Application of BIM on Quantity Estimate for Reinforced Concrete and Formwork

  • The focus of this study is on the accuracy in quantity estimates made by BIM for materials needed during construction. BIM-Revit Architecture 2014 is utilized to establish the information for an actual case to conduct estimates for the amount of reinforced concrete and formwork needed. The actual case is with a total construction area of 5,438 square meters and a total floor area of 31,623 square meters. The building commenced in December 2012 and the major structure has been completed in 2014. It is a RC structure with 4 stories underground, 12 stories above and 3 roof floors. The result shows that both of the quantity estimates of reinforced concrete and formwork are higher than that of actual use in the case. The estimate of reinforced concrete is higher than that of actual use by 2.18%, while the estimate of formwork is higher than that of the actual use by 13.04%. The results indicate that the estimate of reinforced concrete made by BIM has high accuracy, but the accuracy of the formwork estimate still needs improvement.

  • 급격한 도시의 발전을 거듭해 갈수록 인구과밀, 공해오염, 도시 위생문제 등이 발생하면서 상충하는 용도 간의 분리 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 이러한 관점에서 도시의 토지이용이 계획적으로 이루어져야 함에는 이견이 없을 것이다. 따라서 토지공간의 제반 활동을 미리 예측하고 계획적으로 세워 토지이용을 합리적으로 구축하여야 한다. 본 연구는 구축된 데이터를 이용하여 부산광역시의 주거지역, 상업지역, 공업지역 용도분포특성 현황을 비교 분석하여 부산광역시 구·군의 용도지역별 건축물 면적 현황, 연면적, 용적률을 파악하였다. 그 결과 용도지역별 면적 중 주거지역의 비율이 51%로 가장 큰 비율을 차지하고 있었으며, 용도지역별 연면적 중 주거지역의 비율이 63%로 가장 큰 비율을 차지하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 토지이용구성비만으로 지역특성을 파악할 수 있는 특화계수를 사용하여 분석하였다. 면적의 절댓값을 집계하는 것만으로는 지역 전체의 경향을 파악하기 어렵기 때문에 면적 구성비를 계산하여 비교하였다. 용도지역별 특화계수 중 주거시설을 보면 기장군, 사상구, 사하구, 중구 이외에는 1.0 이상을 나타내고 있다. 상업시설은 기장군, 강서구, 남구, 사상구, 사하구 이외에는 1.0 이상을 공업시설을 보면 강서구(2.5), 기장군(1.22), 사상구(2.06), 사하구(1.64)로 공단분포지역임을 알 수 있다. 이외 업무시설과 문교후생시설은 골고루 분포되어 있음을 알 수 있었다. 용도지역별 각 표고에 따른 건축물 높이 현황과 용도지역별 건축물 높이 시뮬레이션을 통한 토지이용 분석을 실시하였다. 전반적으로 부산시는 80m 이상의 지역이 43% 이상을 차지하고 있어, 용도지역의 분포가 지형적인 조건의 영향으로 표고가 높은 지역에 지정되어 있음을 알 수 있었다.

Shaking table test of wooden building models for structural identification

  • In this paper, it is aimed to present a comparative study about the structural behavior of tall buildings consisting of different type of materials such as concrete, steel or timber using finite element analyses and experimental measurements on shaking table. For this purpose, two 1/60 scaled 28 and 30-stories wooden building models with $40{\times}40cm$ and $35{\times}35cm$ ground/floor area and 1.45 m-1.55 m total height are built in laboratory condition. Considering the frequency range, mode shapes, maximum displacements and relative story drifts for structural models as well as acceleration, displacement and weight limits for shaking table, to obtain the typical building response as soon as possible, balsa is selected as a material property, and additional masses are bonded to some floors. Finite element models of the building models are constituted in SAP2000 program. According to the main purposes of earthquake resistant design, three different earthquake records are used to simulate the weak, medium and strong ground motions. The displacement and acceleration time-histories are obtained for all earthquake records at the top of building models. To validate the numerical results, shaking table tests are performed. The selected earthquake records are applied to first mode (lateral) direction, and the responses are recorded by sensitive accelerometers. Comparisons between the numerical and experimental results show that shaking table tests are enough to identify the structural response of wooden buildings. Considering 20%, 10% and 5% damping rations, differences are obtained within the range 4.03-26.16%, 3.91-65.51% and 6.31-66.49% for acceleration, velocity and displacements in Model-1, respectively. Also, these differences are obtained as 0.49-31.15%, 6.03-6.66% and 16.97-66.41% for Model-2, respectively. It is thought that these differences are caused by anisotropic structural characteristic of the material due to changes in directions parallel and perpendicular to fibers, and should be minimized using the model updating procedure.

