we would recommend that parthenoclone Joana is sustained by thermal parthenogenesis, and parthenoclone Pohi-by the combined method (low-high temperature).
Recent research on nanofluids under forced convection experiment shows that there is little relationship between convective heat transfer and thermal conductivity increase of nanofluids. This kind of new findings are totally different from the traditional theory of nanofluids, which says that the higher thermal conductivity is a prerequisite for convective heat transfer enhancement. To elucidate this controversial issue in a very comprehensible manner, simple natural convection experiment has been carried out for the water- and oil-based nanofluids. ($water-Al_2O_3$, transformer $oil-Al_2O_3$) Present research shows that there exists strong dependence between natural convection performance and thermal conductivity increase of nanofluids.
This study evaluates thermal comfort by air conditioner temperature raising at the point of time that human body begins to adapt. Thermal comfort according to change of time enters by uncomfortable area gradually at general cold room temperature that magnetic pole is in human body. However, can know that keep continuous thermal comfort in case raise temperature in human body adaptation visual point. Experiments were performed in environmental chamber. Subjects were selected 4 men and 4 women whose life cycle were proved that are similar. The subjects stay in the pretesting room during the 30 minutes and enter the testing room under each experiment conditions. During the experiment, brain wave, electrocardiogram, blood pressure and thermal comfort and sensation responses were measured. In this study, physiological and psychological responses correspond under temperature raising at human body adaptation.
The thermal characteristics of solid nitrogen are investigated by experiment and analysis for the purpose of evaluating its feasibility as a cooling medium for HTS (high T$_{c}$ superconductor) magnets. A cryostat to refrigerate a liquid-nitrogen container well below its freezing temperature with a 2-stage GM cryocooler is designed and constructed. The spatial distribution of temperature is measure as a function of time during the freezing and melting processes. from which the thermal diffusivity of solid nitrogen can be approximately calculated. the freezing process is formulated and solved by the integral method with an assumption of phase equilibrium at the solid-liquid interface and experimental observation. It may be concluded that the thermal diffusion in solid phase is much slower than in liquid and the degree of super-saturation is quite severe in the solidification of nitrogen.n.
In this work, the cure cycle of co-cured metal/composite structure was investigated to decrease fabricating thermal residual stresses between the metal and the composite material. DSC (Differential scanning calorimetry) experiment and static lap shear test of co-cured aluminum/composite double lap joint as well as the curvature experiment of co-cured steel/composite strip were performed to investigate the effect of curing cycle on the thermal residual stress of co-cured hybrid structures. From the experiments, it was found that post curing method after abrupt cooling of co-cured aluminum/composite hybrid structure at certain point of degree of cure during curing process could eliminate fabricating the thermal residual stresses.
In this paper, we analyzed the operating characteristics of a ventilating fan due to overload and overheating. The experiment assumed the forcible restraint of the blade due to external objects and the aging process. We analyzed the experimental temperature and operating characteristics of the three places in the interior of the ventilating fan. As a result of the analysis, the temperature distribution was highest to lowest in the following order: the thermal fuse, the motor inside, and the above winding. There was smell of burning enamel in the restraint experiment. Following the thermal fuse operation, the insulation of motor winding was good. In the case of rated voltage and new ventilating fan restrained for about 4hours, and the results of restraint experiments in the presence or absence of the thermal fuse, no risk of deformation or fire due to overheating was identified. Henceforward, ignition hazard experiments will be required for additional factors of aging, pollution, and defective insulation.
CLC is used as a filling material for many buildings, and according to energy saving design standards, CLC also requires insulation performance. However, it shows lower insulation performance compared to organic insulation, so additional research is needed. Therefore, in this study, the insulation properties of CLC were analyzed by incorporating EPS beads with high insulation performance into CLC. In this experiment, EPS beads and blast furnace slag were replaced, and W/B was fixed at 33%. The EPS Bead mixing ratio was divided into 5 levels: 0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 (%), and the experimental items were measured for apparent density and thermal conductivity. As a result of the experiment, the apparent density and thermal conductivity tended to decrease as the mixing ratio of EPS beads increased. It is judged that the density decreased due to the low density and the micropores inside, and the thermal conductivity also decreased.
