Free viewpoint video (FVV) service is an immersive media service that allows a user to watch it from a desired location or viewpoint. It is composed of various forms according to the direction of the viewpoint of the provided video, and includes zoom in/out in the service. As consumers' demand for active watching is increasing, the importance of FVV services is expected to grow gradually. However, additional considerations are needed to seamlessly stream FVV service. FVV includes a plurality of videos, video changes may occur frequently due to movement of the viewpoint. Frequent occurrence of video switching or re-request another video can cause service delay and it also can lower user's quality of service (QoS). In this case, we assumed that if a video showing an object that the user wants to watch is selected and provided, it is highly likely to meet the needs of the viewer. In particular, it is important to provide an object-oriented FVV service when zooming in. When video zooming in in the usual way, it cannot be guaranteed to zoom in around the object. Zoom function does not consider about video viewing. It only considers the viewing screen size and it crop the video view as fixed screen location. To solve this problem, we propose a zoom in/out method of object-centered dynamic adaptive streaming of FVV in this paper. Through the method proposed in this paper, users can enjoy the optimal video service because they are provided with the desired object-based video.

In this study, a systematic survey was employed to investigate managers' awareness on the safety culture project in small- to medium-sized industries. The existing regulatory and technology-oriented disaster prevention strategy has been implemented to reduce industrial accidents within a short timeframe, but it is essential to reduce fundamental accidents as well by improving the organizational safety culture or software elements, such as safety awareness. Questionnaires and interviews were conducted to examine the managers' awareness about safety culture, consisting of 17 questions related to safety consulting and with the participation of 191 executives and safety managers. The results showed a significant difference in the self-pay rate of safety consulting depending on the size of the workplace under evaluation. Based on the results, the safety-consulting business focused on providing differentiated consulting support and realistic improvement plans according to the workplace size. The study concluded that it is possible to reduce fundamental human errors and improve organizations' safety awareness or safety culture by employing safety consulting differentiated by workplace size.

Public Signs guiding drivers on the road should help make decisions within a short period of time, so appropriate information should be effectively expressed at the point. Currently, the road marking rules revised by the law show a significant change in the type of information, expression method, and weight of expression compared to existing road signs to be based on road name addresses. This study analyzed whether the revised road signs changed based on the road name were effective in perspective of perception-cognition-understanding-projection and examined whether they provided appropriate information for the actual driving environment. Based on the analyzed information, an experiment was conducted to present an improved design, evaluate the degree of visibility compared to existing road name-oriented signs, and a qualitative investigation was conducted on the suitability of the sign contents. Through this, it is expected that more suitable driving information and measures to increase intuitive visibility can be reviewed.

Purpose - The purpose of this study is to present what the port of Pyeongtaek, the hub of Korean trade with China, should improve in the current situation, wherein the e-commerce trade volume between Korea and China is increasing due to the development of online technology. Design/methodology - In this study, through prior research and expert interviews on e-commerce and port activation between borders, we derived the main improvement factors for 1) Administration and Systems, 2) Facilities, 3) Transport, and 4) Manpower, and selected 12 detailed variables for the major improvement factors. To identify the relative importance of the major improvement factors, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method was applied, and a survey was conducted among 15 related experts. Findings - As a result, among the 12 detailed variables, Composition of Association (0.267) was the first factor to be improved, followed by Incentive Support (0.143) and E-Commerce Cluster (0.131). Based on these analyses, the main implications of this study are, first, in the current situation where the cross-border e-commerce market is growing, Pyeongtaek Port needs to form a consultative body among the government, local governments, and related businesses in connection with cross-border e-commerce and develop various support policies for the e-commerce market. Second, it will have to be able to provide differentiated services from competing ports by establishing e-commerce market-oriented clusters. Originality/value - In existing related studies, various improvements were presented to revitalize trade in line with the growth of the cross-border e-commerce market. However, with regard to most cross-border e-commerce businesses, one-dimensional improvement measures, such as improvement of payment systems, improvement of customs clearance services, and promotion of human resources, are presented in a piecemeal manner. In other words, none of the studies have proposed the importance and priority of each measure in terms of both the forward-looking and efficient allocation of resources, which is the purpose of this study. Therefore, this study contributed politically, practically, and academically by presenting countermeasures for ports to revitalize cross-border e-commerce and presenting strategic priorities using quantitative analysis methods.