서울 지하철공사 발파공법의 표준화 (Blasting Standardization works for NATM on the Seoul Subway Construction by Dr, Ginn Huh)

  • On the Seoul Metropolitan Subway Construction of No. 3, 4 Line, the total length is 57 Km and it is now undergoing almost 55% progress. The working method is classified into Open Cut of 70% and the rest of 30% tunnelling method in the 48 job site. Above tunnelling method is execute by American Steel Support System and the rest of 10 job site carried out by New Austria Tunnelling Method. This paper describes Blasting Standardizations works on the above Tunnelling ' Open Cut Method under big slogan, first safety, second execution. As a superintendent, I strived standardization of works with Better powder, Better Drills ' Better Pattern. Geological structure of Seoul area is composed by Jurassic Granite and also the above rockgroup are over burden by Alluviums as a Unconformity. First of all, I carried out the standard amount of powder and burden through experimental standard blasting by each powder as following Blasting works in the subway construction is surrounding shop Building, under pass the city river and also under pass highest building basement floor. I made allowable Blasting Vibration Value by West-Germany Vornorm DIN 4150, Teil 3 and should measure each blasting works as fellows all of powder is used basically Low-Gravity and Low Velocity such as Slurry, Ammonium Nitrate ' Finex I, II. for Smooth Blasting Instead of Gelatin Dynamite. Electric Detonation Cap is used basically M/S Delay Cup instead of Electric delay ' Simultaneous cap. I applied following formula V=KW3/4 $D^{-2}$ V=Particle Velocity (Cm/sec) K=Ginh Huh's Value W=Delay Charge (Kg) D=Distance(m) In the Open Cut, within 1m distance from H-pile I made to use the Concrete breaker, as following V=7W/$^{0.5}$V/$^{-1.75}$ On the Concentrate Building area, I advise to use Light class drill ø36m Bit and advance 1.1m per round blasting the three boom jumbo drill over ø45mm used only suburb of city.e Light class drill ø36m Bit and advance 1.1m per round blasting the three boom jumbo drill over ø45mm used only suburb of city.

도시의 3차원 물리적 환경변수와 지표온도의 관계 분석 (Analysis of the Relationship between Three-Dimensional Built Environment and Urban Surface Temperature)

  • This study examines the relationship between three-dimensional urban built environment and urban surface temperature using LANDSAT 8 satellite image data in Seoul city. The image was divided into 600m×600m grid units as an unit of analysis. Due to the high level of spatial dependency in surface temperature, this study uses spatial statistics to take into account spatial auto-correlation. The spatial error model shows the best goodness of fit. The analysis results show that the three-dimensional built environment and transport environment as well as natural environment have statistically significant associations with surface temperature. First, natural environment variables such as green space, streams and river, and average elevation show statistically significant negative association with surface temperature. Second, the building area shows a positive association with surface temperature. In addition, while sky view factor (SVF) has a positive association with surface temperature, surface roughness (SR) shows a negative association with it. Third, transportation related variables such as road density, railway density, and traffic volume show positive associations with surface temperature. Moreover, this study finds that SVF and SR have different effects on surface temperature in regard to the levels of total floor areas in built environment. The results indicate that interactions between floor area ratio (FAR) and three-dimensional built environmental variables such as SVF and SR should be considered to reduce urban surface temperature.

단선 일방통행 방식의 지하철과 주택가격의 관계 분석 - 서울 지하철 6호선 응암순환선 구간 주변 연립다세대를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Relation between the Single-track Subway and Housing Price - Focused on Row and Multi-family House around Eungam Loop Line of Seoul Subway Line 6 -)

  • 단선 일방통행 방식을 지하철 노선으로 도입한 사례는 국외에도 흔치 않은 사례이다. 국내에서는 서울 지하철 6호선의 응암순환선이 대표적인 단선 일방통행 방식의 구간이다. 본 연구는 이러한 응암순환선과 연립다세대 매매가격의 관계를 역과의 인접성 및 특징에 따른 효과를 규명하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 2006년부터 2017년까지의 총 17,938건의 연립다세대 매매가격의 자료를 활용하여 헤도닉가격모형을 이용한 분석을 진행하였다. 주요 분석의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 응암순환선특성으로 지하철역과의 인접성이 매매가격에 중요한 영향을 미친다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 거리구간별로는 100-200m 구간의 가격수준이 가장 높았고, 노선의 구조적 특징과 관련해서는 주요 지역으로의 이동성과 연결성이 우수한 불광역을 보행권으로 하는 연립다세대의 매매가격이 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 입지특성으로 버스정류장, 마트, 학교와 인접할수록 매매가격에 긍정적 효과를 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 셋째, 연립다세대의 토지특성으로 토지면적은 작을수록 매매가격이 높았고, 토지의 세부적 특성인 형상과 방위, 도로접면에 따라서 매매가격에 미치는 유의적인 차이를 확인하였다. 넷째, 건물 및 소재층특성과 관련하여 주택유형과 건물규모, 경과연수, 승강기유무, 소재층에 따라 매매가격에 미치는 영향의 정도가 다른 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구는 지하철역과의 인접성 및 특징에 따라 연립다세대의 가격에 미치는 효과가 상이하다는 것을 보여줌으로써 비아파트 수요변화에 대응한 주택가격 분석을 위한 참고자료로 활용되고자 한다.

  • In order to ensure building energy management at an appropriate level continuously, it is necessary to define clearly service work of energy management and to suggest evaluation index whether energy management in buildings is fit and improvement is needed or not. But, evaluation index of energy management level in buildings is not suggested yet in Korea. So, the purpose of this paper is to suggest evaluation index of energy management level in buildings, investigate the present state of Korean buildings and evaluate energy management levels. As a result of surveys of evaluation index of energy management, it is found that portion of level 1, which is the best level, is higher than any other level, level 2, level 3. And, throughout analysis, it is found that as total floor area is larger, evaluation index of energy management level is better, and, in order to increase energy management level, first of all, there is necessary for building's users to change understanding about energy saving and make a reform of national policy of energy management in buildings. Because there is rich relationship between items among evaluation index of this stuff and result value of evaluation index, evaluation index of energy management suggested in this study is available to evaluate energy management level in buildings.

Weight of Evidence를 활용한 성폭력 범죄 위험의 확률적 예측 (Probabilistic Prediction of the Risk of Sexual Crimes Using Weight of Evidence)

  • 본 연구는 일상생활 가운데 누구나 겪을 수 있는 성폭력 범죄 위험의 예측을 목적으로 한다. 2011-2015년 5년 간 청주시 일부 지역에서 발생한 성폭력 범죄를 대상으로 베이지안 통계 기반의 Weight of Evidence를 적용·분석하였다. Weight of Evidence를 활용하여 분석한 결과 첫째, 투입된 관련요인(Evidence) 총 26개 중 주거용도면적, 건축물 사용승인일, 개별주택가격, 용적률, 지하층 수, 대지면적, 보안등, 오락시설 8개만이 신뢰도를 만족하여 각각의 가중치(Weight)가 산출되었다. 둘째, 가중치가 산출된 8개의 관련요인을 결합하여 최종적으로 예측 지도를 도출하였다. 성폭력 범죄가 발생할 위험이 75.5%인 지역은 대상지역 전체면적의 20.7%(2.0㎢)를 차지하였으며 16.5% 지역은 3.3%(0.3㎢), 34.5% 지역은 19.0%(1.8㎢)로 나타났다. 본 연구는 성폭력 범죄 위험의 발생 확률과 이를 감소시킬 수 있는 환경적 요인 또는 조건을 도출하였다. 이와 같은 결과는 경찰의 범죄예방 활동 등 성폭력 범죄 피해 최소화를 위한 선제적 대응방안 마련의 기초자료로서 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

Numerical assessment of post-tensioned slab-edge column connection systems with and without shear cap

  • Introduction of prestressed concrete slabs based on post-tensioned (PT) method aids in constructing larger spans, more useful floor height, and reduces the total weight of the building. In the present paper, for the first time, simulation of 32 two-way PT slab-edge column connections is performed and verified by some existing experimental results which show good consistency. Finite element method is used to assess the performance of bonded and unbonded slab-column connections and the impact of different parameters on these connections. Parameters such as strand bonding conditions, presence or absence of a shear cap in the area of slab-column connection and the changes of concrete compressive strength are implied in the modeling. The results indicate that the addition of a shear cap increases the flexural capacity, further increases the shear strength and converts the failure mode of connections from shear rigidity to flexural ductility. Besides, the reduction of concrete compressive strength decreases the flexural capacity, further reduces the shear strength of connections and converts the failure mode of connections from flexural ductility to shear rigidity. Comparing the effect of high concrete compressive strengths versus the addition of a shear cap, shows that the latter increases the shear capacity more significantly.

The Hedonic Method in Evaluating Apartment Price: A Case of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

  • The study examines factors affecting apartment prices in the real estate market of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The study uses primary data based on surveys of customers who have traded successfully, and collects transaction data from real estate trading companies that are the top investors in Ho Chi Minh City real estate market. The collected data include 384 observations in a total of 24 districts, detailing that each district surveyed on a minimum of four projects, each project carried out a survey on a minimum of four apartments. The survey collected 339 valid questionnaires for analysis and model testing. This study employs multivariate regression with the data of 339 observations. The research results reveal that five significant factors affect positively the price of apartments in Ho Chi Minh City - apartment area, toilet and bedroom, apartment floor, reference price, and apartment interior. Besides, there are three significant factors affecting negatively the price of apartments - next price trend, distance to city center, and potential building. From the results, the research proposes solutions in the pricing of apartments in the real estate market in Ho Chi Minh City - better information system, a real estate transaction index, and stricter management of small brokerage activities.