This article attempted to apply the methodology of film acting as a performance oriented towards socio-cultural meaning to Min-sik Choi's acting. Specifically, the relationship between the body, the face, the audio, the direction and the attitude toward film technology mentioned in the interview dictation of actor Choi Min-sik was analyzed. In conclusion, Min-sik Choi's acting cannot be defined only by method acting, but implies or integrates the typical or avant-garde acting theories such as Stanislavsky, Strasberg, Mayerhold, Brecht and Grotovski. Above all, it is the presentation that expresses the flow of life through movement suggested by S. Kracauer. The feeling of compassion that Choi Min-sik himself emphasizes is in contact with the essence of the film that reproduces the flow of life, and it expands to an intended screen performance with a certain purpose. The screen performance that can be compressed with compassion and the flow of life is expressed by Min-sik Choi's various personas. His persona, transcending good and evil, reflects the present of Korean society.

As BIM(Building Information Modeling) technology advances in architecture around the world, projects and industries using BIM are increasing. Unlike previous developments that were limited to buildings, BIM is now spreading to other fields such as civil engineering and electricity. In architecture, BIM is used in the entire process from design to maintenance of a building, and IFC(Industry Foundation Classes), a neutral format with interoperability, is used as an open BIM format. Since firefighting requires intuitive 3D models for evacuation and fire simulations, BIM models are desirable. However, due to the BIM model, which was developed centered on building objects, there are no objects and specific properties for fire evacuation in the IFC scheme. Therefore, in this study, when adding a new object in the firefighting area to the IFC schema, the IFC interoperability is not broken and the building WBS(Work Breakdown Structure) is analyzed with a hierarchical system similar to the IFC format to define the scope for a new object and the firefighting part within of the building WBS to derive a firefighting HBS(Hierarchy Breakdown Structure) with the extension of the object-oriented IFC file. And according to HBS, we propose an IFC schema extension method. It is a methodology that allows BIM users to instantly adapt the IFC schema to their needs. Accordingly, the methodology derived from this study is expected to be expanded in various areas to minimize information loss from IFC. In the future, we will apply the IFC extension methodology to the actual development process using HBS to verify that it is actually applicable within the IFC schema.

Recently, the number of elderly living alone suffering from loneliness and depression is also increasing significantly due to the rapid aging of the population and nuclear families. In this paper, we propose a smart aging system that increases life satisfaction by providing the elderly with the optimal service tailored to the elderly with the help of IT according to their residential environment and health status. It is possible to provide an advanced customized support system for the elderly by fully utilizing IoT, AI, and Metaverse techniques not only for the elderly who want to live an active life in society but also for the elderly who need care in a nursing hospital. The proposed system provides human satisfaction by providing social connection in real space and virtual space in accordance with the residential environment and health status to the elderly suffering from loneliness in hospital (hospital care) facilities and at home. This paper proposes a new path for future-oriented welfare policy for the elderly by providing a user-customized smart aging system by combining AI and Metaverse technology with a rapidly changing social environment.

As of 2020, 1,564 roundabouts have been installed and operated to prevent major traffic accidents and promote safe and smooth passage over the past 10 years. According to the Korea Transportation Research Institute, the number of accidents decreased by an average of 43.8% per year, fatal accidents by 50%, and serious injuries by 48.1%, confirming the safety effect. However, most intersections with high pedestrian traffic, such as children's protection areas near elementary schools, operate signal intersections. Therefore, in this study, a simulation was performed through the VISSM program to conduct a study on the pedestrian-centered roundabout installation method. This study was conducted to ensure that pedestrians can have the right of way safely by installing and operating traffic lights at crosswalks on roundabouts located in urban areas or child protection zones.

As the strategy to support SMEs' innovation has shifted to induce market-oriented innovation, the Korean government increasingly invests in grant-type R&D projects proposed by SME firms. This study reveals the characteristics of grant-type R&D projects proposed by SME firms through a transition of national R&D strategy and demand-pull innovation perspectives. This study also examines the differences between grant-type R&D projects proposed by firms and R&D projects led by the government through logit-analysis and propensity score matching methods. As a result, we found that a national R&D project for SMEs yields better innovation performance when the project is proposed by a company than led by the government.

Information and communication industry, which has been growing rapidly, is now leading the global economic growth, contributing a ripple effect on general business and economic structure. It is said that information and communication industry enables swift economic growth taking a role as a basic industry of information-oriented society. Especially, rapid technical innovation promotes mutual growth of other related industries and it is technology-intensive. The purpose of this research is to analyze the management efficiency of information and communication industry using DEA method, and finally suggests numerical value for inefficient organizations to improve their efficiency. CCR-I, BCC-I efficiency and RTS(Returns to scale) of 29 companies engaged in information and communication industry was evaluated. With the results, we suggested the model companies for benchmarking in information and communication industry. To summarize, 7 companies were selected with CCR-I efficiency rate 1, and 12 companies with BCC-I efficiency rate 1. RTS was finalized with 8 IRS companies, 10 DRS companies, and 11 CRS companies.
